Watch your heid
It is my understanding one of the main 'debunking' arguments about that Stravaigin' event is that well, didn't you know, 'nobody else in attendance went with their significant other'. Or at least nobody from the OL crowd, which wasn't numerous, nor central at all, by the way (perhaps C not being mentioned anywhere is what really pissed her Stans off? 🤷♀️).
Oh. So be it. Bummer.
Then who is this charming blonde young lady, mind I ask you?
Could it be...
... Sammie Russel, Rankin's girlfriend?
Nah. My eyes are definitely tricking me. We have been told by people who are always RIGHT and FIRST and BEST such a thing was not possible. You are looking at a shamelessly photoshopped collage, courtesy of Sgian-dubh, the Stupid, Stupid Shipper.
Heh. You'd wish:
The above frame comes from this clip, posted on Stravaigin's IG account:

How dare they, btw, thank their 'wonderful customers, suppliers and friends' in that fake news post of theirs? This cannot be and is just beyond me. We have been told otherwise by Two Authorities, therefore we should shut the fuck up and go home: they know BEST.
And surely this guy, too, Mr. James Anderson, a set builder for OL, must be lying through his teeth:

Marrit? Oh. Too bad. But... but... this cannot be. We have been told otherwise.
And oh, lookie here, too. Disclaimer: not Tony McGill - I wonder if you can ask for a refund, or something?
I surely want my money back, on this one.

Oh, well. They never got along with irony, either, all Those Righteous, Those Supremely Intelligent People Across The Street
Liars, Fascists and Fools. God bless them all.
PS: thank you, darling. You know who you are and as always, this is spot on!

I updated my resources page to include a few programs & utilities I use that I think everyone would benefit from! Veteran players probably know at least a couple of these very well, but hopefully some players can benefit from this! Sharing the information here too so it can be saved more easily if anyone wants to. But the Resources link in my pinned post also has this section now.
------------------------------------------------------------------
This isn’t a comprehensive list of all TS2 outside programs and utilities I use, as some are more infrequent and specialized, or tailored to CC makers or intermediate and advanced builders. These are ones I use regularly and would recommend for your average player.
Hood Checker - checks your hood and cleans it up to prevent corruption. Thanks to April Black’s work we now know corruption is far less of a risk than once believed, but this tool is still totally worthwhile to use regularly to clean your hoods I think. As April mentions in her video, the main categories you should be worried about Hood Checker finding errors in are Family Ties and Sim Wants and Fears (I’ve never had it find errors there and my hood has currently been played for over 6 years).
Object Relocator - Easy to use tool so you can recategorize objects, re-price them, and move them easily between build and buy mode. All things you can do with SimPE but far less fussy and way faster.
Outfit Organizer - Another tool that simplifies an established SimPE capability, you can very quickly change which outfit categories clothing shows up in, which age groups (assuming body type compatibility, it will not magically morph an adult outfit to fit teens for example), which gender (again assuming body type compatibility, for example all ages up through child have identical body types for male and female) and even shoe sounds where applicable. Really great if you want that fancy dress to only show in formal and not everyday, or if you’ve got the Separates For All mod and you want to make that really casual t-shirt available in the pajamas and gym categories too.
Sims2Pack Clean Installer - Sims2Pack file types are used for lots and Sims. This tool lets you see any and all CC that got packaged with the Sim/lot and remove anything you don’t want to download with a simple tickbox. I especially like to use this when downloading Sims with CC if I prefer to have a CC free version of them (ie: only their facial structure) and layer in my own CC in game. Also useful for lots if you see that there is a bunch of CC included from a build set you already have, and you don’t want to download duplicate files, or you just aren’t interested in any of the custom wallpaper the builder put in the house and you’ll put your own in when you place in your game.

