Stolen passport
Nov 23 2021 This will be the story of how I lost my passport while joining a Alexander Maersk in Algeciras Spain.  To Spain we go Covid19 was lurking around every corner, but us seafarers still have to travel to get to work. So has usual (with a PCR test on hand) I traveled to my joining port, which this time was Algeciras Spain.  At the airport I met the captain and chief engineer I would be…

Manila 🇵🇭 to Xiamen 🇨🇳 with my final destination at Beijing (after quarantine) As China relaxes Covid19 measures, international travelers are still required to do a mandatory quarantine (5+3) upon arrival. Not all people are allowed to go into China yet, only Chinese nationals and people with valid visas or resident certificates, no tourists. I was asked by a Chinese national, "oh so they allow foreigners?" I think because I was one of the few Filipino passengers 😅 Upon arrival we stayed in the plane for almost 2 hours as the flight attendants explained it was something about immigration procedure (I was able to watch a Bruce Willis movie lol) After that it was pretty quick, scanned qr codes, got a PCR test and took a shuttle bus to a hotel. The total waiting and processing time took longer than the flight. Oh and every staff in the plane, bus and hotel were wearing protective suits. Hello China, I'm back 🙃 https://www.instagram.com/p/CmeEGqwL9oe/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Everything You Need to Know About Getting an Antigen Test
Tumblr media
An antigen test is one of the tests that are done for COVID-19. The purpose of this test available in the Covid-19 test clinic in the UK is to determine whether someone has Covid or not. It helps in diagnosis and screening for COVID-19.
Diagnosis is necessary after a person starts showing symptoms of the disease. Antigen tests can be considered for diagnosis when other tests are not available. But, keep in mind that antigen tests have a higher risk of showing negative results in spite of observing that you might be infected. This is known as a false-negative result.
Screening, on the other hand, is done when there are no signs of the disease. It is done at a relatively low cost and repeated testing on people can help prevent the spread of the disease. But it should be done cautiously as there is a high risk of false-positive results. It is usually highest in places where there is a low rate of virus transmission.
In an antigen test, the lab checks whether there are specific proteins on the outside surface of the virus. If there is then it indicates a case of active infection.
In order to know what is the perfect time for an antigen test, you need to keep track of your health and notice if any symptoms are there. If there is no PCR test available, then you should go for an antigen test. But in a workplace where there are no active symptoms in people, this antigen test can be quite useful. There are several benefits to this test and given below are the times when you should visit the Covid-19 test clinic in the UK:
·  When you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19
·  When you have attended large social gatherings or otherwise been in places at high risk for virus transmission
·  When you either live or work in places where many people live together with such as nursing homes, homeless shelters, or correctional facilities
·  When you need proof of a negative test in order to travel, work, or engage in other activities
·  Frequent and repeat screening with antigen tests may help identify people with COVID-19 who can then be isolated so that they do not infect other people.
Once you know that you might require an antigen test, you should get prescribed by a doctor to get the test done. Whether it is at home or the COVID-19 test in the workplace, you will get your results quickly, sometimes even in 15 minutes.
Whether your test is positive or negative, the lab or your doctor will let you know. You will need to isolate yourself accordingly.
So, make sure that you always be aware of your symptoms and don't ignore if there is even a slight possibility of infection. Visit the Covid-19 test clinic in the UK as soon as possible.

L'auto-test

Ways to protect ourselves and decrease the spread of Covid-19
Tumblr media
Though most of the restrictions for Covid-19 have been lifted, we continue to fight the pandemic. The virus is still being actively infecting humans and spreading in waves. But, with the passage of time, people need to get back to their normal lives along with protecting themselves from the infectious Covid-19 virus. Concepto Clinic, the most reliable Covid-19 test clinic in the UK, suggests some tips following which people can reduce the spread of the virus and can resume work.
How to stay safe and reduce the rate of Covid infection in the UK?
Besides, maintaining social distancing and wearing masks outside, especially in crowded places, there are a lot of actions to be taken for keeping ourselves safe and keeping the rate of Covid-19 cases as subdued as possible. Such as:
· Suppose you have symptoms for Covid-19, isolate yourself and go for a Covid test as early as possible. It is a legal requirement to stay at home by isolating yourself from others and go for a test promptly if you can sense any symptoms of Covid-19. It is one of the ways to reduce the spread of the virus from one person to another. For such serious cases, choose only a reliable Covid-19 test clinic in the UK where you can get an accurate test result for yourself.
· Complete two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. In the UK, all adults are eligible to take vaccines to combat coronavirus. Remember that, both doses of the vaccine can provide the best possible protection from the virus. Hence, it is very important to complete both doses of the vaccine. If you have not been vaccinated with one dose, take your first dose of vaccine soon, and complete the second dose after the requisite period.
· Be extra careful when visiting health care settings. Healthcare settings are more likely to circulate the virus if someone does not take necessary precautions. Because, at a healthcare center, you are more likely to encounter some severely vulnerable people who might be carriers of Covid infections. In order to avoid hazards, maintain a safe distance from every unknown person you encounter. Make sure, you do not get in touch with any other people unnecessarily. Wearing face masks and using 80% alcohol-based sanitizer is a must in such public places.
· You can even go for LFD tests. LFD or the Lateral Flow Device test is a self-test for Covid-19 especially for those individuals who do not have any symptoms of Covid-19 but at the same time, are carrying the virus in their bodies. Covid-19 survey report of the UK has shown that 1 out of 3 people is an asymptomatic coronavirus carrier. Hence, to be on the safe side, go for LFD tests twice a week.
But LFD tests should be executed properly as they are usually done at home in non-clinical settings. Hence, there are high chances of errors if instructions are not followed rightly. In such cases when you are in doubt about your test result, do not hesitate to contact a professional Covid-19 test clinic in the UK where the tests are done by medical experts only.
You may directly get in touch with Concepto Clinic, the government-sanctioned Covid-19 test clinic in the UK in order to book your appointment for testing.
