Wherever Ellie had fallen asleep this time was very uncomfortable, like she had fallen asleep on a cold metal table or something. The table was so cold she wished she was wearing her jacket and why did her torso itch.
Wait a second, where was her jacket. Did somebody steal her jacket off her while she slept. Ellie knew she was a deep sleeper, you had to be with Dad Vlad’s snoring.
She had gone to sleep with her jacket on hadn’t she?
Why couldn’t Ellie remember going to sleep?
What was the last thing she remembered?
Oh yeah, that guy was beating up some lady in the alley. Ellie tried to stop him, even with her powers on the fritz after that lucky shot from one of the Goobers in White.
Vlad would probably blame Jack for her tendency to rush in without thinking and then turn around and raise Maddie for being the source of her selfless nature. How her dad Vlad could be so blind to Maddie’s particular brand of crazy she didn’t know, but then again Danny didn’t notice either.
Any way. Ellie remembered confronting the jerk in the alley and telling him to let the lady go, then she got a really bad headache.
Next thing she knew Ellie had woken up on a cold metal table without her jacket. Had that jerk stolen her clothes. Now that she thought about it her legs were cold too.
Okay, her jacket she could see someone desperate stealing but her pants? Only those pedo guys the other street kids told her about would steal her pants. Yeah she had to get out of here
Oww.
Who the hell made the ceiling so low. Now her head was hurting again and why was her chest itchy any way.
… where was her shirt?
Why where their metal bits in her chest?
Are those staples?
What the fuck was going on?!
….
Barry was reading over Jane Does case file as he walked to the morgue
Name: Jane Doe
Sex: Female
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Race: Caucasian
Age: 10-14
COD: blunt force trauma to the head
Additional notes: signs of malnutrition, healed defensive injuries (street kid?)
Personal effects: 1 broken cell phone
Status: Meta
Additional notes: the victim does not seem to possess internal organs. All innards seem to be made of an unknown slightly caustic green goop
Barry would need more samples of the goop, who knows perhaps it could point to her killer.
Wait what was that banging sound?
Short DPXDC Prompts #963
Barry’s most recent case at work is a deceased 12 year old female who recently got promoted from murder victim to meta murder victim. The strangest part was her autopsy report. She had no abdominal cavities. “It’s all green goo” isn’t a very professional verdict but looking at the photos of the examination does indeed show that below her skin is just a glowing green sludge. It’s as if her skin was a shell to hold this substance inside. Forensics is stumped. There isn’t a case study that’s even close to the subject of a meta with no organs. He wishes he could ask the girl herself how this happened but well, she’s dead.

