Not really a question, but an expression of gratitude for creating a monument to this sublime couple. If hollow, I still hope to see the DCAMU return for further adventures, yet if that never happens, then at least this will be a nice place to soothe the wounds.

Thank you darling, that means so much. I'm very grateful for my readers and their feedback.

But yeah I hope DC eventually give us more canon Damirae, but if they don't at least there is always fanfiction. And sometimes that's better.

BEYOND THE VEIL Chapter 8: The Date

Raven

For something that neither of us would openly consider a date, it goes surprisingly well. Talking to Damian is easy, even if he tries not to be. There’s something about our banter—though adversarial, it’s also playful. Like a game of cat and mouse, it’s a challenge for both of us. But I’m definitely the cat, and Damian will only be caught if he lets me.

I’ll admit, it’s a strange strategy, but it’s interesting. He acts aloof, but he’s not disinterested. I notice how his eyes steal glances at me, lingering when he thinks I’m too invested in measuring how much of my martini is left. It feels more like a chess game than a date, and for some reason, I think we both take comfort in that.

“So, why don’t you tell me more about your job?”

“I’d rather kill myself.”

I laugh. “That’s an overreaction.”

“You think that,” he says evenly between sips of coffee.

“It can’t be that bad.”

He eases back. “No, it’s not. I honestly love my job. It’s complicated and stressful, so when I’m away from it, I don’t like talking about it.”

I smile at him, sensing that even sharing that much is probably an overshare for him. “Will you at least tell me if you’re good at it? Freelance security? ”

“I’m exceptional at it,” he says, confident but not gloating. Just... assured. “That’s why I can talk to my supervisor like that.”

“I get the sense you don’t like being told what to do.”

“What ever makes you think that?” he jokes as I take the last sip of my drink.

“I’ll tell you over another drink.”

Dami is Jealous

Raven: You're the most jealous man I know.

We all know Raven and Damian’s height difference completely shifted over time. She used to be taller than him and, by the end of the movies, he was much taller than her. Almost a foot taller.

But boys usually have a growth spree that happens over night. So imagine Damian going to Gotham as a 5’6 teen for a couple weeks one summer and then coming back as a grown ass 6’2 or 6’3 man that is not done growing yet😭

*Damian returns to the Titans Tower and is sitting down on one of the couches reading a book. Raven happens to pass by and catches glimpse of him.*

Raven: Look what Gotham finally decided to dump-

*Damian getting up to greet her appropriately and all that Raven sees is how he keeps going up and looking down at her.*

Damian *notices her reaction*: Are you feeling well?

Raven *not flustered and confused at all*: Who are you and what have you done with Damian?

Damirae Week 2023 (Day 3): Book/Movie Inspired AU --DUNE--

Watching Dune at theatres was an absolute experience I would trade for nothing, so I took some of my favorite scenes for Day 3 🤩 Highly recommend "Quicksilver & Blue" by ViLaVi on AO3 for a fictional take on a damirae-dune AU

Dick; she’s like…walking around like a Zombie.

Dick: she just looks dead and is very sluggish

Damian: how long has she been like that?

Damian: *sighs and puts his stuff down* where is she?

Dick: living room

Damian: *heads over there*