Outside of the Fox
Chapter 34 of 35
2785 words
Y/N longs for a new life when the one she’d been living comes to an abrupt stop. Without much thought to those she is leaving behind, the little fox packs a backpack and disappears. She stumbles across the shelter and makes an interim home for herself while she works out exactly what she wants from her second chance.
Last
“And he really said he wanted to meet me?” Namjoon asks for the fifth time.
Jungkook is stood by the door to the annexe tying his laces while you brief Namjoon on how to get to the doctor’s office; not that you really need to, Jungkook is perfectly capable of getting the two of them to Dr Treiver’s appointment on time. But Namjoon seemed less than convinced of Jungkook’s progress.
Which is part of the reason dr Treiver had asked for Namjoon to accompany the rabbit to his session rather than you.
“Yes Namjoon, I am certain. Now go before you’re late,” You scold, pushing him towards the foyer.
He holds up his hands in defeat, and Jungkook takes ahold of one, pulling him along so they don’t end up being late.
They disappear around the side gate as you watch them through the still open front door.
You feel a bit put out, your routine broken by not taking Jungkook out for therapy. It’s been about ten weeks now since it began, and you had taken him without fail to each one. It was really slow progress, but there had been definite progress. Jungkook was now able to share a room with the builders without twitching too much AND you were able to go into the ice cream shop last week! Sure you were the only customers, but there were two teenagers behind the register that he only hid from briefly.
“Are you going to stand there until they come back?” Hoseok asks.
He makes you jump as his arm snakes around your shoulder.
“Your feet are really going to start to hurt,” Yoongi says, going around you to close the door.
The older man settles on your other side and places an arm around your waist. They turn you around and bring you over to the large plush sofa in the middle of the room. It’s a great L-shape sofa Jungkook had insisted on so it was big enough for the eight of you to pile together, far more comfortable than the 3-seater you had had in the main house before.
They cage you in between them and Hobi rests his head on your shoulder
“They’ll be okay you know,”Hoseok comforts.
“Of course I know that,” You roll your eyes.
However, the knot in the pit of your stomach doesn’t untie. You lean your head against his and take a deep breath.
“And you made fun of us for being so concerned about Jungkook when we met,” Yoongi chuckles, he strokes your leg comfortingly.
“I didn’t make fun… I just thought it was odd…” You shrug “And I’m more concerned about Namjoon than Jungkook right now,”
“Now that might be a valid concern,” Yoongi agrees.
_______________
Meanwhile Jungkook switches off the engine as he parks outside of the doctor’s office. Namjoon has driven him nuts the entire drive. He is certain the man means well but all he is doing is making the anxiety in Jungkook’s stomach feel like it did on that very first session again. He lets out a low whine as Namjoon asks him for the fifth time if he is really sure about going in to the appointment.
“Oh Bunny, if you really are that stressed out we don’t have to go,”
Namjoon reaches out a hand to pat Jungkook on the shoulder, but Jungkook flinches away.
“I’M FINE,” he snaps.
Namjoon looks taken aback. He has never been shouted at by a pack member before now, especially not Jungkook.
“I am okay, Namjoon,” He sighs reacting to the sadness in his leaders eyes, "You are making me more nervous.”
"I'm sorry," Namjoon answers, his voice small.
Jungkook's hands begin to tremble and he longs to lean over and curl into his leader like he always has done, but he knows the minute he does it's like giving in. Instead he takes a deep breath and closes his eyes like the doctor taught him, steadying his nerves on his own. Namjoon sighs and opens the door, letting himself out of the car. Jungkook follows suit a moment later and allows Namjoon to take his hand falling into step beside him. The younger man leads his partner through to the doctor.
“Good afternoon Jungkook, this must be Namjoon,”
The elder gentleman smiles warmly at the pair, extending his hand to Namjoon. Namjoon greets the man, warily taking up the offer of a hand shake. Doctor Treiver nods curtly and motions for them to both sit on the sofa.
Out of instinct, Jungkook sits almost on top of Namjoon before realising and shuffling over to allow for more space. Namjoon can't help but feel a little lost, unsure of what to do with himself if he isn’t comforting Jungkook.
The first half of the session went as could be expected of a therapy session. The doctor focused most of his attention on Jungkook, walking through anything and everything Jungkook was willing to talk about. Today that seemed to consist of renovation plans.
Namjoon rolled his eyes. This is what Seokjin was paying for? Seemed like an absolute waste of money if you asked him... Not that anyone did lately…
Only on his fifth eye roll did he realise the doctor was now watching him instead of Jungkook. The bear looked down at his feet, suddenly finding the hideous carpet pattern to be the most interesting thing on the planet.
"Jungkook, you've done a fantastic job today. I can tell you're really excited about this room painting you and Y/N have been doing and I do want to talk more about it," Doctor Treiver says, then he turns to Namjoon, “However I was hoping we could talk to Namjoon and you together today, would that be okay?”
Jungkook and the doctor both turn to Namjoon expectantly.
Namjoon won't meet the doctor's eyes despite the clear invitation to speak. He hadn't considered he would be the one in the hot seat, prepared to observe, not participate.
“Okay, let’s try this slowly. Jungkook are you comfortable with me talking to Namjoon about things we have discussed in past sessions? Please understand you can say no,” Treiver says gently.
“Namjoon knows everything about me, doctor, you can talk about whatever you need.” The bunny confirms.
Namjoon prepares himself to be psychoanalysed by this almost complete stranger, thinking somehow this man was going to blame him for every single one of Jungkook’s problems, reaffirming what Namjoon already thought about himself. He braced himself to hear all of his worst thoughts realised by a professional, to hear how he wasn’t fit to have one mate let alone be the leader of such a large pack.
But the negativity never came. In fact, it seemed that while Namjoon had been spiralling inside his own head, the doctor had been commending him for how he had handled Jungkook so far.
“Jungkook’s condition goes back a very long time from what I can see. I think it is a credit to you and your family that he is able to function outside of his birth family unit at all”
The doctor went on to talk about how Jungkook had confided in him about his fear that he had only gotten worse since moving in with Namjoon, no longer able to be independent at all. This made Namjoon cringe until the doctor continued. The elder man explained how this was much more likely to be a response to the new sensation of safety that Jungkook was experiencing, he was finally comfortable enough to shut down and protect himself in the way prey animals typically want to, hiding from the perceived threat of the world outside his burrow, his home.
It was a lot of information to take in. Ever since Jungkook had started therapy, Namjoon had been terrified he would be blamed, that they would find out he wasn’t able to support the people he loved. It hurt to find out that Jungkook had been concerned about his worsening state and hadn’t been able to voice it, but at the same time Namjoon hadn’t brought it up to him either, his fear that Jungkook would want to leave consuming him. He'd be lying if he said it wasn't a little reassuring to hear the doctor blame Jungkook’s father instead.
The bear rests his hand on Jungkook’s leg and squeezes reassuringly, more to ground himself than his mate. He isn’t sure he truly understands what this therapy is going to do for Jungkook in the long run, and in the short term, it’s just hurting his head. But he is happy that Jungkook has someone outside of the pack to trust.
The doctor glances up at the clock and Namjoon’s gaze follows, only five minutes remain in the session.
“Jungkook would you be comfortable enough to sit in the waiting room on your own for the remainder of the session? Ms. Harris, my assistant is right behind the desk for you, and you can come immediately back inside here if it is too overwhelming for you?” Dr Triever asks carefully.
Jungkook’s eyes go wide and Namjoon can see the immediate rise in his hackles as his panic response begins to activate. Jungkook’s hand finds Namjoon’s and squeezes tightly before the bear has a chance to react. Instinctually he pulls Jungkook into his lap and holds him close, whispering gently into his ears reminding him to breathe.
“I’ll take that as a no…” The doctor tilts his head observing. “That’s okay, a little too soon for public spaces I see, not a problem, you can stay right here,”
He makes a note on his paper as Jungkook carefully unfurls himself from Namjoon’s arms, revealing his tear-stained cheeks to the room.
“Would it be possible for me to see you alone another time Namjoon? I would also like to discuss the tension you yourself show around Jungkook as his primary support system”
“What do you mean the tension I show!?” Namjoon asks, a little sharply.
“That tension Mr. Kim” The doctor states, returning to honorifics in response to the change in tone.
Namjoon looks a little ashamed of himself for snapping at the man, immediately aware of the way his demeanour changes when Jungkook’s scent sours.
“Right doctor, of course… Do you have any appointments later this week?” He has zero interest in having his brain examined by a shrink, but he would do anything for Jungkook, or anyone in his home.
“You can arrange with my assistant on your way out. Thank you so much for coming on request Namjoon. Jungkook, I look forward to seeing you next time” The doctor opens the door and ushers the pair back into the waiting room.
___________________
You and Yoongi had just finished showering when Namjoon and Jungkook returned. You had managed to find more than a few ways to keep your mind from wandering to how their joint session might’ve been going. Hoseok had regretfully had to go in for the early shift at the karaoke place, although the two of you had tried very hard to make him call in sick to keep you company. That man had an iron resolve, any other member of your pack would’ve folded the instant your shirt left your body.
Both men were stood before you in one piece, and with no police escort, which meant the session must’ve gone much better than you had given them credit for. Yoongi had money on Namjoon insulting the doctor in some way that would result in a restraining order; and while you had a little more faith, the issue of Namjoon’s ego and temper had made you a little nervous of the potential outcome.
Still, the pair didn’t seem overly eager to share what had actually happened within the meeting, only sharing that Namjoon would be returning on his own later in the week. So instead of talking about it, you got comfy on the sofa and waited for your other lovers to return to you.
By nine pm, Taehyung still wasn’t home. This had become the norm in recent weeks, but it didn’t make you any less sad. He claimed his family were just being needy at the moment and promised it would finish soon and he'd be home more, but each time he said that, he seemed less and less convinced by his own words.
The house was at a loss without him too. You'd all been together for such a short time, but one person missing felt long a limb had been detached. Lately, Taehyung wasn't even bothering to join any of you in bed, if he came home at all. You'd all wake up to find him sleeping on the sofa cuddling a pillow, still fully dressed from the day before. Jimin was furious with him, he'd given him the silent treatment for about an hour before he caved. Taehyung had seemed far too sad to stay mad at him.
After yet another night of watching Jungkook and Jimin mope, while the others were just restless, you decide enough is enough. It's obvious that Taheyung is unhappy with how much his parents are piling on, and it's obvious that no one around here is going to be comfortable until he is back to his normal self. So it's time someone did something about it.
You text Taehyung to make sure he is not on the way home, only to receive 'Sorry babe, probably going to just sleep here' as a response almost immediately.
You feel a little guilty about your next move, but it needs to be done. You check the Find My Phone app and track Taehyung, finding his parents' home address. Grabbing Yoongi's car keys, you tell the others you're heading to the store and then you follow the little green dot all the way to a very large estate.
You chew your lip the entire drive, feeling guilty about lying to the others about where you were going, feeling even guiltier about stalking Taehyung's phone to find him. You contemplate turning off to actually go to the store and leaving Taehyung alone, but you just can't shake the feeling he needs help, and more than anything you just want to see him.
You drive up a dauntingly long driveway and park Yoongi's car next to Taehyung's. The door is equally as imposing with a large golden knocker right in the middle, it reminds you a little of your ex-husband's parents' house, and it really drives home exactly how much money must be behind Taehyung's family. You grab the knocker and bang before your nerves get the better of you, although you find yourself wondering if it's loud enough when no one immediately comes to the door.
You shuffle your feet awkwardly as you wait, it feels like hours until the huge wooden door swings open revealing an ageing gentleman in a suit.
"Good evening Madam, I'm afraid we will not be needing anything you're selling today," He says and moves to shut the door.
"Wait!" You say a little too loud.
The man pauses with the door ajar.
"I'm here to see Taehyung,"
"Master Taehyung did not make us aware of any visitors and he is extremely busy. He is unavailable to be seen."
"Bu... but" You stammer trying to think of a plausible excuse for your random late night appearance.
The older gent just raises an eyebrow as if he is waiting for something entertaining, knowing you have no straws to grasp at.
"He sent me his location and told me to bring him some clothes, they are in the car..."
"Master Taehyung has plenty of clothes here. Now I must ask that you leave now miss, before I have to escalate the situation.
Once again the man moves to shut the door. You sigh and resign yourself to having to give up, turning to make your way back towards the car. It probably wouldn't do to linger too long, families like this have a penchant for calling police on people they deem to be trespassing. You watched your own butler deal with the police far through the crack in your curtain far too often to think the threat would be a bluff.
Dejectedly, you take one last look at the large house. It really was a beautiful build with ivy hanging from trellises scaling the walls. If you had to guess you probably put the house at at least 200 years old. The stonework seemed old but wonderfully maintained and the windows had that slightly warped appearance that only old glass possessed. Observing more closely, you could see a very familiar, but confused, face staring back at you through one of those windows.

