Fc Dordrecht Ugly Christmas Sweater
Fc Dordrecht Ugly Christmas Sweater
I had a run-in with a Fc Dordrecht Ugly Christmas Sweater at school just like Ralphie with Scut Farkus. My mom would pick us up at school. Mom was young and attractive like a movie star. This guy kept teasing me saying, “Hey RJ, how’s your sexy mom, woo hoo, so sexy.” I ignored him as long as I could. One day I snapped and ran toward him and knocked him down. I stood over him, grabbed the front of his jacket and kept lifting then batting his head against the ground. He never did it again. I had my pals I hung around with just like Ralphie. Earl, Pete, Rosie (Raymond) Jerry and Ernie. We were inseparable, all in the same class. Like Ralphie, I too had bitten into a bar of Lifebuoy soap, and it was the worst tasting soap. If my Irish, Catholic mom heard my sisters or I swear when we were little, that’s what would happen. We were never hit but we did get groundings and tasted soap. The girls especially were repeat soap tasters.

A City of Bells
Why you should read Elizabeth Goudge’s Torminster books for Advent and Christmastide:
Wonderful atmospheric depiction of a small Cathedral town in the beginning of the 20th century, partly inspired by the authors own childhood; (Torminster is technically Wells, Somerset)
the first book is a very soft and gentle adult novel, about all kinds of love, redemption, and the way literature and art can bring people together;
the sequels are two children’s novellas about a wonderful girl named Henrietta, who is already an important character in the first book, and who will grow up to be a great painter;
one sequel is set at Christmas and has a wonderful message, the other is set at high summer, but so magical it still feels right for this season;
the first book is set over the span of more than one year, and has absolutely gorgeous Christmas chapters;
the prose is lovely and evocative, the descriptions full of detail, the wide cast of characters endearing, and the various relationships and kinds of love (romantic, platonic, familial, and more than that) simply beautiful;
it is a book about art, artists, and the appreciation of art and its value: there is a bookshop, a poet, an actress, a very imaginative child, but there are also depictions of numerous other ways people use their creative ability as a means to communicate and to enrich but also understand the world around us;
the setting is lovely, a tiny town within a lovely landscape, and within the town the microcosm of the Cathedral Close;
soft, cosy, warm; lots of tea and treats, and Little Things;
there is a dog called Mixed Biscuits: “Front elevation collie, rear elevation pomeranian. The man I bought him from said he was a spaniel, but I think myself that there’s a dash of dachshund about the legs.” And there are even more dogs in the sequel: Keeper and Mee-Too.
All three books were very rare and usually out of print for a long while, especially the two sequels, but are currently in print or at least widely available. A City of Bells is the first book, and originally a stand-alone; Sister of the Angels was published before Henrietta’s House (published in the US as The Blue Hills), but is set later. The first is an adult novel, but suitable for all ages, if it should interest a younger reader, whereas the other two are children’s books of the kind that are just as appealing for adult readers. All books are ideally read together, but all of them can be read separately.
As in all of Goudge’s books, there are themes of religion and spirituality, mental illness and disability, and societal values and problems, but they are a bit gentler than in her other books – certainly there, but lighter, as the focus is rather on art and the individual, making them very soft and gentle, but nonetheless thoughtful reads for the season.
Goudge has a great gift of evoking a sense of time and place, so one does feel the town and also its seasons and celebrations very much when reading. Places in Goudge novels are very much characters on their own, and Torminster, the bookshop, the blue hills, and especially the Cathedral are very tangible, and in a way, also very independent. They are not fantasy books (except, maybe, Henrietta’s House) but they do have more than just a touch of magic.
Read if you like books about books and booklovers, the language of art, orphans finding loving homes, cute dogs, eccentric townsfolk, detailed descriptions of places and festivities and food, and very gentle romantic sub-plots. (As well as old novels that fit very vaguely into a dark academia or cottagecore aesthetic, if that’s the sort of thing you’re looking for.)
Read them especially if you love (or maybe need) a story about unusual relationships, platonic love and romantic friendship, second chances and redemption, hope and healing, compassion and forgiveness, everyday mysteries and the magic of the ordinary, the extraordinary effects of human kindness, and the beauty of hard, yet right choices.

just realised it’d probably be a good idea to actually post some hybrid stuff instead of just shouting myself out, huh.
jindo!seungwan x vampire!joohyun.
