6 Creative Ways to Customize Magnetic Name Badges
Are you tired of the same old generic magnetic name badges? Do you want to stand out from the crowd and make a memorable impression? Look no further!
In this blog, we'll explore six creative ways to customise your Magnetic Name Badges and add a personal touch to your professional attire.
Play with Colours and Fonts
One of the simplest yet most effective ways to customise your magnetic name badges is by playing with colours and fonts. Choose a font that reflects your personality or matches your company's branding.
Experiment with vibrant colours to make your badge pop and grab attention. Whether you prefer a classic serif font or a modern sans-serif, the possibilities are endless when it comes to customising the look of your magnetic name badges.
Add Personalised Graphics or Logos
Why settle for a plain magnetic name badge when you can showcase your personality or represent your brand with a personalised graphic or logo? Whether it's your favourite hobby, a funny cartoon character, or your company's logo, adding a graphic element to your badge can make it uniquely yours.
With modern printing technology, you can easily incorporate high-quality graphics onto your magnetic name badges for a professional finish.
Include Additional Information
Make your magnetic name badges more informative by including additional details beyond just your name and title. Consider adding your contact information, social media handles, or a QR code that directs people to your online portfolio or LinkedIn profile.
By providing more context about yourself or your business, you can make it easier for others to connect with you after the initial introduction.
Get Creative with Shapes and Sizes
Who says magnetic name badges have to be rectangular? Break away from tradition and get creative with the shape and size of your badges.
Whether you opt for a circular, oval, or even a custom die-cut shape, choosing a unique shape can make your badge more memorable and visually appealing. Just be sure to consider practicality and readability when experimenting with different shapes and sizes.
Incorporate Interactive Elements
Make your magnetic name badges interactive and engaging by incorporating unique elements such as LED lights, sound modules, or even embedded NFC chips. Imagine the surprise and delight on people's faces when your badge lights up or plays a catchy tune upon activation.
These interactive elements not only make your badge stand out but also provide a memorable conversation starter during networking events or conferences.
Embrace Eco-Friendly Materials
For environmentally-conscious individuals or companies, consider customising your magnetic name badges with eco-friendly materials Website. Opt for badges made from recycled paper, bamboo, or biodegradable plastics to reduce your environmental footprint.
Not only will you be making a statement about your commitment to sustainability, but you'll also have a unique badge that sets you apart from the crowd.
Conclusion
Customising your magnetic name badges is a fun and creative way to express yourself and make a lasting impression. Whether you play with colours and fonts, add personalised graphics, or incorporate interactive elements, there are endless possibilities to make your badge uniquely yours.
So why settle for a generic badge when you can customise it to reflect your personality, brand, or values? Let your imagination run wild and create a badge that truly stands out from the rest!

Worst things the engines have received in fan mail
Thomas: a twenty page detailed letter on why I should’ve been portrayed as a Jinty
Edward: a batch of biscuits, I can’t eat but also I didn’t want to waste them so we just threw them in my firebox…
Henry: a custom model of me, but they used a LMS Jubilee Class as a base…
Gordon: a letter detailing a fan’s ride on my brother that was written a very condescending way
James: a scratch ticket that I couldn’t cash in because it’s from Australia
Percy: Scarves
Toby: really, I don’t know what this even is and judging by the look on my driver’s face, I don’t want to
Duck: this LNER badge
Donald: this flag, I don’t know where it’s from but I think it might be a variant of the german flag? *gestures to the pansexual flag*
Douglas: a bunch of stuffed ducks, they were meant for Donnie but the fan mixed us up.
Oliver: a lawsuit from my previous owner saying that sir Topham Hatt stole me from him.
Toad: not the worst thing, but someone sent me this cute little toad sitting on a toadstool with a fishing pool statue.
Bertie: nothing.
Diesel: this weird smut fanfiction that has me and Thomas as humans in high school and [CENSOR CENSOR CENSOR CENSOR CENSOR CENSOR] and then eat spaghetti with a side of breadsticks. And of course because of our tradition, we had to read it out loud… I now promise to never make fun of James and Edward when they receive fanfiction together.
