Aurora High School (Introduction Part Two)
Introduction Part One Introduction Part Two Masterpost
Summary: After starting their junior year in high school, the Jones twins find themselves meeting new people, setting them on a track towards new friendships, new romances, new heartbreaks, and many new adventures.
Pairings: (Eventual) Scarlett Jones x Finian de Seel, Tyler Jones x Saedii Gilwraeth, and Aurora O'Malley x Kaliis Gilwraeth
Word count: 2,964
Author's Notes: Part two! This is going to be the last pre-set plot point for a bit, because requests are officially open! I'm going to elaborate on it in a later post, so look out for that!
Important Author's Notes: This story contains a character who uses a wheelchair. I did do some research, but since I don't experience it, it's virtually impossible for me to be an expert on this topic. If you are more knowledgeable about this than I might be, and you notice an inaccuracy, please let me know what it is and I'll try to fix it!
Scarlett and Tyler walked down the street towards the park, looking around at familiar houses and talking as they did.
"So, who did you invite?" Scarlett asked.
"Well, Cat, as always." Tyler told her. "Plus Aurora, and Kal. His sister's coming too, I said it would be fine if she did."
"When did you have time to get Aurora's number?" Scar kicked a pebble that was resting on the sidewalk.
"Turns out, we have the same gym class. I asked her for it there, because I realized that I forgot to when we did that tour." Tyler quickly explained. He looked at the clock on his phone. It was only three o'clock, meaning that they had at least four or five hours until the sun went down. "Did you invite anyone?"
"Of course. I wouldn't have let you pick the entire guest list." Scarlett shook her head. "I'd think that you'd know me better than that by now, it's been 17 years."
"Well then who did you text?"
"Zila and Finian." Scarlett said matter-of-factly. "Oh, and Cat. In case you forgot to."
"Finian is the kid from the principal's office, right?" Tyler's brows drew together.
"That's the one." Scarlett nodded.
"Are you sure he's not…" Tyler trailed off. Scarlett finished the thought for him.
"Am I sure he's not what? Bad news? A troublemaker?" She raised an eyebrow. "You were in the principal's office too, you know. And I don't hear anyone calling you bad news."
Tyler was quiet after that. He knew she was right. That, and he didn't feel like arguing about it right now. Scar was smart, she would be able to deal with things herself. And hey, maybe he shouldn't judge this guy so quickly. He probably hadn't even done anything too bad.
Ten minutes later, they got to the park. It was a wide open space with paved paths crossing through it, all leading to a wooden gazebo in the center. There was a parking lot on the opposite side with a few cars in it. Trees were scattered along the border of the park, as well as a few within the grassy area. It was a little windy, so the warm colored leaves were bristling in the trees, and the fallen ones were tumbling across the ground.
Tyler and Scarlett walked to the gazebo, where Cat was already sitting on a bench waiting for them. She smiled as she saw them approach.
"Told you I'd get here first, Ty." She teased.
"You're on the track team, it's not my fault you're faster than me." Tyler shot back as he and his sister sat across from her.
"That's no excuse, you're on the football team. Running is a big part of that too." She pointed out. "But anyway, moving on from the topic of who's faster even though it's totally me. What are we going to do today?"
"Well first things first, we're going to wait for the rest of the people we invited to get here." Scarlett gestured to the mostly empty table.
"So it's not just us this time?" Cat's smile faltered for a moment before returning.
"Nope, not just us." Tyler shook his head.
Just as he finished speaking, a car pulled into the parking lot. It was sleek, painted black with white accents. It had a certain look, like it was capable of going insanely fast but it was never really used for that. Kal stepped out of the passenger's seat. From the driver's side door came a girl who was very clearly his sister. They had the same dark hair and eyes, and the same tall and elegant stature. The sister's eyes were lined heavily, and she had black lipstick and nail polish on. The pair strolled over to the gazebo, and while Kal sat down, his sister stood by the edge.
"Tyler, Scarlett." Kal greeted them. "This is my sister, Saedii."
"Great to meet you." Tyler smiled at her.
Saedii held up her hand as a way to tell him to shut up. "Save your breath. I'm only here because my brother needed someone to bring him."
Tyler's smile disappeared completely. It wasn't often that he met someone who seemed that firmly set on not liking him. Scarlett could tell by the look in his eyes that he was definitely going to make it his mission to try and become friends with Kal's sister. But it wouldn't be easy.
"So… what do you guys do for fun?" Scarlett asked, trying to spark a conversation.
"My sister and I both take fencing classes." Kal answered.
"Yes, and I am much more skilled with a sword than he is." Saedii said in a way that sounded both like she was bragging and like she was plotting a murder. "I'm on the wrestling team as well."
"Oh, yeah, I think I might've known that already." Cat smiled, surprised to find an interest that she shared with one of these people she'd just met. "I go to the matches sometimes, just for fun."
"Oh." Saedii seemed equally surprised. "And you… you're on the track team, correct?"
"Damn right I am!" Cat nodded proudly. "I'm the fastest one on the team, too."
"I play a sport too, actually. I'm on the football team." Tyler piped up.
"Very proud of yourself, I see. Are you often praised for what you do?" Saedii raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I-"
"Then perhaps you should stop letting the compliments get into your head. There's barely any room for the rest of us in this gazebo alongside you and your ego." Saedii deadpanned.
Tyler frowned. He hadn't even done anything wrong, he'd just mentioned that he was on the football team. Kal had mentioned that his sister didn't like football players, but apparently Tyler had underestimated just how much she hated them. "Well you're one to talk."
The conversation died down and became awkward, slightly hostile silence.
Soon enough, Zila arrived on foot. She was carrying her backpack with her, and how she'd managed to walk all the way to the park with a bunch of heavy school books was a mystery. She stopped in her tracks when she saw how many people were there.
"I was unaware of how big this gathering would be." She muttered.
"Hey, Z." Scarlett waved to her. "You can sit down, if you want."
"I think I will be alright standing." Zila assured her. "I do appreciate the sentiment, though."
Scarlett shrugged. "Okay, if you insist. But there's a spot for you if you change your mind."
A few more awkward minutes of no talking went by. Very few of the people in the gazebo actually knew each other. Maybe it had been a mistake to invite a bunch of complete strangers to hang out with each other, but there wasn't really any time to go back.
After the long stretch of silence, Aurora got there on her bike. It was colorfully decorated, with hand-painted designs covering the entire frame. She chained it to the bike rack and walked over to where everyone else was sitting. She offered everyone a smile and wave, then sat down next to Tyler.
"Hi, everyone. I'm Aurora, but everyone calls me Auri." She said.
The moment he saw her, Kal was smitten. Aurora was beautiful, seemed very sweet, and was probably very creative based on the designs on her bike. Her eyes were unique, unlike anyone's he'd ever seen before. He was very clearly staring, but somehow, she hadn't noticed. Cat did though.
"Hey." Cat whispered harshly. "Loverboy. Might want to pick your jaw up off the ground, or else you might have to ask her out."