‘come here, little puppy’
...
thwack!
Razor- sharp fangs were at the ready as the trap went off. A shrill yelp filled the cool air and sent a flock of birds scattering into the midnight sky. Setting up a trap was very un-vampire like, but she never cared for the chase. She was impatient; wanting to sink her fangs into her prey as soon as possible. It had been a while, too long in fact, since the vampiress had had a fresh meal of any sort. The modern day and age often left her with little choice but to resort to prepacked blood bags from local vending machines. They were as bland as they were pricey, and Bae Joohyun had found herself increasingly unwilling to spend that much money on stale tasting pigs’ blood.
Freshly caught meals were a rare luxury, and Joohyun smirked as she readied herself for the first kill of the night.
Rounding the tree from where she’d been waiting, she gracefully made her way over to the tiny shifting bundle shrouded in the shadows. Her enhanced vision told her something was amiss about this meal; mainly the fact that it was not in the shape of her usual deer or other small animal, but very, very human.
Well, kind of human.
Joohyun was processing newer information with each step she took. She would’ve automatically passed the hectic bundle under the thick, roped net as a human. A human girl, no less. That was until she noted the pair of soft, pointy ears nestled between thick locks of layered golden-brown curls and the fluffy tail behind her.
Ah, a hybrid, she thought, stepping into the moonlight and making her presence known to the oblivious little heap thrashing about at her feet.
She stood there, unmoving, and fighting every urge to just pick the little thing up and carry it home right then.
The captured girl froze in her tracks when she felt a sudden cold gush over her, making her shiver and prick her sensitive ears towards the direction of the stillness.
How cute.
Yes, she wouldn’t lie. Joohyun had fully intended on devouring anything and everything the night (and net) brought her. The squeals and struggles of her usual kills gave her no pause as she drained them dry and carelessly disposed of their carcasses. However, this. This was different. She surprised herself with how instantly infatuated she was by this adorable little hybrid. The way her ears were pressed flat against her head, weighed down by the heavy rope. The way her tail quivered ever so slightly, in fear no doubt, and those big, soft brown eyes with the unknowing ability to pierce right through her cold, dead soul. If she had a heart, it would’ve been fluttering and doing backflips by now, she was sure of it.
The vampire was so consumed by her captive that she forgot to be angry that she’d been swindled out of tonight’s meal.
The girl, on the other hand, was completely terrified as she beheld this elegant vampiric beauty with sleek raven hair casting a looming shadow over her trapped form. Her skin was flawless, un-kissed by anything other than the moon and it seemed to shimmer ethereally under the light of the stars. Her heart was going a million miles a minute, audibly thumping against her ribcage as her canine senses picked up on a peculiar warmth to this woman despite her deathly steely exterior. The woman began circling her, and she followed the movement with wide, shaky eyes.
Her attention snapped to the figure now crouching down beside her.
“Well look what we have here,” she sneered, making a show of licking her blood-red lips as the girl squeaked in fear, “A lonely puppy, all for me to snatch up.”
Joohyun had decided not to eat her, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t toy with her a little.
The terrified girl gave a small whimper and tried to scoot back as far away from the vampire as she could. But the net was small, and she’d pulled it taut in no time, exhausting all her options of escape.
The woman chuckled darkly and closed the distance between them once again. She didn’t miss how hard her little captive was panting, chest erratically rising and falling with every panicked breath.
“Nowhere to run, I’m afraid,” Joohyun paused when she caught sight of the girl’s neck; the paleness enhancing the way her pulse point on her jaw throbbed madly, and so deliciously bare.
My my, is she really? If she is… then this is too good to be true. Oh, this is Christmas.
“Oh dear, little puppy,” she smirked, feigning concern to which she already had the answer to, “where’s your collar? Do you not have an owner?”
Her smirk widened as her suspicions were confirmed when the girl meekly shook her head, ears flopping over and drooping sadly.
Poor thing, a stray. How could such an endearing creature possibly be a stray?
Anger bubbled up inside her thinking about who could’ve done this. It was obvious that this was a pedigree, and a fine specimen, at that. Definitely the type to be bred and bred from the finest bloodlines, only purpose in life to serve in show business or to be bought by filthy rich families who hadn’t the time nor a clue on how to properly raise a hybrid. It made her sick to her stomach. But she hastily brushed her emotions and opinions aside, focusing on the more important issue at hand.
