So this wretched little fleabag came onto my porch last night.

We're calling her Daisy and she's really a VERY sweet and also EXTREMELY scared girl.

She had a collar on but when I gave her a bath this morning she dripped red from all of the flea-dirt on her body. Lucky for her, I had extra flea treatment on hand, so she should be fixed up now.

She's SO soft and SO scared I don't think she's ever been in a building before. She was probably just a yard-dog.

I don't really want to foster a dog right now but I don't think I could live with myself if I just dropped her off at the humane society.

I never mow the patches of English daisies, not so much for the bees, as for her to see something pretty when walking around.

In the crushed, compacted stone on the edge of a car park Pilosella aurantiaca (fox and cubs, Flora's paintbrush, golden mouse ear, orange-flowered hawkweed, red daisy, devil's paintbrush) was thriving. This hairy herbaceous perennial spreads by stolons to form clumps of leaves and has widely naturalised in Britain. The flowers are popular with bees for nectar and pollen.

Dressed up like a mushroom for the Bloomburrow pre-release and got my outfit complimented by a Waffle House waitress AND a pre-teen girl, and that's what we call a successful fit!

He’s bonded with Eli in particular over their shared love of flowers and he always gives fresh mini-bouquets to everyone as gifts.