Daisy: Milky, the marvelous milking cow
Bill and Ben: a stink bomb, not a bad thing for us, but it was the wort thing a fan had sent to us according to BoCo
Salty: Coupons to a grocery store
Cranky: a cease and desist from OSHA
Duncan: a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card that we can’t use because the UK doesn’t have Dunkin’ Donuts
Philip: this lovely card that says “!!^%$!! You! Get off the island or we will have you deported back to America!” Complete with a picture of the fan flipping me off.
Harold: a single screw
Emily: some fan threatening a lawsuit against me for some reason.
Sir Topham Hatt: a porn video….

Blog #6 Sharpies Subculture
The Sharpies subculture emerged in Australia in the 1960s and 1970s, and quickly gained notoriety for its distinctive style and often-violent behavior. One of the defining features of the Sharpies was their love of looking sharp, which heavily influenced their fashion choices. In particular, denim played a significant role in the Sharpies' wardrobe and became a key part of their style.
The Sharpies' denim aesthetic was characterized by fitted jeans, often with flared legs, and denim jackets. The denim jackets were usually adorned with patches, badges, and pins, and often featured bold, colorful designs. The jackets were an essential part of the Sharpies' look and were worn as a symbol of belonging to the subculture.
In addition to denim jackets, the Sharpies also popularized denim vests, which were adorned with patches and pins. The vests were often worn without shirts underneath, and were designed to show off the wearer's muscular physique.
The Sharpies' love of denim extended to their footwear as well. They often wore denim or canvas sneakers, which were customized with paint, markers, or badges to make them unique. The sneakers were worn without socks, and were often paired with brightly colored shoelaces.
One of the most iconic aspects of the Sharpies' denim fashion was their use of bleach. They would often bleach their denim jackets and jeans to achieve a faded, distressed look. This DIY approach to fashion was a reflection of the Sharpies' working-class background and their desire to create a distinctive look without spending a lot of money.
The Sharpies' denim fashion was also influenced by the music they listened to. The subculture was closely associated with the rock music of the time, particularly bands like AC/DC and Rose Tattoo. The denim jackets and vests worn by the Sharpies often featured patches and pins of their favorite bands, which further cemented the connection between the subculture and music.
Despite their reputation for violence, the Sharpies' strict moral code and emphasis on looking sharp helped to create a distinctive subculture that heavily influenced Australian fashion in the 1960s and 1970s. Their love of denim, particularly the use of bleach and customization, helped to create a unique look that was both stylish and affordable. Today, the Sharpies' fashion continues to inspire designers and fashion lovers around the world.

Battle for Brewtrip: Moving Forward
Summary: After beating another gym leader, 10-year-old Jett is interrupted by the threat of Team Scale. The gym leader, Clarisse, goes with him to confront them and their leader, Augustine. Messy reunions and uncovered secrets ensue. Author's Note: I am very happy to finally be able to share this project of mine. I've mentioned before that I've been working on this since April 2022, and I genuinely hope the final product is something others can appreciate. On that note, consider this a 4300-word portion from a hypothetical Pokemon game set in Australia. (The only TW I think is present is that a character is pregnant).
A great thud resonated through the cafe as Snorlax fell to the ground, collapsing onto its large stomach. Jett, a plucky ten-year-old seeking to complete the gym challenge, grinned victoriously as the final gym pokemon was declared unable to battle, and Jett declared the winner. The gym leader Clarisse smiled. She was a woman with something of a plump figure, and her brunette hair was pulled into a ponytail, albeit frayed from a day of exertion. She wore a comfortable midi dress and an apron, all in shades of black and pale yellow like a bumblebee, save for the pink scarf loosely wrapped around her neck.
Clarisse gave Snorlax a reassuring scratch behind the ears before returning it to its ball.
“Well done.” Clarisse congratulated. She walked across the small battlefield to Jett, and gently pressed something into his palm. Clarisse smiled again; up close, her smile was a little lopsided at one side, but no less genuine, “You’ve won your next badge.” Jett held the gym badge between his fingers, examining the teacup-like shape before adding it to the others, pinned to the front of his backpack.
