Best and worst match in the NEL so far

My answer is going to be greatly influenced by what characters are in the teams that BM was facing and my personal preferences so this will be biased as fuck. Also, I think it’s a little hard to evaluate because the circumstances were so different for each one re Isagi’s role in the team, but here's my take.

The Barcha match: Way too short. A HUGE plus was simply Bachira being there though (and Otoya's scrawny ass as well). Also, I really like Lavinho. I think Barcha as a team has great vibes and swagger and I'm really sad we didn't get to see more of them.

Obviously, it's understandable why this game was so short - it just served as an introduction to how this arc was gonna work and who Kaiser is. Still, I wish there had been more...

The MC Match: The length and pacing of this game were great. Unfortunately, I can’t evaluate this match very fairly because I simply do not give a single shit about Nagi or Reo, and since so much of the focus was on them, I just didn’t enjoy this game that much. One big plus was Chigiri being a baddie and the amazing ending with the whole “how does it feel to be a clown in my story” spiel. Also, I liked seeing more of Noa and learning about his attitude towards Isagi.

I think Isagi's and Kaiser's relationship/rivalry was explored so well during this match. Additionally, and very, very importantly, I really liked seeing Isagi... struggle. I liked seeing him fail and lose his shit and be desperate and angry. It added stakes and anticipation, and really left me as a reader wondering what he was going to do next. It was great.

The Ubers Match: I love Ubers as a team because many of the characters I like are on it + Lorenzo was a great new addition + the team has a great dynamic.

The one huge fucking minus was that during this game things started going well for Isagi to an almost cartoonish degree. The flip from "Isagi is struggling! How will he ever beat Kaiser and become the best? The suspense is killing me!" to "Isagi can do everything and everything goes his way. C'mon, he's the main character," was a little too fast for me; I kind of didn't enjoy it. He became too successful too fast. I hope the PxG game fixes this somehow.

What I did enjoy immensely however was whatever the fuck was happening with Kaiser and his character development. Like all true Kaiser fans, I want to see him fail and cry and scream and throw up, and we actually got that here! Here's to more of that in the next game. 🥂

To summarize: I have no idea bro. I think that overall the MC game was probably the best one pacing, story-telling, and stakes-wise, but, again, I didn't personally enjoy it that much simply because of who is on the MC team. I liked reading through the Ubers game the most but I don't think it was the best writing-wise.

Sanemi is feeling a mix of utter confusion and anger towards you for being insecure. He’s seriously baffled at where you even got the idea of from. Whatever you did amazed him: your fighting, your clothes (even if you are wearing the uniform, it just fits you much better than anyone else), your breathing style, your hobby, the way you walked or even talked to him, in his eyes you are beautiful and amazing.

He’d confront you about it. Where’d you get this idea even from? But after finding out that your insecurities mainly were because of your family’s nagging and disapproval, Sanemi got furious. You’ll need to either talk him out of beating your relative’s ass or hold him back by tackling him to the ground and THEN talk him out of it.

Now, from this day on, Sanemi will try his best to make you more confident in yourself. In his eyes, you are the most perfect and talented person. Sanemi feels like he should the one who should feel insecure. You’re so patient and understanding with him and you manage to calm him down by just simply touching his arm, it’s almost embarrassing. You are so absolutely gorgeous to him in every way. He feels like he doesn’t deserve you in any way.

Sanemi is not the biggest fan of you wanting to join the Demon Slayer Corps, but he’ll encourage you to keep training and fighting anyway. He’ll make time in his day to train you personally and to spar with you, making sure to point out your improvement.

Kyojuro’s first reaction was to laugh at your face. Surely you were joking! Your breathing technique is controlled and powerful and your slashing is accurate and swift. If you’d receive proper hashira training, you’ll be on his level in no time! Demons will sense your presence from a mile away!

But after seeing how your face faded into frown, Kyojuro silenced himself immediately. He apologises loudly and bowed to you. You are so talented and powerful, he seriously thought you were joking! What made you think like this in the first place? Did someone upset you? If so, he’d need a word with them!

After finding out your insecurity stems mainly from your family, he’ll suggest to speak to them. Kyojuro believes he can teach them wrong by pointing every single perfect thing about you. But if he did, he’d be there all day and night.

