Over 1.7-crore farmers have been given the benefit of crop insurance at Re 1 but who will ensure that the insurance companies compensate them judiciously for the crop losses farmers suffer? We have seen reports of Rs 15, Rs 100 and Rs 200 and so on, paid to farmers for crop losses. Crop insurance is touted as a big benefit for farmers, but the data shows that private insurance firms have walked away with profits of Rs 57,619-crore since the scheme began in 2016. In reality, PM Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY) seems to be a scheme that ensures large profits for the bima companies.

Read on Pests Causing Major Crop Losses in Agriculture
Agriculture is the backbone of food security and economic development worldwide, yet it faces so much challenges from various pests that threaten crop yields and quality. Among these pests, species such as Helicoverpa, Duponchelia, Spodoptera, and FCM (False Codling Moth) are particularly notorious for the extensive damage they cause to both staple and high-value crops. This article delves deep…

At once, Artemis has this all-consuming need for control and rejects being treated as a child, yet nonetheless, there's a longing for the protection (care?) of childhood that he sees as beyond his grasp (“It’s too late for me [..] am too old for tussles with Father" in TTP). During the months of recovery, post-resurrection, I would imagine Artemis feeling almost uncomfortable with the sustained gentleness of the life he’s been thrust back into.
#friendship and love are made complicated for Artemis by the need for control that runs through Artemis#he wants love to be choosing what’s ‘best’ for his loved ones; Artemis is uncomfortable when confronted by not being the only agent in a#dynamic and he balks at the vulnerability and associated loss of control that crops up in friendship#artemis fowl#which isn’t to say he doesn’t desire closeness with his friends#or that he is incapable of resisting his worst impulses when it comes to denying his friends agency in their lives if he thinks they’d make#the ‘harmful’ choice

I felt the itch to draw again recently so I busted out my over a decade old Wacom Tablet and downloaded Krita. I wanted to draw my Pathfinder character so I created a “nude” version in Hero Forge and posed him like a doll so I could trace it because I am nowhere ready to draw bodies from scratch yet lol.
This is Nazaad, an Orc Warpriest (Cleric) of Shelyn, the goddess of art, beauty, love, and music. He used to be a high cleric of her half-brother Zon-Kuthon, god of pain, darkness, envy, and loss.
He died in service to Zon-Kuthon, but Shelyn resurrected him to ask him a question. How could her brother be redeemed? She searched through his memories and as she did, Nazaad felt her peace and the divine depth of sorrow and love for her brother that overwhelmed him and quelled his rage. In that moment he wanted to help her in her goal and pledged himself to Shelyn (my ultimate dream for this character would be that he could actually help her succeed).
The way he practices his faith might be considered borderline heretical to some Shelynites. He still uses pain in his worship through tattoo artistry. He finds peace in the sting of the needle and beauty in the things most would consider grotesque.
If asked, he would show no remorse or regret for his former life. He was a faithful and devoted servant to his god whom he loved in his own way. He is just as devoted to Shelyn and the only way one would know about his former life are the marks carved onto his body (and if you asked him lol).
His favorite holiday is Crystalhue and he always makes the Zonzon doll with love and disturbing accuracy.
#it’s probably super over-done to make a Zon-Kuthon to Shelyn cleric but I’d never played pathfinder before#and I was immediately obsessed with their relationship#also I thought it would be interesting to play a cleric that didn’t leave because his beliefs changed so much as his perspective changed#and I wanted to think about how one could take the domains of pain and loss and fit them into the domains of beauty and love#which obviously on a practical level the art pursued would be tattooing but what else#and also big beefy orc#pathfinder#cleric#orc#orcs#Shelyn#Zon-kuthon#Warpriest#my art#I definitely overdid it with the brushes lol but I had fun also didn’t want to draw all the tattoos from scratch#I also didn’t feel like drawing the blade of the glaive so I cropped it out lol#ttrpg#pathfinder oc

Lisia Amputee Fanfic

A New Lisia
Lisia had finally made her way to Kanto with Wallace, Winona, and Steven. This trip had been long delayed after their accident on Mt. Chimney. Steven, Winona, and Wallace had many tournaments in other regions while Lisia had many shows in Sinnoh and Kalos. At last, they seemed to be at peace. They explored all the areas of Kanto and checked out all the Pokémon. They went to humble towns like that of Pallet and also to more populous ones such as that of Celadon. The four of them had many fans surrounding them as they went on vacation and did their best to hide themselves from others. They all travel on foot and bicycle so as to not catch anyone's attention.
