people who became reliant on al jazeera for news on the israeli genocide in gaza: pls know that AJ might not cover the american bombing of yemen in the same way due to politics, however, this doesnt mean that civilian areas in yemen arent being bombed at all (eg airports) so pls look at other sources for accurate reporting eg almayadeen english

seeing a video of idf soldiers peeing on a dead body and then kicking it & you want me to think these people are “in danger and fearing for their lives”. like they’re spawns of satan himself with the crimes they’re committing and i hope every time they close their eyes to sleep, they’re haunted by the lives they have taken…i hope each generation of their families don’t know peace until they all wither and croak.
from the river to the sea palestine will be free!!!

"Your Ankh-Morpork soldiers aren't in a position to protect you, however."
"Sir, you are right. You could have me killed right now," said de Worde simply. "You know that. I know that. But you won't, for three reasons. The officers of Borogravia tend towards honor. Everyone says that. That's why they don't surrender. And I bleed most distressingly. And you don't need to, because everyone's interested in you! Suddenly, it's all changed!"
"Interested in us?"
"Sir, in a sense you could help a lot right now. Apparently, people back in Ankh-Morpork were amazed when...look, have you heard about what we call 'human interest,' sir?"
"No."
De Worde tried to explain. Blouse listened with his mouth open, and at the end, said:
"Have I got this right? Although many people have been killed and wounded in this wretched war, it's not been of much 'interest' to your readers? But it is now, just because of us? Because of a little skirmish in a town they've never heard of? And because of it, we're suddenly a 'plucky little country' and people are telling your newspaper that your great city should be on our side?"
"Yes, Lieutenant. We put out a second edition last night, you see."

One thing I keep thinking about is how the pm's front company is literally called “Mori Corporation”. Like yeah sure, let's put the actual name of our evil boss, most likely the most wanted person in the entire Yokohama, as the title of our not-shady-at-all perfectly-subtle black-themed industry. What could ever go wrong

Everyone should watch Rustin – the latest Netflix film. It celebrates the life and legacy of Bayard Rustin, a giant of the civil rights movement and the architect of the 1963 March on Washington.
I am so happy his incredible story is being told finally. Bayard Rustin was incredibly smart, strategic, brave and charismatic. He is a pioneer of civil rights, nonviolence, and gay rights. We owe so much to this incredible man and we don't talk enough about him.
He did so much for us and it should be recognized.