“I must admit, you really ran yourself and your team ragged during that battle.” Clarisse continued. She ruffled Jett’s hair before offering that smile again, framed by the loose strands of her ponytail. “How about we head back inside and I get you a sandwich and some lemonade, on the house?” Jett nodded, voicing his agreement before following Clarisse back towards the rear entrance to her cafe. He had to slow his pace a bit to follow behind, since he didn’t want to push past as Clarisse climbed the back steps, keeping one hand firmly on the railing and the other on the apron covering her round stomach. Once inside, a fragrant smell of coffee and syrups wafted through the air, the cafe interior bustling with the conversation of its customers. Pokemon walked around the various tables, booths, and patrons, some carrying trays of dirty dishes back towards the main kitchen. Jett had already seen this once before, when he had first entered the cafe in search of its gym leader; It was no less impressive, seeing it a second time, how well the pokemon were able to work together.
Much like a diner, a long counter separated the area for customers from the area for employees, with another swinging door in the nearby corner that led into the kitchen. Many of the seats at the counter were currently empty, except for the seat closest to the back door. A tall man, his blond hair growing out unevenly from a once much shorter style, went from tapping his foot impatiently to standing up in front of Clarisse as she and Jett entered the building.
“Finally!” The man exclaimed. He threw his hands up in the air before placing one on Clarisse’s shoulder, “Are you alright? How did it go? You were gone for a while.” Clarisse chuckled, placing a hand over the man’s and giving it a squeeze.
“I’m alright, hun.” She leant up to press a kiss to his cheek. “I promise.” The man seemed to relax at that, his expression easing into a relieved smile. He turned towards Jett, who was watching the two warily. The man seemed to have calmed from his outburst though, as he tried a shrug as he extended his hand.
“I should probably introduce myself. I’m Bryce.” The man introduced himself. Jett hesitated, but he took Bryce’s invitation to smooth things over, and the two shook hands. Jett didn’t often shake hands with adults like this, so it felt a little weird for him, but thankfully it didn’t last too long. Jett gave his own name, and explained that he thought Clarisse had battled really well.
“Yeah! That’s my wife for you.” Bryce agreed, putting an arm around her, “She runs the gym just as well as she runs this whole place.” Clarisse chuckled again, but Jett noticed her stifling a flushed smile behind her hand. Jett glanced between the two of them, and he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. Thankfully, Bryce stopped the display to turn his attention back to Jett instead.
“Sorry for attacking you out of nowhere before.” Bryce held up a pokeball, which Jett knew contained Bryce’s Pangoro. “I battle any gym challengers we get to try and keep them from battling Clarisse. I don’t want her to strain herself too far.”
“I’ve been a gym leader for years, I can handle myself and the baby just fine.” Clarisse slipped out of Bryce’s hold to walk behind the counter. She started to retrieve a pre-packaged sandwich from the display, while Bryce huffed and took his earlier seat at the counter. He balanced his chin on his hand, looking at Clarisse with a wide smile. Clarisse slid the sandwich and a bottle of lemonade over to Jett, who hopped up onto the seat beside Bryce and accepted the free lunch gratefully. Clarisse also placed a clear wrapped plastic bag of poffins and berries in front of him, an extra treat for his pokemon for later. Clarisse smoothed down her dress and joined Bryce in front of the counter, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“Enjoy! Courtesy of Dusty’s Cafe.” Clarisse chirped. As Jett tucked into his food, Clarisse’s gaze wandered towards the kitchen, but before she could start moving, Bryce took her hand. He insisted she take his seat while he took care of the customers. Clarisse rolled her eyes, but sat down, adjusting a little to get comfortable on the stool. As Bryce exited the conversation through the swinging door, Clarisse turned her attention back to Jett. “Make sure you run to the Pokemon Center after this and heal up your team.” She paused briefly, and then tapped a hand against Jett’s arm, “Oh, but, be careful. Some of Team Scale have been skulking around there for a while.” Jett glanced over a mouthful of ham and cheese, going still. He asked if Clarisse knew about Team Scale. She nodded, tutting disapprovingly.
“It’s a shame really. I wish they would leave, but I have no idea what they want here.”
Jett frowned, putting his sandwich down. He mulled over his words for a moment, unsure of how best to respond. He’d run into Team Scale and its Admins several times by now. They were stealing pokemon from anyone they deemed ‘unworthy’ of owning one, and their self-proclaimed goal was to make both humans and pokemon safer, by only having the so-called ‘responsible’ people in control of the power pokemon had. But this was the first time Jett had heard an adult agree that they were a problem.
