Da 5 Bloods (2020)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Da 5 Bloods has a few sequences of machine gun fire with frequent close-ups of muzzle flashes. Near the beginning, there is a party with severe but brief strobe lights, followed shortly by children playing a prank involving firecrackers that create a strobe effect. One of the last scenes has flashes from several cameras.
A couple of scenes take place on helicopters in flight. Handheld cameras are used almost exclusively, with mild to moderate shaking during some intense scenes.
Flashing Lights: 7/10. Motion Sickness: 6/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: This film begins by showing real-life footage of war violence, including a gunshot to the head of an unarmed person. There is also real-life footage of Donald Trump, and one character loyally follows his rhetoric. There are scenes of bloody violence and extreme gore, including two snakes killed graphically on-screen (presumably using special effects). Slurs against various races are used throughout the film.

6 Films to Watch on Memorial Day
While honoring our slain and those who returned - here are 6 of my favorite Memorial Day flix https://wp.me/p2v8yf-6ri #memorialday #movies #podcast
Many Americans – young and old have given their life for our country in wars that have stretched out over decades. For the ones who survived and returned to U.S. soil, many of them will never be the same.  So, Memorial Day is a time for our country to rally around those men and women how risked their lives, left their families in order for those of us at home to feel safe.  In honor of all of…

Da 5 Bloods was described as follow:
Film about the experiences of Black soldiers during the Vietnam War. You unfortunately don't see many films about the experiences of Black soldiers in any war (outside of Glory but even then, the main character's white) so this is a refreshing and interesting approach to the genre.
Henry V was described as follow (putting both the 1944 version and the 1989's propagandas as both are adaptations from the same play by Shakespeare)
Henry V wants to take parts of France back into the british kingdom. Makes a great speech to his soldiers. Was parallel playing on my phone in the same room as someone watching it so Idk much else about it but it was good!
Henry V is insulted by the french Dauphin and thus decides, in a completely logical and rationnal move, to declare war to him and claim french territories. Skip an hour and they're in Agincourt, ready for the best speech ever TODAY IS SAINT CRISPIAN

My ★★ review of Da 5 Bloods on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/41s5ad
Such a weird disjointed film. The editing is jarring, the characters are under-developed, the schmaltzy music is somehow both underused and overused, and the dialogue sometimes sounds like something from a 'Bad Lip Reading' video. The last of Paul's many breakdowns ended up being unintentionally hilarious.
My favourite bit was the cute little dance the four old geezers did in the bar at the start.
Also if Zack Snyder (rightly) gets shit for using 'Ride Of The Valkyries' in a Vietnam film then so should Spike Lee.
