It Had To Be You XXV
Chapter Twenty Five: Speechless
Tumblr media
Summary: Tyler takes you to the Stars annual Casino Night
Author’s Note: I was going to make this a one-shot. Like write a chapter that included the Casino night but that wasn’t all about it and then do an imagine that had nothing to do with this series. But I thought that would be too confusing. So… I did a short, fluffy kind of chapter instead.. The end just kinda… happened… Enjoy!
Warning: none. Just adorableness. Maybe some steam?

  masterlist
You had tossed and turned all night, earning many grumblings from Tyler who repeatedly told you how much of an annoying sleeper you were, but you weren’t entirely sure why. Until Sunday morning
“I can’t go to this thing…” you said, turning the corner
“What? What do you mean?” Tyler asked, scrunching his face when he saw the worried look on yours
“I don’t have anything to wear.. I didn’t bring anything fancy… Definitely not like Gala worthy…” you whined and he laughed
“I thought you might say that”
  “What? Why?”
“I know you,” he chuckled, “that’s why. And that’s why I got you a dress. It’s in the bedroom, in my closet, go look.” You rummaged through Tyler’s closet trying to find the dress he’d hidden from you -- apparently he thought you’d look in his closet and find it before he had a chance to show it to you.
“I don’t see i--” you called out before you saw the green fabric peeking out behind a black garment bag. You moved the fabric between your fingers before taking it off the rack to look at it straight on. It was velvet, hunter green, with a semi-plunging neckline and it looked like it was going to be way too long on you because it was floor length which made you nervous; he probably had shoes lined up for you as well.
“Did you find it?” He asked, coming in to find you standing back and staring at the dress, “do you like it?”
“It’s beautiful,” you answered, faltering slightly at the end of your sentence, “it might be too long though. And there’s no time to fix it if it is…”
“The shoes!” he blurted out and you chuckled, “they’re under the dress. There was a box on the floor…”
“You really thought of everything didn’t you?”
“I guess so,” he winked before grinning widely, “try everything on. We have to go soon anyway.” You took a deep breath and went to try on the dress, Tyler excused himself to take a shower so he could be surprised at the final reveal. There were things you hadn’t noticed when you looked at the dress on the hanger, well one thing. The long slit on the right side of the dress went all the way up to your thigh, displaying the small tattoo you had there with ease and you tried to disguise it but it was no use. You were right though, without heels on, you would trip over the fabric that dragged beneath your feet. When you looked at yourself in the mirror, you couldn't believe it was actually you. And that you actually felt beautiful. For the first time in a long time, you looked at yourself in the mirror and saw someone beautiful looking back at you, instead of someone who was too big or too sick or not good enough in some way. You realized you only had a few hours until you and Tyler had to leave to get to the venue, so you took off the four-inch black Stiletto heels that Tyler picked out for you that were already killing your feet and carefully tore off the dress so you could jump in the shower when Tyler came into the room.
“Oooh is this my ‘thank you’ present?” he said, scrunching his hair in a towel while he looked you up and down where you stood in the bra and underwear you had on under the dress
  “Nope”
“(Y/N).. baby.. come on, please..” he whined and you laughed, gathering up your cleanser and a razor to take into the shower with you
“I have to get ready too. You had your shower, now I have to have mine,” Tyler was suddenly in front of you and you leaned up to press a kiss to his jawline, whispering in his ear “if you behave, maybe we’ll sneak away from the crowd.” With that he was absolutely still, giving you the chance to kiss his cheek and run off to take your shower; only stopping for a second when you heard him say
“I’m gonna hold you to that…”
Let it be known that this dress was not an easy one to wear.
You changed your lingerie three times to make everything seamless underneath, any slips made it look bulky so they were out, you wanted to wear tights but the dress literally wouldn’t allow it and the slit made it nearly impossible to move quickly so you had to be very intentional with your movements the rest of the night.
The shoes on the other hand were the Devil’s work.
The second you started walking in them you wanted to die. They made your legs look fantastic but they also made your entire body wish you didn’t have feet. A lot of conflicting emotions and Tyler had yet to see you. You sprayed some perfume on your wrists, neck and behind your ears like Lucy showed you when you were 8 -- a habit you never quite grew out of -- and looked at yourself in the mirror once more. Tyler called out to you just as you were walking to the stairs to meet him.
“Babe, if we don’t leave now, we’re going to be late…”
“I’m coming! I’m trying to get used to this damn shoes. You’re trying to kill me!”
“I’m sure you’ll be fine besides you’ll look hot in them. That’s why I got them.”
“How did you even know my sizes?” you said from the top of the stairs, carefully walking down seeing him fixing his tie in the mirror
“Your sister, now hurry u--” his jaw dropped when he saw you, no words left on his tongue and you smiled as your cheeks tinted pink
“Ty?” you asked, continuing down the last few steps and he was finally able to compose himself enough to smile but still didn’t speak, “are you okay?” You pushed him aside so you could make sure your hair and makeup were okay, noticing that Tyler’s eyes never left you; although they danced across your body before landing on your face in the mirror. After about 10 minutes, he finally told you how beautiful you looked, making your face go beet red, and his hands came up to your hips; running them up and down the velvet fabric while he kissed your neck.
“Hmm,” you hummed as you felt his lips glide across your skin, “we have to go…” Just as quickly as it was said, Tyler was opening the door to guide you out to the car. Half an hour later, you walked into the Park Plaza Lexus arm and arm with Tyler, slightly overwhelmed by the grandness of it all. You mingled with people throughout the night, watched Tyler play a hand of Texas Hold ‘Em, took a couple shots with Jamie and tried your hand at Craps with Tyler at your side.
“Want me to blow on the dice?” he asked, wiggling his eyebrows excitedly
“Go for it, baby!” you laughed, knowing that he was being completely serious when he asked. You brought your hands up to his lips and watched as he let a light breeze drift across the dice in your palms; you bit your lip when you felt a tingle go through your body, which Tyler immediately noticed forcing him to hide a grin. The rest of the night was full of pictures with fans and supporters for the Foundation, with quick chats between the media and the team while you tried to keep your distance from the Ice Girls. You found yourself watching Tyler from across the room a few times, enamored by his charisma, before you noticed Devin slumped over the bar. When you tapped on his shoulder, he jumped slightly
  “Shit, (Y/N), you scared me”
“Sorry, Dev. You okay?” you asked, “not having a good night?”
“I might not be here tomorrow…” he whispered under his breath
“What do you mean?” you leaned in, asking him gently
“They’re talking about a trade…” You were surprised that, if he was right, it would be talked about tonight. It seems like something that should be left for a regular day, not on the night of an event fundraiser; you stood there contemplating for a minute, biting the inside of your cheek before you spoke
“Let’s just enjoy the night. Come with me?” you asked, noticing the hesitation on his face but he obliged, grabbing your hand after shooting the rest of his drink.
  “Where are we going?”
“To get your mind back on gambling…” you laughed, guiding Devin to the Roulette table and gestured for him to play. A couple rounds later, he was back to being the happy guy you had grown so fond of over the past year or so. You saw him wander over to the photo booth with some people with a big smile on his face and you smiled in return, knowing that he would be okay for the rest of the night but when you saw Tyler and Jamie standing with Monty, you paused, unsure of whether to let them be or to interrupt; your decision was made when you saw Tyler’s jaw tense and his head drop.
“There you are!” you cooed, attaching yourself to Tyler’s hip to give him a kiss on the cheek, “Jamie, Jim.. how are you?” You felt Tyler’s chest fall like he was releasing all of his stress he didn’t even know he was holding
“We’re good, how are you (Y/N)?” Jim asked, “enjoying the night?” You nodded but got distracted when you felt Tyler’s hand roam slowly to the small of your back.
“It’s been a really good night I think, but..” you grabbed Tyler’s hand, “we’re just going to run to the photo booth before it gets too late…” Just as you two started walking away, Jamie rushed over to you, surprising you and making Tyler growl
“I didn’t know you had a tattoo (Y/N)...” he smiled and nodded toward the slit in your dress, bringing a blush to your cheeks while Tyler tugged at your wrist to get you to come with him. When you got to the photo booth, you were very aware how open it was since Tyler was doing his best to brush his hand under your dress
“Staahhpp” you whined, “babe, people can see us”
“I’ve been good” he whispered in your ear, still trying to guide his hand under your dress
“Huh?” was all you could return and he snapped back to look at you
“You said if I behaved, we’d sneak away, we snuck away…” You remembered what you had said before your shower and a small smile crept on your lips
“I saw how angry you were getting with Monty. I don’t know what was being said but I came to rescue you…”
“But I was on my best behaviour…” he went back to kiss your neck while the camera flashed
“Not here baby…” you managed to pull him away and convince him to take a nice picture before he guided you into a dark hallway where no one could see you. You leaned against the wall underneath him, while his left arm stretched past you, his palm resting on the wall just above your head as he slowly leaned down to kiss you; stopping just before he got to your lips
“Is here okay?” he grinned and you slid your hands around his neck, watching his lips carefully, and tangled your hands in his hair
“You’ve been very good tonight Mr. Seguin…” you bit your bottom lip when you felt his right hand grab your waist tightly at your words, still watching his lips. He dropped his palm from the wall to run his thumb over your cheek before finally pressing a soft kiss to your lips that built into an intense flurry of passion; his body crashing yours into the wall while his hands grabbed your waist and your hands tugged at the fabric of his suit jacket, your lips never parting until he inched back to grab some air. As you stood in front of him, chest heaving up and down, hands still clutching his jacket, you noticed his eyes go dark and you swallowed in anticipation of what he was thinking
“Do you want to show me how bad you can be?” he whispered and you pressed your body against his, not knowing what sounds would come out of your mouth if you tried to speak, which he took as your agreeing to his leaving the event without saying goodbye to anyone.
What could being bad mean to Tyler? Guess it was time to find out...