Donald Duck, Della Duck, Daisy Duck, Gus Goose and Gyro Gearloose's Easter and Birthday Celebration - Donald's Family and Friends - Quack Pack AU - Duckverse
Even though I know it’s past, I wish everyone a happy Easter once again, according to the Julian calendar, as well as the one that has passed, as well as a happy belated birthday to Gyro Gearloose and Gus Goose and happy birthday to my best and favorite character, Donald Duck, who will celebrate his 90th birthday this year! And happy birthday to Daisy and Della Duck, since they are also celebrating their birthday at the same time as Donald Duck. And together with their friends and relatives. And they are present at Donald’s jubilee 90th birthday. I drew as the end of the celebration of the Easter holidays as well as the birthday of my favorite characters.
On June 7, 1940, Donald's classic short “Mr Duck Steps Out” was shown, featuring Daisy Duck for the first time. 9/6/1934 The Classic Short "The Wise Little Hen" was shown and Donald Duck appeared there for the first time. Donald Duck will become one of the main stars of not only Disney, but also cartoon films, comics and video games at all. Certainly there is no need to tell his history. Della Duck is first mentioned in the comic book Donald's Nephews, and then made her first appearance in the 1994 comic strip "The Empire Builder from Calisota" by Don Rosa, from The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. Gyro Gearloose first appeared in the comic "Gladstone's Terrible Secret" published in May 1952 by Carl Barks. On May 18, 1938, in the classic short "Donald's Cousin Gus", Donald's cousin Gus Goose, who always likes to eat, appears for the first time. So I wish everyone a happy birthday. Certainly to all who are Orthodox (especially those who celebrate according to the Julian calendar and who celebrate after the Jewish Passover) who live in Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Armenia, Greece, Serbia, Cyprus, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Ukraine, Montenegro, North Macedonia and to all Orthodox people living around the world, I wish you a happy Easter! Christ is risen! Христос васкресе!
If someone asks me, yes, it is celebrated differently among the Orthodox and differently among the Catholics and Protestants, so it turned out to be a completely different Easter this year. Don’t worry, there will be a joint Easter next year. So Orthodox Easter fell on this day. The day he was crucified and died, resurrected and defeated death and the devil and proved that there is eternal life for all of us who believe. Glory to Jesus Christ who died for all of us sinners and rose again for all of us to save us!
This time Jose Ze Carioca (José Carioca-Zé Carioca) and Donald found themselves together and applied one traditional Serbian custom for Easter, and that is beating eggs, hitting egg on egg. The one who hits well and leaves that egg undamaged, is the winner. So I put them on this time too. And don’t worry, they don’t eat eggs, they are mostly artificial eggs. ;)
I drew a drawing, this time with adults keeping the Easter tradition and celebrating a birthday and mostly I combined from Quack Pack, The Legend of The Three Caballeros, Donald Duck comics (Italian comics), Ze Carioca comics (Brazilian comics), Darkwing Duck, Ducktales both versions, Double Duck and Duck Avenger (Paperinik) comics. It's mostly part of that Quack Pack AU of mine. I drew mostly in my own way. In addition to beating eggs, there are also Easter eggs, cherries and birthday cake. Mostly present in this drawing are Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Jose Ze Carioca (José Carioca-Zé Carioca), Rosinha Maria Vaz, Nestor, Aracuan Bird, Panchito Pistoles, Della Duck, Gyro Gearloose, Dickie Duck, Little Helper, Gus Goose, Fethry Duck, Gladstone Gander, Abner Whitewater Duck, Uno Ducklair (One-Uno), Drake Mallard, Fenton Crackshell, Gandra Dee, Morgana Macawber, Launchpad McQuack, Lyla Lay and Kay K. I wanted to add more characters, but unfortunately not all of them would fit on my drawing. Sorry!
I hope you like this drawing and this idea and feel free to like and reblog this, just don’t use these same ideas of mine without mentioning me. Thank you! Also Happy Easter to everyone once again and Happy Birthday to Gyro Gearloose, Gus Goose, Daisy Duck and Della Duck! But especially happy birthday to my best duck, Donald Duck! And this is just the beginning of that celebration!
This is also a gift for my friends @isabellanajera, @you-big-palooka, @elmer-dat-gander , @fantasticenthusiasttale and @barbiedisneyavenger as well as for a friend who recently celebrated her birthday, happy birthday dear @nuvemzinhacorderosa ! I hope you like this!

Do you know about Hermitcraft? If so, imagine Hermit!Yuu. Just, they easily managed to renovate Ramshackle and are just vibing and being nice. And if you want them to be even weirder, well, the Watcher Grian and Watcher Pearl theories exist for a reason!
:0000 I got into Hermitcraft last year, and I absolutely adore them!
Honestly, I think that if Yuu was a Watcher, then they'd just assume that they stepped into the wrong portal and just accepted it.
Honestly, I don’t know what kind of vibe Yuu would be as a builder, but I can totally imagine them embracing the old rickety style of Ramshackle and basing the area around the idea.
They still keep it all “old run down” but make it actually livable and safe. They sometimes joke about being a rat who scrounging around the place. They would absolutely pop out of nowhere.
Malleus comes to visit and notices that Ramshackle got an upgrade, though not in a "new and shiny way". When he approaches, he notices someone living there, wearing some worn out PJ's. They interact like in canon, but Malleus asks them why they kept Ramshackle as...that.
"Well, Headmaster Crowley said it had charm...and yeah, I can see it. I just had to make it the best version of charm as I could! Honestly, it was a welcome challenge to not fill out certain holes."
They then begin talking about building and architecture. Somehow, Mallues convinces Yuu to create a gargoyle statue in front of Diasomnia. A week later, he finds a rather detailed and beautifully crafted gargoyle on the front lawn of the dorm. Yuu now has a loyal customer :)
Anyways, I think that Yuu would start building small things in the forest, slowly expanding outward but not too extravagant - just trying to be polite to the enviornment. Sometimes they see Rook around the forest doing...whatever Rook does. Occasionally, Rook will approach Yuu and compliment whatever they are building. Which ends up with Rook suggesting additions to make the building more beautiful.
I also like to think that Yuu would create customized rooms for the people who frequent their dormitory (IE - First years.). Mainly, the focus is tailoring the design to the guest, but keeping the old timey feel to the main theme. For example, Yuu buying old photos of famous Magishift players for Epel's room - or maybe some old fae room design (courtesy of Lilia) for Sebek's room. If you count Ortho as a first year, that'd be hard, but then Yuu has the genius idea of placing a bunch of old technology in the room for Ortho to use.
OOOO, also an entire room for the ghosts! Yuu just places a bunch of ghost motifs and prank machines for the ghosts to use on whoever they please.