𝓨𝓸𝓾’𝓿𝓮 𝓒𝓪𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓐 𝓢𝓽𝓻𝓪𝔂
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Summary: Moving to a new place is always a tough time, but the knowing you have a mysterious neighbor doesn’t exactly help.
Warnings: None?
[📞 Series Masterlist 📞]
𝙃𝙤𝙚
“On Friday, April 4th, three helicarriers from the US government affiliated organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. fell into the Potomac River in Washington, DC. This occurred only thirty minutes after many previously confidential government, S.H.I.E.L.D., and HYDRA documents were leaked onto the internet. With us today we have Mr. Ed Brubaker here to talk more on HYDRA and how…”
It was like the same news story had been playing for the last week.
Your family had immediately urged you to move somewhere else, somewhere safer. You intended to move anyway, but their persistence was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
And so, you packed up your shit and moved.
You were an artist, so there was plenty to pack. You were only partially concerned over your financial situation—most of your art was bought online, so as long as you could mail things, it would be okay.
And, if worst comes to worst, you could always get a job at like, a sandwich shop or something.
“That over there is the barn. Concrete floor, sturdy walls, perfect for tractors and other vehicles and machinery. Right in front of it is the garage—four wheelers and whatever else is good in there. Here’s your main house. All one floor. Four bedrooms.” Mike said as he walked you up the porch to the sliding glass door.
He led you inside the house. “Master bedroom down the hall, master bathroom connected to it. These are your two living rooms, this one has a television. Back room’s got the laundry machines, and plenty of storage. It’s also got the big freezer. One of your bedrooms is connected to it.” Mike explained. “Nearest neighbor is two fields away—nobody but old folks like me live up here. ‘Cept for Mr. Blackwood, I believe. Though, I have no idea how old that gentleman is, I never seen him ‘round here when I was gettin’ this place here ready.” He pondered.
“Mr. Blackwood?” You echoed.
“Yeah. Chris or Charles or Chase or somethin’ like that. Never hear about him in town, didn’t even know he lived in that there house until recently. Either way, there’s the thin tree line separating you.”
“Right,” you nodded. “You are amazing. The place looks great.” You said to the man who’d sold you the house.
“I do my best, ma’am. The pantry’s fully stocked. You asked for fully furnished, and I planned to deliver.”
“You really did—this is absolutely perfect.” You would admit that the way you’d gotten this place on such short notice was a little shady, but you weren’t going to complain.
“Why, thank you.” He smiled. “Radio’s in the master bedroom. WiFi and internet aren’t the greatest back here—always plan like you won’t have it. Power can get rocky during storms, so always make sure you know where your radio is jus’ in case.”
“Right. Got it.”
Mike left a little later, and you got to bringing in boxes. You put the boxes in their designated rooms before beginning to unpack the necessities first. Things like clothes and stuff.
You wondered about Mr. Blackwood. He was your only neighbor for literal miles, so you had to wonder what he was like. Was he old, like Mike had said? Was he around your age, or maybe somewhere in between? Was he nice? Or would he be annoying?
You had other things to think about. Besides, this wasn’t the most important thing at the moment. You got back to unpacking.
The Captain walked through the halls, the sound of his shoes against the floor audibly telling the world that he means business. His blonde hair was slightly messy, as if he’d just been on a mission. His brows were furrowed, his fists clenched at his sides. A woman with red hair rushed to match his pace. She looked equally concerned, but more for him than whatever he was focused on.
The Spy reached out, attempting to put her hand on his shoulder. He paused to let her do so.
“It wasn’t your fault,” she told him. “You thought he was there so you followed your lead. You made all the right calls.” She attempted to soothe him.
“He wasn’t even there. All that time we could’ve been finding him and I was too busy leading everybody the wrong way.” The Captain frowned.
“It’s okay,” she hummed. “We’ll find your guy. We will.”
The Captain nodded as the Spy gently cupped his face.
“Besides,” she said after a moment. “There’s always one person we can ask for help.”
The Captain gave her an unsteady look, one of pure displeasure. Whoever the other person was, the Captain was not fond of him.
A/n: it’s been a long time coming, huh?