“What’s your name, little one?”
“S-Seung-w-wan…” the girl barely even managed to stammer.
It was settled then. Seungwan needn’t worry, for she had found herself, willingly or unwillingly, a new home. Never had the vampiress made up her mind as fast as she did tonight, wanting nothing more than to keep this shivering little puppy warm and safe at all costs. It was so perfect, she almost forgot she’d come out tonight to feast, and her fangs had long since retracted. She’d been contemplating getting a pet ever since moving into her new place. Despite appearing aloof and reticent to the public eye, Joohyun had to admit that it did get more than a little lonely having to live with oneself day to day with nothing but your own lifeless soul for company. She desired companionship, and she was just waiting for the right time to acquire it.
But it seemed like fate beat her to it, in a night of unadulterated bloodlust.
“Well then, Wannie, it’s time to go home,” she said nonchalantly, pushing herself from her position and straightening up in preparation to cut the net.
She looked down at the shivering girl at her feet, curled up in a tight ball and burying her face in her fluffy jumper. The vampiress inwardly kicked herself for knowing she’d just as good as given the poor thing a heart attack.
Okay, façade’s up you idiot. Time to play nice.
Having had basic knowledge of dogs and the responsibilities that came with them from the time she was a young vampiress and her family had gifted her a Dachshund pup for her 100th birthday, Joohyun bent down once again to calm Seungwan down, hoping hybrids were the same. She'd adored Mr. Wiggles, but learning to come to terms with the loss of a pet was a grievous path known to animal lovers of all species, human or vampire. She had been far too upset for the next thousand years or so to even consider getting another pet, for fear of forgetting him and feeling as though he was easily replaceable. But it wasn't just a pit of despair, though. Pets were lovely; their warmth was like no other. You’d often find yourself questioning what on earth you had done, never quite sure how you’d come to deserve such boundless, unconditional love.
And Joohyun couldn't have felt more undeserving.
Ignoring the scared flinch she received for reaching into the net, she carefully extended a limp hand, as Seungwan strained her neck forwards to take cautious little sniffs at it and at the air around her, trying to detect any sort of potential threat. Of which she found none. Joohyun then began oh so gently scratching soothing circles on the puppy’s head behind her small floppy ears. Seungwan immediately let out a small, heart-breaking whimper as she tensed at the sudden contact, however, visibly relaxed when she realised the fingers weren’t hurting her, after which she instinctively sighed into the affectionate touch.
Joohyun let out a shaky breath of relief when it worked.
“There, there,” she cooed, taking care not to scratch too hard as she carefully observed Seungwan’s expressions, “Sorry for scaring you, little one. But I’m not going to hurt you, I promise.”
Seungwan wasn’t sure how much of that she could actually trust, but in her current state of affairs she had little else to go by but the words of this bizarrely tender vampiress.
And she seemed to be keeping to it… for now, at least.
Seungwan just about rolled over in submission when Joohyun took one of her warm little ears and started rolling it softly between her fingers. Shivers ran down her body and her tail began unconsciously swishing back and forth. She’d never been touched like this before, and the poor thing shocked herself with how her body naturally responded to the simple caresses. She was so depreaved of any physical touch, affection aside, that the little that Joohyun was doing now overwhelmed her enough to willingly go along with it; to be taken in and taken care of, despite having her qualms about stranger danger.
“I’m going to take care of you, but you have to be a good girl and come home with me,” the vampiress couldn’t stop an escaping giggle at the sight of the girl practically drooling as she continued to roll her soft, velvety ear; eyelids heavy and pink little tongue lolled out at the corner of her mouth.
“Okay, puppy?” she inquired, taking her hand from out of the net.
The little dog whined at the sudden loss of contact, but unexpectedly nodded up at her with sad, glazed brown orbs.
We’re not even home yet. Wannie-ah, are you trying to kill me?
It was only when Joohyun was sure the girl had calmed down significantly to the point where she knew Seungwan wouldn’t try to run, did she give the net a quick slice with the small knife she kept handy at all times. She hurled the weight off and Seungwan’s ears sprung up, one sticking straight up and one happily folding over as she innocently glanced around, apparently not yet realising she was free. It was murderously heart-wrenching to behold; Joohyun had to thank her lucky stars she didn’t have one. She made quick work of crafting a makeshift noose and lead out of the remnants of the trap.