I'm curious, why have you chosen Neocities to host your comic, as opposed to a mainstream webcomic site such as Webtoon or Tapas?
Well actually, now might be a good time to mention that I will also be posting the comic to Webtoons.
I haven't said anything about this before, and that was because I wasn't sure I wanted to post on either Webtoons or Tapas. The main reason for that being that I'm using the classic page-by-page format, and Webtoons and Tapas are both built for mobile apps and are better suited to the infinite scroll format.
I know you can still post single pages or even a sequence or pages on those comic apps, but the format just doesn't lend itself well to that, and I wanted to go with a more page by page format like indie comic websites do (like gunnerkrig court, daughter of the lilies, etc.)
However, I will be posting the comic to Webtoons just to help with visibility (I'm going with Webtoons just because I'm more familiar with it than Tapas). It's just a little harder to find out about an indie comic if it's only available on some random website. But even still, I want to have my own random little website.
So why go with Neocities then? The short answer is: I hate working with corporations.
In our modern day, big companies call the shots and tell us what we can and can't do. If I post my comics to Webtoons, some executive higher up can just decide that they're "moving in a different direction" and dump me and my comic out on the streets.
I used to work for a company that seemed to have actual people's interests at heart. I was skeptical at first, and then I grew to love working there. But just over the course of a year and a half the company changed so drastically that I was forced to resign. It was all about making more money, shoving out more products, and they simple stopped listening to anyone who complained. Not even any of the managers liked this either, and they had no way to voice their concerns in any way that mattered.
I know this sounds like an angsty back story, but you seriously cannot trust companies for anything. One of the reasons I want to be an independent comic artist is so that I don't have to rely on a company for consistent pay. Companies aren't built for people, they're made to make more and more money in an endless cycle.
Neocities is different. it's almost like a workers union for internet freedom. They feel to me like a group of rebels united against the conglomerates. A rag-tag group of people who still believe that you should be able to do what you want to do, how you want to do it, (within reason of course) without having to ask some company for permission and paying upfront first.
Neocities lets you customize your website to make it look exactly the way you want it to, and they let you do it for free. I tried looking into making a website with Wix (what I determined was one of my better choices for a websites builder) and I was bombarded the whole time with little pop-ups trying to make me use their Ai assistant to do everything for me. What is even the point of making my own website if I have to follow some set template and use an experimental technology to set it up?
But all this to say, I want to have more freedom in how I publish my comic to the world, I've been burned by companies before, so there's no way I'm entrusting them with my labor of love.
TLDR: I chose Neocities because I wanted more freedom, but I will be posting SotF to Webtoons for more visibility.
Thank You for the ask! :D

WordPress Shifts in industry news I am not a part of but enjoy gossiping about
I used to do a a lot of work using WordPress as a system. It's easy, cheap to build and maintain with, etc.
I do not anymore. This has nothing to do with WordPress. It was exclusively a "a few years ago I received the opportunity to bow out of the industry as a graphic designer in order to pursue a cocktail of art, fantasy, economy, and business"
I used to be a customer of Advanced Custom Fields. I am no longer, for the same reason as above, I am no longer a web developer. Their service was good to me and I enjoyed it tremendously while I had it.
I have therefore no stake in this game and thus no public opinion.
And yet I enjoy the drama of it all so here we are.
WordPress is forking.
Or maybe it isn't a fork.
The core, mesmerizing, (and I do not say this lightly) potentially civilization changing beauty of open source software is the ability to meet different, often diametrically opposing, priorities.
"Civilization-changing is kinda heavy language?"
via
No :)
A significant portion of the internet as we know it today is powered by WordPress. It has and will continue to shape the entire scope and scale of internet development for longer than anyone reading this will be alive -- for good and for ill.
WordPress was primarily a blogging system that could build websites as well. With the introduction of externally-based Advanced Custom Fields, it became a powerhouse web builder as well.
The short version: You could easily say "put this image / text / whatever here in the template."
It was a game changer to many smaller scale developers (hi) with a tiny staff. It allowed us (me + team) to grow much more powerful very quickly and very affordably.
Digging into the news further, there is / was chatter about pulling in the core functionality of ACF into WP's main system.
It brings an interesting point to the open source space.
And goes to my original points above.
If you make something open, how much control do you have over it? If you profit from it, how long can this last before it gets pulled into the core?
That is a risk as a developer -- you could potentially lose your business because it gets folded into the larger entity, but on the other hand, until that point, your reward was immediate accessibility to a market / system a million times larger than you, that you had previously no hand in building.
It is a tragedy of the commons.
I had long forgotten this phrase.
I'm familiar with the concept -- a public finite resource is at risk of overuse from all because it is available to all -- it largely joins with the core issue of economics itself -- how do you find balance with finite resources and infinite desires.
It is the nature of art on the internet.
Artists want to make art and it to be seen, they put it online. Audiences do not by nature owe them anything, the art is available to view for free, but without audience support, the art will stop or degrade in posting frequency.
More directly, to the WordPress sphere, what is the responsibility to the core system (thus other users)? What is the responsibility of the users to the core system?
Objectively speaking, building and maintaining a system like WordPress requires a lot of resources.
The open source nature allows for competing priorities to be served provided enough resources, because you can always say "I don't want to follow your path of ABC, I want to do BCD" and then do that.
The open source nature also allows you to say "I made a widget, it costs $100/year"
But the core can say "Hm. That would make our system stronger. Yoink. Now it's ours and is free."
Then you have a market race to push to build the better whatever.
I...
...do not have answers.
To any of this.
I am left realizing.
It feels like macroeconomics and personal economics grinding against each other in a way that is traditionally seen across countries (if not the world) and decades (if not centuries) -- but in this instance, it's a much smaller scale (kinda? WP powers a lot of the internet and influences a significant portion of what it doesn't power).
And weeks and months.
Instead of decades and centuries.
This is a fun piece of bone to chew on.
I freely admit it is fun exclusively because I am not involved. If I were, it would be fucking nerve wracking.

