It seems a little crazy that I can't remember if I've eaten food today but I just heard Demons by Imagine Dragons and I instantly remembered this one specific fic I read one time while listening to it on repeat because it 'fit perfectly' for the painfully 2010s era ship I was obsessed with at the time but haven't thought about in years.

6) Too Big To Be a Jockey

Something about a horse being split in half because its rider is too big. Also, children having guns pointed at them and an entire skin suit (literal skin) that a child (who was supposedly dead) was wearing

7) The OOPSIE DAISY Bulge

Tom saying oopsie daisy somewhere round the start (does he even say it? I don't know). I don't even remember this one but I swear I watched it

8) The Hare Who Wore a Sweater

Husband mad at wife for caring for the hares. Husband goes to bar. German woman flirts with him ("do you know how many orifices a woman has? A German woman has more!"). Barkeep gives him a drink called Be Careful™. Some time before or after that, Barkeep tries to slut-drop, falls, gets caught by the husband (and the guys on the sidelines). Wife gives a talking hare a sweater ("a moment of peace in the void") and the hare tries to tell her about the upcoming danger (Mcginnery) but then gets shot a little later ("Bingo!"). "What happened to your hare?", wife accuses husband of shooting Jimmy the hare immediately after the husband said he didn't. Car chase scene where both Mcginnery and his assistant seem to be driving (even the characters comment on this). Husband slut-drops to prevent Mcginnery from pressing the detonator for the mines surrounding the village (?). The hares have a meeting some time before or during the previous scene and go to deactivate the mines. They later appear and get mad at the wife because she claimed to have deactivated the mines herself then snaps at the hares because she "fucking nit [them] sweaters"

9) Once Upon a Time I Killed Mum

DANGERFIELD! And something about bring your kid to work day at the station ("Rapier :D!")

10) The Midnight Mystery

Lord and Lady Lafaytte are interrogated about the murder, they say they were busy making love at the time. Head king of the police accidentally summons Scottish Batman (and Robin) and tells him to fuck off. Something something Robin gets kidnapped, Lord Lafayette ends up doing a Bane thing

it strikes fear into my heart that we know Daisy has a sister and a father but in the entire series her mother is never mentioned

knowing Derek as a DM, he absolutely KNOWS what’s up with Daisy’s missing mother, but the fact she hasn’t been mentioned plagues me every day

Fic Update: Weary Memory

HI HELLO! I saw Iron & Wine last night so figured I should update a fic titled after one of his songs.

He didn't play Weary Memory, but I also did not expect him to haha.

Here's chapter three!

Summary:

Buck finds himself in Minnesota in 1981, with a rare view of Bobby.

Snippet:

Buck looks around. He tries to determine where he is. He can’t even tell what sort of church he’s in. It’s a fancy one, alright. Like one of the big, fancy denominations. Catholic? Anglican? Orthodox? There’s a very hurt looking Jesus on a cross on the wall. The priest guy is wearing a pretty fancy outfit. A lot of the women in the service have big, oddly permed hair. Honestly, that piece of it makes him wonder if he’s no longer in Los Angeles. People in LA either have much better or much worse hair. 

Buck’s confusion might have remained directionless for a long time, if not for the priest. When he starts to speak, Buck’s sense of time in place is severely distorted. But at least he has some idea of what’s going on. 

“Timothy Nash was a God fearing man,” the priest announces.

Buck’s jaw drops. 

Nash?

unpopular opinion on peeta (me fishing for more of your peeta thoughts)

i don't believe peeta should've been katniss’ endgame. i have stated prior that i don't enjoy his continual violence towards her and his consistent pushing of her boundaries for the sake of his own needs (both of his interviews, the epilogue where he begs her for 15 YEARS for a baby she doesn't necessarily want,) alongside his supposed “golden boy” demeanour when really and truly, he was far from. he fawned her with manipulation and coercion when it came to the games and starcrossed lovers act, and he knew that katniss had always felt indebted to him and played on it.

he handled the idea of loving her worse than gale had, and it shows with the consistent parallels to his family and her own's prior unrequited romance, alongside constantly being disillusioned by the idea of katniss, not katniss herself. his standards for her did not meet who he was dealing with within the present, he constantly flocked back to who she was in the past and did not exactly focus on her in the future. she was a concept and something to grasp, someone to hold within their shared traumas. i see it as nothing more. it is a cycle of owing and owing with them.