Thinking about the “Usopp loves Darkwing Duck and Sanji loves Card Captor Sakura” thing from ages ago and now I’m imagining them going trough the hardest challenge a weeabo and a western animation geek can go trough: moving in together.
All the merchandise, the prints, the commissions they gave years ago and the buttons from various cons, it’s an actual nightmare for both of them to somehow try and find space for everything. Sanji hates Funko Pops with a passion, Usopp loves them. Sanji has a giant body pillow of some random anime girl and Usopp feels inadequate. The biggest issue however arrives when they try and decide where Sanjis collection of ero figurines is supposed to go. Sorry not sorry but you KNOW he has some of them. It’s actually not as bad as Usopp expected at first but it’s still a challenge to find a place for them because Usopp does NOT want them in the bedroom like Sanji used to have in his bachelor pad
They actually get into a heated argument at one point while they are running on coffee and lack of sleep. “OH YES IT WAS SOOOOO IMPORTANT TO YOU TO HAVE A SPACE FOR YOUR CRAFTS BUT NOOOO DONT LET YOUR BOYFRIEND HAVE SPACE FOR HIS STUFF AT ALL!” “FUNNY YOU SAY THAT, BECAUSE IM NOT THE ONE FLIPPING OUT BECAUSE I JUST NEED MY BIG TITTED CATGIRL FIGURINE TO LUST OVER IN THE HALLWAY FOR EVERYONE TO SEE!” “*GASP* DONT TALK ABOUT HIBIKI-CHAN LIKE THAT!!”
They don’t talk to each other for what feels like ages (Twi hours maximum) and they finally make up when the guilt gets too much. They both compromise on each selling a few of the things they aren’t as invested in, Sanji agrees to move a few of his more risqué figures to a space where he gets to see them but they can easily be hidden if visitors come over, some of the more decent ones like the pinup one of a lady in the bathtub actually are tame enough to be put in a more open spot even Usopp has to admit (plus her sitting on the bathroom shelf surrounded by both of their soaps and haircare products looks quite cute actually). Usopp keeps most of the Funkos on his work desk at Sanjis request. It’s the nerdiest home ever with some clashing aesthetics but they make it work trough the power of love and because both of them are creative people who can incorporate that into their home space.
… also Usopp has started a game where he will just randomly replace his boyfriends figurines and wait for his boyfriend to notice. Like elf on the shelf but more elaborate and with anime or cartoon figurines. Currently Sakura is being carried away by a bunch of Pikmins in the shoe closet. Sanji has noticed she’s gone but hasn’t said anything because that’s not how the game works. He’s supposed to find her and then yell “GODDAMNIT SAKURA!” Before carrying her back to her spot…. He’s already planning his move though and has decided he’s gonna try and put Grunkle Stan in a glass of water in the freezer with a single lone ice Pikmin guarding him.
This is the realest, most accurate thing in the whole world. They'd move in together but they'd be a mess. They have... Very different tastes when it comes to games/shows and they obviously can't decide what to do with the space they have.
But! They also have things in common. The thing is... They like the content in different ways.
Usopp has a huge Alphonse figure. Beautiful. Next to his Gurren Lagann figurines and so, so many robots. So many mechas. He has the three Gravity Falls diaries. All the Ducktales comics. Darkwing Duck was just the start because he's also a huge DC fan and has so much Batman merch. He's got this extremely awesome replica of Junpei's sword from P3. Everything is high quality and he's very, very careful with his merch. He has his own fanarts in a sketchbook and nobody is allowed to touch his games and his consoles. From Play Station to all types of Nintendos. He has so many damn Funko Pops of everything. Typical "For the last time, Sanji, I keep them inside the box because the box is also part of the merch what aren't you understanding-". Not to mention that he's a huge Lord of The Rings fan and he definitely plays D&D and he's also a botanist so you can only imagine how their house looks like-- So many plants-- Forest aesthetic. Except their front door that looks exactly like the Tardis because Usopp was dying to do that ever since he was a kid, and when he showed Sanji the show he fell in love with it and let him do it.
Sanji likes the same stuff but he has a very explicit Lust figure. Next to his adorable Nia and Yoko figurines and so so so so so many cute simple merch. Like keychains and stickers. I am 100% sure Sanji has Gravity Falls pajamas and Ducktales too that nobody but Usopp knows about. I think one of the only man figurines he has is a Starlord one and maybe Shazam merch, but he's more of a Superman type of guy. He saw Lois Lane and fell in love with her instantly. He has a Mitsuru figurine riding her bike and one of Chidori and Junpei he doesn't let anybody touch. That's precious to him. He asks Usopp to draw him stuff and that's why Usopp is always late to his commissions because his boyfriend suddenly wants to be drawn next to Senshi cooking. Sanji doesn't like Funkos but he does like Nendoroids and Usopp hates it because they're so fucking expensive and Sanji is always crying in the background ("But- But-" / "Sanji, we've talked about this-" / "But this little Miku is so cute!"). Sanji also plays videogames but he's more of an Animal Crossing/Cooking Mama/Stardew Valley type of guy. So many Dating Sims, too. Also the Sims, he loves that.
Their bookshelf is a mix between shoujos and so so many shonens but mostly cooking books and artbooks. So many DC comics too. I feel like both of them prefer DC tbh, Usopp is just Batman and Sanji likes Superman and instead of fighting about it they just admit they're really gay for each other. They do watch Marvel movies, though. Sanji really, really, really likes Spider-man and it's funny because he has arachnophobia and he cannot watch the damn movies without shaking when a spider shows up-- Usopp has Miles' jacket and Nikes I am so so sure. While Sanji probably has a Gwen poster in his room.
They argue a lot when it comes to how to use the space they have but!! Sometimes Sanji walks out of their room to make breakfast with Usopp's Batman t-shirt. And sometimes Usopp uses Sanji's Kero themed hair ties to tie his hair. And... They wouldn't change that for anything in the world.
They're also the type to watch/play anything together and go "Hey they're just like us fr" so now they have their house full of ship merch because those ships remind them of them,,, Those are the true romantic gestures.
Edit: Forgot to say Sanji has all of Taylor Swift's CDs and Vinyls and he's a very intense swiftie that makes Usopp wake up at ungodly hours to hear the new albums, while Usopp is like "I guess she's okay??? She's alright idk" because he literally only listens to movie/game soundtracks, indie shit and Cavetown. They both listen to Vocaloid though that is true. I was there. Project Sekai players that's what they are (Sanji does it for the cute girls but ends up staying because the characters are a bit too relatable and Usopp just really likes rhythm games)
#okay but i want to live in their house :(#i was projecting the whole time lmao i love all of this i want to live there let me in let me in#modern sanuso is my fav thing they wouldn't stop arguing about these things#everyone in sanji's restaurant: omg he's so mysterious and cool the chef is so cute i am sure he's got a very nice place#sanji when he comes back home: MY DEAREST LOOK I BOUGHT THIS 7000€ HATSUNE MIKU OFFICIAL FIGURINE NOW WE WON'T EAT FOR A WEEK BUT IT'S OKAY#i wholeheartedly believe he cannot be trusted around money when it comes to fictional pretty girls#usopp is the same bc you give him the chance to buy an official artbook and he spends all of his money on that#one piece#black leg sanji#usopp#sanuso

