Checking out other Quest AUs as I wait for my will to come back to continue with Inky Mystery.

(The conflict has not let down yet and I’m starting to feel dread)

Anyway, go check out this neato retell of the og Quest story by @thequestfortheinkmachinecomics. The characters’ designs are nicely touched up, their personalities seems more natural now, the art is really cool and oh no, I’ve run out of juice for words… I just know that this retell will be good so I’ll be on along for this ride.

Intro

This is a re-do of a blog for my main au! Been meaning to get this up and running, but just never had the time to do that. This is mainly where I'll be posting art for my au, as well as where I'll be posting the story.

I would use my main blog, but honestly I would like it to just be about the art I make, y'know?

By the way, this isn't going to be an ask blog...kinda. I'll let you know when I'll be taking questions, but for the most part I want to focus on getting the story of the AU told.

They're having a sleepover in the living room and it's driving Tea nuts, she keeps tripping on blankets. But she's happy they're happy so she lets it slide.

The Devil's Pitchfork:

To get over his recent fails and being overthrown by the mysterious Ink Demon, the Devil spends some father-son time with Bendy by terrorizing the citizens of Inkwell Isles. After misplacing his pitchfork, Cuphead and Mugman spot Bendy playing with it and the trio cause chaos and mayhem around them.

But, the Devil catches up to the boys and Bendy is revealed to be the Devil's son. This has Cuphead skeptical and constantly keeps electricuting the Devil, but when Bendy tries to retrieve the pitchfork, Cuphead gives a giant electrical shock that knocks him out and giving him glowing burns on his palms.

This was the last straw for the Devil and kidnaps Mugman as payback for harming his son. This is when Cuphead realizes how badly he has messed up on both sides.

Meet the Crew

The Drew Brothers

Bendy- Once performer for a live audience,now on the road to redeem his family's Image. Though it's proven difficult, having people hate him and his brother's existence. They often have to deal w/targeted assassination.

Boris- He travels w/ his Brother in order to cure the ink illness. He desperately wants to see his brother perform again and to live peacefully. He feels guilty that his father Caused so much trouble to so many people.

The Cup Brothers

Cuphead- A Runaway & a Traveling hitman. He and his brother were sent to kill Bendy and Boris but were quickly stopped,then convinced by mugman that they could help them. Why? So they can heal their father figure that also struggles with the illness.

MugMan- Also a runaway & hitman. Along with cuphead,they were sent to kill the Drew brothers. But he was quickly convinced by Boris that he & Bendy were going to fix & rebuild the ink Machine. Seeing a way to help their Father Figure & mend help their bond,he quickly Convinces cuphead to join Bendy this Brother to rebuild the machine

Felix the cat

Felix- An adventurer who had been hired by the brothers. Having once been in their shoes,he decides for free that he'll help them and their quest to build the ink machine. He teaches all four of the boys how to survive the wilderness and make quick cash for their travels.

Procrastination kills me lol I had the drawing finished just was a little lazy to write a big paragraph

Again, because I like to do this to myself, I'm gonna ramble about the og quest Cuphead and what I didnt like/ What I changed :>

Like I said in Mugs I dont think that the cup bros will join Bandy, Boris and Felix on the quest. Now on to the og... yay... First of all in the original it seemed like the og was only for the purpose for shipping. Which I dont want. So that won't happen. Now I didn't write a lot on what I didn't like but this man is not perfect in any way but one thing that I found interesting and kept is the manipulative nature of him. Because he is a villain I just wanted him to have no pleasant qualities. Even to the extent that he is not the greatest to his own little brother. Basically he has a kill or be killed mentality. I kept his age the same and even his outfit. If I remember I said I was gonna talk about Elder Kettle. To be fully honest I kinda forgor ._. ANYWAY Elder Kettle was Cupheads and Mugmans only kind of father figure/ parent. Childhood wise Cup would be your typical trouble child as Mug was more skittish. I would think that once Elder Kettle passes, most likely of old age, Cup does not take it lightly. He goes to alcohol and gambling (you can see where this is going). So like in the original it was said that the Ink illness was caused/ brought back by Cup gambling and losing. I'm not sure how to plan this. I don't know if I wanna keep that or like Cup and Mug find an ancient cave in the Casino or something. Thats all I can think of at this moment of writing this. If you do read this and you have questions feel free to ask so I can think about it and better explain it. Should I make a different blog making a Reimagining of qftim... IDK :> Let me know in the comments or somethin I've never done an ask blog type thing so tips will be appreciated. I wanna do my own ask blog type thing in the future so ye! He ran and ran and kept on running, He needs to get away He needs to make sure his brother was alright