Hesitantly, Jett told Clarisse about Augustine, and how he was here for the Golden Harness. At this, Clarisse froze, her eyes staring through Jett to something far away and distant. Jett pulled back a centimetre in his chair as he watched Clarisse look quickly towards the window to the kitchen, checking that Bryce was busy cooking and not within earshot.
“Augustine.” She repeated. There was a dire look on her face as she turned towards Jett. “Augustine Lambert? White hair and glasses?” Jett looked Clarisse up and down, put off by how seriously she was searching his face. He nodded slowly. “Are you sure?”
He nodded again. Clarisse quietly sucked in a breath, one hand coming up to pull a few loose strands of hair behind her ear. She held that breath for what seemed like an eternity, before she pulled herself further around in her seat, almost facing Jett head-on. Jett’s brow creased, his heart thumping in his chest. Had he done the wrong thing? Maybe he should’ve kept what he knew about their plans to himself.
“Sweetheart.” Clarisse said, slowly and gently. The slight hunch in her shoulders as she spoke to him gave Jett the impression that if she had been standing and not pregnant, she would’ve knelt down to speak to him better. “I need you to tell me what exactly he’s doing here, okay?” Jett pulled his mouth into a line, avoiding eye contact. He jumped slightly as Clarisse patted his hand. “You’re not in trouble, I promise. But this is important.” Jett hesitated once more, but he couldn’t see any sign of anger in her. All he could see was hurt and fear, both trying to stop themselves from showing. She wasn’t angry, but it certainly didn’t make him feel better. So he chose to tell the truth. Jett explained how Augustine was the leader of Team Scale, a bitter and pessimistic man who fuelled his team's ideology at every turn. Jett explained that Augustine was searching for the Golden Harness, a relic with the supposed power to control a certain pokemon from myth, and that Augustine believed the relic was here in Brewtrip City.
Clarisse listened to Jett without interruption, and when he finally finished, she stared at her hands in her lap. Clarisse remained silent, mulling over the information she had been presented with. Jett fidgeted, noticing her crumple the fabric of her apron in her fists. Then, without warning, she stood.
“Can you show me where he is?” Clarisse questioned. Jett shrugged, replying that he wasn’t sure exactly where Team Scale was, but they had to be in the city somewhere. He climbed off of his stool as Clarisse made her way straight towards the exit, grabbing the rest of his food and shoving it into his bag. He stumbled and weaved through other people and pokemon, trying to catch up to Clarisse as she made her way through the cafe. He thought maybe they should have mentioned something to the other staff, especially Bryce, but she didn’t show any sign of waiting. Fresh air blew into the cafe as Clarisse opened the front door, disturbing the welcoming smell of the interior as she and Jett exited into the rest of the city.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
They had started to comb through the busy streets, but there was no ignoring the large group of Team Scale Grunts assembled on the hills bordering the city.
Jett looked up towards the peak of the hill, worry written across his face. He turned towards Clarisse, who was looking at the same peak; That earlier conflict he had seen in her eyes before was back again, but it was so much more plain now. Her jaw was slightly clenched, brow furrowed and eyes wide. Jett got the feeling that she didn’t know he was watching.
Jett asked if Clarisse would be alright getting up the hill, it looked awfully steep. Clarisse’s expression subdued and she cast a glance over the figurative path ahead of them.
“I’ll be alright.” She assured, although Jett wasn’t convinced. She held a hand towards him as she started moving forward, “You might have to help me.” Jett fumbled a little with her hand, but he tried his best to serve as a support for Clarisse as the two made the journey up the hill. He felt a tad small for this task, but he doubted Clarisse would turn back at this point, even if he said anything.
The expanse of hills bordering one side of Brewtrip City stretched off into further inclines and rolling fields. Of those hills, the one Jett and Clarisse were currently hiking was sandwiched between two taller ones. As they approached the summit, the screeches and roars of pokemon became louder. The dirt became softer under their feet, upturned from holes pockmarked across the hill’s surface. Jett’s head turned from one hole to the next, taking in the surroundings as a weight grew in the pit of his stomach. There was cheering at the peak as well, urging on the pokemon in whatever they were doing. Clarisse was huffing beside him – although she stifled the sound as much as possible – but it was drowned out regardless by the heartbeat thudding in Jett’s ears as he stepped over the final crest of the incline and stood on the solid top of the hill. He reared back as a blast of dirt and rocks went flying, thankfully far enough ahead of the crowd not to reach him and Clarisse, but enormous enough to be mistaken for a geyser of debris.