"I'm afraid I don't know what you mean." Kal's posture straightened and he scowled, glancing at Cat.
"Hm. Guess that's just how your face looks then." Cat shrugged. She didn't know him well enough to debate about this. Plus she didn't really care that much. But she'd make sure to keep an eye out.
And finally, the last car arrived. Well, it was actually a van. It was one of those big ones that could fit an entire family in it at once. It went a little bit past 'van' and bordered on 'bus'. Out of the driver's seat stepped a blonde woman, presumably Finian's mother because her features looked nearly exactly like his. Even from far away you would be able to tell that they were related. She went to the back of the car to get Fin's wheelchair, then brought it back around to the passenger's side door and helped him into it. She asked him something, and he replied quickly, but the people in the gazebo couldn't quite hear what they were saying.
Fin said goodbye to his mother and made his way to where the group was sitting. He smiled when he saw how many people were there. "Wow, if I knew I was coming to a party then I would've brought a punch bowl and something to spike it with. Hope I'm not the last one here." He circled around to the other side of the gazebo to use the ramp, then positioned himself at the end of the table and turned on the brakes of his wheelchair.
"Welcome to our little gathering, Finian." Scarlett waved. "This is Cat, Zila, Auri, Kal, and Saedii. Everyone, this is Fin."
"Your hair is so light! It would probably be really easy to dye, have you ever done it before?" Auri asked.
Fin shrugged. "I dyed it black once in 7th grade. Like, fully black, no colors or anything. That was my emo phase."
"Sounds like it could've worked." Cat leaned forward and rested her arms on the table.
"You know, you'd think that it would because my eyes are so dark, but it didn't. I just looked like a vampire. And not even in the hot-and-mysterious way." Fin shook his head. "My cousin dyes his hair black, and it doesn't look very good on him either, but I'd never say that to his face."
"I let these two dye my hair one time." Tyler gestured to Cat and Scarlett. "I had blue streaks in my hair for about a month, but they turned green after a few washes. It took forever to get all the dye out."
"Shampoos that contain sulfates cause hair color to fade." Zila muttered. "That is why color preserving shampoos work, because they don't contain sulfates."
"Huh. I didn't know that." Tyler's brows drew together in thought. "Interesting."
"What, are you planning on dyeing your hair again, Goldenboy?" Fin smirked.
"Never. I'm good." Tyler smiled and held up his hands.
Scarlett bumped shoulders with her brother. "I think that one of us dyeing our hair regularly is enough."
"I don't dye my hair. I have heard that it can be very damaging." Kal offered his input.
"It can be." Zila nodded, speaking louder this time, though her voice was still monotonous. "Because the dye is meant to break down your original hair color, the chemicals in it will dry out the strands."
"Which is another reason why I don't dye my hair anymore." Fin clapped his hands once.
The conversation faded away. For a little while, they'd forgotten that they didn't know each other, and had just been talking like friends. But it had hit like a brick wall that they had been complete strangers up until about 15 minutes ago. Aurora was the first to speak up.
"Anyone want to play a game?" She suggested.
Cat considered the idea for a moment. "I'm down. What were you thinking?"
"We could play truth or dare, except minus the dare part. Basically just asking each other questions, and we have to answer honestly. I'll ask the first question, if that's okay with everyone?" Aurora asked. No one protested, so she continued. "Hm… Fin. What's your favorite animal, and why?"
"I've gotta say that I don't have one. I haven't really thought about it much. But I'll tell you what my least favorite is." Fin made a wide gesture to the whole group. "Fish. My cousin, he's going to college to be a marine biologist. And he doesn't shut up about fish any chance he gets. Knows every single thing there is to know about fish. He could probably list off every single subcategory of fish like they were the damn periodic table song if you asked him to."
"Is this also the cousin who dyes his hair black?" Auri laughed.
"The very same!" Fin grinned. "But, we're officially off topic. Back to the questions. Goldenboy. If you could choose any superpower, what would it be?"
"Super strength." Tyler said as if he'd thought about it before. "It probably wouldn't be allowed in sports, but it would make a lot of other things easier."
"Plus then you wouldn't need to get up at 3 in the morning to do an entire workout routine before school." Scarlett teased.
"No, I'd still do that." Tyler smiled. "Now for a question… Zila?"
Zila looked up from whatever she'd been doing on her phone. "Hm?"
"How long do you think you'd last in a zombie apocalypse?"
"I think that I would die of natural causes in a zombie apocalypse. There is no way of knowing for sure, of course, because my survival would depend on variables such as the running speed of the zombies or how strong they were." Zila explained her thought process. "But in a scenario where they are slow, weak, and unintelligent, I would easily outsmart them."
"Slow, weak, and unintelligent… are we talking about zombies, or the people in my math class?" Cat smirked. That earned a laugh from the group.
The game lasted for a few more hours. They learned things about each other that they might not have thought about before. For example, they learned that Kal and Saedii had been to 63 countries, and after finding that out, Fin encouraged them to go to 6 more so the number would be perfect. They learned that Zila's favorite color was green. That Tyler had broken 10 bones in his lifetime. That Aurora was planning on joining the art club and the track team. That Scarlett had once accidentally downloaded a virus onto Ty's phone, causing him to need a new one. That Fin lived with both of his parents, 6 siblings, 2 aunts, 1 uncle, and 5 cousins, as well as next door to all of his grandparents, 4 uncles, 5 aunts, and 13 cousins. That Cat was already working on a few college applications. All in all, it had been a very interesting game, and before they knew it the sky was turning pink.
"I should probably get going." Fin squinted up at the sky. "My mom doesn't want me to be out past dark, and if I don't text her soon, she's going to come here on her own."
"That's a good idea. Scar and I should head home too." Tyler agreed. "Early to bed, early to rise, as they say."
"Well, if you two are leaving, the rest of us might as well disband too." Cat shrugged.
"How about we exchange numbers?" Aurora suggested, taking her phone out of her pocket. "I'd like to stay in touch with all of you."
Everyone else took out their own phones, and each took turns reading off their numbers. Tyler noticed that Kal's sister hadn't said anything.
"Saedii? Are you going to join the conversation?" He raised an eyebrow.
"No need." Saedii responded coldly, shaking her head. "Why would I need the numbers of my brother's friends?"
"Fine then. If that's really how you're going to think." Tyler waved his hand dismissively.
Aurora made a group chat with all of them in it and sent a quick 'hi', just so it would show up on the others' phones. After that, everyone went their separate ways. Cat and Zila started walking out of the park. Auri went to her bike, Kal and Saedii to their car. Finian texted his mom, then turned off the wheelchair brakes and went back to the parking lot. Scarlett and Tyler began the walk home.
"That went surprisingly well!" Scar said once they were out of earshot. "Usually it isn't the best idea to invite a bunch of people to hang out when they don't know each other, but they seemed to get along great for complete strangers."
"I don't really know if they can be considered strangers anymore, Scar." Tyler pointed out. "I'd even go as far as to say that we've made ourselves some new friends."