Holding the noose up in front of her with trembling hands, Joohyun held her breath, warily eyeing the unmoving girl as she carefully inched her way closer, utterly terrified that she’d make the one unfavourable movement that would cause Seungwan to bolt.
But it never happened. The puppy stayed put, head cocked and eyes on her the entire time.
“Okay Wannie, don’t be scared, I’m just going to put this around your neck. It’s only for now, I promise. It won’t be long.”
The vampiress was more than prepared. She was prepared to have to chase the girl down, subconsciously readying herself for when she’d make a run for it. A small part of her also prepared to give in, to accept the fact that she’d lost her little pet and resign herself to loneliness once more until she found someone or something that tugged at her as deep and effectively as Seungwan had tonight.
What she wasn’t prepared for, was abruptly being nose to nose with the girl in less time it took to blink, feeling her hands that were still clutching the noose now lightly grazing the tips of her shoulders. Joohyun had to forcefully blink the disbelief away before settling her gaze back on the floppy-eared girl now standing inches away from her, breath tickling her chin. A seismic shock wave threatening to wipe the earth would’ve flustered her less, as her entire being froze in this completely unprecedented display of dangerously blind trust only a puppy could boast.
So she just about keeled over and perished, as the terms and conditions of being immortal would allow, when the irreproachable honey-toned words left Seungwan’s mouth in the tiniest, almost punishingly lovable question.
“Take Wannie home now?”

an addition to the family (david x patrick, schitt’s creek)
AN ~ I don't know exactly how this happened, but I have 2000 words of David x Patrick pro-pet adoption holiday season fluff with a healthy sider of David & Stevie friendship and 'delightfully half-half' Xtn/Jewish David, and I couldn't help but share it. Enjoy! and support your local pet shelters this holidays.
Rated T just in case. fluff. contains mentions of both Christmas and Hanukkah
Read on AO3 (~2100 words)
an addition to the family
After a snooty dachshund rejected his advances, David turned back to his stand and tried his best not to pull a face as he straightened a row of collars. He’d never really got dogs. There just seemed to be something about them he couldn’t vibe with; not even the neat, posh ones. But he could respect that other people liked them – and he certainly appreciated those who aspired to give their pets the best. His pleasure at the very popular reception of their hand-made organic dog treats was very much genuine… even if he wasn’t too keen on giving out the samples himself.
Patrick, on the other hand, was living up to his reputation with the local youths; kneeling in muddy snow at the adoption drive, helping kids get up the courage to pat his charges, which were on the larger side of the doggy spectrum. For some unknown reason that David could only boil down to the mysteries of love, it warmed his heart to notice that Patrick’s smile somehow resembled that of the gambolling Retriever-cross he was currently introducing to the nearest family as Buddy.
“Thinking about an addition to the family?” interrupted a familiar voice. Stevie, raising an eyebrow, over the cup of tea she had brought him.
David scoffed, and took the tea. “Ugh. No.”
“Come on,” Stevie cajoled. “I think it would be cute.”
“I think it would be… messy. And loud. And…”
And something shaggy and black and white, maybe a Husky or a Border Collie, was lying on its back while Patrick laughed and rubbed its belly. It pawed the air in delight.
David cleared his throat.
“Besides,” he finished. “We don’t have room for it in the apartment.”
“It doesn’t have to be a dog, you know,” Stevie pointed out. “Me, I’m thinking about getting a lizard. Or maybe a ferret. Like old Felix here.”
She swung her arm around, revealing a mouse-brown ferret with a white bandit mark across its eyes, wrapped around her arm quite contentedly. David yelped.
“Oh, God! Why??” Eye twitching, he reined himself in. They had customers to think of after all – not that most of them didn’t already know of his lack of affinity for animals by now. Most of them found it funnier than he cared for, to be honest. Still, he pulled out of the dive. “Why- why- why is Felix, um, here?”
“Because I wanted to try out these little hats,” Stevie said, plucking a tiny green-and-red elf hat from the table and arranging it on Felix’s head. He sat up, attentive, almost appearing to clap his hands. If he didn’t have such a rat-like face, it almost would have been cute. And dare he say it, David had an idea to make it even cuter.
“… We also have matching scarves.”
Resigned to his fate, and to sacrificing himself for the art, David picked a green one from the selection and pressed the stud so that it sit comfortably around the ferret’s neck. Felix wrapped a tiny hand around his finger in return.