“Jett.” He jumped again at Clarisse’s voice, and she was once again pushing something into his hands; potions, for him to use on his own pokemon. “Stay safe, okay? You can leave if you want.” Right, Jett still hadn’t healed up since the gym battle. He used the potions on the worst-off members of his team, but when he looked up, Clarisse was already pushing her way through the crowd. Jett’s eyes widened and he followed after her, ignoring any complaints from the Team Scale Grunts he manoeuvred around. They didn’t seem particularly disturbed by his and Clarisse’s presence, which didn’t help Jett’s leaden feeling of worry. He had difficulty seeing past them all, so he focused on Clarisse’s back, making sure he never fell behind or lost her. She managed to weave and squeeze her way to the front, and Jett stepped out beside her.
The cries weren’t from pokemon in pain, at least, although that was little comfort as Jett watched them clawing and blasting their way through the dirt. The cheering for the pokemon continued, encouraging them to keep going and to find ‘it’. Jett had a good idea of what ‘it’ was. And standing at the apex were two figures. One Jett recognised as the Team Scale Admin Kevin; His goofy name and smile gave him a heavy resemblance to his Quagsire, who was currently scooping out handfuls of mud, but he was just as destructive as any of the other Admins. Beside Kevin, standing a few feet off to avoid being hit by the earthy spray, was Augustine. He looked the same as Jett remembered; long white hair blowing out around his shoulders, rectangular spectacles on a silver glasses chain, and swaddled in an off-shoulder furred coat, as if he felt a chill no-one else did. Augustine seemed to be ignoring the uproar of the crowd entirely, his eyes never once moving from watching Kevin’s Quagsire intently.
Jett scowled, his hand tightening on the strap of his backpack. All of his pokeballs were inside of it, and he had half a mind to pull one out. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Clarisse’s hands clench, and rather than give into impulse, Jett turned to her for an indicator of what action to take. The only thing was, Clarisse didn’t seem to be taking any action. Her muscles were tense, jaw slack, and her eyes unmoving from the apex of the hill. Jett opened his mouth to speak, but another blast of debris went flying, the crash making him jump and instinctually cover his face with his arms.
“Oh, hey Squirt.” Jett lowered his arms as Kevin’s voice called to him, Kevin giving a lazy wave of his hand, “What are you doing here?” Kevin put his hands in the pockets of his furred uniform jacket, and Augustine finally looked up, first to Kevin, then following the Admin’s line of sight to where the two gate-crashers stood at the front of the now quieting crowd. His eyes froze when they landed on Clarisse. His breath hitched, body hiking with the action. It was as if a current of electricity had suddenly struck through him, tensing every muscle. He stepped away from Kevin, at first stiff and hesitant, but steadily remembering how to walk (Kevin raised an eyebrow before instructing his Quagsire to pause). Clarisse started moving forward again even as Augustine moved down from the apex. Even while closing the distance across uneven terrain, his stare never left Clarisse.
Jett ignored the confused murmurs of the Team Scale Grunts and jogged up the hill to rejoin Clarisse. He hung back a few metres behind her, shouldering off one side of his backpack. Both she and Augustine had stopped moving, standing across from each other, lurking on the very edge of being within arm’s reach. Jett flanked uneasily between the two. He could barely hear Augustine’s next words, choked in his throat while the man’s body angled ever-so-slightly away from her.
“What are you doing here?”
Clarisse frowned, eyes boring into Augustine as she tilted her head, almost knowingly. She didn’t say anything, even as he looked her over. He stopped on her round stomach, and only paused briefly before bringing his gaze back to meet hers. “Clarisse…” He trailed off; a hand reached towards her, but it hesitated in the air and pulled back again. Clarisse met him halfway and took his hand in both of hers, holding firm so he couldn’t draw back at the contact. Jett remained quiet, watching them both. The warmth in Augustine’s dark eyes was burning, bringing colour to the otherwise dreary man. His lips even fell into a smile, all in the presence of the person in front of him. Clarisse looked him over, taking in the coat, the Team Scale symbol - shaped similarly to a balance scale - attached to his belt, before reaching up. The movement was stilted, but seemed familiar to her. Augustine’s eyes narrowed out of caution, but he didn’t try to stop her. Pushing forward, she brushed a strand of Augustine’s long, tangled hair from his face to tuck it behind his ear.
