From the looks of things, AO3 is back up this morning! I’ve seen a few reports that the DDOS attack has been successfully circumvented, though I’m not an insider or anything.

Now, what I’m about to say is pure speculation. But given the relative certainty that this was a Russian hacker collective and the rumors that it might be connected to Putin, and given the reporting that AO3 essentially, and primarily with volunteer staff, pasted them to the fucking wall....I think the funniest possible outcome of this would be if the attack on AO3 led to an authority of some kind tracking down the hackers, who roll on their boss, and Putin’s regime falls because of the robustness of AO3′s DDOS response. 

I’m not saying it should happen, I’m not even saying it could happen, I’m just saying it would be the funniest of all outcomes if it did happen.

Sometimes I kiiiinda wonder if Disney/Lucasfilm was thrown for a loop by Just. How. Popular. Tech ended up being.

A Power-balanced Enemies to Lovers BL that ends happily, 2024

When TDJ came out, I was enamored by the idea of the evil, possessive boss who was obsessed with his "good boy" employee and I prayed for the day when I'd watch that dynamic in an action bl.

And then KP came out with the same trope, setting Kinn up as the perfect mix of Yohan's possessiveness, anger issues and violent nature. Played against Porsche's "I'll never be a gangster... unless I fall in love with one," which reminded me of Gaon going undercover only to change his mind and join Yohan in the end.

While that was great, I wondered how awesome it would be if, for once, the Porsche/Gaon "good boy" character had more agency. If he was just as strong and just as aware as the Yohan/Kinn character. I knew I'd love it and given how many times Yohan/Kinn abused, lied to and manipulated Porsche/Gaon, I really wanted to see things be flipped with the good boy being the one with all the facts and manipulating his evil boss.

And do you know what the cosmos did????

THEY GAVE US THE WORST OF EVIL.

Like, it just keeps getting better. 2021 gave us TDJ, 2022 gave us KP and 2023 gave us TWOE. So 2024, I'm looking at you with a new addition to my requests.

Please give us a proper enemies to lovers arc where they end up together... HAPPILY!!!

Not and ending like the distant relationship in TDJ. Not an ending like the emotional imprisonment in KP and definitely not with one of them dying like in TWOE.

A proper happy ending, 2024. Please. That's not too much to ask, is it?

Despite not being the pairing I wanted, Riu and Seungjin's chemistry is undeniable. They are so freaking cute together, I can't even be mad.

Riu assigned to flirt like his life depends on it again.

Daeyoung stroking Jeongha's chin is adorable and Seungjin is so cute. I swear it's effortless for him.

So sweet. Its been a while since I've seen Jaemin's bedroom. I've missed it hahaha.

Okay, "short-term memory + ADHD brain" time

But does someone else has read this great Lestappen fic with a name I cannot fucking remember that was a Enemies to Lovers where Charles absolutely loathed Max but he has some kind of humiliation kink or something like that (so he decided that the best way to motivate himself into winning was, ermmm using Max’s little thing as a popsickle) alonside a really worrying denial problem. Or did I pretty much dreamed about it. Question.

Because I cannot seem to fucking find it as my ao3 history is a fucking mess, I don't remember who was the author, when it was last updated or anything at all about it besides the whole plot (in the last chapter Max finally kissed Charles) and I don't know what to do with my life because I woke up with an agonizing urge to read it. Besides the fact that I'm sure as hell I recommended it to someone but I don't know if I actually did it or if I was ranting about it to my roomie (also he doesn't aswer his phone, let's ignore that it's 1 am. go insomnia!) And if I'm crazy, because this has not been the first time this happens to me, please let me know.

edit: I found it, thanks lestappies or readers or anyone in general. now I can finally be in peace. 🙌🏼 (let's ignore that the author last updated on October. I wanna cry) and please remember that spam is not nice!