Devil’s voice echoed around him as he kept running.

But that didn’t matter to you? Did it Cuphead?

Dice said his voice ringing in his head making him trip.

What did he expect? Trusting you? HA! What a fool.

Hat laughed walking towards him.

Your selfish! How could you do that your own brother!?

A disordered voice of his father echoed all around.

And I won’t be the only one that suffers because of you.

Mugman continued walking towards him before stopping right in front of him and pulling his face forcing him to look to the side. His throat went dry as he saw bodies of his beloved.

You just had to have them huh!? You had to be selfish and keep them close!? We’ll look at them! Look at what you’ve done!

Tears stung his eyes still watching the rotting corpses of his lovers as he listened to all them yell before hearing his own voice speak up

Cuphead gasped looking up the ceiling as he felt cold sweat dripping down his face, he could feel a body beside him so he turned to look at who it was.

He completely stopped moving when he saw it was Bendy and he wasn’t moving, he looked pale- oh stars-he’s dead! He’s actually dead!

He didn’t want this to happen! He didn’t mean to! I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry-

Ba-dump Ba-dump Ba-dump

It’s okay, everything’s alright, we’re safe

Holly? He can hear he voice tho it was muffled, he slowly started to calm down as he realized the sound he was hearing was Bendy’s heartbeat and he could now feel Holly carefully running her hand through his hair.

He was at the house. Holly stayed over cause rain started pouring in. Bendy got an attack in the middle of the night. Holly went out to get him some water and put away his clothes to wash. They are okay. They are safe

Quest For the Ink Machine A.U Designs pt. 1!

Bendy and Boris Drew!

Okay! So as you can see from the image I've made some major changes for this A.U

The biggest change is Bendy is no longer Boris's brother, he's his dad. (I just really like it as a concept lol).

Bendy still has the Ink Illness, Boris usually takes care of him after an Ink attack. Only issue is, Bendy doesn't want him to, so he deals with most attacks alone in this A.U.

Boris's other biological parent is a great-grey Wolf, he isn't in the picture as Bendy separated from him years ago when Boris was only a baby (Bendy was a teen parent in this A.U, he was 15 having Boris.)

Boris asks questions, but Bendy usually blanks them and after a while, he stops asking and focuses on the quest at hand to find the Ink machine parts, Bendy had gotten the illness at 18 and began researching the machine. He just wants to watch his son grow up.

When in public, Boris refers to Bendy by name. The reason is because Bendy is aware there's people after them due to looking for the Ink Machine but their looking for a father and son. They gain less attention that way and the only description known to the 'hunters' is a demon and a wolf child and due to Boris's hight, most people don't assume he's a young child, usually a teenager.

Cuphead and Mugman where the first 'hunters' to be given recent photos of Bendy and Boris which is how they found them (they actually assumed Bendy was Boris's old brother due to the fact Bendy is so young looking).

Felix was also led to believe this when he first joined the gang, they all discover Bendy is actually Boris's father durn/after the fight with the Monster Cala Maria, Boris had yelled out "DAD!" In a moment of fear after Bendy fell after detransforming from his other form.

This actually plays into the relationships between Bendy, Cuphead and Boris, as eventually, Cuphead and Bendy do start dating.

I changed the ages of Cuphead and Mugman as well, Cuphead is now 29 and Mugman is 25, Felix is still 35, I decided to not change that.