"I hope so. It gets so boring not having anyone to wave to in the halls." Scarlett stretched out the 'o' in 'boring'. And as dramatic as she was, Tyler had to admit that she was right.
"Yeah… I'm glad we met these guys."
The sun had set by the time they arrived back home. Adams greeted them when they came through the door, but there wasn't any small talk. Their days had been awfully draining. They figured it would be better to get to bed early, despite the fact that it was officially the weekend. Tyler went to bed early most days anyway, but this was especially rare for Scarlett.
They thought back on how crazy that day had been. First a new kid showed up, then Tyler got into a fight and went to the principal's office, then they'd made friends with a bunch of people they'd never met before. It was only the beginning of the school year. And as Tyler and Scarlett settled into bed in their own respective rooms, they both had the same thought on their minds.
This was going to be an interesting year, for better or for worse.

After establishing a clean slate, it was another week or two before Harry saw you again.
Another party, this one even less exciting than the last. Same people, same trashy outfits, same annoying cement and pebble water feature on someone else’s big patio overlooking the Valley. Harry was exhausted from work, but came out anyways at the behest of a girl he used to fool around with before she landed the coveted “woman on table” role in CSI and insisted she needed a boyfriend who was more supportive of her creative endeavors. She was fun but apparently that wasn’t what the big execs were looking for because she’d called him instead of Chad Michael Murray. He didn’t care much, but now that Nikki was off his couch and staying with a new woman until he managed to screw that up too, he wanted to go out. Alone. And have fun without cleaning up someone else’s mess. The beer was expensive and the food had been sitting out on ice too long to look appealing, but no one ate at these things. They were there for something else, something primal. To perform, to cultivate a tribe that would bolster them, to find a mate. For a night. Longer if the sex was good.
His cynical spiraling stopped short when her arms found his waist from behind. Harry’s smile wasn’t entirely fake, content to have someone who wanted him there and was excited to see him. She clung to his hand then his wrist when their palms stuck with clammy sweat from the warm evening air. He took plenty of opportunities to slip his hand into her back pocket, so tight his rings caught on the lip. Harry sword in his head and spun her close to kiss her, distract from the way he pulled his fingers free before palming the entire seat of her low rise jeans. There was nothing to grab so he slid his palms over the pockets until he found thigh with little warning and climbed back up, hoping it was hot and not weird. Girls already thought he was weird, he couldn’t lose those early moments when his kisses and his cute smile was enough to keep them around. He was painfully aware of his strengths. Nikki could con a woman into needing him for months, years in some cases, he groaned every time he saw Lindsey, too sweet to still be pining after that asshole. Harry had a couple weeks, max, before getting lost in his own head, staring at a hurt face on the cusp of tears without a thing to say. He knew he couldn’t make it better, so he froze. Every. Single. Time. This girl was different. She wouldn’t make it that long and he didn’t care.
He didn’t. Until he spotted you. He watched from a distance for a while, the way you wove through a room it looked like you’d rather not be in without looking smug or self righteous. The kitchen lights bounced off the shiny material of your jacket and Harry was determined not to lose you.
“Need a drink,” he mumbled while pulling away from her grabby hands.
“No, I’m okay, I’ve- hey!”
It wasn’t a question. Harry removed her legs from his lap, tossing them onto the lounge as gently as he could before holding up his hands apologetically and ducking into the crowd.
Through the giant windows, he could see you perusing the interior. It was a beautiful night and most people were huddled around the pool or one of the many diy bar carts scattered around. Slipping inside, he realized how much quieter it was and snapped the sliding door shut behind him. He briefly considered locking it. You looked up at the sound and your eyes softened remarkably. If you were happy to see him too, he’d have hit the jackpot.
“Didn’t take you for a creep.”
The half laugh half scoff that followed was cute. “Excuse me?” Your eyebrow cocked up and Harry put on his best smirk before letting it melt away into something more innocent and befitting the tone.
“Everyone else is outside,” he pointed out, crossing the room to plant his palms flat on the black marble island between you. “But you’re in here, alone… lurking.” You shook your head at him, but you were smiling.
“I’m not a party guest.”
“So this is breaking and entering?” Harry pushed up off the counter and threw an accusatory finger in your face.
“I haven’t broken anything!” You held your hands up in surrender.
Then, I can only assume you’re some sort of spy.”
It wasn’t a half laugh that time. It was real and full and even though you turned your body away from him, your eyes drifted back over the counter top to his. “I don’t think Darius is important enough to spy on,” you turned away again and started walking away. So that’s whose house we’re in. Harry shrugged it off. Most of the time he made a point to know, but he hadn’t that night and suddenly he was curious. If there was a connection between you and this Darius would he find it by following you around like a puppy? Couldn’t hurt.
Harry watched your fingers drift over certain surfaces, but your eyes were everywhere, taking in every inch of the space. Some corners received more scrutiny than others and he couldn’t make out why. You’d sent him more than one flirty smile, but he’d kept his distance in case it was just hopeful thinking. At least until you opened a sleek silver door with a wink and descended the freshly revealed stairs. The passage was dark and narrow with strips of lighting under each step to illuminate the way down and nothing else. It was a confusing combination for a house so big and bright, but at the base of the stairs, you’d stopped and turned to face him and he suddenly didn’t care. Harry took the last step down and found one of his feet sandwiched between your shoes. He shuffled forward until he could feel your thighs on either side of his. Not how he pictured the night going, but he had no objections. Reaching forward, he found one of your hands quickly and pulled you closer to him. He imagined your face just in front of his and with his free hand, reached up to find your cheek. It was fast, faster than he usually went, but why else would you have beckoned him into a dark secret room and squeezed his fingers so alluringly. He was going to kiss you, he’d already decided weeks ago, when he suddenly realized the hand he wasn’t holding had been groping the wall next to him. The large overhead light flicked on at your command and nearly blinded him in surprise. Your hand slipped from his without resistance and you laughed at him as you backed away, but it only made him want to kiss you more.
Ignoring the almost moment between you, you were already off, brushing your fingers along the dimpled glass bottoms of rows and rows of wine bottles. A cellar. A nice one too, Harry noted before looking back to you.
“I wanted to see the new addition,” you explained without being asked and gestured around above your head toward the party that continue without you two. Harry wasn’t missing it all at the moment. “I didn’t know I’d have so much company when I stopped by.”
“It’s just me now,” Harry pointed out, pulling a bottle from its resting place to peruse the label. It meant nothing to him, but he let out a mumbled ‘good year’ before slipping it back into the hollowed out groove. Just in case.
“That was a surprise,” you said.
“A good surprise?” He looked up again, hopeful. You only smirked and twirled around again, suddenly finding something that needed your attention more than him. Impossible.
Harry stepped up behind you, close enough to hear the gasp when the curve of your butt was suddenly pressed up against him. He leaned over your shoulder to speak into your ear, both hands resting on your waist. “Is this okay?” You nodded and his body was vibrating when you leaned back against him. His hands tried to slip forward to your stomach, but you quickly caught his wrists and pulled them higher. He didn’t mind at all, especially when you released his hands just before they slid over your breasts. They were more covered than the last time he saw you, but he didn’t care. He wasn’t allowed to touch them that night, not like he had before, making this moment an instant favorite.