Lisia performs in Kanto's select shows, dazzling everyone with her Pokémon at each performance. On one night, both Winona and Wallace join Lisia on one of the shows. They find Steven backstage looking at his Roto-device.
"They still don't say where that Trainer Red is," says Steven as he focuses on his screen. "Ever since I lost to him at that tournament, I've been wanting to track him down."
"I still can't believe how he sweeped my team," says Winona.
"This trip has been unsatisfying," declares Steven. "I'm not going home until I find Red."
"Maybe you should try out contests," suggests Lisia. "It's not like you're doing much anyways while you're waiting for us."
"I know," states a frustrated Steven. "It's just that I finally got my chance, and now I have no leads. If May were here with us, I bet she could find Red."
"Isn't May back in Hoenn doing contests?" asks Winona.
"Yup!" affirms Lisia. "She's making a comeback after losing her leg and arm, and she's really successful! Brendan's also helping her out too since they're now engaged. He's the best costume designer ever, and May is just so awesome." Lisia sighes in admiration. "I really could never be like May, continuing to stand even after a seeming defeat. Maybe she actually is stronger than she was with four limbs."
"None of us could be strong like May," says Steven. "If that happened to me, I'd probably be bedridden for the rest of my life."
"And would you still be on the hunt for Trainer Red?" asks Winona jokingly.
"I'm going to find him on this trip," affirms Steven, "even if it means not being here for a show or not even joining a show."
"Come on Steven!" encourages Lisia. "You gotta do at least one show!"
"We'd all be there to support you," says Winona.
"You don't have to worry about anything," says Wallace, "I'll take care of your costume, and these two can help you put on a great show with the Pokémon you have."
"Fine," states Steven, "I'll do it."
"Yes!" squeals Lisia jumping in the air. "Now, let's go back to our hotel so you can make preparations!"
Night has fallen, and everyone except Lisia is asleep. Lisia looks at Wallace's lovely designs for Steven as she looks through Wallace's notebook. She then sees one he drew out for May. It beautifully compliments May's missing limbs, and he even created a beautiful design for a potential prosthesis.
Lisia then hears the phone and then picks it, "Hello, May?"
"Hi Lisia!" says May over the phone.
"How was the contest tonight?" asks Lisia.
"I WON MY FIRST RIBBON!" cheers May. "I can't believe I actually did it!"
"WHAT? No way!" squeals Lisia. "I'm so proud of you! You're relearning the ropes of contests so quickly."
"My main problem is I forgot how to actually do contests. My missing limbs weren't a problem at all. So, I went home with Brendan and watched a bunch of videos. We both did so many contests until I finally won my first contest!"
"I'm so excited for you! I'm hoping you make it to the Grand Festival!"
"Yes! That's my goal. And I'll win it!"
"Go for it, May! Woohoo!"
"How's it been in Kanto?" asks May.
"We've been trying to get Steven into Contests, and we've finally convinced him to do one. We even got a costume all set up for him, and Winona and I taught him some stuff."
"That's so cool. I can't wait to see Steven on the stage. I'll make sure to watch it."
"Yup! And Wallace even designed a costume for you! You should use it some time. It really compliments your missing limbs."
"Aw, that's so sweet."
"He even made these beautiful prostheses. Maybe you'll use them?"
"I don't use them. They're too uncomfortable. I like the sort of more natural feeling. But that's so nice of him to be thinking of me!"