Something I appreciate from Detective Conan is how (at least so far) it has consistently exposed moral messages about how, no matter the circumstances, killing is wrong and that once you take a life you can't take it back.
I think about that case involving Mouri with his old workmates in a hot springs and how he dismisses the explanations of the killer by saying that he doesn't care about what a murderer has to say. It's probably one of the scenes I remember the most.
I recently watched episodes 219-220 (the case where Heiji's mother is revealed) and she gave a more detailed monologue to the murderer about precisely how unretrievable a life taken is.
It might seen a dumb or naive message but I think it's honestly quite powerful. First of all, it's pretty rare for shonen manga to stop for a moment and consider that maybe killing is bad no matter the circumstances. Probably the closest thing I can think of is Goku refusing to kill Freezer on Namek (and it's more out of mercy than morals) and early Rurouni Kenshin.
Second, DC is anything but a manga/anime that is shy in showing blood or murder. Not only that, but in some cases they even give room for the killer to explain their motivations and some of them actually make sense, heck, some of them even make you think that you know maybe they were justified in recurring to murder. I love that. I like when a manga doesn't treat you like a kid and actually allows you to think.
Then the manga reminds you that it's a wrong thing to do by many means. Whether it's Mouri's outright rejection of the explanations, a sermon, the killer showing regret, the overall depressing atmosphere after Conan's exposing, etc.

Might draw something soon…
So I’m thinking of an AU similar to the Crisis On Two Earths movie, which basically just means I’m stealing the good Lex and Joker and changing them a bit, and adding some of the other villains for good measure.
Lex, in addition to being a hero instead of a villain, has Superman’s powers, so in his universe he fell from space and Clark Kent is a corrupt businessman. He’s also maybe a little Autistic and he has a newton’s cradle on his desk.
Jester is Joker’s counterpart and in his daily life he washes off his face paint and goes by Jack Napier despite the huge scars at the sides of his mouth. He’s great with kids and he knows how to blow balloon animals and juggle, and he likes cards and dice. He gets cold easily. He’s married to Harley, who in this AU still goes by Harleen. She probably hyphenated their names.
I can’t do anything DC without Mr. Freeze. In this AU, Nora died and the only reason Victor is a hero is because he thinks it’s what she would want and she’d be proud of him. And also because if he’s left alone with his thoughts for more than five minutes, he’ll kill everyone in the room and then himself. Jester loves to tinker, so he’s created Victor a fancy suit that allows him to use his powers without a gun. He also has diving versions since he loves to swim. His bedroom is a walk-in freezer.

