Okay, but can we talk about how unrealistic and weird it is that despite the media attention after broadcasting his message there were no successful attempts to contact Markus directly? To interview him personally? No impersonators claiming to be him online? You're saying that despite advocating for dialogue Markus didn't seek any direct and public one himself? And I'm not talking necessarily in person but it could have definitely been arranged, for chrissake they have technology. Like how the fuck is it possible that the first person to talk to Markus directly on this ground was Richard fucking Perkins from FBI? You're shitting me.

And huh, how is it possible that we don't see Leo using this as an opportunity to get some money?

Experimenting with simpler art styles and I got the Leo brainrot right now.

Thinking about how, in the moments just prior and after Markus' deviation, Leo refers to him as 'a fucking thing', a 'bitch', a 'pussy' and also a 'worthless piece of plastic', never once calling him by his name, all the while physically abusing him. Whether or not Markus is actually being physically harmed is irrelevant, it's dehumanising as fuck. Leo then tells him no one will give a shit if he's gone.

Then Markus is shot, and left for dead and wakes up in what was supposed to be his grave. It's like Leo's words are confirmed. Here he is, surrounded by other abused and discarded androids, forgotten by the humans they once served.

Markus survives, then climbs out of the pit and, after being thankful he's alive, rises and declares his personhood:

"My name is Markus."

And then he fights so that no other android has to go what he went through.

I'm just realizing that if the "Markus has been around for 10+ years" theory is correct, Leo was about 17/18 when he first arrived. And Carl only started speaking to him when he was 16 ...

Which means he only got to spend like a year or two with his father before basically getting replaced