Your sigh was quiet and yet it bounced around in his head lighting up memories of your night together like a cerebral pinball game as he squeezed the ample flesh and groaned himself at the feeling. He squeezed again, but let one hand travel even higher. Harry stuttered over the neckline of your tank top, briefly considering a deep dive underneath, before letting his fingers continue on their journey to your jaw. The slow turn gave him a moment to lick his lips and then they were on you. Your cheek, the corner of your mouth, then hungry for more, he was shocked to find your lips already seeking his out too. The kiss was hard, but a quick adjustment of his head and Harry was in control, moving his mouth slowly and trying every combination he could think of. His lip on top, his on bottom. When you sighed again, he tried more, liking the way his tongue felt under yours. Wet sounds and soft moans drowned out the approaching footsteps, or maybe he was choosing to ignore them, until an unfortunately familiar voice was letting his name ruin the moment with zero regard for how hot it was.
Your head turned to the stairwell quickly and Harry’s lips chased yours to no avail, landing behind your ear as she drew closer. You tried to pull away, but the blessed wine racks in front of you slowed your escape. He followed you up the stairs again, stopping for half a second to remind the rude interruption in a sparkly blue tube top that he was nothing to her. He tried to make his eyes sympathetic. Nikki wouldn’t have and he’d have Harry’s balls for wording his exit that way, when she was also nothing to him. That wasn’t his way. He could admit to himself that she was no one, someone fun from the past, but he’d always cling to the fact that she only saw the same in him. A warm lap to sit on when she was bored. Which is why he didn’t care what she thought about him practically sprinting away from her without much explanation, but as he hustled through the party crowd and out into the empty street, he knew that he didn’t want you thinking of him the same way. Or worse.

Synopsis:  When Steve Rogers comes across you liberating hens from a battery farm his initial reaction is to arrest you.  He certainly wouldn’t assume that the woman who he initially pegs as a criminal might not be so different from him after all.

Chapter 3
The pickup rattled into the compound laden down with lumber, mesh and other supplies to build a hen house and chicken run.  Steve guided you to park near the building the Avengers called home.
The two of you climbed out and you looked around.  “Henhouse is going to look so strange out here.  Where were you thinking?”  You asked.
Steve looked around.  He really didn’t have any idea.  Yes, there was a lot of land around here but there were always people training with guns, or jets landing, or trucks driving through.
“I know this might sound weird but could we put it up on the roof?”  He asked.
“Yeah, we could.  You’d need to put turf up there though.”  You said, looking up.  “There’s a lot of roof space though and it might be a good way to protect against predators.  Still, need to worry about hawks.”
“Turf’s doable,”  Steve said.
“You could put a little vegetable garden up there too.”  You suggested.  “Get some railway sleepers to box them off.  It’d be nice.”
Steve nodded.  It was actually a pretty nice project.  Bucky had been talking about growing produce and Wanda and Vision were both very into gardening.  Currently, they had a little flower garden around the edge of the building.  With how Wanda liked to cook, Steve thought having fresh eggs and vegetables would be something that she loved.
“Alright.  Let’s go up and see what we’re dealing with.”  You said.
Tumblr media
You and Steve had plotted out a site that filled the roof of the Avengers living quarters.  It was a large even space and allowed for a lot of creativity.  In the end, it became quite elaborate.  Especially when Wanda, Vision, and Bucky all started to add their opinions in.
The turf was delivered.  As was mulch, pebbles, soil, and manure.  There were more trips out to the hardware store with you for lumber and other supplies.  It took a few weeks of work to get done but in the end, there was a large run for the chickens that ran down one side of the building and was caged off to protect from birds of prey.
Deep garden beds were erected out of the railway sleepers.  Long wide ones that were planted with various seasonal vegetables.  Square ones that housed apples, orange and lemon trees.  Long narrow ones that had blueberry bushes, rosemary and Bay Laurel.  Between the planters, the pebbles were laid out and on the opposite side of the building an arbor was erected and they’d planted passionfruit vines, in the hopes they’d grow up over it to create a cover for the table and chairs they’d put up there.
By the time the chickens were returned by the vet, it was looking really good.  It would make a nice spot to just relax and hang out.
Steve invited the team up to check out all the work, you, he, Bucky, Wanda, and Vision had done.  He set up a grill and brought up drinks so that everyone could just enjoy the new space.
“Damn, Steve.  You guys have been busy.”  Sam said as the group all came out through the door onto the roof.
“Chickens?  You have chickens?”  Clint asked beelining straight for their run.
Steve gave you a look and you smirked at him.  “I suggested he get bees as well.”  You said.
“Oh yes!”  Wanda said excitedly.  “We should get bees.  I would love fresh honey and they could pollinate our plants.”
“So who’s your friend, Cap?”  Tony asked.  You offered Tony your hand and introduced yourself.  “I know that name.”  He said.  “Of Genexis?”
“Yeah, that’s my dad’s company.”  You said.  “I don’t have a lot to do with them.”
“Man, my dad used to joke about marrying me off to someone from your family,”  Tony said.  “How did you meet Cap?”
“I plan out this kind of thing.  Steve had an idea that he wanted a rooftop farm.  He called me up.”  You lied.  Steve was impressed by how quickly it came to you, though he did worry about lying to Tony again.  But it wasn’t his story to tell.  You being some kind of animal liberator wasn’t going to hurt Tony.  Tony know could hurt you.  So Steve didn’t say anything.
“Still can’t understand what little city boy Steve wanted in a mini-farm, but I gotta admit.  It looks great.”  Tony said.
“Yeah, it’s gonna be a great place to hang out,”  Sam said.  “Drink a few beers, grill some steaks.”
“That’s the idea.”  Steve agreed.  “Plus, Wanda, Vis, and Buck are all into the gardening.”
“And you’ve got a reason for your new friend to come around, huh?”  Sam teased.
A blush crept up the back of Steve’s neck and he wasn’t even sure why.  He hadn’t even particularly thought about you like that.  Now that it was pointed out to him though, he’d actually really liked spending time with you.  You were intelligent, passionate and fun to be around.  You were, however, a criminal.  How successful could anything between you really be?  Even a friendship?  He was supposed to be one of the good guys.
“Look at him blush,”  Natasha teased.  “I guess we will be seeing more of you around.”
“I guess we’ll see,” you agreed.  Though when you looked at him, he could see in your eyes, you were thinking the exact same thing, Steve was.

This Fine bit of Free Real Estate you see before you is the land of Zeta.
