July 14 Zodiac - Full Horoscope Personality
They are keen on all that occurs on the planet, what others do, their thought process, all of which permit them to assemble data, grow their experience, and foster their internal identities. They reflect nature, they think and mirror a great deal. They have an extraordinary creative mind and like to stare off into space. They are removed, alterable, very held, fairly modest - they show little interest in succeeding throughout everyday life. Curiously delicate and frequently held - very figuring out in their way of behaving. They partake in their family climate and are astoundingly appended to their moms. They are close to home individuals, genuinely connected to others. They like the past, old traditions and, by and large, all old things; they frequently gather different things. They have a seriously heartfelt disposition. Economical and persisting - they don't leave their place of employment in any event, when every other person does. They are exceptionally terrified of being mocked, which frequently makes them veil their sentiments and cause mistaken assumptions. They are fit for enduring and profound love. Blemishes: They show a specific latency of character and absence of drive. After times of movement and work, there is a few latency and dormancy where they need to keep away from any work. They are excessively glad, excessively partial to shallow functions; nonetheless, they are very severe in connections. What compromises them? The center time of your life will be upbeat and blissful. Notwithstanding, in light of the fact that they express an excess of detachment when they ought to be making an honest effort, the finish of their life could be ominous. Sicknesses in which they may be in danger incorporate stomach related messes, gastric fever, and ailment.

Screen ID: post by OP Intrigue Post Haste- “I’m watching a documentary ‘Before Stonewall’ about gay history pre-1969, and discovered something which is interesting.
This documentary includes a brief clip of a 1954 televised newscast about the rise of homosexuality. The host of the program interviewed psychologists, a police officer, and one “known homosexual”. The “known homosexual” is 22 years old. He identifies himself as Curtis White, which is a pseudonym, his name is actually Dale Olson.
So I tracked down the newscast. According to what I can find, Dale Olson may have been the first gay man to appear openly on television and defend his sexual orientation. He explains that there’s nothing wrong with him mentally and he’s never been arrested. When asked whether he’d take a cure if it existed, he says no. When asked whether his family knows he’s gay,he says that they didn’t up until tonight, but he guesses they’re going to find out, and he’ll probably be fired from his job as well. So of course the host is like… why are you doing this interview then? And Dale Olson, cool as cucumber pie, says “I think that this way I can be a little useful to someone besides myself.”
1954. 22 years old. Balls of pure titanium.
Despite the pseudonym, Dale’s boss did indeed recognize him from the TV program, and he was promptly fired the next day. He wrote into ONE magazine six months later to reassure readers that he had gotten a new hob at a higher salary.
Curious about what became of him, I looked into his life a litter further. It turns out that he ultimately became a very successful publicity agent. He promoted the ‘Rocky’ movies and ‘Superman’. Not only that, but get this: Dale represented Rock Hudson, and he was the person who convinced him to disclose that he had AIDS! He wrote the statement Rock read. And as we know, Rock Hudson’s disclosure had a very significant effect on the national conversation about AIDS in the U.S.
It appears that no one has made the connection between Dale Olson the publicity agent instrumental in the AIDS debate and Dale Olson the 22 year old first openly gay man on TV. So I thought I’d make it. For Pride month, an unsung gay hero. End ID.