“Oh, Tin…” Clarisse breathed, her fingertips pressed softly against his cheek, “What have you done to yourself?” Augustine averted his gaze, and he swallowed. He remained silent, even as Clarisse searched his face for an answer. Then his head tilted ever so slightly, pressing further into her palm. His eyes fell closed for a brief moment.
“You’ve missed quite a bit.” Augustine replied, his tone light, nearly humorous, but bitter. He slipped his hand from hers, travelling up her arm, past her shoulder. His hand hovered above the surface all the while, as if taking her in; He never made contact until he finally took her face in his hands, his fingers flinching with hesitation. Augustine’s thumbs traced her jaw. “You haven’t changed at all.”
“Don’t.” Clarisse told him, a warning that even so, didn’t seem to have much heart behind it. She didn’t pull away from his touch. “What are you doing? You’re scaring people, Augustine. You disappear for years, and, when I finally see you again, you’re telling these people to steal and attack others for you?” The movement of his thumbs on her cheek stilled, although Augustine didn’t say a word to reply. Clarisse scowled, wiping below her eye.
“I thought…” Clarisse’s voice caught, but she pushed through it anyway, “I thought something had happened to you. I thought it was because of the divorce.”
“You didn’t do anything. Okay? Look at me, I’m…fine.” Augustine tilted Clarisse’s chin up, leaning in only enough for his quieter tone to be heard, and to make sure she saw him smile. Unlike before, this smile was tight-lipped, and ice edged into the once-presence warmth in his eyes. “This isn’t about you.” Clarisse’s eyebrows rose, and her scowl deepened. She closed her eyes, silently counting. First one second, then two, then three…
“Then what are you doing?” She opened her eyes again, tone becoming stern with the repeated question. Augustine exhaled, a sigh that took away the last of the energy her presence had given him before with it, and he pulled his hands away from Clarisse’s face.
“We’re going to make the world better for everyone. People and pokemon. Everything is stuck in chaos with no reason behind it. Trainers have been punished by others’ greed or their own inexperience. Too many have gotten hurt, and I won’t stand by anymore while things need to be brought back into balance.” Any of the vulnerability he had shown before froze over, his demeanour coming to match hers. He withdrew from Clarisse, re-establishing the earlier distance between them, but he spoke with a firm conviction. “If we have to show everyone the consequences of their actions first, then at least they might believe us.” He glanced over to where Kevin still stood, and nodded towards the developing crater, before returning his attention to Clarisse. Kevin nodded back and ordered Quagsire to continue digging. Clarisse stared at the pokemon. Jett shifted uneasily, watching her and waiting for any indication of what to do. Her fists clenched in the fabric of her apron again, and she swallowed as she turned quickly back to Augustine, giving him a hard look. Augustine was still half-turned towards Kevin’s excavation, already preparing to leave the reunion. His shoulders sunk, and his eyes narrowed before meeting hers.
“...You could come with me.” He told her.
“That’s not why I’m here.” Clarisse stated. She stepped forward, reaching for his face again, but Augustine pulled his head away, looking over her sceptically.
“I know why you’re here.” He took her outstretched hand in his own and lowered it away from him with still-prevalent care. “You’re only here because you still want to fix me.” Clarisse blinked, but her expression quickly set into a grim scowl, and she moved forward again, keeping inside his space, keeping hold of Augustine’s hand, and stopping him from moving away.
“And you want me here, because you still don’t know how else to feel better.” She replied. Augustine frowned, but he didn’t respond to that. He only looked back with the same knowing glare as hers. Silence hung between them; By now, the crowd had quietened down, not knowing how to respond to the exchange. Jett held himself with one arm, gaze moving back and forth between the two adults, and Kevin’s Quagsire continued to shovel mud out of the nearby hole.
“I didn’t know you were here, Augustine.” Clarisse said, and sent a pointed nod back towards the boy standing at her right side. “I only came because Jett here told me.” Augustine’s eyes slotted over to Clarisse’s side, finally realising Jett was standing there. His head tilted down slightly, eyes half-lidded in a passive frown Jett was far more familiar with. Augustine hummed in recognition.