I would love to hear more about Del if you're willing to share!! /nf
Where are they from/what's their origin? How did they meet Romeo? What are their scars from? How are they so silly!!!
giggling and kicking my feet because im SO EXCITED to talk more about Del!! thank you so much for asking!! :oD!! this may get a bit lengthy so i deeply apologize..
Delaney's an interesting little freak.. They're well known as a traveling merchant/adventurer-for-hire, people seek them out at their shop and pay for him to gather materials and items for them. His main expertise is in the Nether.
However, their shop used to be located in this no-where fishing town, and while his business was still thriving; many people who lived in this town were unhappy with such an unusual individual living there and the bad company (his customers) that would come into town for Del.
Two years after the events of Season 2, Jesse is working on a large expansion project for BeaconTown, the walls are expanding so more people can move into the town. However, with such a large project, he needs a large influx in building materials. He explains this to Petra in a letter, and she responds about rumors she's heard of Delaney's business being super helpful. Jesse goes and seeks Delaney out, says that he would hire and pay Del to help provide with building blocks and also offers for Del to move into BeaconTown. Delaney HAPPILY ACCEPTS this offer, desperate to get out of this no-where fishing town.
After Del builds his shop, Nether's Treasures, is when he meets Romeo for the first time! For the past two years, Romeo has been flipping between the Underneath and BT, assisting both Xara and Jesse in rebuilding projects as his community service. Jesse assigns Romeo to help Delaney out with deliveries, where the two would fill up shulker boxes with blocks and fill out orders for builders around the expanded part of the city.
Romeo is.. offput by Delaney. Upon their first meeting, Del hands him a shulker and the two set off for their deliveries, but the whole time hounds him with different questions about Romeo's life. For many reasons, Romeo does not want to answer questions about his past. Del, in desperate need for a friend however, wants to see what makes this redhead tick.
as for Delaney's scars.. I may throw together a comic sometime soon of how he got those, but for now I can share that they're related to the Witherstorm!
(here's a doodle from two months ago that's based on that one trend from a movie i did not watch.. but i thought the line really fit their first meetings :o] )

THE GREAT HOUSES OF WESTEROS. all sentences here are taken from Game of Thrones, History and Lore wed series made by HBO for the Game of Thrones series. This is potentially, part one with only a few of the main great houses histories seen in the show. change whatever you see fit.
House Baratheon.
Ours is the Fury. These are the words of the black stag of Baratheon. A battle cry echoed throughout the land in rebellion.
This name seized the Iron Throne from the Mad King Aerys Targaryen ending a dynasty nearly 300 years old.
House Baratheon was born in the wars of conquest, when Aegon the dragon invaded Westeros.
The last of the storm kings foolishly left the safety of his stronghold and met the Baratheon warlord in open battle.
Orys took his lands, his holdings and his daughter.
Orys was said to be a half-brother to Aegon Targaryen. If this were true, a little blood of the Dragon mingled with that of the stag in those days.
The seat of House Baratheon is storm's end, a legendary keep raised in the Age of Heroes.
Legend has it that Durran the first storm king raised the keep with the aid of bran the Builder of House Stark forging a centuries-long connection with the Stormlands and the north.
Baratheon remained loyal enough to the crown while Targaryen Kings came and went. But loyalty has its limits.
When Rhaegar Targaryen, Aerys’ vile son and heir, abducted Lyanna Stark, it was time to act.
Baratheon, Stark, Jon Arryn and the Tully's United in rebellion against Rhaegar and his father the Mad King.
That bit of Dragon blood in my veins came in well as it made me a distant relation to the Targaryen dynasty.
House Stark.
Starks of Winterfell trace their descent to the first men in the Age of Heroes.
The family's founder was Brandon the Builder, who in the aftermath of the long night helped establish the Night's Watch.
Legend has it he enlisted the aid of giants and the powerful magic of the children of the forest to raise the mighty wall which protected the realm for generations.
He went on to build the ancestral seat of Winterfell and reigned as the first King in the North.
Starks reigned as kings for thousands of years even withstanding the invasion of the Andals as the southern kingdoms fell and the children of the forest were driven away.
The North stood strong maintaining its religious customs.
Eventually the reign of the kings of winter came to an end with the coming of Aegon the Conqueror.
After Aegon and his dragons destroyed the combined armies of the Reach and the Rock at the field of fire, King Torrhen Stark bent the knee and swore fealty to the Targaryen dynasty, in order to spare the destruction of Winterfell and his people.
He was forever after known as the king who knelt .
The Starks take great pride in their history and traditions, it is one of the few noble houses that still keeps the old gods.
Its ancestral sword ice was forged in ancient Valyria and has been passed down through the generations.
Much like their sigil, the great Direwolf, House Stark is the stuff of legend in the north and throughout the Seven Kingdoms.
Their family words, Winter is Coming, serve as a reminder of their beginnings in the wake of the long night and the importance of things to come.
House Lannister.
Overlooking the sunset sea, sits Casterly Rock, ancestral seat of House Lannister.
Below it lies Lannisport, one of the great cities of Westeros, a centre for trade culture and the great Lannister fleet.
One of the most productive mines lies beneath Casterly Rock itself, making House Lannister the wealthiest of all the noble houses.
This allows House Lannister to finance many endeavors of other noble houses even the king himself has sought credit from Casterly Rock.
From time to time we Lannister's claim our descent from the Andal invaders and through the female bloodline.
According to the legend Lan, using only his wits, won Casterly Rock from the noble house of Casterly during the Age of Heroes.
The Lannisters reigned as kings of the rock for thousands of years and worked to make it the envy of the rest of the Seven Kingdoms
Seeing both the threat and opportunity the Targaryens represented, Loren wisely surrendered and aided Aegon in his further conquest of Westeros.
It is neither luck nor royal favor that makes our house prosperous.
There have been times in our history where some have thought of us as weak or opulent.
Our vassal, the Reynes of Castamere, dared to rise up against the Lannisters, and they learned how dangerous it can be to taunt a lion.
I made an example of them to anyone who doubts our might. They even made a quaint song about the fates of the rains of castamere.
Our words, Hear me Roar, but there are other words that should be remembered when crossing a lion of Casterly Rock a Lannister always pays his debts.
House Targaryen.
The Targaryen dynasty United the Seven Kingdoms and lasted nearly three centuries.
It was a dynasty forged in fire sealed in blood and destroyed by rebellion.
Instead of attempting to reclaim the eastern lands of his ancestors Aegon sailed west for the Seven Kingdoms, his sister's Visenya and Rhaenys at his side.
To keep the bloodlines pure, Aegon continued the custom of his Valyrian ancestors and took both of his sister's as wives .
He had the swords of his enemies melted down by the fiery breath of his dragon Balerion, the Black Dread and forged into the iron throne.
The capital city of King's Landing was built on the eastern coast where Aegon and his sisters first came ashore and Aegon ordered the construction of a royal castle.
For 300 years the Targaryen dynasty stayed strong in the face of rebellion, civil war and plague .
But the line of Dragon Kings was broken when Aerys Targaryen the second of his name, was overthrown in rebellion.
Aerys was betrayed and slaughtered by Ser Jaime Lannister, a member of his own Kingsguard.
Rhaegar perished on the field of battle at the hands of Robert Baratheon who claimed the iron throne for himself .
Prince Viserys, rightful king of the Andals and ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and his sister Daenerys were spirited away to the Free Cities of the East.