This Map was brought to you by inkarnate.com One of the best Fantasy Map Makers thats completely free to use
I left off some parts of the map such as the gnome village, the pyres, the aarakocra nest, the tower label. the hags label, lunar isle label, lake label, taverns, inns, brothels Its a creativity canvas for you all! If you are interested in some of the stuff I just mentioned, questions like, why is Isleview the most racially diverse? and why is Fort Tau named so? And what the hell happened to the city of eden?? Give me a comment and Ill tag you in the lore post when I post it x
I made this big ol' bad boi myself, I thought I'd share it with any other DMs out there who might struggle with world creation and be quite good at characters, or cities, or plots, or whatever it is you shine at! We can't all be good at everything! Just give a little and enjoy yourself Anyway, Here's a little bit about Zeta!
TaDAH! You're looking at the very first map I ever drew of Zeta
Needless to say that it is ENTIRELY different (Thank god) You'll notice some things managed to make the final cut, codcatch for example (I just fell in love with the name, I have no idea why - its so bad) plus the towers (Yes, theyre supposed to be towers) around the City was kept in, but given to the Orc settlement this time
But thats enough about that! I hear you cry; "What use is a fucking map bruh?" "Dude, your map is lame, you better come up with something better"  "BRO, you suck, I need some Lore"
You-Throw-Like-a-Gnoll has got you covered! First things first! I've added some racial limitations to make this game a little more 'interesting' (Insert menacing laugh) To be honest, I just love going on a power trip <3
Racial Limitations
No Half-Orc or Homebrew Orc-kin No Dwarves or Homebrew Dwarf-kin All other races allowed, Homebrew races must be given reasonable cause for arriving/existing Lunar island on west coast, woodlands, mountain and broken islands all available for said task
Okay. okay, okay - I know Hill Dwarves are the shit. I know. But you gotta just let them go for this one campaign! My reasoning for this is pretty simple - They got fucking annihilated. Like off the face of Zeta. Orcs are disallowed as PCs because of more political reasons. They're bad, and they've always been bad. They've also never been encountered by any human alive today. This is because they live in The Maw, but more on that later
Recommended starting locations
This is pretty self explanatory, I mean, depending on what type of campaign to run, you're gonna wanna start somewhere different.
Adventure: Codcatch, Isleview
War : Fort Tau, Tryevale
Mystery: Tryevale, Fort Tau, Illaris Temple
Horror: Fort Tau, The Maw
Interplanar: Isleview
Intercontinental: Tryvale, Illaris Temple (I added intercontinental because hey, I know a lot of people might want to use this as a once-off before beginning their own world creation, I SUPPORT YOU SO MUCH! Steal this shit from me, send me a kiss and forget about me when you're done! I'm okay with this <3 If anything i've said so far has helped you build your campaign, you've made my day)
Recommended Arcs This one could do with some more explaining on some parts so its gonna be (Dramatic Music intensifies) a TWO-PARTER!
Recommended Arcs:
Adventure: Island in the lake, Tower in the forest, Hag's Knife (northern most point) Illaris Temple, The pyres light one day War: The Maw is the most obvious,        --------SubWar - Invasion - Lunar Isle invasion, Dwarven  revival Mystery: Murder in the capitol, spies in the Fort, whats amiss in the temple Horror: Escape from the Maw, Return of the Duergar Interplanar: Save the island from the curse, Fend off the invasion Intercontinental: Set off on a journey to bring back a coveted magical item, what made the volcano stop
Thats the short of it guys! I'm probably gonna make some more posts about the lore and other politics and stuff, I already have some very interesting lore about that lake done! A lot of open ended stuff also to help you along the way, but to give you full creative license! Which is what DnD is all about! Anyway, heres the Long version of the Recommended Arcs, hope you enjoyed reading
Adventure-
Island in the lake - Looks like the tracks are still there, but the land is gone... Tower in the forest - Someone spoke of a Wizard that grants 3 wishes  Hag's Knife - Does the Hagraven's blood hold the secret that you want to hear Illaris Temple - Anyone who has left the temple has taken an eternal vow of silence (The Pyres light) - This requires some more in-depth lore, Comment below if you'd like to be tagged in the Lore post!
War- The Maw - The Maw is ran by Orcs (inhabited by Hobgoblins and Co. See Volo's Guide to Monsters on advice on how Hobgoblins assemble in armies, very interesting read), no one has fought an orc and lived, few have even seen orcs - One day during training in Fort Tau - you see a hundred Lunar Isle invasion - One day, A magically echoing scream is heard from Lunar island, one of the portals on the island  opens up bigger than ever before Dwarven Revival - The Thumping of Dwarven Music can be heard in the distance, The Hobgoblins abandon their posts
Mystery- Murder in the capitol - easy peasy squeezey lemons Spies in the for t- Easy squeezy lemon peasy Whats amiss in the temple - See adventure
Horror-
Escape from The Maw - You all end up in chains, hobgoblins and trolls taunt you with pebbles and hang food just out of your reach, one night, a Lawful cleric frees you all from your chains, what do? Return of the Duergar - See Dwarven Revival, but add +4 to spook Interplanar - Save the island from the curse - this doesn't fit into the lore so much, as it assumes the lunar island is cursed. but hey, Creativity is the name of the game! Fend off the invasion - See Lunar Isle invasion
Intercontinental - This list isn’t even CLOSE to being complete, intercontinental could literally mean, lets get the fuck off this island and go do quests somewhere else! The Stopped Volcano - A long Haul, Late Game, Lore Heavy, Late Night, Lose your Mind, Load the gun and shoot yourself in the face because this story is so long but so interesting so i cant stop playyyinggggggggg story. But youre gonna need to wait for the lore post for this one ;) Love you all, If you made it this far, I applaud you, you're making me smile,
Be nice to each other and never grow up

CNC Machine 3d Carving 3d Router Machine
CNC machine 3d carving refers to a 3D woodworking engraving machine with a rotating spindle. Compared with ordinary 3 axis CNC machines, they have a common x, y, z axis, plus an additional A axis, this axis can be rotated around the X axis during processing, the maximum rotation angle can reach 180 degrees. The cnc machine 3d carving allows cutting and engraving on multiple sides of the workpiece without resetting, while the 3-axis CNC router can only cut and engrave one side of the same piece at a time. Now this 4 axis CNC wood router machine has been widely used in processing wooden furniture, cabinets, cabinet doors and sculptures, advertising signs, musical instruments and other products. CNC operators require computer training to implement routing programs and knowledge of the material, and a degree of creativity. A combination of technological advancements and computer processes has reduced the time and amount of labor required to produce finished parts and increased output. In turn, ease of operation has increased production capacity. Parts are produced with precision, increased efficiency, and speed at an exponential rate.Because of the increase in the production speed and capacity, resource consumption is greatly reduced, which, economically and ecologically, is cost-effective and environmentally responsible. The chance of human error is negated by computerization of the operations, further saving on time and valuable resources. It also greatly contributes to repeatability—the ability to mass-produce precision parts without variation. Finally, because workers are removed from the operational areas of CNC routers, from the vicinity of sharp tool heads and dangerous components, CNC production environments are far safer for workers.features of cnc machine 3d carving:1.3d router machinewith small space occupied, and less power consumption.2.Stable heavy duty structure, long lifetime using.3.Vacuum & T-slot working table, fast and easy to fix materials on table.4.DSP/NCSTUDIO controller, easy operation, professional for cutting and engraving.5.Auto lubrication system for regular maintenance, convenient to use.6.USB interface, easy to transfer G code.CNC machine 3d carving applicationBuilding Industry (General Woodworking, Kitchen Cabinet & Door, Facades & Curtainwall, Column & Balustrade)Sign& Advertising (Signage Indoor & Outdoor, Engraving& Bas-Relief, 3D Letters, Funeral)Relief sculpture and 3D engraving and cylindrical project.Plastics & Composites (ACP, ACM and solid surface material, etc)Non-ferrous metals & MarineSuitable MaterialWood: Plywood, Soft Wood, Hard Wood, MDF, ChipboardPlastic: Acrylic, ABS, HDPE, PVC, UHMW, HDPEStone: Granite, Marble, Slate, Basalt, Pebbles, Natural Stone, Ceramic, PorcelainSoft Metal: Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Mild SteelComposite: Aluminium Composite, Copper Composite, Titanium Composite, Zinc Composite.