“Aww,” Stevie said. “He likes you.”
“That’s nice,” David replied, withdrawing his finger with a half-hearted glare. He had intended to be sarcastic but actually, it did feel kind of nice - there was a reason after all, he supposed, that humans had domesticated animals for the last few thousand odd years. Why people then proceeded to abandon the little monsters in droves, he would never understand.
(Maybe he would have, not so long ago. But he tried not to think too hard about that.)
Instead, he focused on doing the best he could for the store. He peddled the dog treats, and cat treats, little booties and hats, collars, toys; everything. He encouraged people to take photos, tag them on Instagram, buy gifts for friends, and of course donate to the shelter. A handful of times, Patrick offered to cover, but since that meant David helping out at the shelter drive as his replacement, David declined. Besides, they were doing well, but it wasn’t like things were flying off the shelf. He got plenty of downtime.
Plenty of downtime to think.
Plenty of downtime to think about the apartment, the budget, the hints that Patrick had been dropping. The shop in Prague, whose resident cat Luna had once got him to buy what remained to this day his favourite mug. Maybe it wouldn’t be all bad.
(Maybe he was already vision-boarding outdoor sun-boxes and cat runs and reading about something called ‘cat mint’. But he wasn’t going to tell Stevie about that.)
Still, by the time the day’s festivities were winding up, David was in a much more pensive state of mind. He packed up their remaining supplies (there weren’t many; as always, he’d planned well) and wandered over to the shelter’s pens to wait for Patrick. Ted was there, explaining some flea drops to Twyla while Alexis made kissy faces at her friend’s new ginger cat. That, David told himself, is what caused him to wander over to the feline side of the selection.
Most of the pens had been cleared out by this point, and most of what were left were the older cats, the scarred ones, the ugly breeds or sickly-looking ones. David frowned; it was, he supposed, to be expected, but somehow if anything, that made it even more sad. His eyes caught the bright yellow ones of a black cat at the end of the aisle. There were a few of those left, too. This one had a scar on his shoulder, a bit of knotted fur where it was healing, but otherwise he was quite a handsome devil. Even if his gaze was a little too insightful for comfort, it kept David’s attention so thoroughly he didn’t in the slightest notice Ted sneak up.
“Hey, bud. How’s things?”
“Uh, good,” David replied, stammering to keep from jumping near out of his skin. He straightened up from his cat-examination angle, and found that a question seemed poised on his lips.
“I see you’ve meet Maccabee,” Ted pointed out, and bent over himself to greet the cat and pull him out for a cuddle, before turning his attention back to David. “He’s been in rescue for a year this Christmas. It’s sad, really; black cats are already least rescued because of some superstition, and with his scar and FIV on top of that –“
“What’s FIV?”
“It’s… like HIV. For cats.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah.” Ted took a deep breath, and sighed it out. “He’s asymptomatic at the moment, but it still means he can’t live with other cats, or go outside where might run into them and get himself into trouble. It’s kinda limiting. Which sucks, ‘cause he’s a sweet little guy now that he’s had his testosterone – you know, permanently lowered - and some people won’t even pet him once they find out.”
Try as he might, Ted couldn’t hold back a little smile at David, who had already offered a knuckle for Maccabee to sniff and couldn’t seem to take his eyes off the little man. It took a solid few seconds for David to notice that Ted had stopped talking, and what he was doing, at which point he dropped his hand and cleared his throat.
“That’s, um. That’s a bummer.”
“It is. Especially because, you know, people can’t get it from cats.”
“Like, not at all? Are you sure?”
Somehow, David’s hand had found Maccabee again, and was scratching absently at the back of his neck. He watched for Ted’s answers closely, apparently unaware of what his fingers were doing.
“Not even if he bit your whole hand off,” Ted swore. “Certainly not if he… I don’t know. Sat in the same room or maybe, rubbed past some clothes…”
Something deep inside David was thinking, as Patrick jogged up the aisle to greet them. He saw who Ted was holding, and pouted.
“Mac’s still here, huh?”
“Yeah,” Ted sighs.
“And David- David, is here?” Patrick didn’t mean to sound so surprised, let alone hopeful, but he had been dropping an awful lot of hints that he was interested in getting a pet. He’d just assumed David hadn’t been picking up on them, or had misinterpreted them as the idea to come here. Either way, it seemed he had a foot in the door, if he trod lightly.