"How do you keep your balance on stage?" asks Lisia.
"Lisia, it's been about three years since I've lost my leg, and I've really gotten used to it. I've totally forgotten what a four-limbed life was like. I'm still happy so that's all that I really care about. I still get to do battles and contests. I sometimes fall though I always have to get back up. One leg isn't so bad and neither is one arm."
"I could never do that," states Lisia. "It just seems so hard and so discouraging. It's pretty hard to do contests with four limbs. I bet you'll be beating me in contests just like nine years ago."
"I'd like to do more contests with you Lisia," says May, "so it can be just like how it was nine years ago."
"Yes, well, I bet I should let you sleep," says Lisia.
"Ah, yes, thank you," says May.
"Alright, bye!" says Lisia as she reaches for her phone though she then feels a strain in her arm and lets out a high-pitched grunt.
"Is something wrong?" asks May.
"No, nothing serious," says Lisia. "My right arm's been bothering me ever since I've been in Kanto. I'll get it checked out once I get back to Hoenn if it doesn't go away by the end of this trip."
"Alright, see you," says May as the phone hangs up.
"It really hurts," mutters Lisia to herself as she stumbles off to bed, and she immediately falls asleep after a long day.
"Lisia! Wake up!" yells a voice in the morning, seeming to be Winona.
"Wha?" Lisia mutters as she wakes up to see a bunch of Parasect right on top of her leading her to scream. "WHAT ARE THEY DOING HERE?"
"I don't know, they just show up!" says Winona. Winona grabs her Pokéball which she left on the dresser and sends out Altaria. "Altaria! Use Aerial Ace on those Parasects!"
Altaria flys through the small hotel room and attacks all the Parasect. A lamp falls down and shatters as the Altaria flies away. Lisia gets up off her bed to get away from the Parasect and she hides behind a chair.
"Keep going at it Altaria!" yells Winona. "Skarmory go for it!" Winona throws another Pokéball, and Skarmory flies out, landing on and scratching a Parasect. At this point, the Parasect have become overwhelmed and retreat out of the hotel room door.
"What the heck just happened," states a surprised Lisia.
"I don't know. They somehow got through the door, and then I found them jumping all over you. Are you hurt at all? Is there anything I can do."
"No, I don't think so," says Lisia. "My feet feel a little weird though that's probably because I've been walking all week long. Thanks for the save."
"Alright, let's wake the boys up. They'll be interested to hear what happened."
Later on, the four can be found downstairs eating breakfast, having a traditional Kanto breakfast with rice and fish.
"That still doesn't make sense," says Steven. "I bet if I got in touch with Aaron, he'd know something about what the Parasect was doing."
"So, what are our plans for today?" puts out Winona.
"I wasn't planning on anything," states Wallace. "I don't think I've seen any contests in Kanto today. Only some in Johto which would be too far away for us to go."
"We could always go on your chase for Red, Steven," suggests Winona.
"I was up in bed all night trying to find a lead," explains Steven. "I'm just too tired right now to go on a wild Swanna chase."
"Lisia," begins Wallace, "I haven't heard much from you at this table, anywhere you wanna go?"
"Oh me- um-" says Lisia, in a daze.
"You good?" asks Wallace.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," says Lisia. "Just my arm is bothering me and I'm getting some headaches."
"I'd think you should get a check-up," suggests Steven. "We could do that instead of-
"No, no, I'm perfectly fine. We should do something. This should be a fun trip for the four of us, especially since we've been waiting so long for the right time to come to Kanto. It'll wear off. I swear. I can get checked out in Hoenn if not. Alright, where does everyone want to go?"
"We were just talking about how we didn't have any place to go," says Wallace.
"Oh right!" exclaims Lisia. "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. My head was not doing so well. We should check out Lavender Town today. I have some fans who want to meet me over there."
"W-wait, Lavender town?" interrupts Wallace. "Don't they have g-ghosts there? And a cemetery?"
