K-dramas with super sweet, totally dedicated and maybe not the most intellectual of men.

When The Camellia Blooms (Honestly this drama was underrated! The couple is adorable but it's also a really really great drama!)

Dali And The Cocky Prince (I'm actually rewatching this one as we speak. The villains are super annoying but what else is new. Moo Hak LOVES Dali and basically would follow her to the ends of the earth trying to understand art and failing lol. )

Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale (this short little drama is airing now and literally no one is watching it. It starts off a bit iffy but overall it's super fun. The lead is a literal unhinged idiot who is in love with the FL but cannot admit it. He'll do anything for her and is constantly trying to rescue her but also....So SO Very Cute And Dumb.)

Boys Be Brave! (this bl features maybe one of the cutest himbos ever. This poor sweet kid will do anything to get the attention of the boy he likes (including a tattoo) and he's not even sure he likes him? This drama was great at the beginning and just ok at the end but the couple was very cute.

Run On (we all know I LOVE this drama!!! The second ML is my bias wrecker for this role. He's a happy go lucky, super funny and cute softy who falls for a CEO and never lets up.)

Extraordinary Attorney Woo (see a theme?? KANG TAE OH! He's not a himbo tho cause he's very smart. Whatever he belongs in this list!!)

Shopping King Louie (One of the favorite k-dramas, a spoiled rich kid with amnesia moves into a small apartment with the only person who can take care of him. SOOOOOO CUTE.)

The Happy Loner (this short little k-drama featuring a little puppy boy was actually really really great! It's only 2 episodes so I don't need to say the plot, you can just watch it! ;-)

Hogu's Love: (Another one of my favorites, Hogu is literally the cutest softest bean just trying to make it in the world and help his love take care of her baby.)

King The Land (I don't think Junho's character is dumb at work but he's really very dumb with love so it's excellent to see the chemistry. Also, people complained that there wasn't much plot but if you want a sweet and funny rom com with TONS of skinship, kisses and a man who wants to quit his job to help his girlfriend...this is it.)

He is Pyschometric (a poor babygirl who has psychic powers and falls for a cop. I really loved this drama even tho I'm mad about One Thing.)

Fight for My Way (This himbo isn't obsessed with the FL until he realizes his feelings but after that? GAME OVER)

Extraordinary You (We all know the leads are OTP for me. Haru is recognized by Eun Dan Oh and follows her everywhere. He's soft and quiet and is he smart??? Unclear :P)

It's actually so nice when there's two guys who love a lady and it's not a romantic love triangle; one of them leans towards familial love. It's great. It's fantastic.

Idek why this feels revolutionary, it's not like all the stories in the world are love triangles but it still makes me go YESSSSSS when it happens.

I get so sorely disappointed when the other guy goes "I've (also) always loved you (romantically)...." Like, writer, one man is enough. Writer, caring about the lady in a familial way is also fun! I guess I'm just tired of love triangles lol

Yesss he's your lover and the other guy is your best friend. Or from another perspective, it's the fun brother in law and sister situation! (And the other guy and lady is not related by blood)

And I don't mean like the other guy is just there as the male interest for another girl, I meant like he's actively in the main lady's life who also cares abt the main lady Not in a romantic way. He's not family.

Dr. Romantic 2 is my 100th completed kdrama!!! 🎉 It’s been two years since I started watching—March 2021—and I still love them. I think it’s fitting that this drama is my 100th as my 50th completed kdrama was with Ahn Hyo Seop (Business Proposal—my #2 all time fave kdrama) as well and I also have loved Lee Sung Kyung (Call It Love, Sh**ting Stars, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo) and Kim Min Jae (Dali & the Cocky Prince, Do You Like Brahms?, Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist, Goblin) in many dramas. Now that I’ve just binged it, I really love the Dr. Romantic series too and can’t wait for the third season.

Just finished Dali and the Cocky Prince. I put off the last 2 episodes for like a month 🙈, idk why I did that, it was super cute.

I stayed up all night when I first started watching because it was that good. They got me with the fake out break up lol.

I definitely recommend this one, super cute romance, but also so much drama.

namsoon is definitely a little too brazen and dumb for going around in that warehouse openly searching for things (in broad daylight !!!) but I fail to understand the imposter girl 😭😭😭 why are you fixated on her??? even her scammer gang had called her out that she wouldn’t have been able to prolong the stay.

it reminds me of the rude coworker of Dali in Dali and the Cocky Prince who kept taking vile shots and harassing Dali because she assumed Dali was a rich airhead so she deserved it 💀???

acting like you’re so bad and tough and don’t mind being the villain of the story when you do and are bad at it 😭

Sinopsis: Jin Moo Hak (Kim Min Jae) es el segundo hijo de una familia que dirige la firma global de franquicias de restaurantes Dondon F&B, una empresa que comenzó como un restaurante de gamjatang (estofado de huesos de cerdo). Jin Moo Hak carece de educación, pero tiene una excelente capacidad para ganar dinero. Por otro lado, Kim Dal Ri (Park Gyu Young) es investigadora visitante de una galería de arte. Ella es la única hija de una familia prestigiosa, puede hablar 7 idiomas diferentes y tiene una amena personalidad, pero no es muy buena para hacer las tareas del hogar como cocinar. Jin Moo Hak y Kim Dal Ri se conocen sin saber los antecedentes del otro y desarrollan buenos sentimientos por el otro. Más tarde, debido a la quiebra de una galería de arte, se reencuentran como hijo de una familia rica y sin educación e hija de una prestigiosa familia al borde de la bancarrota.

Dali and The Cocky Prince es el kdrama más lindo, ligero y reconfortante que vi la primera mitad del año pasado (2022). Cuando lo empecé a ver, tenia la noción que era otro rom-com ligero para pasar el rato, y sí, en cierta parte lo es, pero también es mucho mas que eso, tiene muchas enseñanzas y lecciones de vida que vamos aprendiendo a través de las experiencias de los personajes.

La química entre Kim Min Jae y Park Gyu Young está en las nubes, tanto que me atrevo a decir que es una de las parejas más lindas y tiernas de kdramaland. Su actuación estuvo en el punto y no me puedo a imaginar a otros actores perfectos para estos papeles que no sean ellos. 

El humor fue lo que más me encantó. La personalidad de Jin Moo Hak es distinta a lo que estamos acostumbradas a ver de un rico, que en los kdramas es usualmente un chaebol de 3era generación, y que en este caso es distinto, pues Moo Hak es un nuevo rico. Y debo decir que es ver a alguien así es refrescante en el mundo de los kdramas. Los personajes peculiares y la historia lograban romper los estereotipos de rom-com de los kdramas. 

Los 16 capítulos estuvieron muy distribuidos. No se sintió lento al inicio, ni apresurado al final. Todo estuvo en la velocidad correcta... ¿y lo mejor?

No hubo triángulo amoroso y no hubo periodo de ruptura. LO QUE DEMUESTRA QUE UN KDRAMA NO NECESITA DE ESTOS ELEMENTOS PARA SER ENTRENIDO Y TENER 16 CAPÍTULOS.

Una última cosa que me gusté y aprecié de los escritores es que no se olvidaron de los pequeños detalles -no tan pequeños- que usualmente son parte de porqué la pareja principal se acerca en primer lugar. Como es usual, para el episodio 16 creí que habían olvidado o ignorado completamente este artículo/detalle, pero no, no me decepcionaron incluso al final.