Profiles of Pride: June 8th! 🏳️‍🌈Dale Olson🏳️‍🌈
Dale C. Olson (February 20, 1934 – August 9, 2012) was an American writer and publicist who represented prominent actors and films directors during his career, and an early gay rights activist.
In 1954, he became the first man to appear on television in the United States and self-identify as homosexual, albeit using a pseudonym with his face obscured. He served on the public relations coordinating and executive committee for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for twenty years, including three years as the committee's chairman. Beginning in the 1970s he spearheaded and launched film publicity campaigns.
Olson moved to Los Angeles in 1951 and became the first national secretary for the Mattachine Society, one of the first organizations of homosexual men. In 1954, using the pseudonym Curtis White and with his face blurred, he appeared on Confidential File, a local "tabloid"-style television program hosted by Paul Coates, in an episode titled “Homosexuals and the Problems They Present”. In a segment called “The Sex Variant in Southern California”, "Curtis White" acknowledged that he was homosexual and stated that he "didn't consider himself abnormal" and would not want to be "cured". Despite the measures to obscure his identity, he was recognized by his boss when it aired and fired the next day, as he had predicted in the program. When questioned about why he would run that risk, he stated, "I think that this way I can be a little useful to someone besides myself." This has been cited as the first television appearance of an openly gay man.
He worked as a reporter and writer for The Hollywood Reporter and Variety during his early career. Olson co-founded the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle as a staff member at Variety. In the 1960s, Olson joined the staff of Rogers & Cowan, a Los Angeles public relations firm, where he remained for eighteen years. He eventually became the head of Rogers & Cowan's film division.
Olson left the company in 1985 to open his own publicity company. He became the spokesperson for Rock Hudson in 1985 during the actor's battle with AIDS. Olson persuaded Hudson to publicly acknowledge that he had the disease, becoming one of the first celebrities to do so.
In addition to representing actors and other figures, Olson also worked on the campaigns for major Hollywood films. He launched the publicity campaigns for several Hollywood film franchises during the 1970s, including Rambo, Halloween, Rocky, and Superman. He also headed the Academy Award campaigns for many films, notably Terms of Endearment in 1983, American Beauty in 1999, and Gladiator in 2000.
The Actors Fund of America named the lobby of its Los Angeles headquarters in honor of Olson and his partner Eugene Harbin, in November 2004. Actress Shirley MacLaine presented Olson with the Actors Fund Medal of Honor, the organization's highest honor, on July 12, 2012.

A Dowsing Primer
Tumblr media
What is Dowsing?
Dowsing is an ancient type of divination, considered by some practitioners as a kind of "Earth magic", that relies on subtle electromagnetic vibrations. You can read all about it on Wikipedia, so I won't go into the history here, except to say it has a long and storied tradition.
When modern intuitive healers talk about Dowsing, we're usually referring to the practice of using a pendulum in order to diagnose and treat the patient. The best way to think about the pendulum is as an external tool which guides the practitioner's intuition.  Like any tool, it needs to be taken proper energetic care of, cleared, charged, and programmed before using for any kind of dowsing practice.
Choosing a pendulum
What type of pendulum you use is widely dependent on the kind of dowsing you’d like to do as various metals and stones resonate differently.  If you just want something that is very clear and versatile, I recommend starting out with this brass Karnak pendulum.  Some people like using an amethyst or another healing stone for healing dowsing, but please remember that anything you buy from a seller will need to be energetically cleansed and charged prior to using.  Really, anything can be used as a pendulum as long as it is well suspended and can swing freely, however, keep in mind that you should avoid using jewelry for Dowsing if possible because jewelry will absorb the energy of the wearer and may interfere with your readings.

Types of Dowsing
Medicinal Dowsing
This type of Dowsing uses medicinal charts to ask questions about the patient's condition to figure out the source of the illness and suggest possible treatments. Treatments will most often rely on the practitioner's area of expertise, and will often include nutritional supplements, medicinal baths, and/or other Eastern practices.
Energy Dowsing
This type of Dowsing will usually rely on a chakras or meridians chart to diagnose the presence of imbalances in the energetic flow of the patient's body. An energy healer can use this information to remove any blockages or imbalances to restore proper energy flow and help the patient's body to naturally heal itself.  The chart below is one that I created for my own practice: it’s a pretty basic example of how these types of charts might look.

Transcendental Dowsing
This is a more advanced type of Dowsing that is not recommended for new practitioners because it allows the dowser to actually transform the energy around a specific issue or problem. Transcendental Dowsing is very powerful when used in energetic healing. When I use this technique, I create a void into which I channel the negative energies from my patients, and then I fill the void with positive, healing energies. It's very important to clear the space and set up a shield when using this technique, allowing nothing but light and love in and out.
There are lots more non-medical applications for Dowsing and it's a lot of fun and really is limited only by your imagination. If you're interested in learning more, there are tons of books available, including from your local libraries that can give you a great primer on this fascinating and useful ancient practice.
This book by Dale Olson has lots of useful charts if you'd like to try your hand at it.  It also has blank pages where you can play with creating your own charts.
As always, my inbox is open and I'm happy to answer any questions!
Love & Light,
El