🌤 Share your favorite piece of dialogue from your WIP.
From Chapter 3 of Labour Of Love, aka when Una is meant to be getting into the limo, but Harry, having been sent by Uma to give Una something upon learning of why Ursula took Una out of the shop with her, pulled her aside:
Una stared then at the item in his hand- it was a knife, sure- but it wasn't just any knife: it was one of Uma's favourite knifes, with its dark blue handle and its cleaned silver dagger part, Uma always let Una hold it- and Una stared as she held it now, as she gawked at Harry then, who shrugged simply, "Just keep it on you" he advised, "May never know when you need to deal with a fight in Auradon.....or a traitorous dragon" at this Una smirked and nodded, pocketing the knife carefully into her jacket then. That was when they heard Ursula shouting then for Una. Una shook her head before she signed to Harry then, "Take care of Uma- she'll deny it, but she needs it" Harry nodded, but then Una smirked as she signed an addition, "Oh, and tell Uma Maleficent cant open a fridge freezer off all things just to get a spell book....that she stores in the fridge like a sane person" Harry at this, laughed his head off, before he bowed to Una and then, just like a shadow, disappeared, and Una sighed sadly before she left the alley way and quickly dived into the limo before Mal.
☔ Is there a fic concept you have that you’d like to just explain and share because you’re not sure you’ll ever write it? If so, what is it?
Honestly? I have a-lot of those, really, but if I was to pick one that I'd love to actually write one day, it'd be my New Titans fanfic, aka my semi-next gen on Teen Titans where I literally have the plot of the first arc/season figured out and even got an idea involving Talon and Sparrow/Primrose Davis, but for some reason I can't seem to be able to write it??? Like its a struggle with all my DC/Marvel fic ideas really, but think this one bugs me cause I have stuff figured out a lil and have ideas, but writing it is a whole other issue.
🌧️ Share something angsty from your WIP.
...Again, just one??? I shall continue to avoid Ninja's Unite for this one (you all would actually be concerned if I posted a snippet of that), and instead, go for Power Rangers The New Samurai, aka Chapter 5 where Reese has a nightmare after having had passed out the chapter prior after the failed fight with the Ice Nighlok:
There were too many voices, they were all talking at once. She wanted mama- where was mama- mama was supposed to come back last night from her night out with papa- There was that shiny box being lowered into the ground, dirt being thrown over it- but she didn't get why everyone was crying, why was papa looking like he was just barley keeping it together with Uncle Ji, where was mama- Papa puts his hand on her shoulder then, turning her away from the shiny box being slowly covered up with dirt, and she looks at him with curious brown eyes that look out of place in the land of graves, "Where is mama? Is she still out?" But papa doesn't respond, his grip on her shoulder just gets worser until its hurting and she feels like shes choking, "Papa-" but that's when her papa's brown eyes turn red, and the choking in her throat was stopping her from screaming as all the voices get worser then, speaking of mama and suddenly her- No, this was wrong- this wasn't how it happened, but everything felt too real, papa was hurting her, she couldn't breath anymore-
#oc ask games#ask games#emoji wip ask games#...actually that nightmare probably makes anyone concerned about my writing#i swear y'all im too good with angst

This will sound very silly, but you want a camping store. One catered to RV campers, not hikers.
You want camping appliances.
For example, a camping fridge is one designed to run off DC rather than AC electricity. What that means: you can plug them directly into a solar panel and off they go.
They have no bells, no whistles, but they get cold as fuck with little effort and they're so simple that you can do all the repairs yourself. Often, the camp store guy will just tell you what panel to remove over the phone and all the wires are clearly labelled for easy replacement because it's designed to go in an off-road vehicle, so extensive damage and repair is expected.
You can also sometimes find propane powered fridges, but I find them unreliable.
Um.
I like this one.
Good luck!