“If it isn't the boy from the mine. At least you managed to remain unharmed after we helped each other escape.”
Jett grimaced as Clarisse’s head snapped around to him, shocked and confused. Jett pulled his backpack back onto both shoulders; Augustine didn’t seem perturbed by his own statement, but he did look expectant for a response, rather than acknowledging any unruliness he may have caused by the admission. Jett shied away from the sternness in Clarisse’s gaze, the first time the demand for an explanation - albeit silent - had been turned on him. Then, he admitted that Augustine had saved his life, when the two of them had been trapped together in an old mineshaft, several cities away from where they now stood. They had worked together, only by the simplest definition, but that didn’t make it feel any less conflicting or guilty for Jett.
“He could have left me to die.” Augustine remarked, his gaze unmoving and barely even blinking to save Jett from his own confession, “Maybe he should have.” Jett told Augustine that they weren’t going to let him get away scot-free again, and Augustine chuckled dryly, blinking in obvious disbelief. Clarisse stepped forward, taking both of Augustine’s hands and forcing his attention back to her.
“He made a choice. You don’t have to do this either.” Her voice wavered throughout her sentence. She leant closer to the owlishly staring Augustine, who was caught off-guard by the sudden physical contact, “If this team is working for you, then you can tell them to stop. It’s not too late, Tin.” She smiled, genuine but as desperate as her plea. Augustine looked down at his hands in hers, and squeezed them. Jett heard a whoop and his attention was brought to the crater, where Kevin waved over some other members of Team Scale. The small group jumped into the pit, heaving and shouting at each other as they hauled a metal container over the lip of the crater. It was cylindrical, and bolted at the top, the surface of the metal patchy in places from mud and rust. It looked a lot like a time capsule, except much bigger. Heavy tools and the help of some pokemon made quick work of the container’s latched lid, and Kevin grinned as his dirt-encrusted hands held a mass of golden chain and cord in the air.
Jett’s heart sank as he turned back to Augustine and Clarisse. Augustine had seen Kevin free the harness as well. He looked back to Clarisse; her brow was furrowed, jaw clenched, and Augustine’s hands still held in hers. Warmth tried to rise in Augustine’s gaze, but it fizzled out like dying embers. He squeezed her hands tightly one last time, and the white veil of hair fell over his face again, as he shook his head.
“I’m going to see my choice to the end.” Augustine said. Clarisse’s mouth fell open to speak as Augustine slipped his hands free. He walked over to Kevin and took the harness. It thrummed with energy in his hands, as if exposure to the sun had reanimated it with life. Jett’s mouth was dry and he stepped forward to stand in line with Clarisse. She tensed slightly, as if remembering he was there. Augustine looked back over his shoulder at the both of them, a smile exhaling through his lips as the glimmer of the harness reflected in his glasses. “It doesn’t matter what happens to me in the process, as long as I can help everyone else.” Clarisse’s expression was hard, her hands curling into fists at her sides. Without another word, Jett stepped in front of her, and he reached into his bag to bring out the first of his team.

zuckerberg is jumping on the blue check mark bandwagon
Meta is testing a subscription service which will allow Instagram and Facebook users to pay to get verified, Mark Zuckerberg announced on Instagram Sunday.
“Meta Verified” will start at $11.99 a month on the web or $14.99 a month on iOS, and the company will begin releasing it in Australia and New Zealand this week and “more countries soon.”
The service also comes with other perks: extra protection from impersonation accounts and direct access to customer support.
To avoid fake accounts, customers who want to get the blue badge would need to provide a government ID which matches their profile name and picture. Users must also be above 18 to be eligible.
---
sure, I'll just give a social media company who have been sued and fined over data leaks countless of times my official name and ID. That won't backfire at all!

Additionally, the customisation options available for personalised name tags allow businesses to represent their brand effectively while ensuring readability and visibility. Let's explore the different types of name badges and understand the significance of choosing the right one.
Exploring Name Badge Types
When it comes to exploring name badge types, it's essential to understand the variety of options available and the significance of choosing the right type. Different types of custom name badges cater to specific needs and preferences, offering versatility in design and functionality. From traditional pin-on badges to magnetic or clip-on badges, each type serves a unique purpose in various professional settings.