Logitech wireless keyboard might seem like they’re a dime a dozen on Amazon and other big retailers, but there’s one Logitech keyboard model that’s unlike all the others: It never needs new batteries or to be plugged in and recharged.
We’re talking about the excellent Logitech K750 keyboard, which has integrated solar panels that keep the wireless keyboard fully charged at all times.
There are models available for both Windows and Mac computers, and they’re both currently discounted at Amazon for a limited time.
Are you tired of recharging your wireless keyboard or replacing the batteries? With so many people working from home these days, there’s a good chance you had to dig up some crummy old keyboard that barely lasts for a month on a charge. Or worse yet, you might be using the keyboard on your laptop and staring at that tiny little screen instead of connecting it to a nice big monitor. Well, we have some good news: It’s time for the madness to end.
No, we’re not suggesting you should switch back to a wired keyboard like a caveman. Instead, you’ve got to check out the Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard. It recharges when it’s in indoor or outdoor light, which means it’s constantly recharging the entire time you use it unless you’re typing in the dark for some reason. You literally never have to change the batteries or plug this keyboard in to charge — how awesome is that?!

Big Brother
Summary: Ten times Keah Reigns needed her big brother, and one time she didn’t.
Pairing: Dean Ambrose x OC.
Word Count: 3500+
Warnings: Cursing, very quick blood mention (a child with a scraped knee)
Author’s Note: This takes place in a weird mix of reality and kayfabe. They all go by their ring names (it just makes me more comfortable to write that way) but the matches are planned and decided by creative. I hope that’s not too confusing for anyone.
Tagging:@castielscamander / @therealfivefeetoffuckingfury

“Ro-Ro!” Three year old Keah cried from where she sat on the ground, clutching her knee. She wailed, crying for her older brother until the seven year old ran over.
“Kiki, what’s wrong?” Roman knelt at her side, trying to asses why the girl was crying. She continued to sob as she moved her hand from her leg, showing the scraped skin she was crying over. A few tiny pebbles were stuck to her skin and a little dribble of blood making its way down her leg.
“A’right, come here.” He took her little hand in his, leading her calmly into the house. Her wailing calmed into sniffles and whimpers as she followed.
He brought her into the bathroom and helped her to sit on the closed toilet lid before climbing up the step stool to get into the medicine cabinet. He rifled through, finding the box of band aids.
“No!” She cried when he grabbed at the box of plain band aids. He groaned and looked deeper in the cabinet until he found the Little Mermaid band aids. He set them on the counter before wetting a washcloth, Keah watching with wide, wet eyes.
Roman knelt in front of her and cleaned her knee with as much gentle care a seven year old boy could manage. She whined and flinched, trying to pull away.
“Kiki, I gotsta get the rocks out. Stop it.” He huffed. When the knee was cleared of visible debris, he put the band aid over the scrape. “There.”
“Hurts.” Keah sniffled. Without hesitation, Roman leaned forward and kissed her knee.
“Better?” He asked. Keah nodded and squirmed to get off the toilet. Roman stood and helped her down.
              “T’anks Ro-Ro.”
##
“Ro!” The shriek echoed through the house, startling Roman. “Roman, help!”
Roman jumped up from the floor of his bedroom and rushed to the door, calming when he heard the laughter of his twin cousins. If Jimmy and Jey were visiting there was a good chance they were the cause of the shrieking instead of some emergency. Roman smiled as he ran down the stairs.
“Make ‘em stop!” His little sister begged, barrelling into him as he reached the bottom of the stairs. He took in the sight in front of him, the twins carrying around a plastic snake they must have been chasing Keah with.
              “Really?” He laughed.
“There you are!” Jimmy grinned, throwing the snake at Roman and making Keah yelp as she hid behind him. Roman just eyed the toy and thought how fake it looked.
“We was lookin’ for you!” Jey added. “Wanna play ball?”
“Let’s go.” Roman nodded. He had been playing with his action figures in his room so it’s not like their unexpected arrival had interrupted anything. “Kiki, tell Ma I went out with the twins, kay?” He didn’t wait for an answer as he and the twins bolted towards the front door.
“Ro!” She called after him, making him stop while the twins kept running. He turned to look at her with annoyance. She was hiding behind the banister now, pointing at the toy snake.
“Guys, you forgot your stupid toy.” He called after his cousins, crossing to pick it up before chasing after the twins.
###
“Roman?” Keah sniffled quietly, knocking on his bedroom door. She could hear music coming through the door so she knew he was home. She waited a minute, rubbing her eyes. Her hand came back tinted black and purple from the make-up she had carefully applied before her date. She must look a mess.
She waited another second before giving up, turning to go to her own room. She was halfway down the hallway when her brother’s door opened.
“Keah? Did you just knock?” He asked, sticking his head out. “I barely heard ya over the stereo.”
“Y-yeah, I did.” She half turned to look at him.  “Don’t worry about it.” She waved him off.
“Woah, wait.” He stepped into the hallway, his face full of concern. “What happened?”
“Uh, Kevin…” She started, Roman’s expression turning from concern to anger.
“What did he do?” He growled as he moved closer, looking over his sister for any sign of harm.
“He broke up with me.” She cried. The tension left his body upon hearing Keah wasn’t physically harmed. He pulled her into a hug, his large frame engulfing her tiny body.
“I’m so sorry Kiki. He wasn’t good enough for you.”
“B-but I love him.” She argued.
“He’s a little bitch.” Roman rolled his eyes. He never liked the kid.
“Ro!” She huffed, smacking him on the arm.
“Not sorry. He’s an idiot for giving you up.” Roman let her cry as he held her in the hallway, the homework he’d been working on forgotten.
“Hey, how ‘bout I drive over to the parlor and get us some ice cream? Get into some comfy clothes while I’m out and pick out a movie, okay?” He offered.
“Any movie?” She sniffled. It was rare she was given carte blanche on a movie night.
“Any movie.” He confirmed. “I know its shit right now, Kiki, but Kevin was nothing. You’ve got your whole life ahead of you to find a guy that’ll treat you right. Plus I’m here to beat the shit out of the ones who don’t.”