“Can I hold him?” Patrick asked Ted.
“Sure,” Ted agreed, passing him over. “I’ve gotta start crating the others anyway. Just bring him down the front when you’re done.”
As Ted walked away, David frowned.
“I thought you said you were allergic to cats?” he wondered.
“They make meds for that, David,” Patrick assured him, and cooed at Maccabee, letting the cat rub his face into his hand and paw at his shoulder.
“Okay.” David nodded and, more conscious of what he was doing this time, resumed scratching Maccabee between the shoulder blades and around the back of the neck. It seemed his mind had been made up for him – especially as he started to feel the tiny sputtering rumbles of a hesitant purr beneath the coarse black coat.
“Hey, Patrick?” David began again.
“Yes, David.”
“Did you know that Maccabee is the name of the group of Jewish warriors who took back the temple from Antiochus and lit the oil that started Hanukkah?”
Patrick blinked in surprise. “I kinda assumed it was something biblical but no, I didn’t know that.”
“So you didn’t set me up to meet this cat a week out from Hanukkah?”
“No.”
“And you didn’t name him Maccabee?”
“David. I met him this morning.”
“So you haven’t been conspiring for me to get you a furry four-legged friend these last few months.”
“Well…“
“And you didn’t bring Stevie, Ted, and/or Alexis in on this little gambit.”
“I wouldn’t say I brought them in. But yes. I think it would be nice to have a pet! I always had a dog growing up and Rachel had a cat – I miss being around them. And these little guys, they need a home. Mac needs a home, David.”
He lifted Maccabee’s face beside his own, glowing yellow eyes and pleading blue making a point together. Now that David thought about it, maybe they should add some kippot to their holiday hat collection.
“Come on,” Patrick continued. “You said it yourself, it’s basically fate – it’s divine intervention-“
“It’s a fundraiser set up for the sole purpose of helping the shelter adopt out animals,” David corrected. “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.”
But the thought of putting Maccabee back in that sad little cage at this point and walking away was almost too much to bear. The thought of him sitting on the shop counter by Patrick as he worked the books, or batting him away from the menorah and the tinsel, or waking up to him on the end of their little bed – now that, David thought, suddenly felt like it had always been part of this little world he’d envisioned for himself.
And judging by the look on Patrick’s face, Patrick was envisioning something very much the same.
David took a deep breath, pretending to be much more laboured about the decision than he now was; he had a reputation to maintain, after all.
“You promise to clean up his poop?”
“I promise,” Patrick vowed.
“And you promise the allergy thing won’t bug you?”
“Literally got antihistamines in my bag.”
“Then I think we should do it,” David announced. “I think we should bring Maccabee home.”
“Really?” Patrick’s eyes lit up, and he held Maccabee a little tighter to stop from shifting him too much in his excitement. “Great!”
He bounded back up the front of the shelter stands, David following behind with the patient long-suffering smile for once. Ted was waiting at the back of his truck, one last crate awaiting, register and kitty (pun, as always, intended) long since packed away. His smile told David and Patrick he already knew exactly what had transpired, and he handed the spare crate and a manila folder over to David.
“That’s his welcome package – medical records, FIV info, council registration, stuff like that. Take a look, and if you have any questions, you know where to find me.”
“How much-“
Ted shrugged and waved them off.
“All sorted,” he said. “Happy Hanukk-cat, David. Merry Catmas.”
“Thanks,” “Thank you,” David and Patrick replied – and then Patrick added for good measure –
“And a Happy Meow Year.”
They could hear Alexis groan from the front seat of the truck. Ted laughed and joined her, calling as he went –
“Happy Meow Year to you too!”

New Friend
@kyber-hearts-and-stardust-souls
Armitage scoured the kennel he and his girlfriend owned, looking for a perfect pup to adopt as a new family member. A stately whippet? No, too big. A St. Bernard? They may be gentle, but also a little too big for their small backyard. A chubby Dachshund? Probably... He was about to go look at a beagle, when he heard a soft whimper. He knew exactly what he was looking for when he saw the tiny Pomeranian look at him with eyes as big as saucers. Lucky for Armitage, tomorrow was Christmas Day, and the last customers who were adopting family pets (or gifts for lovers) were heading out.