But if that’s not what you want, he’d totally understand. Kyojuro would then continue point everything perfect and talented about out to you instead! You need to see yourself from his perspective! You are good enough, you are loved and you are talented!

And he did so until you had to physically stop him with either a kiss or shoving food into his mouth.

Kyojuro means well. He wants you to see yourself the way he sees you: his talented, amazing and beautiful partner. From this day on, he’ll make sure to compliment you every day and on whatever you are doing. Even if it’s a little silly.

☀️ Yorichii Tsugikuni ☀️

Yorichii understands where you are coming from. He feels the exact same way, since his father beat it into his skull every day: He’s a failure, shouldn’t have been born and that he should’ve killed him at birth, regardless about how much his mother protested.

He is incredibly self-doubting and insecure himself, wich only increased after loosing Uta so brutally and his brother to Muzan’s luring. He is a person not worth remembering and not worth of being called a demon slayer, perhaps not even worth living. So it surprised him that you expressed similar insecurities.

“My sun, you are a very capable slayer. If not for you, we wouldn’t have beheaded this many demons together, and I surely would’ve struggled on my own.”

Yorichii would talk to you about your insecurities. Why do you feel this way? What made you think this? How can he show that you are wrong?

All of the sudden you tell him that him being such a strong slayer, in addition to your family’s behaviour and words, made you so insecure. Yorichii feels terrible for being partly responsible of making you feel even more insecure.

Yorichii a very quiet man, preferring to listen rather to talk. But for you, he’ll try to speak up more. The way you just swung your sword at the demon, that was excellent sword-handling. Your foot movement you did back there was very impressive, he should learn from you. Your cooking is excellent, this is now his new favourite dish. Your craftsmanship, no matter if you sketch, write or whatever, looks very well made and beautiful.

“You look very beautiful today, my light. Could you show me your stance from yesterday? I’d like to learn from you.”

uuuuh okay thoughts about S2E1 (disclaimer: SPOILERS! and some unpopular opinions bc i WILL be criticizing alicent). most of these i had during my watch yesterday, and now i’m elaborating on them after more thinking about it. looooong post ahead

okay i liked the new intro. i will miss the blood pouring but i think the tapestries are a more visual way to convey targaryen history.

my favorite parts were the shot of vhagar and balerion in the field of fire(? idk they were eating men (green dragon black dragon !!!), the jaehaerys and alysanne portrait, alicent and rhaenyra and aegon and rhaenyra crowned side by side. beautiful.

also, the blood beneath the thread !!! targaryen history is written in blood. never forget this.

i dont particularly like jace being at the wall. it makes little sense to me, especially because the north is massive and i don’t think that cregan would like to make a procession to the wall just because a prince is there. i liked the tidbits though: jon going to the watch is a tradition he followed unknowingly :)

also he’s always saying important things: the treasure in the green council, jason’s moves here. please listen to him!

another thing i dislike is the way important political moves are being brushed off. the treasure is a big big matter. it should be said explicitly what the council is doing about it being the focus of the scene. i’m sure most casual viewers didn’t catch that the comedic relief is making big money moves that will backfire later.

but anyways jaehaerys is so cute hehe

also, i think the directors were trying to make otto parallel tywin in that joffrey in the throne scene, but tywin was explicitly trying to get joffrey to be more involved in the council and the two were alone. give it to aegon, let him have his fun in public and manipulate him in private, that is the way. doing dumb shit like that only makes aegon look like a kid and otto like a shameless powergrabbing dude

one thing i appreciate is that aegon has his own court. he has his lads-in-waiting, he has a few ladies following behind, and that’s how a king should be. we always saw the royal kids isolated (joff, tommen, rhaenyra only had alicent) when in reality most important people will have a flock of people accompanying them every day.

now that’s what i’m talking about. larys is all about being subtle, honey trapping his way to power. that’s how the game of thrones is played. while aegon will not agree with him just like that (because larys gives him the oogies), i’m sure he will remember larys’ words.

i also dislike the choice that anyone can just barge in the room, literally they had to make the castle desert instead of blood and cheese waiting for hel in alicent’s rooms. i know someone is going to make the point of ‘why didn’t helaena scream or run?’ and yes partly. guess we had to slander alicent in another way right?