Conquering the Elements: A Guide to 4x4 Fridges
For the adventurous soul, venturing off-road with your trusty 4x4 opens a world of possibilities. But keeping your provisions fresh and drinks ice-cold on such expeditions can be a challenge. Enter the 4x4 fridge slide, a hero in disguise for any off-road adventure.
What is a 4x4 Fridge?
Unlike your standard kitchen refrigerator, a 4x4 fridge is a portable powerhouse designed specifically for the demands of off-road travel. Built with ruggedness in mind, these fridges can withstand bumps, vibrations, and extreme temperatures – perfect for traversing rough terrain and keeping your food and drinks at optimal temperatures.
Key Features of a 4x4 Fridge:
Durability: Constructed with heavy-duty materials like stainless steel and high-density plastic, 4x4 fridges are built to endure the rigors of off-road travel.
Efficiency: These fridges are designed for low power consumption, ensuring they don't drain your vehicle's battery on long journeys. Many 4wd rear drawers models come with dual power options, allowing you to connect them to your car's DC outlet or a household AC outlet.
Temperature Control: Advanced compressor technology allows you to precisely control the temperature inside the fridge, transforming it into a freezer or keeping things cool depending on your needs.
Capacity: 4x4 fridges come in a variety of sizes, from compact units ideal for day trips to larger models that can hold enough food and drinks for extended adventures.
Portability: Designed for easy transport, most 4x4 fridges are lightweight and have handles or tie-down points for secure placement in your vehicle.
Benefits of Owning a 4x4 Fridge:
Freshness on the Go: No more relying on coolers filled with melting ice. A 4x4 fridge ensures your food stays fresh and safe to consume, even on extended off-road trips.
Frozen Treats: Imagine enjoying refreshing ice-cold drinks or even frozen treats on a scorching off-road adventure. With a 4x4 fridge slide with a freezer function, that dream becomes reality.
Versatility: These fridges aren't limited to off-roading. They're perfect for camping trips, road trips, picnics, fishing expeditions, and even tailgating parties.
Choosing the Right 4x4 Fridge:
With a variety of 4x4 fridges available, selecting the right one depends on your specific needs. Here are some factors to consider:
Capacity: Think about the amount of food and drinks you typically need for your off-road adventures.
Power Source: Do you plan to primarily use the 4x4 rear drawers with your vehicle's DC outlet, or will you need the flexibility of an AC outlet connection as well?
Features: Consider features like dual-zone temperature control (allowing for separate fridge and freezer compartments), digital displays for temperature monitoring, and LED lighting for easy access in low-light conditions.
Durability: Opt for a fridge built with high-quality materials and a reputation for withstanding tough conditions.
Caring for Your 4x4 Fridge:
Regular Cleaning: Maintain proper hygiene by regularly cleaning the interior of your fridge to prevent mould and bacteria growth.
Proper Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the fridge, especially when using it in a confined space like your vehicle.
Safe Storage: When not in use, store your fridge in a cool, dry place with the lid slightly open to prevent moisture build-up.
Final Words
Investing in a 4x4 fridge slide is an investment in your off-road adventures. With its durability, efficiency, and ability to keep your food and drinks fresh, it becomes an essential companion for conquering the elements and making the most of your off-road experience.

Winter Refit 2023-2024
This winter was spent in the water because we plan to be out of the water in the summer for a big job, but more on that below.
The tasks and improvements we did during this winter's refit were:
New Deck
When we bought Skyran we knew the original teak deck was nearing the end of its life. We wanted to replace it before any leaks developed causing bigger problems. So we made the commitment this year. The deck was templated in the autumn and, over the winter, a new deck was made for us This is to be professionally installed in a boatyard for us in early summer 2024. We decided to replace with a 'fake' teak to ease the maintenance burden in future years.

Removable Inner Forestay
Our mast is fitted for a cutter-rig. We decided some time ago to make use of this and install a halyard, stay and running backstays to make possible the use of a staysail and storm-staysail. This is because our headsail is a large overlapping genoa at present, challenging to handle in a big blow and obviously not the best shape when deeply reefed. For flexibility, we decided to make the inner stay removable. But first it was necessary to install a chain-plate to handle the structural loading. Having designed this and had it manufactured, we installed it in early 2024. We installed the inner stay and running backstays in late March. Very pleased with the results.