Casino Night || Tyler Seguin
A/N: Here’s a little something I’ve had ready to go for quite a while now. I kinda really like this one. I hope you enjoy, feedback is always welcome :)
Warnings: Language and drinking
Pairing: Tyler x Reader
P.O.V: Reader
Word Count: 1759
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you started dating Tyler, you knew there were going to be formal events you would be attending. You had been with Tyler going on 9 months, and in those 9 months you had been to a handful of formal events with him. Every time you were required to get all dolled up you had, and he along with quite a few others had told you that you looked amazing each time.
When you had woke up Tyler was still in bed, not wanting to wake him you silently rolled out of bed. You took a quick shower before going down to the kitchen to make coffee and breakfast. As you were finishing up the eggs Tyler wrapped his arms around your waist placing a kiss on your cheek.
"Good morning, babe," you smiled, you loved his raspy morning voice. You turn to face him, reaching up to kiss his lips.
"Good morning, how'd you sleep?"
"Prety good, what about you?" He took a strip of bacon as he went to pour him a cup of coffee.
"I slept good." He's only been up for a few minutes, half hour tops, but he seems just a little off. Before you were able to asking him what was going on he opened his mouth.
"I need to talk to you about something, and please don't take it wrong," You stop what you were doing, you couldn't think of anything he would need to talk to you about that you'd take wrong. You wait for him to continue. "You know tonight's casino night, and it's a bit of a formal event. I would appreciate if you would maybe just try a little harder," his words stunned you, but he's not done. "It really looks bad on me when you look like you gave your look a half ass attempt. Babe, you need to remember you're not longer in your hometown," he gives you a sympathetic look.
"Did those words really just fall from your lips?" You're trying to wrap your head around what he just told you.  It was hard to determine whether you were hurt or pissed more. Not waiting for a response and not sure what you were supposed to do, you turn and leave the kitchen. You walk into the guest bedroom where you had your dress hanging. You weren't able to see what he was talking about; it was simple yet elegant. You wished he would've told you this sooner, so you had more than a few hours to find a new dress. You threw on a pair of leggings and a hoodie and slipped on a pair of vans leaving the house without saying anything to Tyler.
Pulling in to the mall parking lot, you knew where you wanted to start looking. A few weeks ago, you had walked past a dress store that had a black dress that caught your eye. You were hoping the dress would still be there.
After a few minutes of looking, you couldn't find the dress you had initially been looking for. You did however find the perfect dress. It was a floor length long sleeve black dress with a deep V neck, black crystals covered the top of the dress, the V neck ended just above your belly button, the skirt of the dress had a slit that stopped on your upper thigh. Wearing this dress, you knew one wrong move and you could show a little more than you would like. At the same time wearing this dress you felt you were making a statement.
"You look amazing in this dress," the cashier gushed, "it looks like it was made specifically for you."
"Thank you so much," you smile. After you had finished the purchase, you knew you were going to need new shoes. You weren't much of a heels girl, but this dress called for heels. You went and spent a pretty penny on a pair of classic black, closed toe 6-inch pumps with the red bottom.
Now that you had the dress and the perfect shoes to go with it, you start to focus on your hair and makeup. Looking at your phone it's 2:30 and the event starts at 6. That gives you enough time to go home and get ready or go home and get your shit and get ready somewhere else. Were you being petty? Yes, you were. The fact that Tyler would say something like that to you had really hurt you. You tell yourself you don't have time to focus on how he hurt your feelings, you could do that later.
As you pull in the driveway, you don't see Tyler's car. You really weren't sure where he went or when he was coming back, so you don't waste any time. First you take a self-care shower, you wash your hair, exfoliate, and shave. As you get out you let your hair air dry while you do your makeup. You wanted to keep your makeup simple, you go for a natural smokey eye, with glowing skin, and a nude matte lip. By the time you had finished curling your hair, you decided to leave it down. Looking at the clock and it's 5:30 you realize you need to get to get going.
You weren't really sure how to drive in the dress without wrinkling it, so you decided you'd change once you got to the venue. The drive was only a 20 minute drive, and you didn't think it was going to take you too long to get dressed so you'd be on time, you weren't. You were about 15 minutes late, getting the dress on and situated took longer than you had thought.
You weren't trying to make a grand entrance, but you did. As soon as you stepped in the room all eyes were on you, how could they not be? You looked stunning. Instead of looking for Tyler immediately, you go over to the bar and get a drink. You had a feeling you were going to need something strong to get through this night, you ordered a hot applesauce (Fireball and pineapple juice.)
"Y/N, you look absolutely stunning," Jamie pulls you in for a hug.
"Thanks, Chubbs. You clean up nice. Do you know where Tyler is?" You hadn't tried too hard to find him, but you knew you needed to find him. He points over to a card table, you thank him and walk over to where Tyler was seated.
He didn't seem to notice you walking over to him, so you tap on his shoulder. He doesn't acknowledge your presence, so you tap on his shoulder again, still nothing.
"Tyler!" You shout, he looks over at you and his eyes go wide.
"Wow, you look amazing," he looks like he's in shock.
"Thank you." You're slightly frowning, is this the first time you've looked as good as he told you? Was this the first time you looked like you belonged with that crowed? Tyler went back to playing poker, or whatever it was he was playing, and you went back to the bar. You were sure you were over reacting a little. You really hadn't been used to getting all dolled up, and the few times you did, you really thought you did a pretty good job.
After another drink or two you were standing behind Tyler, while he continued to play poker. The few drinks you had, words he had said before leaving running wild trough your head. You lean down your lips connecting with the spot where his ear meets his neck. Your hands running over his shoulders and down his arms.
"Baby I think it's time to go home," you whisper in his ear.
"After this game," he tells you. You pout a bit before you return to leaving a trail of kisses from his ear down his neck. He gently nudges you off him so he can focus.
"Come find me when you're done, I guess," you huff walking away from where he sat. You couldn't comprehend the way Tyler was acting towards you.
The way you felt, you'd swear you hand had sex for the longest time, not that you'd been thoroughly fucked all morning. You clench your thighs in hopes of lessening the heat that sits between your legs. It doesn't seem to help at all.
You glance over at Tyler, hoping that he'd be done. He's not. You decide to get a drink, it could make things better or it could make things worse. Tequila is most likely not a good idea, but you were craving a spicy watermelon margarita.
You had 1 maybe 2 drinks, and you know you can hold your liquor. So, you weren't really sure why you felt like you were on the verge of throwing a temper tantrum because you weren't getting sex. It's probably just a side effect of lady blue balls. You decide whatever the reason it didn't matter, you were almost pissed.
"Hey y/bfs/n, I need a ride home, I went to the team's casino night. Can you come get me?"  you ask.
"Uh yea give me a few." She took 5 maybe 10 minutes to pick you up. You stop to get In n Out before being dropped off at your house.
"Thank you," you kiss her on the cheek before walking in the front door. As soon as the door closes you kick your heels off, next your dress hits the floor. You have left a trail to the room you share with Tyler.
As you started the shower you took a few pictures you sent to him letting him know that you were at home. Tyler had called twice while you were in the shower. After getting out you pulled one of his shirts and a pair of panties you grab your phone and climb in bed. Tyler calls again.
"Hey babe how'd you get home and why'd you go home without me?" he asked.
"Between being hangry, horny, and being ignored I was no longer having a good time. I called y/bfs/n and asked her to pick me up, you tell him, "don't worry I'm not hangary anymore and I'm pretty sure I'm not horny either."
"Well okay, I'll be home in about 10-15 minutes. I love you," he said before hanging up.
You had every intention of waiting for Tyler or at least getting up and picking up the trail of clothes you left. Neither of those happened. As soon as your head hit the pillow you were dead asleep.

This job was supposed to be easy. That’s why Buddy had put him out in the field in the first place, right? He wasn’t as experienced as Jet in these things, but they’d said it’d be good practice for when the real work began. They just needed some cushion creds-- it was the perfect opportunity to acclimate him to the life of crime.
It was the exact sort of thing Juno would have normally refused to take part in. He wouldn't steal just to steal, certainly not from innocent people, but it just so happened their mark today was a double decker asshole. The Diamond Dame Casino, just off Saturn, was notorious for attracting the worst kind of people. Juno had never been fond of casinos anyway. He couldn't understand how someone could make a living off of other people’s addictions and still sleep soundly at night. The Diamond Dame was a whole different brand of nasty, though. It was a known location among criminals to make dirty deals without risk of being caught, and at the head of it all was a man by the name of Dallas Olson. He’d inherited the business from his father and had been inadvertently running the place into the ground ever since.
See, the issue with raising a kid around some of the worst spenders this side of Venus was that, more often than not, they don’t shape up to be the best with money. Olson’s bank account said he was in debt to just about every person he’d ever met, and a man like Olson met a lot of dangerous people. Normally, a guy like that would be a thief’s jackpot-- no pun intended. The only issue was that, 90% of the time Olson didn’t even know when he would be making out checks. Most days he tried to put it off until someone pulled a knife on him and he was forced to find some creds then and there. No robber worth his name (or lack thereof) would take a job with that kind of uncertainty.
At least, that was what Nureyev-- or Glass-- had told Juno when he asked why Olson had yet to be robbed blind.
They would have passed Olson by, too, if it wasn’t for the tip Buddy got. It was incredibly vague; all it told them was that Olson was making a repayment today. They didn’t know who he was repaying, how much he owed, or when it would happen. Juno had almost deemed it a lost cause when Vespa had spoke up: “They’re just giving us money at this point, Bud.”
Apparently, when you had a spaceship with four master criminals, a hacker that couldn’t be beat, and an ex-detective, nothing was impossible.
So, they set the stage. Vespa, Rita, and Jet would stay on the ship. Jet would be at the wheel, waiting for one of two orders: get us the fuck out of here or open fire. Rita would handle the tech-- get them into The Diamond Dame’s security system. Vespa would be in charge of monitoring the live footage, watching out for possible threats and keeping the operation in line. Buddy and Pe-- Rex were out in the casino, stationed by each of the exits. When they got word of who it was they’d be robbing, they’d be the ones doing the dirty work.
That was where Juno came in. His role was simple enough: figure out who it was that was walking out with their paycheck.
At least, it sounded simple enough. Then he actually got to the casino, with all its flashing lights and chiming slot machines. Juno could hardly think straight as it was, and there were so many people, more than he’d ever imagined. Being observant, picking one oddity out of a crowd, that was supposed to be his whole thing. He had to at least be decent at it if he was able to make a living off it for all those years, and yet… he had a bad feeling about this.