but alas, i am thankful that a prediction of the scene didn’t came true: no children being forcefully stripped. that would’ve sent me over the edge. they implied it but no child actors were harmed in this episode

Hello! Big fan of your Berrywitched! series. Do you perhaps have any tips on drawing/writing Inquiry's personality? I'm trying to both draw and write her and I don't want her to be out of character!❔❤️

Drawing tips (or rather my personal guidelines):

- Her swoopy bangs are a little bit shorter than the other hair curl on the side of her face

-her flyaway hairs are supposed to mimic hearts!

-the bun she wears has no logic or reason, she just kinda threw it together. It’s being held up by pure will power at this point

-she doesn’t have that much of a noticeable chest when she wears her main jacket.

-also I know I never drew her shoes in the game but she probably has black boots of some sort. Pants are pretty a-line!

-don’t forget her eye bags she doesn’t look right without them /j

-the thing on her pants is a pocket that’s supposed to resemble a magnifying glass! Some people got confused with that so might as well add it here

Tips for writing her:

-She’s very tired. All the time. She does not like working when she’s off the clock, but always manages to be dragged into some kind of work anyways.

-she has a soft spot for children, although she has the personal opinion that she’s bad with them.

-she has a sort of x-ray vision ability, but it’s more like a sense when someone is hiding something. She’s able to detect when things are amiss and uses her magic to try and figure out what’s being hidden from her.

-unlocking doors, solving riddles, anything that you could find in an escape room essentially she can do 10x faster than the average person.

-she’s great at using magic to decode/uncover things hidden by magic as well. If something is turned incomprehensible for example by a very powerful spell, they would turn to inquiry to undo it.

-there’s probably more but again it doesn’t really come up much so it’s not super developed.

Events unfold within the walls of a mysterious school. One day, one of the high school students disappeared, and this event is associated with demons. His younger sister Lily wants to find her brother, her investigations led her to this very school, where she will have to become a new student.

A new student who is looking for her brother. Her family are demon hunters, but she doesn't want to hunt them herself. She is learning the art of finding a common language with demonic ones, but so far she only has the art of overtaking and driving them away from herself. The blood color is normal.

One of the few students who is not possessed by demons. She stays alone and hates everyone around her. Especially demons. She has perfectly mastered the art of scaring them away. Hates Penny, but is really just afraid of her. She also loves to create Voodoo dolls. They work, just not on a specific victim. She doesn't like to talk about what happened to her eye. The color of blood is green.

The head of the class and the daughter of the head teacher. Sweet and friendly, but strict. She is suspected of being possessed by demons or having connections with them, but she denies this. In addition, she is possessed by demonic forces and, of course, serves them. He doesn’t know about Lily’s powers and sincerely doesn’t understand why he can’t harm her. The color of blood is pink.

Twin brothers whose parents sponsor this school. They are both possessed by demonic forces, but only recently, so their abilities are undeveloped. Felix knows how to manipulate Ted. They also both have a crush on Cindy. It's also worth noting that Ted has a horizontal pupil. The color of the blood is blue and unnaturally red, respectively.

📚 Jerome 🪀

Nothing is known about his family, except that he has an older brother. He is a smart student, but most of his time is spent in the library reading books or helping the librarian and students. He also has a key to a secret room, which only he and a few other people have the right to visit. Lily is eager to get there, and she assumes that he knows something about her brother. His connection to demons or ability is unknown. The color of blood is gold.

A student who is usually bullied. He can often be seen next to Jerome, who, however, is also not averse to offending him. Other information about him is unknown, including his involvement with demons. The color of the blood is probably silver.