Chuck's Backpack Hero Mods
So, I've obviously been hyper-fixating on Dungeon Meshi lately, but that isn't all I do. For the past year, I've been making mods for my current favorite game: Backpack Hero!
My collection of mods! Look here if you want to check out any of these mods for yourself!
So in this post, I thought it would be fun to go over all my mods, and share some of my favorite details.
Chuck's Bionicle Mod: contains 245 items
Naturally, my first mod was a Bionicle mod. I love Bionicle. While I did a lot of custom spritework for this mod, shout out to Danska's Bionicle Builder, which is what I used for the masks and set-accurate weapons.
The mod's main gimmick is loot boxes! You can find mask packs, and equipment packs which can be opened for random items from the corresponding set wave. If you're real lucky, you may even find a bulk parts pack, which contains random equipment packs!
Nearly every set is represented, and a wide assortment of items from MNOG and VNOG are included too. As my first pack, the balancing was pretty spotty at first, but a few updates have fixed the more egregious examples. Did you know it took me 6 months to realize that the nektann robots had accidentally been set to unfindable?
Chuck's Plants vs Zombies Mod: contains 654 items??? (probably cut that down to like, ~350ish, since packets don't really count as a separate item)
My second mod, and hoo boy is it a doozy. Probably my favorite mod, this mod has a ton of work put into it, containing every plant from the orginal game, PvZ 2, and chinese PvZ 2. Thats a lot of plants!
The main gimmick of this mod is plant packets. Instead of finding plants as loot, you get packets, which grow over time. Once enough encounters occur with it in your pack, it grows into the plant.
But plants aren't the only thing in this pack. There is also a suite of zombie equipment, which grows stronger based on how many plants you have. Not to mention watering cans, pinatas, guppies, and other essentials to help fuel your botanical battle pack!
Chuck's Bloons Mod: Contains 134 items (again, effective number is a lot lower due to upgrades)
Ah yes, my bloons mod. This is probably my least favorite mod, simple because of how jank it is.
Basically, monkey's grow more powerful based on how many bloons they pop. As they reach thresholds, they get upgraded. However, spriting and programming so many upgrades gets rather tedious. This, combined with the fact that playing with the mod is rather feast or famine makes me not particularly fond.
Getting enough bloons can be tricky if you don't find one of the generators, and some monkeys are just way more useful than others, since due to the effort required, fully upgraded monkeys are mostly an endless mode thing, and some of them just don't scale into endless very well.
That being said, most of the monkeys are at least okay at a base level, so in casual play, they are decent, if not exciting.
Also, the monkey loot packs being barrels makes me giggle.
Chuck's Random Items Mod: contains 10 items
A simple little pack containing a few endless focused items. Originally meant for random ideas, but the next mod ended up taking that role.
Some neat examples include the white manastone, which acts as fuel for the vanilla black manastone, the sticky token, which acts as both energy and duct tape, at the cost of gimping defense, and the Fatum Ruptor, my signature sword.
Chuck's Pack of Mediocre Items: contains 109 items
This is a fun one. Basically, when modding, one tends to make things stronger than vanilla. So I challenged myself to make a pack with intentionally weak, but useful items. That doesn't mean it's bad, just lacks a lot of the raw power my other mods have.
As such, it is my recommendation for if you want a more vanilla style pack. Some of these items are literally just vanilla items with a twist. Such as the glove of knife. Just the one. Glove of knives was OP anyway.
Plenty of cheeky little references in here too. Like the candy cane horns which fill you with rage, or the pristine blade which fractures into one of ten different variants.
Chuck's Terraria Mod: contains 111 items
Ah yes, my favorite Minecraft clone. This pack has a little of everything. You got arrows, spears, tomes of ichor based magic, what's not to love?
If you're really lucky, you might find a crate containing items from my second and third favorite mods, Thorium and Calamity. (Sorry guys, you aren't even close to beating Magic Storage in the top spot.)
This pack also has few item type gimmicks I think are cool. Spears can only be used once per turn, but they have strong AOE attacks. Bullets are arrows that can also be used only once per turn. And then there is the copper shortsword. If you swing it 999 times, something cool might happen.
Chuck's Stick Ranger Mod: 174 items
Anyone else remember this game? Man, Stick Ranger was awesome. Pity they never made a sequel. Anyway, this pack contains a wide assortment of items, including 16 weapons from each class, except angel and gunner. Gunner only gets 8. Angel gets... 34???
Yeah, I like rings. I gave them a cool mechanic where they buff other adjacent rings, like a variant of Satchel's hammers. So of course I included a ton of them.
Also, the imperial crown used to hold the record for the laggiest item I ever made, but engine optimizations has made it actually viable to use. Hooray! Much like the game it comes from, the crown massively boosts the threat enemies pose, but greatly rewards you for it.
Chuck's Neo-Battledome Mod: contains 130 items
To be perfectly honest, I never got past the level of duel-wielding scarab rings before I got banned due to my account getting hacked. Hasn't stopped me from obsessively keeping up with battledome weapon releases, even if they're currently releasing, like, three a year.
That's right, did you ever play Neopets and wished you could wield the Darigan Sword of Death? Or really wanted to own a Weird Scarab, even though it was an impossible to find yet completely ineffectual item? Well, now you can do the next best thing!
Chuck's Elder Scrolls Mod: contains 59 items
Ah, Skyrim. My first M rated game. Which I bought without my parents' permission. Honestly, get rid of those terrible blood splatters, and the strangely mild swearing, and it would pass for T. (Seriously, how do Skyrim and Stick of Truth have the same rating???)
Anyway, this mod contains items from not just skyrim, but oblivion and morrowind too. And maybe even an item or two from arena and daggerfall if you're nice.
If you collect 24 Stones of Barenziah, absolutely nothing happens. Just like in Skyrim.
Chuck's MSPA Mod: contains 49 items
Ah yes. Homestuck. I'd say it's pretty good. Shame it ended at act 7. Anyway, here's some items to shove in your sylladex backpack. Lots of Problem Sleuth items too. Those are probably a bit less polarizing.
Probably best to swiftly move along.
Chuck's Enchanting Crystals Mod: contains 18 items
A small, but simple pack. These crystals can be used to add permanent buffs to your items. The more powerful ones contain downsides though, so be careful.
Chuck's RPG Classes Mod: contains 68 items (Only 9 of which are actually findable, lol)
One of my most popular mods, this adds essences which boost various play-styles. They start off weak, but as you kill enemies, they level up! When leveling up, they branch into two options, with six of the base essences each having four different final forms.
Let me give you a hint. If you're using this, or any of my mods with upgrading items, I won't get mad if you use debug mode to check what items will do when they grow up.
Chuck's Card Slinger Mod: contains 88 items
Ask any Backpack Hero player who the worst playable character is, and we'll all agree. It's Tote. So here's a mod to try and make her more fun. Excuse the use of the thumbnail instead of a pack of items. Carvings are a pain to screenshot.
This mod contains carvings for Tote based on a variety of card games, like Hearthstone, Eternal, MtG, Inscryption, and more! Seriously, some of these are obscure as heck. Like the ones from my own card game that I have never shown off publicly.
Generally fitting into a discard-light setup, the minion cards attack each turn, but get discarded if you get attacked too many times. There are also self-discarding spells, and cards which buff your other cards.
Crown of Possibilities is my favorite TCG card of all time, and you can't change my mind.
Chuck's Mod of Loathing: contains 36 items
Couldn't really get into Kingdom of Loathing, but dang if West of Loathing and Shadows over Loathing aren't amazing games.
Anyway, items in this pack are neat, but I may have created the worst item ever in the Spittoon. It hurts you when used, but gives treasure! Most of the treasure is awful. There is only one good item in its pool. And it's a damn good one. So there I go. Reaching into every spittoon I find, taking ten damage for no reason, hoping to get lucky. If that doesn't capture the essence of the spittoon, I don't know what will.
Chuck's Backpack Battles Mod: contains 47 items
Ah yes, my third favorite backpack based game.
Some pretty neat mechanics in this mod. The versitile dagger and thirsting blade both have a mechanic where after using them for a while, they upgrade into a random crafted version. The gems also upgrade over time.
I also added some dragon eggs. I thought they were really swell. How swell? Well...
Chuck's Dragon Eggs Mod: contains 641 items!!! (Like the PvZ mod, cut that roughly in half.)
Originally based on Dragon Cave, I had to take it down and rework it with my own original sprite art. I'd say it turned out pretty good.
This mod contains eggs which hatch after a while into dragons. It is mainly focused on Pouchette, who can find the full selection, but the others can find a more limited selection too. (Except Tote. Tote never gets to have fun. Except when she finds a Darigan Sword of Death.)
I had a lot of fun figuring out the flavor for this mod. There are a ton of different dragon types, each with it's own type of effect. Tarasques are defensive, drakes have power in numbers, bug dragons are totally a real thing, and weren't the result of running out of unique body plans...
Chuck's Randomly Generated Mod: contains 38 items
Exactly what it says on the tin. I set up a random table, rolled two effects, a trigger, and a character, then made an item inspired by the results.
Chuck's Hyperrealistic Mod: contains 15 items
Gonna be honest, this one's a shitpost.
Chuck's Undertale Mod: contains 92 items
This was a fun pack to work on. I love Undertale and Deltarune, so I certainly wasn't lacking inspiration. Most of the equipment and consumables are in there, along with plenty of memes. I got you're stopsigns, a punchcard that provides massive value if you know how to exploit it, maybe even a Prunsel if you're good.
My favorite item has to be the cell phone. Each battle, you receive a random call, providing a small benefit. You might get Undyne slapping spaghetti against the receiver, you might get Papyrus complaining about spike regulations, you might get [half price baloney], you never know!
Chuck's Dredmor Mod: contains 36 items
Ever played Dungeons of Dredmor? It's very silly. And hard. I've never won a run.
Anyway, here's some random items from that game cause I felt like it. What more do you want?
Chuck's Dungeon Dice Mod: contains 52 items (more like 7 lol)
Contains items which randomize their effects at the start of each battle. Pretty cool.
Anyway, those are my mods. Enjoy a screenshot of the nonsense you can get up to with all my mods active.
Hope you enjoyed reading, and maybe enjoy playing with them!
Stay tuned for my next mod, based on Chips Challenge! This may or may not be a joke.