He couldn’t focus, and if he couldn’t focus there was no way he’d be able to pull this off. Still, he couldn’t tell the rest of them why he was so distracted because his big distraction was one of them. Whatever name he called him, Peter Nureyev, Rex Glass, or tonight’s specialty, Orion Krum, he couldn’t push that man from his mind. They hadn’t talked since their first encounter in the martian desert, not really. Every time Juno tried to catch him alone, to explain or apologize, or something, Nureyev always slipped away in the way only he could. It was obvious he didn’t want anything to do with Juno.
Juno didn’t blame him for it either. He left, and Nureyev moved on, even if Juno couldn’t say the same for himself. Just watch the crowd, Steel.
From his spot at one of the slot machines he examined a few groups. There was one gaggle of wealthy looking women who were far too drunk to be there on official business. Juno crossed them off a mental suspect list. He caught sight of one suspicious looking man dressed in a particularly showy black gown and for a moment he thought he might be onto something.
A moment later another man arrived in a similar sneaking fashion and Juno was right back to square one. The only thing those two were guilty of was an affair. His eyes continued to trace the crowds until he caught sight of that face again.
Stars, that face.
Peter didn’t look like himself tonight. His usual warm colors had been replaced with a deep blue, suit, speckled with silver like the night sky. He wore none of his signature makeup or jewelry, but his expression said he didn’t need it when he had a face like that. He looked like the kind of man that, if Juno had spotted him back on Mars, he would have avoided at all costs: arrogant, rich, and cold.
And, simultaneously, he looked like an undercover thief Juno really wanted to take back to his room after all of this was through.
He shook the thought from his mind almost as soon as it entered. He needed to move. Maybe a new vantage point would show him something he couldn’t see from here, or at least block out someone he very much could--
As he stood up from his machine he only narrowly avoided walking straight into someone. Juno stumbled backwards a few steps and was just about to apologize when he saw the man in front of him. He recognized that blonde hair and pointed nose from Vespa’s lectures. Dallas Olson.
He was young, Juno might have even said handsome if he didn’t dim in comparison to another nearby face. “Apologies, madame,” he said in a thick accent Juno couldn’t quite place, “I didn't mean to startle you.”
Juno inhaled deeply and tried to remember who he was. Tonight, his name was Renee Bruner, a lady with too much free time and enough creds on hand to find plenty of ways to entertain himself. The dress Buddy had provided him made him look the part, long and tight fit, made of a brilliant magenta silk, but he still had to sound like Renee, too.
“No harm done,” he said with a breezy, somewhat bored smile. “You know how it is after you’ve had a few.”
Olson nodded in agreement and extended a hand out to him. Internally, Juno’s stomach dropped. He’d hoped this encounter would be short and sweet. “It’s a pleasure to meet your acquaintance. My names Dallas Olson. I’m the owner of this establishment.”
Juno took his hand and shook it. “Renee. It’s quite the place you got here.”
“Aw, you’re too kind,” he replied with fake humility. “This may seem a bit odd, but I was wondering if you might do me a favor?”
Juno felt the hair on his arms prickle. “I suppose it depends on the request.”
Olson smiled gingerly. “But of course,” he answered with a slick kind of charm Juno only liked on one man. “My hope was that, if you agreed, you could introduce me to that gentleman behind you.”
Juno didn’t need to look to see who Olson was gesturing at. He looked anyway. Sure enough, Nureyev stood there, pretending to be properly entertained. The tenseness in his jaw said he knew he was being watched.
Juno didn’t know how Olson had managed to put together that they knew each other. They’d been so careful, coming in separate entrances and staying away from one another. Had they received bad intel? Was Olson on to them? Should they call a quits now--
“You… do know one another, yes?” asked Olson, and Juno was relieved to hear the doubt in his voice. So he didn’t know anything for sure. They could work with that. “I simply assumed with the way you have been looking at him that you were acquainted. I like to associate myself with all my new guests, and I had not seen your faces before…”
Dammit, he chided himself. He’d given himself away. If he’d been obvious enough that Olson had spotted him then he was sure Nureyev already knew too. Couldn’t he go two seconds without making a fool of himself?
Something about this situation definitely stunk. Olson wanted to talk to them for a reason, and Juno knew it wasn’t just good business practice. He was nervous, that much Juno could tell by the perspiration in their handshake, but he didn’t know why. At least, not yet.
It was time to change his approach. It’d be more suspicious to flat out deny knowing Peter now, and besides, trying to find their mark without a lead wasn’t going anywhere.
“No, no, you’re right. That’s my husband,” he said and braced himself.
“Steel,” he heard Vespa’s voice in his ear, “this is not the plan.”
Near by, Nureyev had heard the exact same conversation. He would just have to make it part of the plan.
Juno smiled and ignored her, keeping his attention on Olson. “I’ll bring you over now, just let me grab my bag.”
“Of course,” nodded Olson.
Juno moved to the side of the machine he’d been sitting at and grabbed a purple purse. Quiet enough Olson wouldn’t hear it, Juno muttered, “Just play along, alright?”
Gesturing at Olson to follow, Juno led him over to Nureyev as Vespa complained. If Peter was caught off guard he didn’t show it. Juno knew this was a role he could play. It was familiar for both of them, and a bit nostalgic. The only thing Juno had severely underestimated was how much it would hurt to pretend to be his again.
“Hello, love,” said Juno a bit awkwardly. He was learning he really hated undercover work. “I want to introduce you to the owner, Mr. Olson.”
Peter, unlike Juno, never let his disguise falter. It amazed Juno, but then again, maybe that was just what twenty years of practice looked like. His eyes were still ice cold, but he quickly adapted to the new information. He slid an arm around Juno’s waist and pulled him close, eyes still glued to Olson. It was protective but not loving. In other words, it was completely in character.
Juno hoped he didn’t notice how he shivered at his touch and seemed to flourish in the safety of Nureyev’s torso. It still felt so natural.
“Orion Krum. I hope my wife hasn’t caused too much trouble,” said Nureyev.
For a reason Juno couldn’t understand, Olson seemed to get more pale the longer he looked at them. “Not at all!” he said with unconvincing enthusiasm, “I had asked him to introduce us. I must say, though, he seems much happier now that he’s with you. His expression earlier was quite distressed.”
What was his game? If he didn’t know who they were, why was he so invested in them? Juno was trying to put the pieces together. They were missing something but he didn’t know what. Olson was scared, but of what? The answer tugged at the back of his mind and Juno tried to pull it free. He almost had it when Nureyev spoke and broke his concentration.
For the first time in the night, Peter, or rather Orion, was looking at him. There was something in his eyes, though, something that hadn’t been there earlier and made Juno’s heart do a somersault. There was something coy about that look that wasn’t like the character he was playing tonight. Peter Nureyev was peaking through. “Is that true? Were you feeling left out?” Then, noticing his error he added a cool: “then don’t wander off next time.”
That smugness… It felt like being teased by the Peter who loved him, all those months ago. Juno was caught off guard. “I, uh, Nur--”
Before he could say something that couldn’t be unsaid, Peter cut him off. Before Juno knew it Peter’s lips were on his and anything he was planning to say was forgotten. It was effective, that’s for sure. A one hit KO that was over almost as soon as it began.
Peter pulled away. It was barely a peck on the lips, just enough to fluster Juno while not being too uncalled for. Afterwards he turned his attention back to their new friend while Juno was left properly flustered. “Well then. We’ve met, my wife has been returned. Now we’ll be on our way, unless you had some further plan for my time.”
The prickly facade was back. Peter Nureyev had been shoved back inside, and while Juno had much preferred it to the emotionless creature he was imitating now, Olson looked… chipper. The color was back in his face and his smile was unsettling to say the least. It looked like they’d just fallen into whatever trap Olson had set, but Juno didn’t know how.
Something was about to go very wrong. He turned to Peter and tried to get a warning out before it was too late. “This isn’t right, we have to--”
Suddenly, Juno was ripped away and Peter’s comforting presence was gone. In its place was blaster and Olson’s iron grip.
Oh, thought Juno. This explains a lot.
One arm was up against his throat, keeping him from escaping. The barrel of the blaster was digging into his skull, and he wasn’t planning on risking his brains in a struggle. He was facing Nureyev, whose face Juno couldn’t read: shock, anger, fear? Or maybe nothing at all.
“Juno!” said Vespa’s stern voice in his head.
“Verona,” called Olson at someone Juno couldn’t quite see. “This kind man here will be providing you your payment.”
Nureyev raised an eyebrow in his direction. “And why would I do that?”
The answer was obvious enough, though, at least to Juno. Olson had finally dug himself into a hole he couldn’t climb back out of, but he wasn’t about to give in. He had plenty of unknowing customers with the kind of spending money he needed. Olson was smart enough to find an out and desperate enough to risk it all.
All he had to do was find an unsuspecting soul stupid enough to fall into his trap with something more than money to lose. Leverage. He’d almost done it, too, but their was one big problem. The most expensive thing he or Nureyev had on them was the clothes on their backs. No wonder Juno couldn’t figure out who had the check-- there wasn’t a check to begin with.
“Well, if you’d like to keep your wife’s brain in-tact, I would highly recommend giving Ms. Verona whatever she asks,” drawled Olson. Juno really hoped Peter was as concerned with his safety as Olson thought. Around them, heads turned. A few people looked nervous at the sight of the scene before them, but most just turned a blind eye. Olson let a lot of dirty business slip by unnoticed. It wasn’t difficult to return the favor.
“What makes you think I care about all that?” asked Nureyev with that signature nonchalance. He was playing some kind of angle. That didn’t make it sting any less.
Verona shot Olson a look that said he was supposed to have this under control. Panic flashed over his features but he was quick to compose himself. It seemed like the bullet in Juno’s head wouldn’t be the only shot fired if this deal fell through.
“Don’t play games. It's the money or his life,” growled Olson at Nureyev.
“Glass, Juno,” ordered Vespa, “get out of there!”