"Wallace," lectures Winona, "don't you remember that Lavender Town is no longer that way? Six years ago, Lavender Town reformed itself and the ghosts of Pokémon no longer haunt the town. We should go there for Lisia. Especially since she got attacked by the Parasect this morning."
"Okay, sure," stutters Wallace as he gets up out of his chair. "Let me get my stuff ready." Wallace gets up out of his chair, and everyone follows the same.
The four of them are all in the same room, being in Steven and Wallace's room. Lisia is fully dressed in her costume outfit and rests in bed while Winona does her hair. Wallace is in the bathroom splashing himself with cold water as he prepares for the excursion. Steven is tidying up his clothes.
"Lisia, are you sure you can make it there?" asks Winona. "You've had pretty low energy today."
"I just need to regain that energy," says Lisia, "and besides, I think that the fans will bring up my energy. It's going to be fun meeting with them."
Wallace walks out of the bathroom and declares, "I'm ready. L-Lisia, are you sure you're okay?" He looks over to Lisia who looks absolutely miserable in bed though she gets up and attempts to put on her usual chipper magical self.
"YES I AM!" yells Lisia happily as she skips out of bed and hops around the room cheerfully. However, the headache meets her, and she trips and falls flat on her face.
"LISIA!" yells Winona and Wallace.
"HA HA! JUST JOKING!" laughs Lisia as she skips out the hotel room. "Catch me if you can!" Lisia skips out of the room and runs down the hallway. Winona and Wallace look at each other worried. Lisia looks back to see if either of them caught up and then slows down, completely exhausted. Her arm hurts and her feet hurt from the Parasect more than she would like to admit. The headaches are just terrible. She pulls out her Roto-device, thinking maybe a call to May might cheer her up before she meets with her fans though decides not to as she walks to the elevator.
Lavender Town is surprisingly more rundown than the four expected it to be. Wallace is scared though Lisia keeps up her chipper persona while all her friends are scared. A bunch of fans hold up a sign with her face on it, and she runs over to greet them. Wallace attempts to smile but can't help but feel like something is wrong. He sees Lisia barely using her right hand which is strange since that's her dominant hand. She also looks as if she's about to cry in her eyes, and she looks absolutely tired. He seems to put that off as she's likely just having fun with her fans as she usually does. She has many hugs with her fans who can't stop hugging her and want to hug her again. Many photos are taken and many girls' dreams come true. Some girls faint from the sight of Lisia to which Lisia barely seems to notice.
An old nurse with a stretcher comes walking in, and Wallace stares at her. "What're you lookin' at?" she asks Wallace. "Lavender Town ain't got many nurses. I'm just about all they have for today." The nurses go to seemingly carelessly pick up a girl and carry her away on a stretcher. Wallace looks to where the old lady takes the girl and sees a rundown hospital, worrying him a bit. He goes over to Steven and Winona, looking absolutely frightened.
"Scared of ghosts?" jokes Winona.
"No," stutters Wallace. "I thought you said that Lavender Town had reformed!"
"We were talking to some local townspeople," explains Steven, "and they said that after Mr. Fuji passed away, Lavender Town's been going back to its old state, rundown and scary. It's sad because they're all those nice girls living here talking to Lisia. Everyone in this town deserves better."
"I agree," affirms Winona. "Lisia's very nice to everyone, absolutely everyone. I can't believe it. She seemed so tired this morning but perked up."
"She still seems a little tired," says Wallace. "And I'm a little worried though I'm happy for her right now. She's having fun and they're having fun. She's probably a massive inspiration to them and will be inspiring many more to come. Her absolute joy and smile will never stop."
"I sure hope so," says Steven happily as they watch Lisia continue to enjoy her fans.
Afterwards, the four of them hang out in a low-key restaurant where there aren't too many fans around. Lisia is sound asleep with her head reared back. Everyone's plates except for hers are practically cleared.
"People in Lavender are pretty respectful," observes Steven. "I can't believe they let us eat in peace."
