Bojan's heart blouse! I don't know how visible this was on livesteams / pictures but there was a lipstick kiss mark in the middle of the cut out heart right on his sternum (And that just makes me wonder who made the kiss mark? )

Soooo soo happy they played šta bih ja, I was kinda worried they'd keep rotating out the new songs (though I was kinda hoping for behind those eyes with a little encouragement at Kris in dutch )

Umazane Misli went on for so long but the first Dutch translation was SO GOOD, it kept the meaning of the original but it flowed so well

We also got UM in Friesian and Limburgs(?) so thats cool

We had a Slovene girl behind her with her Dutch boyfriend/friend? and when Metulj started she got very exited and asked him what butterfly was in Dutch and it was adorable

During Metulj Nace changed his sweater?

Part two of Jure's pictures analysis, because Damon Baker is trying to kill me, apparently

So first of all, a minute of pure excitment because WE GOT PICTURED IN COLOR!!!!

Now to start off with the biggest picture on top. Jure is curled in on himself, covering his ears. He almost resembles a child here, which I think is deliberate. He is dressed in a soft sweater, his jeans look slightly too short, akin to a kid experiencing a growing spur and his socks are pulled high up, which we often associate with children as well.

He seems boxed in, tormented. Like he can't listen to whoever or whatever is tormenting him anymore. I also think it's interesting how this directly opposes Kris' inner child picture, but I will talk about that in a separate post.

In the other colored picture where he is smoking he seems relaxed, if disconnected. From the position of the photos, I am almost getting the vibe that the above picture is how he feels inside and this picture is how he is reacting outwardly. By smoking and dissociating.

The little black and white picture seems to be the most significat. Tjere is thinck eyeliner and Jure is staring directly into the camera. The sweater is pulled closer to him, but due to all the pictures we've seen, I am getting more of the vibe it's constricting rather than safe thing for him.

Idk what to make of the red picture with a lamp(yet) but I am very curious, since we didn't see that lighting in any other pictures 👀

!!! Gig Report Leipzig !!!

- Queue was very chill. We arrived at 4pm-ish and were 18 & 19 EA, so all good. While we were waiting for the doors to open Jan walked by, staring at his phone in confusion and vanishing behind a building. We were all a little worried if he was gonna find back to the venue ngl

- Met so many amazing people!!!! Everyone was so so so sweet and respectful oh my god I love you guys so much

- EA was so cute. Bojan explained the sound system to us. Kris walked out like a member of the royalty holding a tiny cup. The played ASTP & uhhhhh Omameljeno telo I think (?) blacked out a little there

- Kris and Jure vanished immediately after, Jan, Nace & Bojan came down and took a few photos and gave a few autographs!!

- Sector5 & JC Stewart were really fun!!!

- I think from second one everybody in the room knew it was gonna be an amazing concert. The energy from the crowd (although NOT sold out, half of the room was empty basically) was INSANE and I think they really caught onto that.

- The mesh shirt was back

- Jure Eyeliner???? + THE sweater??

- Nace played a bass solo……the man is insanely talented…fr I was fucking changed

- Someone from the crowd shouted „Can you play *this song*?“ (didn’t catch what they said) and Bojan was like. „No. (Pause) Can you play rugby????…….just wanted to know.“ He is so silly istg. And really knows how to deal with comments lol

- Vse Kar Vem changed my life watered my crops etc. as always

- Bojan took a BIG walk around the audience during UM and let a lot of people sing. Jumped back out onto the stage right next to us. Ahhhhh. What the fuck

- During Metulji, Bojan propped up a painting of himself on Jan's piano to get Jan „in the mood“. Jan gave it a little kiss. During the first verse (?) the painting fell down with like. Perfect comedic timing. Bojan put it back up again and acted super heartbroken but then he could NOT stop giggling and neither could the crowd. It was so fucking funny

- Afterwards we got some pictures with the boys and talked. Jan Nace & Jure took their time, Bojan is getting sick again I think (no one is surprised) and really wanted to sleep and Kris went straight into the bus

- Oh yeah and Damon Baker was also there and spilled some tea hahahahah. An icon. Bless him

I have been so incredibly lucky to get to hang out with you and the others at both Ruis and Kokkolan Venetsialaiset this summer, but nothing, truly NOTHING, will top the late night breakdown, standing in front of my hallway mirror with you wearing the knit Jure sweater and me wearing the Damon sweater (while full of food from [redacted]).

I am not a Käärijä fan, but my wonderful friends are and how can I say no to having a good time?

When I went to Turun Terassikesä, Jere yapped about how Jesse had only four fans because a handful of people including me and @harmaanoita kept hyping Jesse up and cheering for him. I got the setlist from Jesse after the gig, which made me want to prove Jere wrong even more. So, in preparation for the gigs, I made five Jesse fan bracelets to gift to my equally or even more Jesse supporting friends.

Bracelet #1 went to @theplantbish without whom I wouldn't even be a Jesse fan and I kept #2. When the gig was beginning, I still had bracelet #5 and my friends encouraged me to give it to Jesse. Against all expectations, he's still wearing it and I adore him for it.

Highlights from the gigs and my road trip:

Meeting @theplantbish for the first time and fawning over Jesse together

Fudging heck and I need to do knit math and it's too fucking early for knit math

So the Jure 1/Damon 2 sweater is on pause while I wait for one of the yarns to restock. A little frustrating, seeing as I got all the other yarns I needed, so it's ONE fudging skein that's keeping me from making progress.

But fear not.

Because we now have... the Jure 2 sweater. Or technically just the Jure sweater seeing as what I have been calling the Jure 1 sweater so far is technically Damon 2. It's confusing.

But I digress.

I'm talking this pretty thing, which I through intense pixel staring and some slightly intimidating assistance have assessed is a crocheted sweater.

Now, have I crocheted before?

Yes.

Have I crocheted a sweater before?

No.

So my first course of action is, naturally, to learn how to crochet a sweater with raglan increases. It's... going sort of well so far? Bought some fairly cheap cotton yarn, found a youtube tutorial that has held up pretty well and that I have been... sort of adapting so I can try to make the mockup look as much as Jure's sweater as possible. For science.

We'll see how much that will bite me in the ass later.

But yeah. I am once again on my fiber arts bullshit, this time sort of with a pattern but actually not really. Business as usual.

I cast on to knit a quick swatch for the Jure sweater last night (had packed up the Damon sweater for a quick train ride, and so was out of something to do) and I feel like I am having a fudging identity crisis.

Using two yarns from Filcolana, one thread Peruvian Highland Wool and one thread Alva (100% alpaca) and somehow it feels like I am knitting with a cotton yarn? It's such a bizarre feeling.

That said, I may need to rethink the PHW. It is a glorious yarn, and I love using it, but it knits almost too chunky to get the same semi-loose gauge seen in the pictures. I may need to go back to the yarn store tomorrow and see if Filcolana Pernilla (100% wool) might be a better option.