Types of Name Badges
Magnetic Name Badges: These badges offer a convenient and secure attachment method without causing damage to clothing.
Clip-On Name Badges: Ideal for situations where individuals frequently remove their badges, providing ease of use and flexibility.
Pin-On Name Badges: A classic choice that is cost-effective and suitable for long-term use.
Benefits of Custom Name Badges
Custom name badges contribute significantly to an enhanced professional appearance. They create a sense of unity among employees while also fostering a positive impression with clients and customers. Moreover, these badges play a crucial role in improving security and identification within the workplace, ensuring that only authorised personnel have access to certain areas.
Quality Name Badges
Importance of Quality Name Badges
When it comes to professional representation, the importance of quality name badges cannot be overstated. These badges are a direct reflection of an individual's commitment to excellence and attention to detail. A high-quality badge not only enhances the overall appearance but also conveys a sense of professionalism and reliability. Moreover, durable and well-crafted personalised name tags exhibit longevity, ensuring that they withstand daily wear and tear without compromising their visual appeal.
In addition, quality name badges contribute to creating a positive impression on clients and customers. They serve as a symbol of trust and credibility, instilling confidence in the capabilities and expertise of the wearer. Furthermore, these badges play a vital role in fostering a cohesive team environment by promoting a sense of pride and belonging among employees.
Choosing the Right Material
Selecting the appropriate material for custom name badges is crucial in ensuring their durability and visual appeal. Factors such as durability, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness should be taken into consideration when choosing materials for badge finishes. Materials like high-grade plastic offer resilience against scratches and fading while maintaining an elegant appearance. Metal finishes provide a sophisticated look with added durability, making them ideal for long-term use.
Durability: Consider materials that can withstand daily wear without losing their quality.
Aesthetics: Choose materials that align with the professional image of your brand or organisation.
Cost-effectiveness: Evaluate the long-term value offered by different materials to make an informed decision.
Selecting Badge Sizes
When it comes to selecting badge sizes, there are several factors to consider in order to determine the ideal size for custom name badges. The size of a badge directly impacts its visibility and readability, making it essential to strike the right balance. Consider the font size and style of the text that will be displayed on the badge, as well as any additional elements such as logos or graphics. These considerations will ensure that the information on the badge is easily legible and stands out effectively.
Standard badge sizes offer uniformity and consistency, making them a practical choice for many organisations. They provide a professional appearance and are readily available for immediate use. On the other hand, custom badge sizes cater to unique requirements, allowing businesses to create badges that align perfectly with their branding and visual identity. This level of customisation ensures that the badges not only serve their practical purpose but also contribute to brand representation effectively.
Badge Customisation
Personalising Name Tags
When it comes to custom name badges, personalisation offers a unique opportunity to align the badges with the brand identity. Businesses can choose from a range of personalisation options, including different font styles, colours, and logo integration. By incorporating company logos and brand colours, badge customisation becomes an extension of the overall branding strategy. This not only enhances brand representation but also fosters a sense of unity and professionalism among employees.
Moreover, personalised name tags allow individuals to stand out while representing the organisation. The inclusion of employee names alongside the company logo creates a professional and welcoming environment for clients and visitors. Additionally, personalisation adds a touch of individuality and pride for wearers, contributing to a positive work culture.
Custom Finishes for Name Badges
The choice of finishes for custom name badges is crucial in achieving the desired aesthetic appeal and durability. Different finishes such as matte, gloss, or metallic offer distinct visual effects that can complement the overall branding. Matte finishes exude a subtle elegance, while gloss finishes provide a vibrant and polished look. On the other hand, metallic finishes convey a sense of sophistication and durability.
Selecting the right finish for badge customisation ensures that the badges not only reflect the brand's image but also withstand daily wear without losing their visual impact. Additionally, it contributes to creating a cohesive visual identity across all aspects of the business.
Custom Name Badges
Incorporating custom name badges provides a versatile solution for businesses seeking to enhance their professional image. The availability of various size and finish options allows for tailored solutions that align with specific branding requirements. Quality name badges are paramount in representing professionalism and attention to detail, while personalised name tags add a unique touch to individual representation. Furthermore, the customisation of badge finishes contributes to brand identity and visual cohesion across all aspects of the business.