"That's also probably because we're not that famous in Kanto," counters Wallace. "Lisia's the only one of us that seems to appeal to people here. I've not been quite as popular as I was in Unova or Sinnoh."
"When I went to Johto to train under Falkner's father," begins Winona, "absolutely nobody recognized me. Not even as 'Wallace's significant other'."
Steven looks over to see Lisia continue to sleep. "She must've had a lot of fun with her fans. Otherwise, she wouldn't be pooped out like this."
"This isn't her," says Wallace. "I've been telling you all day that I've been worried about her and look at her pooped out. She'd usually go out to breakfast, lunch, and dinner with her fans, but she's sound asleep right here."
"Well," groans Steven as he stretches out, "age gets to us someday. Some of us are sooner than others. I think Lisia's slowing down a bit. None of us will be able to always be able to travel like we do today. I don't think we're even near the level adventure that May is at right now. She's crazy especially since she's barely using her crutches or any support."
"Lisia should eat something," declares Wallace. "She's always hungry. Since the day she's been born, she has not missed a single meal."
"Eh, we all do eventually," says Steven.
"Hey Lisia," Wallace says softly, "wake up sleepy-head, you've gotta be hungry. Don't make me say I told you so when we head back and your stomach is growling."
"Wallace..." mutters Lisia softly with her eyes still closed. A tear falls from her eye.
"LISIA!" says Wallace in his protective voice, standing up at the table.
"I can't take the pain anymore," she groans. "My arm, my feet. My lungs-"
"Lisia," states Wallace, "Are you okay?"
"We'll wait until Hoenn," says Lisia. "I can't let my fans see- I can't-" Lisia drifts back off to sleep and suddenly has a hard time breathing.
"Lisia, open your eyes," Wallace demands.
"She needs to go to the hospital, here, in Kanto," declares Steven.
"I'm not letting her go to the one here in this town," asserts Wallace.
"If that's what we have to do, then that's where we'll go," says Steven as he waves someone over. "We need some medical help over here, immediately. She's in pain and not waking up."
"Follow me," says the person as they and Steven walk away.
Wallace goes over to sit with Lisia and holds her wrist to still feel her warm pulse. "Lisia, stay here with me," mutters Wallace as he begins to cry.
"Lisia's going to be fine," gently smiles Winona. "She's brave and a warrior. Just like everyone else. Just like Steven. And just like May."
Wallace continues to cry over her as help slowly arrives.
Wallace holds on to Lisia's hand all the way until she gets into a room where he's not allowed to be. For the rest of the duration, Wallace snuggles up with Winona who keeps him warm in the cold air of Lavender Town. The lights occasionally flicker, creating an eerie atmosphere. Wallace keeps his eyes closed within Winona's bosom as he shields himself from all darkness. Meanwhile, Steven is on his Rotom-Device, continuing his search for Red.
"Hello," says a very pleasant and kind voice, one out of place in Lavender Town. "I'm Dr. Dan Eath, and I'll be checking up on Lisia. It's not too often that I get to check up on celebrities like your Lisia. And I'm sorry that she's ended up here."
"We're just doing what we can," states Winona.
"So," says the doctor, "I'd assume you'd like to know of her current condition. She's currently on oxygen due to her rough breathing. They've done some scans in her body as you said she's been in pain. I'm going in to check those scans so hopefully we'll be able to help her soon."
"Thank you," says Steven as Doctor Eath walks in to check up on Lisia. Wallace waits nervously while Winona taps her foot.
"There are so many Gengar pictures around here, wonder what they're for," ponders Winona.
"There must be a big Gengar fan here," mutters Wallace.
The four of them wait around until the doctor finally comes out of his check-up on Lisia. The machinery comes out of the room, and the doctor stands in front of the three of them.
"I have some good news and some bad news," declares the doctor while Wallace holds on to Winona tighter.
Winona and Steven nod.