The eight main Houses in Westeros
The ancient dinasty: NOBLE HOUSE TARGARYEN
The Targaryens are the blood of the dragon, descendants of the supreme lords of the ancient fortress of Valyria, their heritage proclaimed by their prodigious (but some consider it inhuman) beauty: indigo or violet eyes, silver blond or platinum hair.
The ancestors of Aegon the Dragon escaped the Disaster of Valyria, and the chaos and slaughter that followed, and took refuge on Dragonstone, a stony island in the Narrow Sea. It was from there that Aegon and his sisters, Visenya and Rhaenys, set out to conquer the Seven Kingdoms.
In order to keep the royal blood pure, House Targaryen often followed the Valyrian custom of marriage between brother and sister. Aegon himself took his sisters to wife, each of whom bore him a son.
The Targaryen coat of arms is a three-headed dragon, red on a black background, each head symbolising Aegon and his sisters. Their words: 'Fire and blood'.
NOBLE HOUSE BARATHEON
The most recent of the great Houses of the Seven Kingdoms, born during the Wars of Conquest. Its founder, Orys Baratheon, is said to have been a bastard brother of Aegon the Dragon.
Orys made a dazzling military career and became one of Aegon's most valuable commanders. After defeating and killing Argilac the Arrogant, last of the kings of Storm's End, Aegon rewarded him by giving him the castle that had been Argilac's, as well as his lands and his daughter. Orys took the girl in marriage and thus adopted the banner, honours and motto of her lineage.
The Baratheon coat of arms is the crowned stag, black on a gold field. Their words: 'Ours is the fury'.
NOBLE HOUSE Stark
The Starks derive their origin from Brandon the Builder and the ancient kings of Winterfell. For thousands of years they ruled from Winterfell as kings of the North, until Torrhen Stark, the King Who Knelt, chose to swear allegiance to Aegon the Dragon rather than face him in battle.
Their coat of arms is a grey direwolf on an ice-white field. Their words: 'Winter is coming'.
NOBLE HOUSE LANNISTER
Tall, handsome and blond-haired, the Lannisters have the blood of Andal adventurers and conquered a vast kingdom in the valleys and hills of Westeros.
Through descent in the female line, they claim to be descendants of Lann the Clever, the legendary master of deception of the Age of Heroes.
The gold from the mines of Casterly Rock and the Golden Tooth made them the richest of all the great houses of the Seven Kingdoms.
Their coat of arms is a golden lion on a purple field. Their motto: 'Hear my roar'.
NOBLE HOUSE ARRYN
The Arryn are descended from the kings of the Mountains and the Vale, one of the oldest and purest lines of the nobility of the Andals.
Their coat of arms is the falcon surmounting the moon, white on a sky-blue background. Their motto is 'As high as honour'.
NOBLE HOUSE TULLY
Although lords for thousands of years of rich lands and a magnificent castle in Riverrun, the Tullys have never reigned as kings.
During the Wars of Conquest, the entire region with many rivers belonged to Harren the Black, king of the Iron Islands. Harren's grandfather, King Harwyn Hardhand, had taken the Trident from Arrec, King of Storm's End, whose ancestors, three hundred years earlier, had conquered the whole region as far as the Neck. A vain and cruel tyrant, Harren the Black was little loved by his subjects, so many of the river lords abandoned him to join the armies of Aegon the Dragon. The first to do so was Edmyn Tully of Riverrun. When Harren and all his descendants perished in the fall of Harrenhal, Aegon rewarded House Tully by granting Lord Edmyn dominion over the lands of the Trident and requiring the other lords to swear allegiance to him.
The emblem of the Tullys is a leaping trout, silvery in a waving red and blue field. Their motto is: 'Family, duty, honour'.
NOBLE HOUSE TYRELL
The Tyrells came to power as attendants of the Reach kings, whose dominion included the fertile plains of the south-west, from the plains of Dorne and the Blackwater Rush to the shores of the Sunset Sea.
By the female line, they proclaim their descent from Garth Greenhand, gardener to the king of the first men, who wore a crown made of vines and flowers on his head and was the author of the fertility of the earth.
When King Mern, the last of the Reach kings, perished in the Battle of the Field of Fire, his attendant Harlen Tyrell offered the surrender of Highgarden to Aegon Targaryen and swore allegiance to him. Aegon then granted him the castle and dominion over the Reach.
The Tyrell coat of arms is a golden rose on a grass-green field. Their motto is: 'Grow strong'.
NOBLE HOUSE MARTELL
Nymeria, warrior queen of the Rhoyne, brought her ten thousand ships to land in Dorne, the southernmost of the Seven Kingdoms, and took Lord Mors Martell as her own husband. It was with her help that Mors swept away all other rivals for the dower of Dorne.
The rhoynish influence remains strong, however. That is why the rulers of Dorne call themselves "princes" and not "kings". According to the law of Dorne, lands and titles pass to the eldest heir, whether male or female.
Unique in the Seven Kingdoms, Dorne was never conquered, not even by Aegon the Dragon. It did not become part of the enlarged realm until two hundred years after the Wars of Conquest, and that annexation was by marriage and treaty, not by fire and sword. By marrying Princess Myriah of House Martell, and giving his own sister in marriage to the ruling prince of Dorne, the peaceful King Daeron II Targaryen triumphed where all warrior kings before him had failed.
The Martell coat of arms is a red sun pierced by a javelin. Their motto is: 'Unbowed, unbent, unbroken'.