A student who once disappeared. He is Lily's older brother, and when he lived at home, he protected his sister from danger. He's a demon hunter and wanted to teach his sister how to do that. The color of blood is normal.

i'll just keep it simple: basically kaito gets dementia (or i guess the robot equivalent of it??). yeah.

not sure if this takes place on the cusp of v3 happening and just this specific kaito v1 module was unable to be updated for some reason? or if they're all still stuck in v2 and v3 hasn't happened yet/will not happen for a while... but i do know its def before v4 happened, so people like fukase and una don't exist yet

anyways though as you might expect, it pretty much sucks all around for everyone involved. not just the other 5 cryptonloids watching their close friend so previously full of life deteriorate into a husk of his former self, but for kaito himself too. he suddenly can't remember things like where he is or who the people around him are, and its incredibly frustrating b/c he knows he did have the memories at some point, its just as if they got misplaced... there's random bits of recollections that do come sometimes but as much as he tries to hold onto them they flicker and fade away just as quick as they appeared. left sinking back into a feeling of hopelessness that then becomes pure emptiness, as you can feel how you're losing yourself but there's quite literally nothing you can do

visually the static is used to represent a lot of that "foggy" feeling as things become more and more unclear, and given the robot/android nature it makes sense i guess? it's not really seen here but just as an actual machine might be when breaking down, his visual + audio processors begin to malfunction, causing a literal static overlay on his vision with faces/objects he can't recognize occasionally glitching out as well as constant white noise in his hearing and the sound of people talking to him becoming garbled and unintelligible. as time goes on he also loses his own ability to synthesize speech so aside from becoming withdrawn and quiet out of fear he'll say something that makes no sense, he then literally just becomes incapable of responding at all

again (as you might expect), the other cryptons aren't doing very well as this is happening. rin and len see kaito almost like a father, so watching one of your parental figures slowly march towards death is... not great. rin (as seen here) is still trying to hold on, because she swears kaito has had a few good days where he does recall more, where he seems much more like his old self, and maybe, just maybe if they wait a bit more he'll get better [tbh she's speedrunning the 7 stages of grief but goes between being stuck in some of the earlier stages its... not good]. len's grief on the other hand is manifesting itself in a way more similar to meiko's: he's not as distant as her, but he has already recognized that there's pretty much nothing that can be done and just wants to minimize kaito's suffering. len's just as shattered as rin though, but he's not showing it openly, figuring he has to accept it, as fighting against the grief like his sister won't help anything.

i just mentioned meiko so speaking of her: this is also probably extremely difficult on her, as, yknow, the counterpart v1 to kaito. she's withdrawn herself away from kaito, as she doesn't want to cause him pain in case he happens to recognize her, remember something about their relationship, but not comprehend what it means and just become confused/distressed. at least, that's what she says; it's more or so she can't bear to see him in this state, as he slowly loses more parts of himself, so she isolates herself in hopes the pain will be somewhat less when its all over, for having seen him less and not having false hopes of his recovery. that being said though she has definitely still been around him and tried to keep her composure... from kaito's pov, in moments of recollection, its disheartening seeing your wife close friend suddenly ignoring you, almost like she's mad or sad about something, but you can't remember why. did you forget to do the laundry? is it something unrelated? you want to ask her but she won't tell you; why? did she already and you just forgot? why...

miku's usual cheeriness has also crumbled, as even with rin's attempts, she can't find anything to be optimistic about in this scenario. she just feels this immense guilt, that she should've done something about this; she has influence as the most popular of the entire group, surely she could do something to make it all better. but aside from the arguments and indecisiveness regarding ethics and not wanting to do something without everyone's collective decision, she does know deep down its not her fault. maybe someone like one of the technicians or programmers would be more at fault, but she doesn't want to blindly throw accusations either, because surely they hadn't foreseen this happening either; nobody would intentionally throw in such a cruel fate for someone, it was an unfortunate system glitch that they were working to fix, but even if they did come up with a patch for it, it would be far too late for kaito at that point. she doesn't want to dwell too much on the logistics of it, miku just wants to be there for everyone else, because she knows how deep in despair the others are—she is too—and doesn't want their whole group to fall apart after such a devastating event.

as for luka: i would assume we're kind of actually seeing everything from her perspective, so as an audience lens she'd be more objective about presenting everything as it is without putting too much of her own bias/thoughts into it. but she's not completely unfeeling either. she tries interacting with kaito quite often, despite some of the others warning her about doing that too much. she tries talking to him about random things, not necessarily aiming to get him to remember anything in specific, though if any of his memories do surface in conversation she'll def address them and ask if he recalls anything more (and if not that's alright too). on some occasions she's been accused of being insensitive, but she doesn't want his death to be this huge tragedy, she would want him to be somewhat happy in his last moments. after everything that's happened, he deserves to leave in peace, in her opinion.

