#I'm so indecisive#because they're so good#see McAvoy is so good as Charles#like it's such a refreshing take with him being charming and young and full of hope and idealistic#his backstory perfectly matches up with his character#the professor energy is jumping out of this man#and then in DOFP McAvoy plays a lost and resentful Xavier perfectly#like it could've felt OOC but the writing and McAvoy make it seem like a natural conclusion#BUT-#BUT PATRICK STEWART MAN#he is the motherhecking OG#his Xavier is so wise and comforting#you admire him cause you literally want him to be your mentor cause he's so caring and strong#Stewart is just so iconic in the role and his dulcet tones are just so reassuring#even though they started off as Charles like a decade apart they really do feel like the same character which is outstanding#DOFP was so good because it let these two interact like hell yes#in this essay I will-#no but this got long as hell#probably cause they're both fantastic actors#side note:#we do not mention comics Charles Xavier in this household#charles xavier#professor x#james mcavoy#patrick stewart#x men#x men movies#meme#my post