Juno thought that was easier said than done when there was a gun to your head. They were at a disadvantage-- even if they might have been able to take Olson and Verona in a fight, any sudden movements and he might end up with a hole in his head. They could try to stall until Buddy arrived, but Juno had no clue where she was or if she’d be able to do anything before Olson lost his patience. They had to act alone.
He looked to Nureyev, equal parts indignant and afraid. To Juno, it was still obvious he was in character. That’s right, he thought, we still have the element of surprise.
Juno didn’t know what his plan was, but he knew Nureyev had one. Nureyev always had a plan. So, without thinking it through, he played along.
“Orion,” he said, voice small, “I’m sorry I wandered off before I won’t do it again-- just, just get me out of here. Please. Just give them what they want.
Nureyev sighed. “Fine. What do you want.”
Verona spoke up now. “Ten thousands creds.”
“You’d have to be a fool to carry that kind of money on you!” Peter protested.
“Then give me the passcode to you fucking bank account, then,” Verona snapped back. She was getting irritated, though not entirely at Nureyev. It seemed she was under the impression Olson had a more reliable way of paying her back.
Peter caught his eyes. Did you see that, they seemed to ask, and of course Juno did. The private eye in him was already putting two and two together. She was the weak link. She was their escape route. “Hurry up, Krum,” said Olson through gritted teeth.
Peter chewed his lip. “I will, but there is a… slight complication.”
“What? What could possibly be the problem now?” demanded Verona.
“I’m a busy man-- I don’t have time to track all my expenses and banking, that’s what having a secretary is for.”
“And?”
Peter looked at her like it was obvious. “I don’t know my passcode.”
Juno nearly laughed. Their plan was to annoy Verona into snapping, and Peter was damn good at it. The mirth was, unfortunately, short lived.
Verona shook with rage. Juno thought it was entirely possible she might just combust then and there, and for a moment Juno was terrified they’d miscalculated. He couldn’t help but fear that, when she lashed out, she’d go straight for Nureyev’s throat.
The idea of it was enough to make him feel like he was going to be ill.
And then Verona spun on Olson. “Dammit, Olson, you said you had the money and you’re gonna get it for me. No more games.”
“I will, just wait, please, a few moments more,” sputtered Olson. “They have the creds we just have to--”
“We?” She cut in. “I don’t have to do anything, understand? You owe me. I said I was done playing. You either have what you owe me or you don’t. So what’s the answer?”
On cue, Juno heard the distinct click of a blaster’s safety being turned off, and he got the impression it wasn’t set to stun. A large man stood behind Olson in all black, eyes fixed on Verona. One word from her and his target would be dead.
This was their chance. In his fear, Olson’s grip loosened and his aim wavered. Juno took the moment to slip away, over to Nureyev. The two of them had been almost completely forgotten.
Nureyev’s hands were on his shoulders, sturdy and strong. Juno might have even thought protective if he didn’t know better. The taller man tried to lead him away from all of this so they could make their escape. They could disappear before anyone even noticed they were gone, but…
“Drop the gun, Olson,” instructed Verona. The blonde man whimpered, reserved to his fate, and tossed it at the floor where it clattered at their feet. At Juno’s feet.
No one was supposed to die here. Not even double decker assholes.
“Juno,” Nureyev said at his side, tugging at him now. “We need to go before people start shooting--”
Juno was moving before he could even think of the consequences. He dove for the blaster and shifted the dial to stun. Around him he heard voices, Verona yelling orders, Vespa shouting in his ear, Peter, the real Peter’s, fearful “Wait--.” He blocked it all out.
They were all close to him, he should have been able to hit them, but without the THEIA he was never one hundred percent sure. Three shots, just three shots.
Bang. The first beam went straight into the armed man’s chest. He crumpled to the floor.
Bang. The second shot was for Verona, and he only barely hit the mark. Just in time, too. By the way her hand had gone for her pocket she’d been looking to grab a blaster of her own. He made contact with her shoulder, and though she tried to stay conscious she followed her minion to ground.
Juno took a breath before firing for the third and last time. Olson gaped at him. “Wh--”
Bang. He didn't get to finish before Juno blasted him in the gut.
People were starting to panic now. Threats were one thing, but actually shooting to host was another. Before the chaos could close in, Nureyev grabbed his hand and they were running.
They busted through the casino doors, the cool night air hitting them like pool water on a summer day. “Your aim is getting quite good, detective.”
Juno glanced up at Peter and was met with a smile. A genuine one, at that. “Ah, well,” he answered, sheepishly. He hoped the darkness would hide his blush.
“Yea, he’s a fuckin’ natural,” growled Vespa over their earpiece. “It’d be awful nice if he was as skilled at following directions.
“Oh, don’t be honorary,” chided Nureyev. How was it that he could keep up this pace and not be at least a bit winded. “This job would have failed no matter what Juno did. No reason to place blame.”
“But Glass, I’d hardly call it a failure.” The voice speaking them now belonged to Buddy. Juno had almost forgotten she’d been in the casino all together.
“That so?” he asked between strained breaths. “Where did you go during all that? I nearly died!”
“Spare me the dramatics, Juno, you two had it completely under control. I figured if we weren’t going to get our creds from Olson I might as well tamper with the machines a bit. You wouldn’t believe what kind of money people put in those things.”
At his side, Nureyev’s grin widened at the thought of their loot. “Very clever, as always, Ms. Aurinko. I believe I see you now. You’ll have to show us what you picked up when we get there.”
Sure enough, they’d crested a hill and below, at the very bottom of the incline, was the ship. It was only then that Nureyev slowed his pace.
He met Juno’s eyes, lifted a hand to his ear, and shut off his communication device. Juno didn’t know why, exactly, but he repeated the motion anyway.
Nureyev seemed to blend into the night, his skin the only glowing contrast to the deep navy around them. He looked good, but then again, he always looked good.
There was a momentary silence between them, then: “You know, I’d like to believe you meant what you said back there.”
Juno searched his face for hints but found none. He had said a lot of things in the casino, most of them in the hopes of not getting killed. He didn’t have the slightest idea which one Peter was referencing now.
“Im… not sure I follow.”
The dark haired man nodded, as if he’d expected that. “You said you wouldn’t wander off again, Juno. I hope that’s the truth this time. I hate to admit it, but each time I lose you I find it a bit more difficult to move on.”
The smile was still present on Peter’s face, but it was distant and sad. His gaze was somewhere else entirely. The ice from the evening’s alias had melted away and Juno was left with someone he recognized. Someone he loved.
“Yea… Yea I think I know how you feel,” answered Juno, “but, if it means anything, I think it is. True, I mean. At least, I want it to be.”
They were close now, and there were still a million unsaid things between them. Peter only said one of them, though.
“I suppose I’ll just have to trust you, then.”
And really, Juno couldn’t have imagined anything better than that.

Could you expand on your thoughts about Jamie and Tyler’s current friendship? I was late to the Bennguin show and have only been following them for about a year. Although we don’t get as much content of them, I still get the impression they have a great love/respect for each other. Jamie seems to have a strong desire to keep his life private, probably because of fans digging/overstepping boundaries. If they still hang out outside of “work”, we may never know because Jamie doesn’t want us to see.
Sure. So based on things we do have knowledge of, just as one example, Tyler said in an interview with the guys over at The Ticket, we know that with the Jim Lites/Horseshit debacle they were already planning to meet up to ride together to go for acupuncture, they just met up earlier to discuss what had happened which yes, is work centric but we know they still do things outside of official functions. While they didn't do it this past year (Jamie and Katie wore a couple's costume this past year, Tyler didn't go) they did dress up for the annual Halloween party as Mario and Luigi which if they now supposedly disliked each other or were worried about appearances, I can't imagine them going out of their way to come up with matching costumes still if the relationship sucked. I'm also reminded of Tyler's fond expression when Jamie hit his career milestone and "congrats bud" (the gifs of it recently came across my dashboard again hence, why it came to mind) or him telling him to smile when he got a goal this season.
Is it as often as before Kate came into Tyler's life or Katie had come into Jamie's? Or even when they lived in the same building? No, not at all but I think people have to take into account as they've gotten older, priorities have changed for the both of them. I think sometimes people forget that we're coming up on Tyler arriving in Dallas 7 years ago. That's a lot of time when you're in your twenties for change. Jamie's going to be 31. I think the simpler answer is the correct one.
As for Jamie's natural reticence, he's always been like this. This isn't something new. I can recall a discussion from when he was a rookie about him doing the autograph line after practice and fans saying that he came off sullen and standoffish. But that's also people forgetting that was the practice after he had the fight with Iginla. Another time, I saw a season ticket holder was mad because he didn't engage them after a game because Jordie was in town and they were walking together. I think people expect him to be something he just never has been and has clearly been uncomfortable with and then they're ultimately disappointed. They need to understand the Stars knew this about him before they made him Captain and honestly, there are plenty of interactions with fans that are more than fine (ie: I think everyone has seen the interaction of the little girl climbing on to the bench beside him in the locker room to get her award or bless, the Casino Night where he was hilariously three sheets to the wind) just that he is not "on" all the time.
When it comes to reporters, same thing. Scott Burnside and his petty campaign to malign Jamie now since he wouldn't behave like a trained seal to Burnside's inane and infinitely "in love with the sound of his own voice" questions is gross. Mike Heika is starting to skirt the edges of it too I'd noticed before we all found ourselves living in a dystopia and Jamie had been giving him the same short answers. It's also why you get great answers from him with Razor or Mark (gawddammit, why can't I remember his last name all of a sudden? As soon as I hit post it'll come to me, I know it) because neither treats him like he's an idiot.
And I can't stress this enough, I think the worst thing about that dredge water blog shenanigans is that all that nonsense is going to make Jamie even *less* likely to engage with fans because of the utter shitshow people caused. Think Jamie is going to share anything after nutters sent messages to his potentially permanent ex girlfriend demanding answers to their private business? I hope the 15 minutes of infamy was worth it. Truly.
Anyhow, that was wordy! I hope that I answered your question? If there's something else just let me know!

