It’s Day 142 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was out of the southwest at 7mph with gusts at 16mph at 6am. The temperature was 54° and it felt like 49°. I used the Light Periwinkle color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to show the wind was out of the southwest. I worked my knitting in garter stitch since the wind was blowing at 7mph. It was a sunny day in Wessagusset to begin, but clouds moved in and took over late this afternoon. We didn’t have any precipitation today. I developed a horrible sinus headache tonight which knocked me for a loop. I had to quit watching the Celtics game, and go to bed in a dark room. Feeling better hours later, I have just completed my knitting. Be safe out there.

I never thought much about Bob Geldof. 

I mean, sure, he did at least 2 HUGE things in his life:

• He played the lead role in “Pink Floyd The Wall”

• He was the linchpin of the Band-Aid/Live Aid charity

And before all that, he was involved in 1 big thing (sort of):

• His band, The Boomtown Rats, made a little bit of a dent in the UK 

But after ALL THAT was done, he released a solo album. This one, in fact:

I never owned it. But it existed in a strange time in my teenage years. A weird, mid-80′s period when there weren’t a lot of options in terms of interesting music for me. 

Considering I’d been a peripheral fan of his through most of his work, I found myself slightly drawn to one of the songs off of it.

But never actually bought it. 

And that’s why I regret that this single has somehow stuck in my head 32 years later.

Ugh.

Go back to solving the hunger problem already. Starving people need bread. They can’t live on your crap.