####
“Roman, get your tall ass down here!” Keah screamed up the stairs.
“I’m comin’! Simmer the fuck down.” He yelled back as he descended the stairs groggily.
“Language!” Their mother called from the kitchen.
“Sorry Ma.” They answered back in stereo.
“Where’s the damn fire?” Roman asked.
“What? Just because you’re some hot shot college guy, you’re not gonna help with the Christmas tree?” She rolled her eyes. “I told you like twenty times we were doing that today.”
“Still not tall enough to reach it yourself, shorty?” He teased, ruffling her hair when he reached where she was standing.
“We can’t all be built like a damn football player, okay?” She shoved him, not surprised when he didn’t even budge. He laughed her off before moving into the living room. They decorated the tree together, their mother leaving the kitchen to help when she could before returning to stir or baste or work whatever magic went into her cooking.
“Ma, we’re doing the star.” Roman called out to her as he knelt down so Keah could sit on his shoulders. They had put the star on the tree this way for years, going back to when they were kids. Roman could reach it on his own by now, but it was tradition.
Their mother bustled into the room, wiping her hands on her apron before grabbing the camera to take the yearly photo.
“You been putting on weight, sis?” Roman teased as he stood, grunting and acting like he could barely stand.
“Asshole!” Keah shrieked, smacking him upside the head. “Maybe you’re just getting weak. Too many keggers and not enough training.”
“Language!” Their mother snapped, even if she was fighting back a smile. She knew the way the two of them teased and bickered. “Can the two of you please just behave long enough for the picture?”
“Sorry Ma.” They apologized in unison as they posed for the photo.
#####
“Roman! Roman Reigns!” Keah yelled, trying to get her brother’s attention. He turned, looking for the source and she waved her arms at him from where she stood, blocked by security from going backstage.
“Keah!” He smiled, saying goodbye to the man he was talking to before jogging over. “It’s cool man. She’s my sister.” He told the security guard before pulling her into a hug. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming today?”
“Last minute plans, get off you’re all sweaty!” She complained, trying to push him away. He laughed and released her from the hug, keeping one arm draped over her shoulders. She huffed, but left it there.
“Did you see my match?” He asked, leading her through the backstage hallways.
“No, I had my eyes closed the entire time.” She rolled her eyes. “Of course I saw your match. That’s kinda the reason I’m here, dumbass.”
“Don’t make me throw you through a table too.” He threatened playfully.
“You wouldn’t do that to your sweet, innocent little sister would you?” She pouted.
“Of course not. If you see her around here, let me know.” Keah scoffed and hip checked him as he laughed. “I’m stuck with my annoying, bratty little sister for now.”
“Roman!” A man called from down the hall as he sauntered towards them. “Good match brotha!”
Roman released Keah to give the other man a handshake that they both pulled into a one-armed pat on the back. Keah stood awkwardly to the side, watching the dirty blonde and her brother discuss his match.
“Oh, shit. My bad. Keah, this is Dean. We’ve been training together. Dean, this is my little sister.” Roman smiled, wrapping his arm over her shoulders again.
“Ahh, little Reigns.” Dean laughed. “Here I was thinking you’d picked up some ring rat.”
               “Excuse me?” Keah scoffed.
               “Watch it.” Roman growled.
“Hey, hey! I didn’t mean it like that.” Dean jumped to defense. “I see you walkin’ ‘round with a pretty girl under your arm… that’s all I’m sayin’. Didn’t know she was blood.”
“We gonna have a problem, Ambrose?” Roman warned.
“No, no problem.” Dean took a step back, reassuring the larger man.
“Roman, be nice.” Keah took pity on the man, smiling sweetly at him. “You can’t chase away every guy that calls me pretty.”
“Thanks, sweetness.” Dean relaxed, grinning back at her.
“But you can go after the ones who call me a ring rat.” She smirked up at her brother. Roman returned the smirk before turning back to glare at Dean.
“Fuck me.” Dean groaned before Roman charged him, all three laughing.

“Ro, where are you? I only have the van rented for a few hours.” Keah whined into the phone as she stood on the porch, watching down the street for her brother to arrive.
“Relax, we’re almost there.” His voice crackled through the phone. “I had to pick up the guys.”
“The guys? Did Jimmy and Jey get the day off?” She asked, perking up at the thought of seeing her cousins.
“Nah, but I grabbed a few guys to help. Don’t worry about it. We’re turning the corner now.” The line clicked dead as she saw her brother’s SUV turn down the street. She pouted, both at the non-goodbye and that her cousins weren’t able to come help her move. She hadn’t seen them in a while and was looking forward to spending time with them. At least Roman would have help with the heavy lifting she supposed.
Roman parked the SUV next to the empty cube van. She watched as he climbed out, followed by Dean and Seth. She had met both men a few times and liked Seth well enough, although she didn’t know him very well yet. Dean was… an interesting man.
“Hey guys.” She called as she walked down the stairs. “Thanks for helping.”
“Hey, what good are all these muscles if we can’t lift some furniture?” Seth teased, flexing. Keah laughed and shook her head.
“I even promised to not go through your underwear drawer.” Dean smirked, causing Roman to glare at him.
“I don’t even wanna know why that was even brought up.” Keah shook her head.
“Ignore him.” Roman huffed. “But also don’t let him near your underwear.”
“Can we get started and stop talking about my underwear please?” Keah begged.
“Well there go all my conversation starters.” Dean shrugged, dodging as both Seth and Roman swung at him.
#######
“I don’t know if I can do this, Ro-Ro.” Keah mumbled nervously, staring at the monitor in front of her as she shifted from side to side. She was moments away from her first ever televised match and quickly having second thoughts about choosing to follow in her brother’s footsteps.
“Keah, you got this.” Roman reassured her, placing his hands on her shoulders to steady her. “You’ve been training hard, you’ve practiced the spots with Bayley a million times. You’re ready.”
“I’m not. I’m really not.” She shook her head, shaking as the current match ended.
“Yes you are, Kiki.” He argued.
“Yeah, Kiki.” A second deep voice joined from behind her. She spun around to see Dean grinning at her.
“Ugh, you just had to hear that, didn’t you?” She scoffed. She knew Dean would never let that childhood nickname go now that he’d heard it.
“What do you mean, Kiki? I didn’t hear anything, Kiki.” He teased.
“Can you not right now? I’m a little busy freaking the fuck out.” She gestured wildly at the curtain.
“Pfft, you’ve got this. Relax.” Dean shrugged.
“He’s right, even if he’s an ass.” Roman agreed.
“You both really think I can do this?” She asked, glancing between the two men.
               “No doubt, sweetness.” Dean nodded.
“Of course you can, you’re a Reigns.” Roman smiled proudly.
“Keah, you’re up first!” A man with a headset shouted towards the group. Keah nervously stepped closer to the opening of the curtain, feeling both men step forward with her.