Tyler Seguin- Friends Don’t
Tumblr media
Based on the song Friends Don’t by Maddie and Tae
They don’t cancel other plans, Have conversations with nothin’ but their eyes
You had just walked into the bar where the team event was being held. You had the absolute worse day ever; your boss quit and left you to clean up the mess. The last thing you wanted to do was come to this team event but Tyler had asked you weeks ago to come and you can never say no to him. Your eyes floated around the room trying to find him. Maybe if you told him what happened he would be okay with you leaving early. His eyes found yours and without even a word he knew something happened. He titled his head in a “let’s get out of here” way and you two left without even muttering a single word to each other.
Friends don’t call you in the middle of the night, couldn’t even tell you why. They just felt like sayin’ hi
Tyler had gone back to Toronto for the summer which meant another summer alone in Dallas. It was around 2am when you phone started ringing. At first when you saw his name on your phone you thought something had happened. But no, it was just Tyler calling for no reason. The first summer he went back to Toronto he didn’t call you much but the more time you spent together during the season the more he called you at random times during the summer when he was away. Secretly you hoped that he called so much because he missed you and hearing your voice.
Drive a little too slow; take the long way home, get a little too close
Tyler asked you to come to the game tonight and once again you couldn’t say no to him. You took an uber to the American Airlines center knowing full well that Tyler would take you home. The Stars won and you loved watching Tyler play. You met him by the locker rooms after the game and you both walked out to his car. Instead of turning right to head to your apartment he turned left out of the parking lot. You smiled to yourself. This always meant that Tyler wanted to spend more time with you. He had the music turned down low and grabbed your hand from the center console. You sighed in the passenger seat. You loved the quiet moments like this that you always shared with him.
They don’t almost say, I love you, when they’re downtown somewhere just a little drunk
Tyler and the team had taken you out for your birthday. You were very excited and also very drunk. You didn’t need to worry though because Tyler kept you close to him throughout the whole night. You two were on the dance floor when Tyler suddenly pulled you closer to him and whispered your name. Your breath caught in your throat and you stared into his eyes. You both stood there pressed up against each other just staring at each other til Jamie came up and dragged Tyler away for another round of shots.
They don’t talk about the future and put each other in it
The house was gorgeous; you couldn’t believe that something that amazing existed and that you were touring it. Tyler came through the kitchen and asked you what you thought of the house. You laughed and said, “Did you see that back yard? Yeah you definitely have to buy this house.” Tyler let out a chuckle and said, “Well what about the bedrooms? Did you like any of them?” You looked at him confused, why did it matter if you liked any of the rooms, it was his house not yours. He must have knew what you were thinking because he said, “well I was thinking, when your lease is up in April, you could just move in here with me and the boys. This house is too big for just us and I would like having you around more. If it helps, I’ll let you pick your room first.” You were stunned. You always imagined living with Tyler but it was always under different circumstances, romantic circumstances actually. But no, here his was asking you to move in with him and the dogs to be his roommate. Before you even let yourself think about it, you said yes.
I keep tellin’ myself this might be nothin’ but one look in your eyes and God there’s something. You can lie to me and say you don’t. But I know you do and I love you too
Here you were accompanying Tyler to yet another team event. You honestly didn’t mind though, the casino night was one of your favorite team events. You loved any chance to get all dolled up and put on a fancy dress. Tyler was keeping a closer stance to you than usual. You constantly felt his hand on your lower back. You told yourself that he was making sure you were comfortable and that you shouldn’t read too much into it. The ride home from the event was quiet, neither of you were saying anything. Tyler pulled the car into the garage and you both just sat there. You glanced over at Tyler at the same time he turned to look at you. Tyler decided it was now or never and poured out his heart to you. He finally looked at you to see your reaction because you hadn’t said anything. You had tears in your eyes but they were happy tears. You said, “I love you too.” And felt his lips latch onto yours. After that night, you knew things were never going to be the same, they were going to be better.

Stars meet Avengers- John Klingberg
Tumblr media
I just have to say, as a huge nerd, I LOVED this request. It’s like someone told me about my own fantasy I didn’t even know I had so thank you. I apologize it took so long for me to write, things have been kinda crazy and I had a bit of writers block so this felt good to write. I hope you enjoy!
‘could I have an a John Klingberg (Dallas Stars) imagine where your a major actress for Marvel and the team doesn’t know and the team gets randomly invited to a Marvel premiere and BOOM they find out your dating John!!’
Warnings: some kind of suggestive stuff but nothing explicit
Word count: 2.2k
enjoy!
It was getting close to the big day so you were sitting in your agent’s office discussing how many tickets you could secure for the premiere of your latest movie. Obviously you and your NHL star and Swedish hunk boyfriend John Klinberg were going to be making an appearance on the red carpet, but you really wanted to invite the rest of the Stars as well. You hadn’t really officially met them yet, just a couple of quick pass bys leaving John’s apartment early in the morning to get to work. You both had really busy scheduled and you figured what better way to introduce yourself. You had to fight a little for the extra tickets, but after some arguing and a promised seat at the Stars next casino night you were able to secure the tickets for the whole team. You stayed and chatted with your agent for a while but really you couldn’t wait to get out of there and all John to give him the good news.
As soon as you are able to leave and get back to your car you pull out your phone and dial his number.
“Hey Käraste!” he answers after a couple of rings, “I didn’t think I’d be hearing from you today.”
“I’ve got good news! I got all the tickets for the boys!”
“Fantastic!” he exclaims.
“I’d still like to keep it kind of a surprise,” you continue, “So could you send me their addresses I’m going to mail them the invites and tickets.”
“Good idea! I can’t wait for them to meet you (y/n). They’re going to love you.”
“How could they not? I’m getting them tickets to the Avengers premiere!” you laugh.
“Well even so.” he laughs along with you.
“I’ve got to get going though babe.” you say, “You’ll be here for more than just the premiere right?” you ask hopefully. “It’s going to be crazy and I’d love to be able to spend some time with you.”
“Yeah we have a couple of off days I’ll be flying out as soon as possible.” he answers happily.
“Wow I can’t wait.” you sigh into your phone.
“I know me too Käraste, I love you I’ll see you soon my superhero Älskling.”
“I love you too John, see you soon!” you say before hanging up the phone and going on with your day.
The weeks pass by really quickly, your days are packed with press junkets, interviews, and photoshoots. You call John when you can, and you find out when the guys get their invitations. John tells you all about how he pretends to be just as confused about it as they are and you laugh at the image of him doing any kind of acting. Suddenly it’s the night before John is supposed to be arriving and you find yourself having trouble sleeping. You hadn’t seen him in what felt like years, although realistically it had probably only been a couple months. Still, a couple of months was a long time and you’re tingling with anticipation. Not just from the excitement of seeing john again but nerves from your movie premiere and finally getting to formally meet the team. You knew it was ridiculous but you were nervous they might not like you. All of these thoughts made it hard for you to sleep so after about six hours of restless sleep your alarm started going off, indicating it was time to get ready to pick your boyfriend up from the airport. You wanted to look nice since you hadn’t actually seen him in such a long time, but also it was 6am and you really could not be bothered. So you threw on some leggings and your favorite Dallas Stars sweatshirt (that you stole from John), made yourself some coffee and started for the airport.
Driving to LAX is probably what driving to hell is like, even early in the morning, but it’s worth it to be able to finally spend some time with your boyfriend. You make pretty good time despite the traffic, and get there just in time for John’s flight to be coming in. You want to meet him inside but it’s quicker to wait in the car. Before no time your boyfriend is by your side. You give him a kiss and ask about his flight while you pull out of the airport.
“You look beautiful.” he says smiling at you and reaching over to put his hand on your leg.
“You’re insane I just woke up, but thank you.” you say patting his hand before putting it back on the steering wheel. “Just wait until you see the dress I have for the premiere.”
John squeezes your thigh, “Oh I can’t wait.” he leans over and kisses your cheek and you return it with a smile.
“So tell me how the guys have been doing, do you think they suspect anything?” you ask, attempting to keep up a conversation and keep yourself awake.
“I don’t think so, Jamie found out I was leaving before them and I think he’s a little suspicious but he didn’t say anything.”
You nod along while he talks about the team and how excited he is for you to finally meet everyone. You feel a little pang of the nervousness from last night but it goes away pretty quickly at the sound of John’s voice and the loving look in his eyes.
“Did you want to stop and get some breakfast? There’s a nice diner by my apartment.” you suggest when you start to get closer to home.
“I didn’t each much on the plane I could really use some food.” he answers.
You nod and make the appropriate turns to get to the restaurant. It’s closer to nine by the time you get there so the place is pretty busy. But the waitress knows you and seats you both right away. You order coffees for both of you and ask for some time to look over the menu. You know exactly what you want but you give John some time to figure it out.
The two of you have a nice quiet breakfast and you take the time to just enjoy the peace and being with the man you love so much. After you both finish eating you pay the bill and head back to your apartment. It’s a little messier than you’d usually have it but John doesn’t seem to really care or even notice. As soon as you’re through the door he pulls you into his arms and kisses you deeply. If you weren't already feeling awake from the coffee and breakfast you certainly were now.
“It’s been way too long” John mutters, moving his hands under your sweatshirt and up your sides. You get goosebumps from his touch and you want so much more. You put your arms around his neck and run your fingers through the blond hairs on the back of his neck.
“It has I’ve missed you so much.” you say before kissing him again.
You grind your hips into him, making sure there’s absolutely no space left between you and elicing a moan from John. You start to move back, pulling him with you toward the couch, then pulling him down on top of you.
The morning and afternoon are spent making up for lost time, and it’s a good thing you don’t have a roommate because you don’t actually make it to your bedroom until around noon. Around two you’re both laying in bed watching tv and cuddling, when a preview for your new movie comes on.
“Wow Käraste it looks really good I can’t wait to see it.” John says stroking your hair.
“Well thank you! I can’t wait for you to see it either we all worked really hard I think it’s going to be one of the best movies yet.”
“The guys are going to be so surprised. Honestly I don’t think they’d believe I’m dating such a badass even if I had told them.” he says chuckling.
“Well they better believe it or I actually will kick their asses!” you say half joking.
