I CAN! I ABSOLUTELY CAN!!!! You wanna know why? Because Haymitch has more to tell. Like she said the book will be focusing on how propaganda plays such a big part in media. Remember how literally all of Haymitch's family were killed? How tf is the capitol gonna cover that up? It'll be interesting to see how the narrative gets flipped, because by HGs Haymitch is already the laughing stock of the captiol ('oh look at this silly drunk man! isnt he hilariously stupid!') like it will be SO interesting to see how he goes from this strong, confident kid- winner of the quarter quell, 2nd winner ever in district 11 (WITH NO MENTOR!!)- to the broken shell of a man we get in HGs

I saw someone get so mad that Finnick and Annie didn't get a happy ending. They went on and on about how Katniss was an unreliable narrator, and how Finnick was probably still alive, and Suzanne had killed him off for no good reason and should just bring him back. like NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! Katniss is 100% an unreliable narrator, we're shown this so many times throughout the series- but dont use that to try and change the story. Yes, Finnick couldve been happy. Yes, it was unfair that he died. But guess what! thats the point! there are so many unnecessary casualties during war, so many deaths that couldve been avoided, that feel unfair. too many "gone too soon" to fucking count. If you can't see the point suzanne was making thats on you my guy!!

Its so clear these people dont actually care about THG as a series, and just want Finnick back bcs they fancy him. Like do not get me wrong he was a great character and I loved him, but being fr a book on him would just be a little dull. He was a career, his victory was expected. Do not get me wrong i would absolutely love a deep dive into his life AFTER the games. It would be brilliant to see the psychological effects on him. But thats not what these people want, they want another bloodbath, more eye-candy. (they are becoming the people of the captiol)

A person I saw was actually saying that Suzanne was WRONG about finnick being dead?? that he was actually alive and she was delusional?? like mate, fan fiction exists for a reason. dont tell the author of a world-famous best selling series how to write her world-famous best selling series!! she knows what shes doing, and always has, so hush!

Whizzer and Marvin always try to have the stupidest “arguments” when Jason enters the apartment. When Trina or Mendel calls to tell them they’re on their way Whizzer and Marvin are scheming about what Jason will walk into this time. Some of their “arguments” are: weither cereal is a soup, how dogs would wear pants, what weights more: a pound of bricks or a pound of feathers, and that Marvin was mean to Whizzer in his dream. Jason always looks forward to showing up a tiny bit more to hear whatever crazy shit his dads have come up with this time.

the reason i have never watched falsettos in my own home was because i subconsciously knew that it would explode my dad's mind.

I was relistening to Everyone Hates His Parents and like some people get bitter over Mendel jokingly saying "guess I'll have to raise this Jason myself" but we need to remember that Marvin's and Trina's reaction to Jason not wanting a Bar Mitzva was pretty much say that what Jason was doing was worse than killing his mother. Marvin just really goes "kill your mother, uh? why not since you are canceling the Bar Mitzva" while Trina is like "Yes, Jason, I'm here doing everything for you but you insist in wanting to kill your poor mother [me]".

Like, yes, they are embarassed and stressed out but holy shit. This is an awfull thing to say to your kid. And Mendel is like "oh my god" and "everyone hate their parents and I'm starting to see why" because he himself is horrifield by it. He really just spends almost as much time as Jason hearing his wife and her ex-husband fight and say horrible things for the sake of creating this one perfect event and they want to do it for Jason but is also for themselfs and he sort of gets it but in his first actual good psychiatric move he is like "idc this is the 80's and parents are like that this is hurting the kid" and tries in his own way to make things a bit easier for Jason.

Mendel is not the best. He is an awful terrible really bad psychiatrist, a questionable friend and at most an okay husband. But I'll defend his position as a stepdad with my life. He loves Jason and he does his best even if his best is akward and weird and sometimes questionable ('I'm gonna bring girls from the wrong side of the tracks') and tbh he is doing better than Marvin (who I do love and think was starting to actually be a good dad and it is part of the tragedy that he never fully gets there in his mending bridges with Trina and Jason process). Mendel is the dad that steped up!!