Prism Review!
So since I'm always trying to find new Minecraft servers to play and there's far too many to pick from so! I have decided to start making proper reviews for different servers. Now these reviews will look at multiple things such as their webstore for in-game things, ranks, unique features, builds, community etc.!
So onto the review of Prism (A Minecraft Survival/Creative Server)
Prism has a very well-made Survival spawn. The main building has a very simple interior to explore, showing some basic information like staff, a world map and some very simple decorations!
It's not crowded with text, NPCs or other material as to not overwhelm a new player!
Instead of crowding the main spawn, they have a rather large city! Where you can find the crates, PVP arena, shops and pretty much everything! Promoting exploration of Spawn and for players to hang out and be more centralized.
Another cool thing about these buildings is it also used them for player shops. You can go onto the discord, open a ticket, and you'll be able to get a shop!
Having these player shops at spawn instead of having an /AH or Admin Shop is a way better approach to facilitate trade! As it makes, the server have more character and life for it.
They also have a few other note able buildings in Spawn such as... a PVP arena (Picture on the Left) and a Drop Party maze (Picture on the Right) Both of which are really gorgeous buildings! that both really fit the theme of Spawn!
They also have Crates! Which can both be obtained via buying a rank (We'll come to that later) and voting, these crates don't give anything to crazy as to break the game and since you can't just buy the keys it luckily doesn't try to promote gambling in anyway.
Now these crates offer your typical stuff but they also each have custom armor/items in them, I would say similarly to over reviews the best way to make your custom items stand out amongst the crowd is to use a CIT pack to give them a unique look and more collectable and sought after.
One great feature this server offers is Player warps! allowing people to share rather impressive towns and buildings such as an amazing Museum full of all the custom events and items the server has had or an amazing zoo to explore!
I should also mention, they have a rather nice tutorial setup to help players get acquainted with core features and rules! The only thing I would say… When you walk around each part a command block is triggered and some text gets posted into chat. that wouldn't be an issue, but the text is spammed way too fast!
Making it kind an overwhelming to read and understand all the information being given to a new player, a better approach to do this would be to make use of pressure plates or buttons to activate the text as to prevent spamming and allow players to go through it at their own pace.
I won't talk to much about the Creative realm on this server due to it being still in beta, but I will give my brief opinions on it along with the Event realm.
With most servers in my opinion they go with a super basic spawn for Creative, nothing to creative or interesting but Prism does have a Massive and gorgeous spawn and layout for the Creative world.
They do offer some rather average features like world edit! I would recommend to help improve the creative mode.. I'd highly recommend adding a Voxel Sniper plugin and the Axiom plugin to spice it up more
Moving right along to the Event realm, don't got much to say since they had no active events at the moment but the spawn for it was really nice!
Along with the Event realm they do have a hub world which is very cute, colorful and bright! with not to much crowding the main spawning platform.
But now we need to talk about one of the most important elements of any server. Monetization it's something all servers must do in order to keep running, unlike what some may think. Running a server isn't free, you have to pay for the server host, plugins, devs, builders, artists all kinds of things in order to make a good running server
Firstly we have Ranks which there are 9 of in Total but 7 are permanent and 2 are yearly subscriptions. The Permanent Ranks start at Quartz Which is ($5.00 USD) and ends at Topaz which is ($45.00 USD) These ranks gives you typical things like more homes, flight command, more plots in creative and weekly kits! The two Rank subscriptions starts at Iridium which is ($60.00 USD) and ends at Prism which is ($120.00 USD).. Which gives you the same perks as the regular Iridium which is ($5.00 USD) and Prism at ($10.00 USD)
Having a subscription based ranking system is always doomed to fail since most people won't want to shill out a yearly payment to a Minecraft server, sure does that help operational costs? Yes but its better to just make Ranks one time purchases than to do a subscription based model.
Next we have bundles which I do have very mixed feelings about first we got a Survival Money Boosts which is ($10.00 USD) which gives everyone Online $5,000 in ingame currency. There is also a Rank Bundle Boost which starts at ($10.00 USD) and gives everyone Online 2 Rank Bundle Keys.. The reason I have a slight issue with these is being able to add that much money into the games economy by just buying it is destined to completely destroy a servers economy eventually! its best to make ingame currency only available by playing on the server wither that having a jobs plugin or at a player market or even voting!
Along with that even though this isn't to crazy of selling crate keys, I still don't think promoting gambling in Minecraft is very good. again having crates isn't necessarily bad but if you have to pay real money for them even if it goes to everyone is still bad. Its better to just have them earnable while playing or via voting!
Now to wrap this up with the Extras which offers you RGB Nicknames starts at ($2.50 USD) which isn't to wild. Under the Donations tab there is a ($1.00 USD) option which is also totally fine as it just helps the server run!
So in conclusion this server ranks A for me! it has some flaws but it also offers a lot of really good features, builds and other things to enjoy! This server has a great community and nice staff! So if they keep working hard it will pay off in the long run!
But don't take my word for it go play the server for yourself!
Ip: play.prismparty.net
Disclaimer: Just know these reviews aren't personal or anything and don't take anything I have to say for law, its just my silly opinion! So with that being said don't send any hate towards the Owner, Staff or the server that I review! Lastly if there is a server you wish for me to review feel free to drop me an ask and I will try to review it
Keep on mining!

Dunbar "Mercat" Cross.
Most of the Mercat Crosses you see over our country have been rebuilt, either in the 18 or 1900's, and to an extent this one has been too.
The Dunbar Cross is thought to have been patched together in 1912 from a stone pillar which was once part of an old coaching inn, gargoyles from a religious building and a now missing modern cement thistle.
Mercat crosses were erected in cities, towns and villages which had been granted the right by the monarch, a bishop or a baron to hold a regular market.
As well as being a gathering place for traders, they were often accompanied by a tron or beam used for weighing goods, and a custom house.
Edinburgh has too such crosses, most of you, locals and visitors alike, will have seen the main one near St Giles on the Royal Mile, the second one is just inside Canongate Kirkyard, both have been moved, or rebuilt from their original place, but that's a different story, back to this one I seen on Thursday.
Dunbar was given burgh status by David II King of Scots in 1370, when trade in items such as wool and hides was taking place through Berwick on Tweed and Roxburgh.
Because the towns were in the hands of the English, customs duties were not being paid to the Scottish royal exchequer. And to counteract the problem, the charter granted to George, Earl of March and his heirs the right to create Dunbar a ‘free’ burgh, with burgesses given the right to trade and the establishment of a market cross in the town.
The first Mercat Cross would probably have consisted of a simple wooden pillar on a stone base and would later have been replaced by a more permanent stone structure, for almost four centuries it was the focus of the trade in goods in the burgh.
But by the 18th century towns across Scotland – including Dunbar – were in the grip of modernisation. It’s thought the mercat cross was seen as a nuisance which obstructed traffic through the high street and was dismantled. The aforementioned Canongate Cross was not moved until 1953, see the original position by clicking HERE
Dunbar's Mercat Cross is thought to have been lost, but in 1911 it was found in the garden of one of the town’s banks.
It was lowered into place outside the Town Hall in 1912 by local builder George Cunningham, complete with gargoyles finial – an unusual addition, as most mercat crosses featured either baronial emblems, a lion or my favourite, a unicorn - and a modern cement thistle perched on top.
Recent research however has cast doubt on whether this was indeed a Mercat Cross at all, one theory is it is from the town’s 18th century Black Bull coaching inn, known for generations as “the Pillars”, a reference to the “well-marked entrance to the stables and outbuildings of the property”.
Some East Lothian historians have actually said that the town never had a Mercat Cross, even though the vast majority of Royal Burgh's had one.
What ever the truth the Cross in my pics is a curiosity and indeed a part of the town history.