After spending all day in bed with John you are excited to finally get all dressed up and finally meet everyone. You tell him it would probably be best for him to meet up with his teammates, you have a hair and makeup appointment anyway so it makes the most sense to meet them there.
You were usually pretty nervous before a big event like this and tonight was no exception. Your heart is racing as your limo pulled up. You take a few deep breaths before stepping out onto the flashing lights of the red carpet. You go through the usual routine of answering questions and getting your picture taken before scanning the crowd for your boyfriend and his teammates. You spot his blond head of hair a few feet away, but you are stopped by a reporter before you could make it over to him. He notices you though and his eyes go wide. He’s seen plenty of pictures of you dressed up for these kind of events, but nothing compares to seeing the real thing in person. You politely answer the reporters questions, but it’s difficult to focus with John so close by. You’re relieved once you’re  finally able to politely excuse yourself and walk over to your man. He’s standing off in a less busy area talking to his teammates. They all look excited but pretty confused, like they’re happy to be there but still don’t get why they are. The confused looks on their faces only get worse when you walk up to John and give him a kiss. He puts an arm around your waist and you forget for a moment that you’re on a red carpet and not just kissing your boyfriend. You pull away, blushing a little, and tell John how happy you are he made it.
“You’re right about the dress you look...wow” John whispers into your ear. You smile and thank him.
“Um are you going to introduce us?” the man you know to be Tyler Seguin asks.
“Oh yeah sorry,” John starts, “Everybody this is my girlfriend (y/n), (y/n) this is everyone.”
You hold out your hand to introduce yourself to everyone individually.
“I KNEW there was something going on” Jamie Benn says grinning.
“Yeah a whole hockey team randomly getting invited to a movie premiere is a little suspicious.” you say laughing.
“I can’t believe our boy Klingberg landed an Avenger!” Tyler says patting John on the back.
John rolls his eyes but you can tell he’s happy at the guys reactions.
“Yeah so if I hear anyone giving him any trouble, don’t forget I have a hulk.” you say trying to sound serious but you can’t help but smile.
The nerves have disappeared at the sound of the guys laughter. You can’t wait for them to see the movie and you definitely glad they’re all there. You stay and talk with them for a little while until you notice reports hailing to get your attention.
“Why don’t you guys head in and get seated, your boy Klingberg and I have some getting our picture taken to do.” you say, grabbing John’s arm.
“Don’t mess it up” Antoine Roussel chirps in his charming French accent before the boys all walk away. They walk slowly to the theater, taking everything in. You can see how excited they are, just a bunch of fanboys going to see a superhero movie.
You pull your boyfriend over to the crowd of paparazzi, stopping to pose for pictures. You get stopped for more questions, now most of them revolving around the Swedish hockey player on your arm. John doesn’t say much, but when he does it’s charming and clever and reminds you why you love him so much. You take a couple of pictures with your fellow cast members, introducing John to them along the way. A couple of the stars you had become close with already knew about him, but even the ones that didn’t were happy to meet him. Looking at him, you couldn’t tell he was starstruck, but you knew your boyfriend, and you knew this was going to be something he’d be talking about for a long time.
After the movie you’re met with nothing but praise and admiration from your boyfriend and his teammates. As you and your group leave the theater your bombarded with questions.
“Could you teach me how to fight like that?” Antoine asks.
“Could you introduce me to Black Widow?” Tyler asks.
“So are you uh friends with Chris Evans?” Jamis asks.
“How about we all head to the after party and I’ll answer all your questions there.” you chuckle.
“Oh hell yeah what are we doing wasting our time here let’s go!” Tyler says rushing to the front of the group.
John puts his arm around your waist and laughs, “Are sure ‘The Dallas Stars Crash a Red Carpet After’ Party is a headline you’re ready for?” John asks smiling.
You just nod, and lead the boys to the party, your boyfriend right by your side.

Proof of a right wing conspiracy. Gennifer Flowers.
This is going to be the first of a series of text posts that will offer information on several Clinton scandals. All of the quotes and information cited are coming from the sole source of the book: The Hunting of the President. The Ten-Year Campaign to Destroy Bill and Hillary Clinton by Joe Conason & Gene Lyons. I’m doing these text posts because this book offers a lot of insight on the scandals that I did not know at first and a lot of facts that are not put out there for people to know. This may be lengthy but it’s worth the read. That being said this first post is going to be on the Gennifer Flowers scandal.
Larry Nichols In order to Understand the Gennifer Flowers scandal it is important to introduce  the man who was at the heart of this scandal and helped construct it. That man is Larry Nichols. Nichols had a grudge against Bill Clinton. This is due to the fact that in 1988, Nichols (who was from Conway Arkansas) had landed a new job as a marketing consultant for the Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA), the state’s centralized public bonding agency. Now this is important, the ADFA was created by Clinton Legislation over the strong opposition of Stephens Inc (this will come into play for another scandal.) Nichols’s brief career at ADFA was ill-fated from the start. Several things happened: 1. When Betsey Wright, heard that Nichols had been hired by the agency’s director, and that he had invoked her name to get the job, she was furious. She had instructed personnel directors at other agencies who had asked about Nichols over the years that he was a dangerous con artist and political opportunist. 2. Nichols was preoccupied with issues more global than the marketing of Arkansas bonds. He started telling other ADFA employees that he was a CIA operative working on behalf of Nicaraguan contras. The CIA part was false but the claim wasn’t altogether false because he had gotten involved with the Collation of Peace Through Strength, an organization headed by the retired general John Singlaub-one of marine lieutenant’s colonel Oliver North’s secret money conduits in the Iran-Contra affair. What ended up happening was that “for five months, Nichols devoted himself to the contra cause while drawing a state salary, until the Associated Press discovered he had taken his politics to work. In September 1988 the AP reported that since coming to ADFA, Nichols had placed 642 long-distance telephone calls, at state expense, to Contra leaders and politicians who supported them. “ 3. Due to all this, Bill had to fire Nichols.  “Although Clinton was traveling abroad on a trade mission when the phone-call story broke, Betsey Wright made sure he learned about it immediately: “I woke him up in Asia in the middle of the night and told him to fire Nichols.” The next day state officials forced Nichols to resign. This part is important: he left protesting his innocence and complaining about the “knee-jerk liberal reaction from Governor Clinton.”
Gennifer Flowers So what does Nichols have to do with the Flowers scandal? It seems as though everything. He had the motive and revenge seeking after being fired and humiliated. Fast facts: 1. Larry Nichols called a press conference at the Arkansas state capitol on October 1990. He handed out copies go a $3million libel lawsuit against Bill Clinton. He complained that he had been wrongly fired from his state job as a “scapegoat” in order to conceal the “the largest scandal ever perpetrated on the taxpayers of Arkansas.” Nichols accused Governor Clinton of having misused ADFA funds for “improper purposes.” Nichols also presented a list of 5 alleged Clinton mistresses upon whom those funds had supposedly been spent. 2. Among the women listed was Gennifer Flowers. This is important as well: Flowers turned out to be the only one of the five women who Nichols knew personally. The two had recorded advertising jingles together and still used the same booking agent. And there was one more interesting coincidence: In early October, about two weeks before Nichols’s press conference, Gennifer Flowers had called the governor’s office seeking help in finding a state job.
Now a bit more of a profile on Gennifer Flowers herself: Musicians and club owners who had worked with Flowrs described her as manipulative and dishonest. Her resume falsely proclaimed her to be graduate of a fashionable Dallas Prep school she’d never attended. It also listed a University of Arkansas nursing degree she’d never earned and membership in a sorority that had never heard of her. Her agent told the Democrat-Gazette that contrary to her claims, Flowers had never opened for comedian Rich Little. A brief gig on the Hee Haw television program had come to a bad end, the agent would later confirm, when Flowers simply vanished for a couple of weeks with a man she’s met in a Las Vegas casino-and then concocted a tale of having been kidnapped. She had never been Miss Teenage America. Even her “twin sister Genevieve” turned out to be purely a figment of Flower’s imagination.
Given all this so far it is easy to conclude that the Gennifer Flowers scandal was one incited by revenge for Nichols and fame for Flowers. But what about the tapes you may ask? There are holes in that “evidence” as well.
The Tapes: It is important to note that each of the four taped conversations between Bill Clinton and Flowers revolved around the same topics: Larry Nichol’s accusation’s and Flower’s supposed fear and loathing of the tabloid press.
Now here are some quotes between Bill and Flowers that poke more holes in her claims of having a twelve year affair:
“Gennifer,” he said, “It’s Bill Clinton.” His voice was muffled and for a longtime lover, oddly formal. Flowers remarked that he didn’t sound like himself. Did he have a cold? “Oh it’s just my….every year about this time I.. My sinuses go bananas.” Bill’s allergies affect him every spring and fall. His voice gets hoarse and his nose swells and reddens. Anyone intimate with him for more than a decade, as Flowers insisted she had been, might be expected to know that.
Once again she launched into a tale of woe. Parties unknown, she said, had broken into her apartment and rifled the place. “There wasn’t any sign of a break-in,” she explained,” but the drawers and things. There wasn’t anything missing that I can tell, but somebody had…” “Somebody had gone through your stuff?’ Bill asked. “But they didn’t steal anything. “ “No..I had jewelry here, and everything was still here.” This is possibly why Flowers never reported the any break-in to the Little Rock Police Department. Years later, she would pin the rap for this alleged burglary on Bill Clinton himself. It is also important to note that at no point on any of Flower’s tapes did Bill Clinton say anything that indicated a long-term sexual relationship with her. During one of their earlier talks, Clinton had told her about his joking response to Bill Simmons, a Little Rock AP reporter who had read him the bimbo list over the phone.” I said, ‘God Bill, I kinda hate to deny it. They’re all beautiful women.’  I told you a couple of years ago when I came to see you that I’d retired. Now I’m glad I have, because they (his Republican enemies) have scoured the waterfront. And they couldn’t find anything.” This quote you just read is the full quote. Often times on Youtube channels, they will cut the audio at the end of the ‘they’re all beautiful women part.’