i've mentioned death a few times and there's a literal gravestone in the original emoji combo so safe to say, yeah, he dies. unfortunately the damage to his hardware is beyond repair from the critical/fatal errors and glitches, and it's decided that it'd be best to ultimately just deactivate him and delete all his files to not prolong any pain he might've been in for any longer. not exactly sure what would happen afterwards (aside from an obvious aftermath of the grief): if this is before/on the verge of v3 happening, there's the situation i thought about of them receiving a new replacement v3 kaito module, which has its own angst w/ it: its almost like seeing a fucking ghost, but it's not the same one they all remember, nor does it have all those memories. and this v3 kaito himself experiencing conflicted feelings as someone who was brought in to try and give back happiness to this group, only to seem to cause more despair for being so similar to someone long gone that he'll never truly replace. again though i'm not sure if i'd actually have that happen for the sake of everyone involved's sanity but it is something interesting to think about

Hey there, I’m having a weird experience and would like to know what it’s possibly called?

So, I have other kintypes and fictionkin identities and they tend to present in a particular way. But now I’m experiencing something in an way that I usually don’t.

There’s a specific character that I will sometimes just start having the speech pattern of and mindset of, unconsciously mimicking behaviors and thought processes of. No memories or deep internal connection/sense of identifying with, just brain goes “ok we’re gonna be like them now”.

Someone might call this kinshift, but it’s not how my kin identities usually present or how kinshifts usually work for me (a lot of my kin identity revolves around false memories/past lives), so I’m not sure. Is there a way to describe things/any terms that would differentiate the phenomenon? I’m sorry if I’m all over the place, I’m now sure how to explain all of this in a way that makes sense.

Hi! That does sound like a shift, yes. Not sure if this is particularly helpful to you or if you've heard it before, but I would personally call it a "mental shift". My own mental shifts are typically not associated with past life memories, just suddenly feeling more like my kintype/having the urge to act like them. A shift being irregular for you doesn't mean it's not a shift! At least, I have no idea what else it could be called.

If you are saying you are having shifts as a character you don't identify as, then that would be a cameo shift! Cameo shifts are just any type of shift (mental, phantom, etc) as a character or nonhuman being that isn't a kintype of yours.

🎵 Kanade would literally threaten everyone if you got injured, but she’d still get you stuff and Kanade would also perform just for you to help you recover quicker.

🎵 Overall, you might fall under some suspicion for the weird stuff that would occur around you. But Kanade really does love your talent and would ask you if she could ride in your car while you practiced.

gensokyo is a big place but i think i think about the human village more often than most locations. It’s been a fun setting for the manga and i’ve for a long time wanted to write a story that’s just a big excuse to dig into my feelings about it but who knows if that’ll ever happen since I haven’t typed up any kind of fic draft in months. 🖊❔

anyhow So Gensokyo is place where youkai from all sorts of old tales can continue to exist, but those tales need to have human characters for the youkai to antagonise, thus the human village exists to provide a consistent supply of that, humans to be fearful of the youkai. That’s like the basic gist in canon.

personally i think what some people don’t realise (or maybe this is just my own perspective...) is that the ‘normal’ humans of Gensokyo aren’t comparable to normal people like us. Much like how youkai can’t exist in the outside world because nobody believes in them, the humans of gensokyo couldn’t exist in the outside world because youkai aren’t real. Does that sentence make ANY sense to anybody other than me? 😗 Their lifestylies are just as reliant on the status quo of the village as any youkai, is what im getting at...

Of course even if Yukari/the sages only intended the village to serve this pragmatic purpose for the sake of the ant(youkai) farm that is Gensokyo, the state of the village has definitely evolved. Even though most humans are consciously aware that youkai are scary, and even though all youkai are aware that humans are their ‘prey’, these days its hardly that clear cut. There are youkai like Sekibanki who live comfortably among humans simply out of preference. Everyone’s aware of the school teacher who is half-hakutaku. The occasional youkai just walking through the village in broad daylight isn’t usually something to bat your eye at (especially if its Kogasa). Humans and youkai, beyond the protagonists, can and do just kinda mingle while still always being aware of their ‘roles’ in Gensokyo, and it works out fine.