"Lisia is breathing better, and she will live," states the doctor, causing the entire group to let out a sigh of relief, "as long as we go forward with proper medical treatment. The bad news is what the medical treatment is. Wallace, you spoke of pain in her arm, correct?"
"Yes," says Wallace.
"The scans show what appears to be a tumor and I have no doubt that it is based on our current evidence. It fortunately has not spread anywhere besides her arm though it will be necessary to amputate her arm to prevent that tumor from spreading."
Wallace is horrified, and he can't speak.
"Is that all?" asks Steven.
"No," states the doctor, leading Wallace to be unable to shake. "Winona, you also spoke of a Parasect invasion earlier. We found Parasect poisoning within her feet. That is a primary cause of her inability to breathe. One foot will need the full amputation of it while the other will only require the amputation of a few toes. The poison fortunately did not reach any vital organs though so as long as we remove the poisoned areas, she will recover."
"But doctor," cries Wallace, "those are vital to her. She needs them to walk and her arms to do things. I don't want her to be amputated."
"She has left the final decision to you Wallace," the doctor declares. "She believes that this information has caused her to be unable to properly think and make the right decision. So, she's handed it off to you."
"No," asserts Wallace, "she's keeping her arm, foot, and toes. She's gonna go downhill really fast since she won't be able to do Pokémon Contests."
"Oh, and by the way," mentions the doctor, "she'll die if you don't make a decision. The breathing only gets worse throughout the day. It's a simple solution but a hard decision."
"Can we just amputate her feet?" asks Wallace.
"Well then, she'll recover well from the Parasect infection, but then the tumor will spread, and she will eventually pass away from its malignancy."
"No," declares Wallace, "I don't trust you. I don't trust Lavender Town. I never did! This place is giving me the CREEPS! What you say is absolutely fake. Totally fake. We're taking her back to Hoenn so she can get the medical treatment she wants. She doesn't want her foot to be randomly amputated in some rundown facility."
"It's impossible to get her transferred to any facility in Hoenn," says the doctor. "It would be too risky. It's challenging to get a helicopter and who knows if you'll find any hospitals with a bed in Hoenn. This is your best bet."
"NO NO NO!" yells Wallace, stomping down his foot. "I can't trust you, not you, not with these Gengar posters on the wall."
Wallace goes to send out his Pokémon at the doctor though Steven holds him back.
"Wallace," says Steven. "You were the one who wanted to make sure that Lisia was okay and why are you backtracking all of a sudden? In your heart, do you realize that Lisia is really sick? Don't you? This is a real doctor and I've vetted him. This place has an 80% success rate. I believe him. Her arm having a tumor makes sense and her feet needing amputation does too. We must believe this for now."
"But her career," states Wallace.
"She'll still have an arm and still have some toes," says Steven. "May has no more than that either and did you see the video of her on stage at a recent concert? She's greater than she's ever been. Lisia is as courageous and brave as May. She wouldn't be famous for any other reason. Lisia can reach the heights of May, I assure you."
"But I just can't do it," explains Wallace. "I can't be the one to tell her that she can't have her limbs."
"It's not you, Wallace," says Steven, "it's Arceus in the Hall of Origin speaking."
"I'll go in and tell her," says Wallace.
"She can remove her oxygen mask," assures the doctor, "but only while she speaks."
Wallace nods and walks in nervously; he waves at Lisia and sits right beside her. She opens her eyes for him.
"I'm glad you're breathing better," smiles Wallace. Lisia smiles back at him. "I hope you'll be getting much better soon, and I wish that we could find another way. Though, I've made the decision that-" Wallace takes a deep breath and looks to see an irresistible smile. "We're going to allow the doctor to amputate your arm, foot, and toes. I'm so sorry Lisia."
Lisia removes her oxygen mask and speaks weakly, "Thank you, Wallace. I- I couldn't have done it. You made the right choice."
"B-but aren't you also sad?" questions Wallace. "Why are you still smiling?"
"Because it was the right choice," explains Lisia. "Yes, I'm sad, but I can't put on a weak face for one of my greatest fans."
