LAHORE, Aug. 12:
           Koh-e-Suleman's headquarter will be made functional this year and the cadet college project at hill station Fort Munro will be completed early to provide the best educational facility to the students.
           Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar stated this while talking to tribal elders in Barthi area of DG Khan who handed over their applications to him and informed him about the problems.  
           While issuing directions for the solution of public problems, the CM repeated that he knows the public problems as he is a custodian of the people living in remote and far-flung areas of the province. The development journey has been kick-started which will be moved forward at an accelerated pace; he added and announced to connect Choki Wala with Balochistan through a road link to reduce the distance upto 120 KM. Meanwhile, the cement factory and industrial estate will provide new job opportunities to the locals and Fazilka Kach and other areas of Koh-e-Suleman will be provided electricity through a solar grid station to be set up at Barthi, the CM said.
           The CM hoped the Sorra dam will revolutionize the agrarian economy while health and education centres’ upgradation will ease the access of locals to such vital facilities. The development schemes will be strictly monitored to ensure transparency and quality, the CM concluded.

CM TAKES AERIAL VIEW OF SORRA DAM SITE IN KOH-E-SULEMAN
LAHORE, Aug. 12:
           Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar took an aerial view of the Sorra dam site in the Koh-e-Suleman area of DG Khan. SMBR and other officials accompanied him.
           The irrigation secretary briefed him about the project which will be completed with a cost of Rs. 5 billion to promote cultivation in Taunsa and tribal areas by providing ample water for irrigation.
        In a statement, the CM said the government has approved the project to store hill torrents' water adding that dams are planned to utilise this water for agricultural purposes in DG Khan and Rajanpur. The foundation stone of the Sorra dam will be laid soon as a feasibility study was being conducted to construct more dams for storing hill torrents' water. This will also save the people of losses resulting due to flash floods, he added.
           The past rulers compounded the miseries of deprived areas instead of healing the wounds of the hapless people, he regretted. They also wasted resources on exhibitory projects and ignored the real needs of the people, he added.

           Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar was briefed about the law and order situation, administrative matters and pace of work on development schemes at a meeting held at Multan airport lounge on Thursday. SMBR, secretary irrigation, Multan commissioner, RPO, DC, DPO and other officials attended the meeting.
           The CM reviewed the law and order situation with regard to Muharram and directed the administration and police to remain fully watchful to maintain law and order. Similarly, ongoing development schemes should be completed in time while ensuring transparency and quality of work, the CM added and vowed that deprivations of the people of Multan will be removed by the PTI government.

Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner Kamrup Virendra Mittal presided over a review meeting at ACA stadium Barshapara on Tuesday on the preparation of one day International Cricket Match which will be played between India and West Indies at Barshapara ACA Stadium on October.
The meeting was held in between Dist. Administration, Assam Cricket Association and with various departments regarding infrastructure development issues related with the said cricket match.
DC Mittal reviewed all the ongoing works carried out by various departments like PWD (R), Water Resource, APDCL, GMC etc.
Besides he has emphasized all work to be accomplished one month before the match.
As it is a Day and Night match thus he asked GMC officials to put sufficient light in an around the stadium.
For the smooth conveyance of the spectators and the players all roads are leading to the stadium to be refurbished.
DC also gives importance for the widening of certain roads which are quite narrow. He further suggested APDCL officials to remove the light posts which may vulnerable for commuters.
“I will review the progress of the works in every 15 days in which the officials will have to submit their progress report,” he informed.
Joint Commissioner of Police Diganta Bora, Assam Cricket Association’s General Secretary P. Burha Gohain and officials of other concerned departments attended the meeting.