Electric Bilge Pumps
We completely replaced and upgraded the arrangements. We installed a new Whale gulper pump in the engine space, and a high-capacity Jabsco impeller pump for the main bilge. Both have solid-state level and alarm switches and completely independent power supplies and control switches with all new wiring. We created a neat new bilge pumps control panel too, and replaced quite a lot of the old hoses.
Water Meter
We installed a new meter, which is of the flow counting type. This is much more accurate than a tank level sensor that tells us exactly how many litres we have used. We measured the tanks using another flow counting meter so we know their exact capacity. The new water meter shows how many litres remain aboard, which is very handy indeed.

New Spray Hood & Canopy
We had replacements made for these. We will keep the older one for winters.

Electrical Improvements
We made a lot of improvements to the 12V DC system. Too many to list in detail, but the main items were:
Re-wired fridge and freezer systems, including relays. And fixed shore power supply to freezer.
Replaced choc-box terminals behind DC distribution panel with ring-screw terminals.
Re-designed and replaced un-switched distribution system, including fitting a Blue Sea Systems safety hub to remove multiple connections to the service batteries.
Installed marine rated battery fuses to protect cabling from service battery (there was no fusing before!). And installed fusing to other principal cables.
Removed and/or replaced many, many cables. All replacements made with tinned copper cabling.
Replaced gas alarm and sensors.
Installed WiFi router to broadcast navigation system data to mobile devices and computers.
Installed new 240V sockets adjacent to galley (for toaster and coffee machine :)
Miscellanious
We replaced the headsail furler line, with a larger diameter dyneema one to guard against failure when reefing in heavy weather.
We serviced the engine
We ordered wheels for the dinghy, to make it easier to haul it up slipways and beaches.

Anthony's Stupid Daily Blog (709): Sat 24th Feb 2024
I got up early to see if my calf was feeling any better but I still struggled to put weight on it so I called in sick again. I hate having to call in sick but I can't deny it was nice being able to sleep in for another day instead of pulling carts from one end of the warehouse to another. I suspect with the growing emergence of AI then shortly employers will be able to access the microchips in their worker's brain and download content into their dreams so that even when they're off sick they can be forced into dreaming about doing their work.
Today was Mam’s birthday and my sister brought Luna over to celebrate. Mam was out shopping when they came so Luna got the idea to get her toy cash register out and get me to pretend to be a checkout clerk as she brought carts full of her toy food items to me. After I scanned all the items I told her the amount she needed to pay and gave her the card reader, telling her to enter her pin number and she comically pressed dozens of numbers even though I told her it was only four and I pretended to be infuriated with her. Mam finally arrived and Luna presented her with her cake while singing Happy Birthday (Can we be sued for saying that we sang happy birthday without written permission from the cunt who owns it?) and she even helped Mam blow out her candles. It really sucks that I don't get to see my little princess once a week for our playday any more thanks to her starting at stupid school. I suppose it's good that she's making friends her own age who are arguably much more mature than I am but I would still like to see her more often.
I saw that tickets for AC/DC we’re going for about £120 on Viagogo which are a fuck lot cheaper than they were originally going for when they were initially selling on Ticketmaster so I decided to stick one in my basket and go for it but then the bastards hit you with the £50 service charge! I don't know exactly what the service is since when I selected my ticket it was £120 and when I clicked continue it took me to another page which said I needed to pay £170 so it appears that the "service" they deem to be worth £50 is navigating from one page to another and if this is the case I owe a lot of other websites a LOT of money because I do that literally every day. As much as I hate myself for this (and in general) I took the plunge and bought one. The rational part of my brain was telling me that it was extortionate and I already have expensive stuff I need to save up for this year but luckily the fun part of my brain is much louder than the rational side and started drowning it out by playing the opening of Thunderstruck which I took as a sign to buy the ticket and I can't deny that I'm glad I did. Another legendary band to add to my expansive list of gigs and if the service charge Viagogo whacked on top of the ticket price is paying for electricity to power the freezer that’s they’re keeping Angus Young alive with then I'm fine with that