"Put the mask back on," says Wallace as he puts it back on her. "You need to keep breathing. I guess I'll see you on the other side." Wallace smiles and kisses Lisia on the forehead and walks out.
"I'm glad you made the right choice," states the doctor as he walks away.
"Did I?" asks Wallace.
"Nothing can reassure us," says Winona. "The correct answer will never show itself, but if the world continues to live, then maybe we did at least some stuff right."
A very clean and sterile cart comes pushing along. Wallace stands in confidence in front of it, no longer being scared. Then, he sees the old nurse lady pushing the cart.
"It's you," she states.
"I thought Dr. Eath was doing the surgery," says Wallace.
"She'll do it just as well," reassures Steven.
"If it weren't for you celebrities taking all the wealth from us poor towns and people," complains the nurse, "then maybe you'd have a better staff in these poor towns. Shut your trap and SCRAM! I need to focus."
"Let's go," says Steven as they all walk away.
Wallace nervously walks back in the room. They said that surgery was complete, and Wallace prays that Lisia will have all four of her limbs on her and she'll be breathing and they can all rest easy. However, that is far from the truth that he sees. He sees a very much exhausted Lisia with a bandaged stump on her left arm along with a totally missing foot on her right foot. and some missing toes on her left.
Lisia weakly smiles at the trio, "Hi guys."
Wallace goes to Lisia and starts crying on her. She pats him on the head.
"Be happy it wasn't you," comforts Lisia.
"Why?" asks Wallace. "Why should I be happy it wasn't me? You have girls all around the world looking towards you for inspiration, and now here you are. I could've lived my life bound to a wheelchair for the rest of my life, but I know you couldn't bear it. You still had many contests you wanted to do, and you wanted to help Steven, but now that's gone."
"I know I can't do contests anymore," says Lisia. "I know I'm not like May. But I can still be happy being in my wheelchair and with my sole arm, still being able to be with you and everybody else. I can still meet my fans and make their dreams even if all they meet is a crippled Lisia."
"NO! NO!" cries Wallace as he gets down on his knees.
Steven pats Wallace on the back and looks serious saying, "Are you feeling better, Lisia?"
"A bit," she explains. "I can fully judge my comfort when I'm out of bed probably."
"I'm glad that you have at least some comfort," weakly smiles Winona.
"LISIA!" yells a voice, being the doctor's. He goes up to her and immediately checks on her.
"What's wrong?" asks Steven.
"Vitals seem normal," says the doctor. "Wallace, did you say it was her right arm that was in pain?"
Wallace looks up at the doctor in horror and looks at Lisia's left stump. He touches it. "Tell me this is her right side."
"It is her left," the doctor declares. "Lisia, please move your right arm."
Lisia moves it a bit and says, "It hurts a little."
"We amputated the wrong arm."
"I knew I couldn't trust Lavender Town's hospital," complains Wallace. "I want to leave."
"I also found out we amputated the wrong foot."
"WHAT?!" Wallace yells. "Then she'll be completely limbless!"
"We can't have her die," says the doctor. "We'll be making sure you are all properly compensated for this. Lisia, you will be going back into surgery very shortly."
"Doctor," says Wallace, "I don't approve of this."
"No," says Steven. "Wallace, you said it was okay last time. They made some mistakes. Yes, some horrible ones, but this will truly make it better."
"HOW DO I KNOW THEY WON'T CUT OFF HER HEAD?!" yells Wallace. "Or remove her boobs and cut out her teeth or poke her eyes?"
"Because I'll do it this time," states the doctor. "My young nurse who did the amputation previously was given inadequate information. I will do it properly."
"Young?" mumbles Winona.
"I'm willing," says Lisia.
Wallace turns to Lisia and looks at her in horror. "You don't have to do this."
"No, I do," says Lisia. "I trusted your instincts before and I'll trust those ones again. Things'll be right."
"But you'll be less of a girl than May!"