What are the boys (Rumbler and Tumbler, I think that's how you spell them) hobbies if they have any? Are they ever allowed outside of the casino?

Any friends of theirs-? Or are they more of a secret hidden by the devil?

Oh don't worry about getting the names wrong, they're a bit obtuse on my part!!

Rummer and Tumbler are both names for types of cups (though Rummer is often spelled Roemer instead)! It was meant to be an allusion to the phrase "Rough and Tumble", but that's been a bit lost.

"Rum" is also old slang for someone who is a little weird or wrong :) Sound familiar?

As for their hobbies, I think the two of them aren't given much other than what they have available to them in the casino. They don't have many friends other than the other workers, and they do what they're told as best they can. King Dice is their boss, and The Devil is (funnily enough) more of a disgruntled father figure to them.

Rummer had picked up smoking (he looks up to Mr. Wheezy), and Tumbler likes to play dominoes on his break. They both have a healthy taste for alcohol, but Tumbler gets sick.

When they're above ground on Inkwell, they're more focused on breaking things and causing mayhem in Cuphead and Mugman's names. Which doesn't often help them make friends, you know what I mean?

I think, if they were given the opportunity to better find themselves, Rummer would like animals and would have a pet, and Tumbler would be well-read, enjoying poetry.

CBros Headcanons

1. Cuphead and Mugman are the kind of twins that sometimes talk, move and think the same, making them able to communicate without saying a word. Some people find this scary but they find it useful when working. 2. Cuphead takes great care of his appearance, especially his hair, but it is so that he sometimes stops what he is doing to fix any imperfection he has, Mugman teases him saying that he was born in the wrong gender. 3. Mugman is a darker tone of blond compared to cuphead, but he hides his hair inside of his head, because he says that it distracts him. 4. Cuphead is an exact image of his mother which he hates so much that when he tries to modify himself to avoid looking like her. Mugman, Elder kettle and his father had a serious talk with him about it. 5. Both of them despite their mother since she was the one responsible for putting the Cbros into the Devil's hands. She made a deal with the Devil, and when he tried to get her soul she disappeared making the Devil not happy and decide to go and get her descendants to pay the debt and since then the Cbros have been wishing to be free one day. 6. Both of them use motorcycles most of the time but they also own a truck. 7. Both of them hide their identities every time they have to kill the people, using code names. Cuphead as Crimson and Mugman as Hunter. 8. They like sports but more specific Mugman prefers Basketball and Cuphead is more of Volleyball 9. Mugman is more educated and well behave that Cuphead 10. Cuphead is Pansexual and Mugman is Straight ally 11. Both of them already pass on relationships. (Cuphead 2 men-1 women) (Mugman 1 woman) 12. Cuphead is more into rock and Mugmand into classic music specially piano solos 13. Both of them are masters in discase 14. Between the dishes there are symbols that classify how strong their magic is going into the Diamonds the highest, Spades second, Clubs third and Hearts last. This mark appears in any part of the body, the Cbros have them in their left arm. (Cuphead Diamond)(Mugman Spades) 15. Everything in them due to their likes have to be in their significant color, like EVERYTHING 16. Cupheas is a strawberry monster, strawberries are his weakness 17. Mugman is not into sweet things much 18. Cuphead likes to receive presents except roses since he says that roses are the whore of the flowers since everything is roses. (His favorite flower is margaritas) 19. Mugman is the one that have the hardest time will doing their jobs since he carries in his conscience everytime he had to destroy a family, sometimes he cries to the memory, Cuphead always comfort him until Mugman falls asleep or calms down 20. Their hair changes flavor depending on the drink they have on their heads, normally they have gelatine or honey, also their hairs are edible. 21. Their bodies are made of 100% hard porcelain making it almost impossible to break them and if so happens they are still able to move and not feel pain until their bodies are completely destroyed. If their bodies are destroyed they pass to their gosh form until they are reconstructed.