Most probable relationship of Bill and Flowers affair: 1. The account that probably came closest to the truth was a column by the Democrat-Gazette’s John Brummet, a respected political analyst and frequent Clinton critic. His sources said Flowers had mentioned to friends fifteen years earlier that she was “having a fling with Clinton,” but “they say they heard nothing from her after 1979 about a relationship with Clinton and were surprised and skeptical upon reading her assertion in Star magazine of a twelve year affair that only ended in 1989.    “They are also dubious about her assertion that she was in love with Clinton all those years, dreaming of marriage. They say that she had other relationships in Dallas and Little Rock during that time.. They speculate that she doesn’t like men generally and probably enjoys using them. Their instinctive reaction to the Star article is that her vivid, detailed account probably contains truth, exaggeration and fabrication, not necessarily in equal parts.”
2. Her ex-room mate Lauren Kirk told CNN corespondent Art Harris, that she believed Flowers had lied for revenge and money. “She just can’t accept the fact that he (Clinton) came, wiped himself off, zipped up and left.”
Concluding: If Bill and Flowers did have an affair it was the typical affair of a few sexual encounters but not a twelve year or loving relationship.
Aftermath: On the morning of the Clinton’s 60 minutes appearance, a very curious item appeared on the front page of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Larry Nichols announced that he was dropping the liberal suit trumpeted in the Star only a week earlier. “The feud is over,” he said. “I want to tell everybody what I did to try to destroy Governor Clinton.” In a one-page statement distributed to the Little Rock press, Nichols claimed that his only motive had been to avenge his wrongful firing four years earlier. “The media has made a circus out of this thing and now it’s gone way too far,” he wrote. “When the Star article first came out, several women called asking if I was willing to pay them to say they had an affair with Bill Clinton.”
Honorable mentions: 1.Gennifer Flowers once boasted about the many married men she’d seduce for fun and profit: “I usually throw them back. I don’t want to keep then. Let the wives have them back.” 2. The agreement between Flowers and the Star stipulated that no one would ever be allowed to examine her original tapes. 3. Flowers never produced a single photograph, valentine, or birthday card as evidence of her twelve-year affair with Clinton; no witness ever came forward who had seen them together. 4. Flowers had claimed that between 1978 and 1980, she and Bill had enjoyed many trysts in Little Rock’s Excelsior Hotel. The Excelsior Hotel wasn’t built until 1983.
If you read this all the way through thank you and I hoped it shed more light on the Flowers scandal as it did for me. This and my future posts for this text post series will be found under the hashtag:proofofarightwingconspiracy.

Need to Know Betting Info for Saints-Cowboys
It will be a battle for NFC SUPREMACY when the first-place Cowboys (I hate everything) and Saints kick off tonight in Dallas. Eh, supremacy is probably an oversell on the Cowboys, but this game carries significant playoff implications for both teams as New Orleans tries to strengthen its grip on the conference’s top seed, while Dallas looks to further distance itself from Philadelphia and Washington in a weak NFC East. They can do so by knocking off what appears to be the NFL’s most dangerous team.
Eagles fans will be locked in on this one, rooting hard for a Dallas loss that would open the door for a three-way tie atop the division should the Eagles beat the Redskins at home on Monday night. While that subplot alone creates plenty of intrigue, this much-hyped prime time game featuring two public betting darlings figures to draw a ton of action, so let’s take a look at some need-to-know information ahead of it.

The matchup
Here’s a quick trivia question: Can you name the NFL teams that have covered 10 consecutive games against the spread dating back to 2003? You can’t—because there are none. Only two teams since that season have covered nine in a row, and both teams failed to cover its next game. The Saints, a squad that has bulldozed opponents and the bank accounts of those bold enough to bet against them since Week 3, will attempt tonight to breakthrough and extend their ATS streak to double-digits.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys find themselves in unfamiliar territory as a 7-point home underdog. The last time Dallas was a touchdown or more underdog at home came back in Week 8 of the 2015 season when they hosted the Patriots. That one didn’t go so well for the home team, as the Cowboys were steamrolled in a 30-6 loss. In fact, this spot has historically been unkind to Dallas. The last four times the Cowboys were an underdog of seven or more at home they lost the game outright.
If Dallas is to reverse that trend, its defense, which is allowing a stingy 19.4 points per game, will need to slow down a Saints offense that has eclipsed 40 points on six different occasions and 30 points nine times through 11 games, so they’ll have a tall order in front of them tonight. Despite its stellar overall play, the Cowboys defense has allowed opposing offenses to complete 44% of third down conversions (29th in the league), while opposing quarterbacks have completed 69.1% of their pass attempts (28th). That’s a recipe for disaster against a Saints offense that is converting 47% of their third down opportunities (6th) and completing a league-best 76% of their pass attempts. Just how good has this team been? Relatively speaking, the Falcons did a respectable job keeping the Saints in check on Thanksgiving night…and still surrendered 31 points and, frankly, were never really in the game.
It’s hard to imagine a scenario in which the Cowboys hold the Saints under 30 points, so they will need a big night on offense. Ezekiel Elliott has been hot recently, rushing for a combined 394 yards over the past three weeks, but he faces a difficult test against a Saints defense allowing a league-best 73.2 yards per game on the ground. The Falcons didn’t even try to run the ball a week ago, totaling only 26 yards on 16 attempts. If Dallas is to hang around, Dak Prescott must make explosive plays in the passing game. The New Orleans defense is among the game’s worst in DVOA against both opponents’ No. 1 and No. 2 wide receivers, and it ranks 29th in DVOA against passes that travel 16 or more yards downfield. The addition of Amari Cooper gives Prescott a fighting chance to exploit this weakness, but he’s struggled thus far in 2018 on passes traveling at least 20 yards, completing only 36.4% of his attempts (26th in the NFL).

— John Owning (@JohnOwning) November 27, 2018
It is, however, worth noting that while those vulnerabilities exist in the secondary, the Saints have gotten much better play from their defense overall, particularly over the past three weeks in which it has surrendered only 38 total points.
The money
The Saints are commanding 68% of point-spread bets, but only 59% of the money, so there’s some big dollars on the Cowboys. Meanwhile, 78% of the action is on the over, but only 69% of the money. Despite the money backing the over, the game total has dropped from 53 down to 51.5 at many major books, including DraftKings and FanDuel. Fishy, fishy.
The trends
Everybody wants to bet on the Saints pinball offense. Explosive! Like a video game! While true, the over has hit in only 5 of 11 Saints games, while each of their last seven Thursday night games have stayed under the total.
The Saints are 5-0 against the spread away from home, winning by an average margin of 14 points per game. Even if you exclude their 51-14 massacre of the Bengals back in Week 10, they’re still winning by an average of eight points per game. The Saints are hot, too, totaling a +92 point-differential over the past three weeks. Here’s another trend backing New Orleans: the favorite has won each of the past eight Thursday night games between teams from the same conference.
As for the Cowboys, they have gone a respectable 10-8-1 ATS as a home underdog under Jason Garrett, but they have been a categorical disaster against elite teams during his tenure. Against opponents with a winning percentage between 80-100%, the Cowboys are 6-9-1 ATS, but they have been brutal at home, going 1-7 ATS against elite opponents.
Value
So where’s the value at tonight? In New Jersey, of course. [insert drum sound] As of 3:30 pm, those looking to take the underdog should head to SugarHouse Sportsbook where you can get Dallas at +7 (+100). Those backing the Saints can grab them at FanDuel -7 (-110). Totals bettors on the over should go SugarHouse, where they can get 51.5 (-107), while those on the under can get 52 with BetStars NJ.

Over at BetStars, users can take advantage of a Saints Stars Stack and Odds Boost:
  Prediction
I absolutely see the value in taking the improved Cowboys at home against a team that has to have a letdown at some point. After all, there’s a reason no team has covered 10 straight games in well over 15 years, but betting against New Orleans feels insane right now. Sean Payton, a former Cowboys assistant, is a master motivator, and the Saints can potentially clinch a division title this weekend and are still playing for the NFC’s top spot. Payton has done a great job of getting a team that could have been fat and happy to get up week after week, and something tells me this didn’t go unmentioned during team meetings this week:

Truthfully, I’m not crazy about either side, nor do I feel strongly about the total. When you do the math, 52 points seems like a reachable total, but the trends, along with the fact that the total has dropped despite action on the over, suggest the under is the sharp play. Dallas also feels like the sharp play, too, but I don’t trust Jason Garrett or Dak Prescott, and I refuse to bet against the Saints right now. For these reasons, and although I’m typically hesitant about teasers, it feels like a good spot to grab 6 points and take the Saints to -1 and the total down to 45.5. And so that’s what I’m going to do.
Saints 34, Cowboys 27

Peacock: NBC Streaming Service Release Date, Shows, Price, and News
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The streaming service field is becoming more fractured, as more and more media companies break from Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu in favor of creating their own streaming services.
While Disney’s Disney+, HBO MAX, and Apple’s TV+ may be the most talked-about right now, NBCUniversal—the Comcast Corp. division that owns NBC, MSNBC, USA, and the Universal Pictures movie studio—is also planning to launch its own streaming service. Here’s what we know:
Peacock Release Date
Peacock was made available to Comcast’s Xfinity X1 platform subscribers on April 15, 2020. The service will officially roll out to the rest of the country on July 15, 2020. NBCUniversal has plans for an international release of the service but no timeframe has been announced yet.
Peacock Price
What is Peacock going to cost? Well…that’s complicated. NBC is deviating from WarnerMedia, Disney, and Apple by incorporating pricing tiers into its service at launch. Peacock has three potential pricing options: free, $4.99, and $9.99. Here is what you’ll get at each price point:
Peacock Free includes next-day access to current seasons of freshman broadcast series, a handful of unspecificed film and TV options. It will also feature advertisements.
Peacock Premium (with ads) is the $4.99 option and will include everything that the streaming service has to offer…but also dumb old commercials.
Peacock Premium (without ads) is $4.99 for Comcast subscribers and $9.99 for everyone else. It will include the full spectrum of Peacock content with no ads.
Notably, both versions of Peacock Premium will include live NBC sporting events. That is something that none of the major OTT streaming services other than CBS All Access offer.