Early Christmas morning, Armitage snuck out of bed and tried his best not to disturb Gwendoline- but she was fast asleep, and Pudge was plopped on top of her, purring away. He made his way downstairs to the guest room, where the tiny pupper slept. Gently, he eased them into a hatbox and slid it under the Christmas tree, before sliding the lid a bit back so they could breathe. Bidding them good night, he made a pit stop to the cat’s food bowls to give them breakfast. He then eased himself back in bed, trying to contain his excitement.
“Merry Christmas, angel.” Gwendoline was awakened by a kiss on her cheek, and Armitage’s smile. She woke up, eased Pudge to her side, and returned his kiss.
“Joyeux Noel, love,” she said, as Pudge hopped back onto the bed with a joyful meow. “Let’s go have some breakfast, we could make eggs Benedict. Or... we could be bad and have leftover Yule log cake,” she added with a wink.
“Sounds lovely,” Hux said, slipping on his robe as they headed downstairs, Millicent meeting them on the landing. Gwendoline lit up the tree and the multicolored glow made the room shine like a nebula. Both got their stockings down from the mantel and dug through like children on Christmas morning, as well as bringing out the toys from the cat’s stocking for them to play with. As soon as Gwendoline uncovered a box of diamond earrings, strangely enough, she found... a chew toy.
“Armie, why did I get a dog’s chew toy?” she asked, raising an eyebrow. Armitage smiled at her, and gestured towards a hatbox.
“It goes with your next present, love,” he replied, handing her the box.
“I’m not sure a chew toy is a good accessory for a hat, but, if you insist.” She set the toy aside and began to open the box. As soon as the lid was off, her eyes lit up with joy. Looking straight at her was a white Pomeranian puppy, who whimpered softly before licking her hand. “Oh my goodness! You’re not a hat!” Gwendoline squealed as the puppy waggled in her arms and gave a yap. Gently, she set them down and handed them the chew toy from her stocking.
“I found him at the shelter,” Armitage said. “I know how you’ve been wanting to adopt him, so I did!” Pudge, who knew exactly who the puppy was, began to purr loudly and walk over to him, eager to say hello.
“He’s so cute!” The puppy began to explore the room, with Pudge and Millicent trailing behind him to make sure he didn’t cause any trouble.
“Have you thought of a name yet?” Armitage wondered aloud, wrapping his arms around Gwendoline’s waist.
“Well, Mash Potatoe sounds cheesy, so since he looks like a cloud... I’ll call him Nimbus.”
“Nimbus, a perfect name,” Armitage repeated. With time, their happy little family expanded, not only with the addition of Nimbus, but also with two children that joined them that spring.

Fc Emmen Ugly Christmas Sweater
Fc Emmen Ugly Christmas Sweater
The first thing to know is that the Fc Emmen Ugly Christmas Sweater of Matthew’s Gospel used the Greek word magi, which does not actually mean ‘wise men’, but is a reference to the priests of the then-great Zoroastrian religion of the Persian Empire. When Matthew says they came from the east, he was alluding to the direction of Babylon and Persia. It is, of course, inconceivable that Zoroastrian priests would be in the least interested in the birth of a purported king of Judah. It is scientifically inconceivable that a star could be followed so accurately to Jerusalem and then to Bethlehem and actually stand over the very house where Jesus was. However, our author (he was anonymous and very unlikely to have been called Matthew) knew that the magi were well known for their wisdom and for their knowledge of astrology, so he knew this nativity account would be plausible.

He’s about to sign his first record label contract and Tottenham Hotspur 3D The Spurs Hawaiian Shirt wanted advice on what he was signing. If you’ve read a label contract, you know they favor the label. Exclusive, all-encompassing rights over the master recording and the composition are often granted to the label. The label offered him a “Marketing Plan” in exchange for this sign-over of rights. This is increasingly common, since electronic artists usually produce their own masters. The label promises a groundswell of exposure. Record labels are a critical part of the music industry. In this case though, the particular label was doing practically nothing the artist couldn’t have done themselves, while extracting 100% of their intellectual property and the associated revenue power that comes with it. I told him he should create his own imprint, sign his own tracks, and hire someone right out of college to do the exact same hustler email marketing the label would do for him. Then instead of signing away 60% of his master, mechanical, performance, and sync revenue, in perpetuity, he’d likely just need to pay 5 points off the top for each album sold.
