I gotta talk about Vanak Faithwalker, an Astral Ward charr who is part of the Amnytas Meta event. And now potentially confirmed a nonbinary character.

They have a feminine charr model, while their voice is deep and masculine, I absolutely adore how their voice sounds and how they look. I always wondered what they identified by, but there was no clues anywhere in SotO.

But now in Janthir Wilds, we meet them again and get some confirmation via the Commander's journals.

Vanak is referred to by 'they' in the Commander's journals. As shown below. (Chapter 1 and chapter 2 journal snippets below.)

im thinking about celestia and the abyss being literal opposites (chaos and order) and im thinking about childe and lumine being sort of embodiments of that, just not in the way we think. after the latest natlan quest its clear to us what the fatui intends and what they want- i think the tsaritsa more than anything loves humanity, which is why she directly opposes celestia who are known for bringing down different civilizations. childe, as Her weapon and Her blade is an extenction of that: he's a blade forged by the abyss, bathed in Her holyness, meant to strike down those who sin. lumine (talking solely about traveler lumine) is the literal sister of the prince of the abyss, she has clear ties to it and at this point in the story still is hesitant about fully opposing him (i love angst). her entire story revolves around chaose and disrupting celestia's (and the fatui's) order. isnt that fun

i think what childe longs for the most is control- control of himself, his life, his powers, his story, his fate. i think what lumine wants the most is freedom, which is just another phacet of chaos

anyways. you see it. the themes are theming

if they ever actually make that disco elysium amazon series it should just be about what martinaise's citizens were doing before the murder and during harry's three days party. harry/the murder is the thread that connects everything but he's more of a secondary character who shows up towards the end of the characters' stories

an episode or more focused on the capeside apartments, one on the whirling, one on the fishing village and church, one on precint 41, one on wild pines and krenel and the union...

Like i enjoy a more realistic character any day but making cutouts of him in his fancy outfit and spreading them around the park as the first introduction to him, only to make him a naked bloody plob of fur, claws and teeth with no voiceacting makes me so disappointed

We could've had snarky remarks, like "Did Rambley send you here?" Or his voice actor roaring but no. A cat scared of slightly high pitched noise. A naked lion with no snazz or anything. He doesn't even look like he'd perform for people, he looks like he was just fed his daily meal (how did the blood stay there so long anyhow? Especially that color)

Idk i just feel like they did him dirty and he could've been so much cooler than. Bloody lion who roars at you :/

fnaf x dbd has soo much potential bc IMAGINE theres a vanny cosmetic on top of springtrap and Vanessa is the female survivor. in the Dracula chapter Dracula and the survivor from his chapter have unique voicelines if they're in a game together going against eachother, like Dracula will regard him specifically when with anyone else it'll just be his normal lines

IMAGINE if vanny and vanessa had something similar where vanny is taunting vanessa in a way, trying to tell her that she'll get her in the end and she'll be trapped and she cant escape her. it would be generic cool "I'm evil and chasing you" lines but have a meaningful double meaning bc of vanessa BEING vanny and her having to work to 'make up' for what she did as vanny. like the very embodiment of her trauma and past coming back to get her and it's her worst nightmare

We could have learned more about Vol'jin in the heritage questline. Like the entire part about the rush'kah mask.

You know, like one Vol'jin wears thats on the banner and tabard to represent the Darkspear. Maybe Rokhan reminiscing when Vol'jin made his own to emphasize the meaning behind them.

I recently played through Wriothesley's story quest, and the ending was just so sweet? The first ever wedding in the Fortress of Meropide!

I feel like Avice and Faissolle would love to be married by Wriothesley, it just takes them a while to get the guts to ask. And well. How can he say no, after everything they went through (besides, I think he'd genuinely be pretty flattered to be trusted with such a thing haha)?

So Wriothesley gets officiated and everything-

((Wriothesley: Hey, can I marry two people?

Neuvilette: That depends. Is Sigewinne aware and alright with it. Answer carefully.

Wriothesley: ...Can I officiate a wedding, I mean.

Neuvilette: ...Oh! Yes, of course, allow me to find the paperwork for that.))

- just for the occasion. There's a ceremony and a reception and they even found someone to make a cake and everything!

And as he sits off to the side, watching everyone celebrate, Sigewinne spins into view after whirling around the dance floor with several of the guards and inmates. She sits in the chair nearby, decides that's not close enough, and then literally just hauls herself up to sit on the edge of the table right up against Wriothesley. Wriothesley leans his head against her shoulder. Sigewinne leans her cheek against his head. And then they just kind of sit there like that and watch everyone party, the bride and groom in the middle of the crowd.

Sigewinne eventually grabs Wriothesley's hand, and he asks her what she's plotting. Sigewinne tells him "Oh, nothing," as she rubs the pad of her thumb over his ring finger. "Just thinking."

Okay actually since we're here my full official prediction: heathcliff gets the cathy id (as kris said first. Their mind.) Like of course he should. The vibe of the mirror world is if she hadn't existed and he would've been actually taken in possibly with the intention to be Hindley's right hand man, so the id is A Gentleman Of Wuthering Heights or something. And technically it is her but in practice it's the end of the book situation where he's alone without her, but also HER situation in the 3 years of time skip, where she's left alone and decides to marry as her one way out. For the id the theme definitely won't be marriage but probably the classic Big Violence, possibly with him having the goal of taking over the grange (which cathy did do) and I think it would be fun for him to get some lines about considering joining the syndicates as he then actually did WHICH would be beautifully specular as their stories should be.