Peacock Shows
NBCUniversal has revealed the first batch of original programming coming to the service:
The Adventure Zone
“Based on the McElroy Family’s wildly popular Dungeons & Dragons podcast and No. 1 New York Times best-selling graphic novel series, The Adventure Zone is a side-splitting and heart-filled fantasy animated comedy series that follows an unlikely, poorly equipped trio and their beleaguered Dungeon Master as they reluctantly embark on a quest to save their world.” – Per THR.
A.P. Bio (Season 3)
“When disgraced Harvard philosophy professor Jack Griffin loses out on his dream job, he is forced to return to Toledo, Ohio, and work as a high school Advanced Placement biology teacher. As he comes crashing in to Whitlock High School, Jack makes it absolutely clear he will not be teaching any biology. Realizing he has a room full of honor roll students at his disposal, Jack decides instead to use the kids for his own benefit. Eager to prove that he is still king of the castle, Principal Durbin struggles to control the force of nature that is Jack Griffin.” Read more about A.P. Bio season 3 here.
Angelyne (limited series)
“Limited series based on The Hollywood Reporter feature that explored the identity of L.A.’s mysterious billboard bombshell.”
Battlestar Galactica
“Battlestar Galactica returns to television with Sam Esmail producing.” Read more about this reboot here.
Brave New World
“Based on Aldous Huxley’s groundbreaking 1932 novel, Brave New World imagines a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family, and history itself.” Read more about Brave New World here.
Clean Slate
“Old-school car wash owner, Henry (George Wallace), is thrilled that his estranged child is returning to Alabama after 17 years. However, Henry has a lot of soul searching to do when the child he thought was a son returns as the determined, proud, trans woman, Desiree (Laverne Cox).” – Per THR.
Division One
“Division One is a coming-of-age comedy about an underdog women’s collegiate soccer team that gets a new female coach — a former professional soccer player who’s fallen from grace — and must decide whether or not they’re going to take the risk of trying to be great.” The show will be produced by Amy Poehler and soccer star Abby Wambach. – Per THR.
Dr. Death
“Based on Wonderly’s hit podcast, Dr. Death tells the terrifying true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Jamie Dornan), a rising star in the Dallas medical community. Young, charismatic and ostensibly brilliant, Dr. Duntsch was building a flourishing neurosurgery practice when everything suddenly changed. Patients entered his operating room for complex but routine spinal surgeries and left permanently maimed or dead. As victims piled up, two fellow physicians, neurosurgeon Robert Henderson (Alec Baldwin) and vascular surgeon Randall Kirby (Christian Slater), set out to stop him. Dr. Death explores the twisted mind of a sociopath and the gross negligence of the system designed to protect the most defenseless among us.”
Expecting
“Ellie, a fiercely independent but perpetually single music manager, has always wanted a family but never found a man worthy of the role of ‘father.’ That is, until her 39th birthday, when she decides to ask her gay best friend and co-worker, Jonathan, if he’ll be her sperm donor. When Jonathan surprises himself by saying ‘yes,’ it sets off a chain of events that turn Ellie and Jonathan’s personal and professional lives upside down as they try to turn their ‘chosen family’ into a biological family. Mindy Kaling will executive produce.” – Per THR.
Hatching Twitter
“Through exclusive access and exhaustive investigative reporting, New York Times best-selling author Nick Bilton draws on hundreds of sources, documents and internal e-mails to tell intimate true stories of companies behaving badly and technology gone awry. The first installment of this anthology series will be based on Bilton’s acclaimed book Hatching Twitter, a tale of betrayed friendships and high-stakes power struggles that accompanied the meteoric rise of the infamous tech company. 140 characters and a few lines of code changed the world, disrupting the very fabric of the way people communicate. This series will explore the real masterminds behind it all, how it was done, and the colossal ramifications the technology will have on our future.” – Per THR.
MacGruber
After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber is finally released. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past — Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth. With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber (Will Forte), Vicki and Piper must race against time to defeat the forces of evil. Only to find that evil … may be lurking within. – Read more about MacGruber here.
One of Us Is Lying (pilot)
“Based on Karen M. McManus’s best-selling novel, One of Us Is Lying is the story of what happens when five strangers walk into detention and only four walk out alive. Everyone is a suspect, and everyone has something to hide.”
Psych 2: Lassie Come Home
“Santa Barbara Police Chief Carlton Lassiter is ambushed on the job and left for dead. In a vintage Psych-style Hitchcockian nod, he begins to see impossible happenings around his recovery clinic. Shawn and Gus return to Lassie’s side in Santa Barbara and are forced to navigate the personal, the professional, and possibly the supernatural. Separated from their new lives in San Francisco, our heroes find themselves unwelcome in their old stomping grounds as they secretly untangle a twisted case without the benefit of the police, their loved ones, or the quality sourdough bakeries of the Bay Area. What they uncover will change the course of their relationships forever.” – Read more about Psych 2: Lassie Come Home here.
Punky Brewster (pilot)
“In this multicamera/hybrid continuation of the iconic ’80s sitcom about a bright young girl raised by a foster dad, Punky is now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track when she meets a young girl who reminds her a lot of her younger self.”
Rutherford Falls
“Ed Helms portrays Nathan Rutherford, the eponymous denizen of a small New England town, who is having difficulty facing the inevitable changes to his way of life.”
Saved by the Bell (reboot)
“When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality.” – Read more about the Saved by the Bell reboot here.
Straight Talk
“Straight Talk examines what happens when two opposing ideologies are forced into an odd coupling. The main characters will be challenged by one another, making the moral lines at which they once stood harder to define.”

OUR VEGAS MARRIAGE..part 7
We continued hobbling , in my case, as i had done some damage to my Achilles tendon while running after a dog before leaving ,and it was gradually getting worse, along the sidewalk , feeling like extras in Laurence of Arabia, and wondering whether the Venetian Canals , Eiffel Towers , Draculas, or was it Disney, Castles were in fact mirages when we came to a Bus Stop.It was the Double Decker Deuce, heading Downtown, all day pass 2 Dollars fifty, the only drawback being that instead of a Bus it was more of a Mobile fridge, having the A/C set at about 60 degrees below the outside temperature , or that s what it felt like. fortunately Aurora had packed  North Face Down jackets in the daypack I was carrying , so dressed for the Ski slopes we headed for the Fremont experience , whatever that was.
Fremont Street , named after the Fremont River in neighbouring Utah, home to Fremont culture , a prehistoric people who lived in the area from 600 to 1300 AD, is where the original casinos and other dens of vice had been set up in the 1930s, some with money from Mormon Banks. The Strip had come later ,and the money for the Strip came from various sources , some legit , others less so, to this day many parts of the Strip are not within the Las Vegas city limits, but are in neighbouring Paradise and Winchester , and thus the taxes do not benefit the City, although these two unincorporated communities, like Vegas , are in Clark County .The downtown area had begun to deteriorate and thus it was in the citys interest to revive it.Its  revitalisation began  in 1995, with the establishment of the aforementioned Fremont Street Experience, which consists of a pedestrian precinct roofed with a continuously changing projection of such motifs as the Stars and Stripes, while an ever changing array of mainly rock performers change places on a various stages..and various buskers who no one ever seemed to give money to , play in painted circles on the concrete.A sort of downmarket , Covent Garden on steroids with lots of noise and a never ending stream of people on zip wires gliding above. All in all quite fun , at first.
The main attraction of Downtown is that it s on a human scale , and there are restaurants and shops that are not attached to the hotels , including a Superb Thai restaurant we headed to across 4th street , which divides Fremont Street proper , from the Experience .It was also conveniently near a Pawnshop which I fantasised would be overflowing with Musical Instruments , High school rings and the like , left behind by penniless gamblers.. No such luck, in the end I bought an I Pad ,second hand ,at a higher price than I d been quoted for the same model , new , in Dallas     Aurora is not a big fan of Starch in food , so Asian cuisine, without Rice is the order of the day , that s fine with me , as I could see that answering the question "Do you want fries with that?" ..in the affirmative a few times a day could lead to having to buy a new wardrobe.    We walked  to the Townhall for our Marriage licence, GPS is a wonderful thing,.  Those people who have experienced Latin American  and  Southern European bureaucracy will probably imagine a whole afternoon going from one office to another and being fleeced in each, Venezuela and Italy being listed as the two most inefficient bureaucracies on the planet  by the World Economic Forum, beating anywhere in Africa .However here in the USA most things work , and work well.It was all done so smoothly and with such politeness and good humour thjat it left us enough  time to check out on foot various hotels. and motels with the idea of relocating the next day, having had enough of the Strip ,finally deciding on the Grand, for its location.ie walking distance to the Thai restaurant.
All the walking around took its toll, and having various appointments the next day we took the bus back to Caesars Palace. By now it was dark and Las Vegas is a place best seen  at night. Opposite the door to the hotel was a 10 storey Illuminated billboard advertising Donny and Marie, yes , you ve probably forgotten them as well , or tried to, but they are still very much at it.Mormonism is one of those aspects of American life the visitor will probably not devote a lot of time to, most people regarding it as one of those dotty Americanisms that give the place charm , but are quite harmless. The history of how Utah , the 12 th largest state ,was founded tells a very different tale.`Sherlock Holmes fans will of couse be familiar with the terrorist aspects of the Mormons occupation of Utah and the surrounding area , including Las Vegas, from the Conan Doyle story, A Study in Scarlet, and he had no need to exaggerate      Utah was not renowned for its hospitality to non practioners, and   many settlers en route to California never made it.One of the more infamous incidents was the Mountain Meadows Massacre of 1857, when a wagon train of 120 pioneers heading for California from Arkansas, were slaughtered by Mormons , some of whom were disguised as Paiute Indians. Some of the settlers who survived the five day siege of their Wagon train were then persuaded that they would be escorted peacefully out of the State, but as the Mormons suspected that the settlers had realised their attackers were not really Indians, they separated the men  from the women and children , shot the men ,and clubbed the women and children to death, except some of the smaller children who were adopted by local families. The killers were then sworn to secrecy.
Of course all that happened a long time ago, well ,fairly long ago,, and the Church of Latter Day Saints has had plenty of time and money to spend on public relations in the interim.