“You’re gonna be great, and I’ll be right here when you’re done.” Roman told her, rubbing her shoulders. “Now go show them what us Reigns are made of.”
########
“Roman!” Keah called for her brother as she struggled towards their corner of the ring. She played up the pain she was in, selling the beat down she’d been receiving when in reality she was having the time of her life.
“Come on Keah!” Roman cheered, reaching his arm out as far as he could, Dean flailing beside him to get the crowd riled up.
The three of them were in a six person tag match facing The Usos and Tamina. The real life family ties were translating into amazing ring chemistry, the back and forth keeping the audience guessing who would come out on top.
She finally got close enough to tag her brother in, forcing Tamina to tag in one of the twins. The two exploded out of their corners, the crowd going wild as they met in the center of the ring.
“You good?” Dean asked as she pushed her way up to standing.
“Fuck yeah. This is awesome.” She panted, tilting her head down to hide her smile from the cameras.
“The crowd loves you.” Dean brought his hands up to her shoulders, looking to the cameras that he was checking her over.
“They ain’t seen nothing yet.” She stretched, rolling her shoulders and shaking out her arms.
“Wanna make things a little more interesting?” He asked, taking a hold of the tag rope in one hand and tapping on his collar bone with the other.
               “How so?”
               “A friendly bet.”
“What did you have in mind?” She let the grin show on her face, knowing at this point it would look like she was ready to get back into the ring and raise some hell.
“If we win, you let me take you to dinner.” He glanced towards her nervously before looking back at the match.
Keah was stunned. She was sure it showed on her face, but at that moment she forgot about the cameras and the crowd.
              “W-what?” She stuttered.
“You heard me.” Dean shrugged, bouncing up and down on the ring apron.
“You know we’re scheduled to win, right?” She asked.
“I know.” He grinned at her before Roman tagged him in. He jumped into the ring, swinging wildly as he was known to do. Keah watched him, smile growing as she felt her face warm. If anyone asked her about it, she’d blame the flush on the bright lights.
#########
“Roman! What the fuck happened out there!?” Keah ran down the hall into his arms. She was shaking, clinging to his shirt.
“I don’t know Keah. We rehearsed that spot a million and a half times. I swear it should have been fine.” He explained.
“Has the doctor said anything? Has he come out?” She asked, staring at the closed door of tonight’s medical room.
“Nothing, but you know Dean’s got a thick skull. He’ll be fine.” He joked, trying to lighten the mood but Keah didn’t laugh. She’d been a nervous wreck from the moment she watched the botched ladder spot through the backstage monitor. The way Dean had crumpled to the ground, she knew something was wrong.
“I’m sorry, Keah.” Roman whispered, rubbing her back. “I… I should’ve done more or-“
“Don’t you dare, Roman Reigns.” She turned on him. “This was not your fault. Dean’s your brother and I know you would have done anything you could to avoid something like this. It’s the business. It’s what happens. It fucking sucks and I wish the damn trainer would let us in-“ Her voice got louder as she spoke, hoping they would hear her from inside and open the door. “but it’s the business.”
“Just come in Keah.” She heard the trainer call from inside, sounding resigned. She didn’t need to be told twice, pushing the door open and running right to her boyfriend’s side.
“Hey darlin’.” Dean tried to smile at her but she could hear the pain in his voice.
“Don’t “hey darlin’” me!” She huffed, tears pooling in her eyes. “What were you thinking?! You scared me half to death!”
“I know. ‘M sorry.” He mumbled. “We tried that spot-“
“A million and a half times. I know, Roman told me.” She sniffled. Dean reached over and took her hand in his.
“Hey, none of that. I’m okay, right Doc?”
“Well, you’ve got a concussion, and I want you to get your ribs x-rayed, but you’re not in any immediate danger.” The trainer told him as he removed his latex gloves. “You’re lucky though.”
“I know I am.” Dean smiled, looking up at Keah.
“Fuckin’ idiot.” She cried, not heat to the insult as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, being careful not to jostle him too much. “I’m in love with a goddamn reckless idiot.”
               “Love you too, darlin’.”
##########
“Roman! Thank god you’re here.” Keah gushed. “Please tell me everything is under control. I’m freaking out!”
“I see that.” He chuckled, moving into the room.
“Please tell me Dean remembered his cufflinks. He kept joking about losing them because he hates wearing them so much but I swear to god if he lost them on purpose-“
“Keah, take a breath.” Roman interrupted. “He’s got his cufflinks on. You know he wouldn’t go that to you.”
Keah took a deep breath, closing her eyes. “You’re right. You’re right.”
“I’ve been keeping an eye on it all. You need to relax and enjoy the day. No one is gonna mess it up.”
“Because you’ve already threatened everyone for me?” She asked, giving him big doe eyes.
“Yeah, threatened to send you their way, bridezilla.” He laughed. She scoffed and slapped his chest.
“I’m not that bad.” She rolled her eyes.
“If you say so.” He replied with a tight smile.
               “Ass.” She grumbled.
               “Bitch.” He shot back.
“It’s my wedding day, you can’t call me bitch, bitch.”
“Language!” Their mother called from the next room.
“Sorry Ma.” They called back with matching grins.
“Seriously though,” Keah breathed. “Thank you for your help today. I couldn’t do it without you, Ro.”
“Just do me a favor?” Roman asked. “Next time you get married, hire a wedding planner. I can’t handle going through this again.” Keah laughed loudly, swatting Roman on the chest again.
“Get Dean to the altar and don’t lose the rings and there won’t be a next time.”
+
“Dean!” Keah screamed, clutching at the man in question’s hand. He would swear he could hear the bones grinding together and popping under the force. “I swear to god if you ever touch me again I’ll castrate you!” She panted through the pain.
“I know, darlin’. I know.” He grunted through the pain in his hand. He knew he had no right to complain. “Just a few more pushes and you’ll be done. It’s almost over. We’ve almost got our little girl.”
               “I can’t.” She cried. “I can’t do it anymore.”
“Yes you can. You’re so strong. You can do this.” He cooed, smoothing down her sweaty hair.
Keah screamed as she pushed through the next contraction.
“Big push darlin’ she’s almost here.” He encouraged.
The baby’s cries suddenly floated through the room as Keah slumped back into the hospital bed in relief. Both of their eyes snapped down towards the little girl, naked and wailing in the doctor’s arms. The nurses made quick work of cleaning the baby off and bringing her back to the new parents.
“Congratulations.” The doctor smiled as she placed the squirming baby onto Keah’s chest.
“Oh my god…” Keah breathed. “Dean she’s beautiful.”
“She is… and she’s ours.” He croaked, voice cracking with emotion. He bent down to press his head to his wife’s as the both marvelled at the little girl.
“We did it.” Keah cried as she stroked a finger over the baby’s cheek.
“You did it.” Dean corrected, pressing a kiss to her temple. “I’m so proud of you darlin’.” They were both silent for a moment, words lost to the both of them as they watched their newborn baby girl.
“You want me to get Roman?” Dean whispered. Keah shook her head, pulling him onto the bed beside her.
               “In a minute.”