But you know there’s that famous rule that was established in forbidden scrollery, about how the village’s humans cant ever *become* youkai, lest the balance of Gensokyo collapse upon itself. A lot of people have intepreted this in different ways and explored it in all sorts of directions, but my take on it has always been that it means humans (or youkai even) shouldn’t ever go beyond the role they play in Gensokyo.

In my mind, a human becoming a youkai isn’t just a matter of growing wings or something. You need a specific mindset where you no longer think like a human or see yourself as one of them. That’s probably what happened to someone like Ichirin (who came to realise she only related to Unzan and none of her ‘fellow humans’) and nearly happened to Kosuzu (maybe because she didn’t realise being a weirdo wasn’t exclusive to youkai?). And in my opinion, I don’t think Marisa could ever become a youkai because at the end of the day, her perspective is purely that of a human who rises to be an equal to the youkai, beings whom she will always see as something inherently different from herself.

because to boil down gensokyo even further, the role of youkai (and gods) is to be something larger than humans, and the humans role is to see youkai and gods as something other. You a human of the village can fear them or admire them or even love them, as long as you never forget what makes them special, or as long as you don’t start thinking of yourself as something ‘different’ from human.

While I know that Sanada is a prisioner (I hope i am getting these names correct) the thought of the 2 guards just being the Kei brothers sounds funny. Sanada wouldn't even think the prisoners deserve innocence, he's just arguing that to piss his brother off.

(just a little correction: i write my characters' names in a way that japanese names are usually written, so like, "(last name) (first name)" and i call them by their first names, so sanada is actually kei and eiji's last name! don't worry about it though, i just wanted to point that out!)

i can definitely imagine kei trying to protect the prisoners just to see how angry eiji will get 😭 though i think he also would be that type of guard who just votes someone innocent if he finds them attractive enough so he's not that different from some milgram fans shjsjsksk or maybe he can vote them innocent just because he thinks it would be funny.

arguing with him would be very hard too, because if eiji actually tries to explain why he thinks someone should be voted guilty, kei would just go "but they're cute though :(" or "and they looked cool while killing that person"

Lore: To outsiders, Dr. A. P. Aery is a mysterious wandering salesman. I’m reality, he’s a sort of wooden golem full of bees; a walking-talking hive hailing from ancient Egypt who has been producing ‘Sweet Bod’ for a very long time. Why? Nobody’s entirely sure. He seems to genuinely want to cure disease, but his fixation on this singular method raises some questions.

Dr. A has a bunch of underground storage areas around the world where he keeps the various ‘sweet bods’ while they mature. These range from catacombs to crypts to old bunkers to even a straight up coffin or two. He generally refers to the bods in a manner akin to a winemaker; he keeps track of the year the process began, the types of flora that provided the honey and the information of the deceased donor. Individual batches have the “vintage” and the donor’s name on the label. 

He’s actually a pretty competent physician and is genuinely polite and professional to his patients. He’s not entirely what one would call ‘morally sound’ but it’s worth noting that the process of creating a Sweet Bod requires the explicit consent of the donor because the process begins before death. 

Dr. A is very particular about this process and refuses to change it for any reason. 

Dr A’s bees are their own unique species not found anywhere else, much to the confusion of entomologists who happen across them.

Dr A names each of his queens. The current one is named Drusilla.

His hive has been around for thousands of generations and he takes care of all their needs, carrying them to locations that provide nectar, warmth and genetic diversity at all times of the year.

In turn, his bees help him with various tasks including verbal communication; the drones of his colony are specially equipped to produce various frequencies that mimic speech by vibrating their wings. It works impressively well, though his voice does come out sounding a little buzzy.

Speaking of, while he does speak to communicate, his movement and body language tends to be very jaunty and affectated, reminiscent of the wiggly dance language of his bees. 

Carries a cane that is actually the pole of a shovel. When he needs to dig up his product, he simply reattaches the blade to the end. 

Absolutely mortified by the rumours surrounding him as he has 0 interest in sexual activity whatsoever. He just happens to be really, really unfortunate when it comes to accidental innuendo. His general smooth demeanour doesn’t help matters either.

