Okay, Dandadan is probably one if the stupidest plots for an anime I've ever watched, but DESPITE THAT-

It still manages to have extremely compelling characters, an awesome rom-com of the two MCs, awesome supernatural powers, and a surprisingly tasteful portrayal of the main plot.

Like, I know anime, I've watched food wars. I know how anime can be, and suffice to say: I'm honestly happy with how the writers are treating the plot.

It's not overtly sexual, they haven't turned the missing balls into some sex-fueled fantasy that can only be solved through fanservice and the main characters getting it on. Instead it's been treated like it is: a circumstance thats so fucking ridiculous it is legitimately hysterical, the idea that a ghost stole your balls is honestly comedic, and I'm glad that the anime (I haven't fully read the manga so I can't speak for it) is treating it as such.

Plus, the Opening, and artstyle in which the anime is being produced with is so fucking incredible, from the designs, angles, and action sequences to the actual character movements, each scene feels so alive and every personality really pops through the character's motions. I don't feel like there is a stagnant moment in the anime so far, and it's really fucking awesome to just sit and take in the art that is being blasted into my retinas.

So all in all: do I contemplate my life choices every time I think about the plot of the show? Yes, but do I also take into account that it could've been worse, and what we got is actually really fucking amazing all things considered? Absolutely.

Yeah, Dandadan is my favourite manga. I've been a fan of it for a year but it keeps getting better. The characters are all likeable and fleshed out. The storyline is wacky and always interesting in the directions it goes and the romance is developed really well too. It's peak.

So a week ago, I started reading new manga (online), and recently there's a new anime series in Autumn 2024, and currently has 5 episodes, the story is about aliens & youkais and cute romcom 🥰

Yes, I read and reached chapter 173, which was just out yesterday, so that means, 172+1 chapters finished within a week!

Usually, if I didn't go to uni/school in general, like in summer break, I would have finished 150+ within 3-4 days

Recently, I've been thinking of doing analysis about Dandadan as well, but it's still in consideration, because I still have SPY x FAMILY analysis here, and it's still undone! So not quite sure if I have the urge to make a blog about Dandadan, even though this is currently a hot anime. And there haven't been many blogs about Dandadan doing analysis (i think?) So Fujimoto-sensei has his amazing assistants who also have great manga series and earn popularity and respect from the fans! One of them is Tatsu-sensei, the author of Dandadan.

Next, Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku (Spring 2023) by Kaku Yugi (I heard it's coming up for season 2)

I have already read and finish the manga, like a year ago. Trust me, it's wild (but ofc R - 17+) (the manga is a bit 18+ :"))

Finally, you guessed it! SPY x FAMILY by Tatsuya Endo!!!

I've been wanting to tell ya this, but I kept waiting and you know, busying with exams :")))