"I know, but I think this is what I want."
"Please, don't do this, Lisia."
"Wallace, trust me," says Lisia. "This is you making up for what happened at the volcano. Let me give you one last hug."
With her one arm, Lisia wraps it around Wallace, and Wallace responds with tight arms. "I don't want to let go."
"It's inevitable..."
"Please Lisia, I don't want to see you down. You inspire people. Four limbed Lisia did contests that were amazing and made every single one of her fans special. Now, no limbed Lisia rests and lives. Please Lisia, wake me up and let this nightmare end."
Lisia looks at Wallace and then closes her eyes. She lets go of him and lays back down.
"The surgery will begin immediately," declares the doctor.
Wallace enters the room for a second time, nervous and feeling the same feelings as before. He enters, horrified to see stumps on both sides of her arms and to see her with no feet.
"LISIA!" cries Wallace as he goes back down to the ground and cries for an eternity.
Lisia looks at him in sadness, unable to hug him due to her lack of arms. Winona and Steven attempt to smile though Lisia only remains sad, her chipper self seeming not to return. Winona and Steven start to cry too, Lisia begins to also.
Lisia returned home, seemingly deprived of all energy. Wallace could not bear to watch her, and she was put under the care of May and Brendan. Juan took over Sootopolis Gym, and Wallace retreated to Sinnoh and kept himself in isolation for six months. He stayed in zero contact with anyone and avoided all contact with anyone from Hoenn. He took this time for himself and made some quite wonderful costumes. He made some for himself, some for his Pokémon. At the end of his six month isolation, he musters up the courage to make one for Lisia. He knows she'll never return to her career but just wants to make one in honor of her. Maybe, he'll return to Hoenn someday and show Lisia.
The magic of Pokémon Contests led him to desire to get out of his coup, and he signed up for a Contest. He still had his Pokémon and still had some of his costumes. This might maybe help him a little more with Lisia or might just break his heart completely.
The day finally came, and Wallace finally got out of his house. It was so beautiful, and the lakeside view looked so much better than it did from the window. The fresh air was addictive, and it felt to him like there was no reason to go inside. He gets in his car and goes down the roads to the contest hall, listening to a burned CD of Lisia's favorite tunes. He definitely feels more in the spirit of Pokémon Contests now.
Backstage, Wallace keeps a low profile and mostly keeps to himself. He talks to his Pokémon and gives them reassurance especially since it's been a wrong time. Suddenly, a girl comes running up to him and wraps her legs around him.
"WALLACE!" says the high pitched voice.
"Wh-who- LISIA?" says Wallace in complete excitement as he starts to hug her too. "I never thought I'd get a hug from you again, but you are." Wallace begins crying and lets go of the hug. Lisia gets back on the ground, standing on her stumps.
"Lisia is back!" she says cheerfully. "And you even made it for her comeback! Whoo! I'm so honored to have one of my greatest fans onstage with me to see my return!"
"You are back!" he says gleefully. "You're even wearing your old costume!"
"I always have to return to my roots," states Lisia.
"B-but how are you going to do the show?" asks Wallace. "And how are you walking on your stumps and how were you able to hug me and how-"
"May helped me," smiles Lisia as May hops up behind her with Brendan. "I've been training to balance walking on my leg stumps. I can't do anything fancy, but I certainly am walking. May has been helping me with everything, preparing for the show and whatnot. I was even practicing with her how I was going to go about hugging you! I'm so glad to see you back too."
"But how are you going to send out your Pokémon without arms?" asks Wallace.
"You'll see," giggles Lisia as she walks away.
May smiles at Wallace. "Thank you, May. I thought I'd never see her on stage again. Really. I'm so grateful to you to see her smiling all over."
"No problem," says May as she hops off.
"All coordinators, head to the stage," says a voice on the loudspeaker. "All coordinators, head to the stage."
"You ready, green hair?" asks a blue-haired girl.
"Sure am," he states as all the coordinators walk on to their show.