CM CHAIRS MEETING ABOUT ERADICATION OF POLIO AND DENGUE
LAHORE, Sept. 04:
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed to run an anti-dengue campaign across the province and expressed his concern over the surfacing of polio case. The health department, as well the administration, will have to work hard for the eradication of polio and dengue and the Commissioners and DCs should monitor both the campaigns, he directed. He ordered that the dengue surveillance plan should be implemented in letter and spirit and made it clear that he will personally monitor the steps taken in this regard. It is my mission to save the province from both the diseases and line departments will have to work hard for this purpose. Special attention be paid to indoor and outdoor surveillance and the teams should be available in the field, he said. He stated that SOPs for the eradication of polio and dengue have been devised in the light of the WHO guidelines adding that implementation on these SOPs is necessary to achieve the targets. There is no room for any negligence and poor performance will not be tolerated. He warned that departmental action, as well as accountability, will be held on bad performance while the best performing staff will be encouraged. He reiterated that every step will be audited and 'all is good' type reports will not be helpful. The CM further stated that anti-dengue work will be daily monitored and results will have to be shown by employing collective efforts to overcome poliovirus.
He stated this while presiding over a meeting at his office in which secretary primary and secondary health gave a briefing about anti-dengue and anti-polio steps. Provincial ministers Murad Raas, Yasir Humayun, Pir Saeed ul Hassan Shah, Chief Secretary, ACS, SMBR, Commissioners of Lahore and DG Khan Divisions attended the meeting while Divisional Commissioners participated through video link.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed early disposal of water from low lying areas adding that every resource should be utilized by WASA and administration to early complete this job. He warned that negligence will not be tolerated and drainage of water should be ensured in the minimum of time. WASA and admin officials should remain in the field to ensure implementation of the devised plan, he stressed. Negligence will not be tolerated and citizens should not face any difficulty, he added. He further directed that traffic police, WASA and administrative officers should remain in the field and smooth flow of traffic should be ensured. CM CANCELS MEETINGS TO INSPECTS RAINWATER DISPOSAL
LAHORE Sept. 04:
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar cancelled his routine meetings on Friday to inspect the situation resulting due to heavy rain and visited different parts of Lahore city without any protocol. He also inspected an underground water storage facility at Lawrence Road and directed that water disposal should be completed at the earliest. He expressed the satisfaction that rainwater is being stored in an underground water storage facility and announced that more underground water storage facilities will be developed in Lahore to solve the water disposal issue permanently. He also directed to utilize all available resources and asked the admin, as well as the WASA staff, to personally monitor the disposal of water. The administrative officers and WASA officials should remain in the field until the completion of job and traffic police should actively work for the smooth flow of traffic on city roads. I belong to the people and administration has been activated for early solution of difficulties of the people, he said. Different teams are busy in the disposal of water in every area and the whole process is monitored as well. I have felt the difficulty faced by the citizens due to heavy rains, he said. Our joys and sorrows are common and I am standing with the citizens, he maintained. The disposal of water should be ensured at the earliest and citizens' difficulty should be resolved without any delay, the CM further added.

Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner Kamrup Virendra Mittal presided over a review meeting at ACA stadium Barshapara on Tuesday on the preparation of one day International Cricket Match which will be played between India and West Indies at Barshapara ACA Stadium on October.
The meeting was held in between Dist. Administration, Assam Cricket Association and with various departments regarding infrastructure development issues related with the said cricket match.
DC Mittal reviewed all the ongoing works carried out by various departments like PWD (R), Water Resource, APDCL, GMC etc.
Besides he has emphasized all work to be accomplished one month before the match.
As it is a Day and Night match thus he asked GMC officials to put sufficient light in an around the stadium.
For the smooth conveyance of the spectators and the players all roads are leading to the stadium to be refurbished.
DC also gives importance for the widening of certain roads which are quite narrow. He further suggested APDCL officials to remove the light posts which may vulnerable for commuters.
“I will review the progress of the works in every 15 days in which the officials will have to submit their progress report,” he informed.
Joint Commissioner of Police Diganta Bora, Assam Cricket Association’s General Secretary P. Burha Gohain and officials of other concerned departments attended the meeting.