Extremely persuasive speaker until he gets embarrassed, at which point he gets tongue tied.

Occasionally prays to the Egyptian goddess Serket.

He seems to spend the money he makes on more supplies for Sweet Bod, but that doesn’t quite account for all of it. Nobody knows what he does with the rest.

He is 5’6” and his weight fluctuates based on how much honey he’s carrying at any given time.

His hands are the primary exit port for said honey store, so he keeps an extra pair of gloves on him at all times in case the first pair gets sticky 

He tends to use a variety of slang from different eras, even in the same sentence, and generally uses somewhat antiquated manners and processes.

you see it's either that or they try to act like white lily was always some great evil as if like... big events in peoples lives (such as literally being dropped into a fucking vat of magic shit while learning that your entire reality was a lie and you were made to be eaten) change people and their outlook on lives ❔

when it comes to de/white lily and their whole deal, i often think a lot about what de's english voice actor had to say in this video (2:17) and tbh it's good insight on the character and how she's literally shaped by trauma (and how that in itself can sometimes change people for the worst, as difficult as that can be to admit). while dark enchantress seperates herself from white lily in a sense, at the end of the day, she's still a part of her and still very much talks about things white lily has experienced in the first person. its not Uncommon for someone to seperate themselves from their pre-trauma state and when you look at the shit that made de what she is today... yeah, it makes sense that she acts the way that she does about the whole thing. LOL.

and it's... complicated! that's the best way i can put things. white lily wasn't always a bad malicious person, dark enchantress isn't a completely seperate entity from white lily simply using her body, it just turns out Being Put In The Goo Fucks You Up Really Bad (for more reasons than one!)

❔ - i figured out i was starlo kin cause of. well its a really long story BUT the short of it is i finished playing undertale yellow and he was my favorite and my friends started joking about killing him in their runs to give me psychic damage and it made me feel personally attacked for some indescribable reason and i ended up ranting about it hours after they had stopped and then they were like "hey you might be fictionkin" and i was like "oh that would. make so much sense." and then that night as i was falling asleep i re-experienced a memory of the part of the pacifist route where ceroba flung me against the wall so hard that i passed out when i was trying to stop her from fighting clover. and that basically solidified it for me.

🤝 - uhhhh mostly just neurodivergent if im gonna be honest. so mental/psychological i think?? i dunno, im still very new to this stuff. i talk about it like it is a past life even though i dont believe in past lives, and im pretty sure its just because i am extremely neurodivergent that i kin starlo.

👕 - COWBOYS!!!!!!!! i get so much happiness from wearing the blue scarf i crocheted recently cause it reminds me of my blue bandana i wore! also overalls any generally any farm-like clothing. makes me so happy and like i am in the right body :D

💥 - magic, like every monster!!! it feels so incredibly weird to not have magic and not be able to summon a magic floating gun wherever i want or to just sit still and summon a small, harmless bullet to juggle around in my hands when i get bored.

🔮 - not really cause i didnt kin starlo until after i completed the pacifist route, and any other memory i got came after i finished that route, unfortunately. unless in canon i was in fact transmasc. if it gets confirmed that i was transmasc in canon then that would be one thing cause the game is so new that i wouldnt be surprised if anything new gets confirmed about me lol.

👥 - yes!!!!!!!!!!! i have several sourcemates and i have one canonmate!!! my beloved friend @yellowclovers who found out he was clover kin literally minutes after i found out i was starlo kin. and then turns out we end up having memories that line up with each other. cause he remembers having awoken after the ut pacifist route and when going out to search for one of their friends, they found out via martlet that i had died and that ceroba was also still dead. which lines up with my memories cause i come from flawed pacifist in which i died not long after wishing clover good riddance. we are still very good friends though and i forgive him for everything now that i played the game myself and understand the pressure they were put under. it wasnt really their fault, after all, as much as it sucked.

i would also love more canonmates,,,,, especially a canonmate ceroba. i know a fictionkin ceroba but she does have enough memories for me to confirm if shes a canonmate or simply a sourcemate. though i suppose it would be bad to wish to have a canonmate ceroba because she literally died in my canon so i mean.
