So… did Ymmit not know anything when he arrived? Like, he was a blank slate and his parents had to teach him everything? How did that work?

im basing this off the episode "fairy for a day" both Hazel and Lezah didn't had much control over their magic, the same thing happen with Timmy and Ymmit.

Timmy became a fairy when he was 16. meaning he continued and finished his education in fairy world. he had a harder time adjusting into his new school, and his marks weren't perfect either. but he graduated with average grades and magic skills.

when Ymmit appeared he had the basic understandings and smarts of a 16 year old, however he lacked experience that would have come with growing up. since he didn't grow up with magic just like Timmy, he didn't know how to control it either. Unlike Timmy, Ymmit enjoyed studying and learning and didn't had any problems with it. He graduated with flying colors, his magical abilities are even with Timmys.

i think the fact that ratio's character stories are all read from an outsider perspective, rather than ratio's perspective, is so intriguing.

he is a man who is a doctor, for the people, of the people. to cure ignorancy and idiocy; to make people see that there are indeed geniuses amongst the mundane, despite not having the label "genius" thrust onto them.

in his character stories, we see how other people view ratio, with their limited interactions with him. most think of him as just another "out-of-touch" genius because of said limited interactions and not further understanding his motives and beliefs as a person.

despite being someone who knows more than the average person, he still is adamant on letting people know that he is indeed just like them - a mundane human.

but despite that, people still view him as a higher being because they don't feel on par with his level of intelligence.

ratio holds disdain for those in the genius society because they flaunt their abilities of being smarter than most, rather than going out of their way to educate and teach others - they indulge themselves in knowledge only, rather than also paying attention to the core of humans and intelligence - learning, wisdom, knowledge, it all comes from somewhere, and most of the time, it is from other humans.

Antifairies and Wishing

Antifairies aren't allowed Godchildren. There's multiple possible reasons as to why that could be. Is it only because they're the opposite of fairies? Or is it because of how Antifairy wishing operates to begin with?

As demonstrated in both Best of Luck and The Battle of Big Wand, Anti fairies aren't limited in the same way as fairies are. They don't have to follow rules when it comes to wish granting. Antifairies can become godparents through loopholes, like the one Irep used in Best of Luck. And by being summoned, as seen in Will The Real Cosmo Please Stand Up?

There aren't many examples of Antifairies actually being able to grant wishes outside of what Irep and Anti Cosmo do. But whats interesting is the way Anti Cosmo enacts the wishes Timmy wants.

The wishes are granted directly, but seem to operate similar to a Monkey's Paw in a way. It grants your wish, but makes the circumstances surrounding the effect consequential even though you get exactly what you want.

Assuming that isn't just an Anti Cosmo thing and that's how most Antifairy wishes work outside of just breaking the rules--then it's no wonder Antifairies aren't allowed Godchildren. Combining a penchant for Bad Luck in general with Monkey Paw Wishing Conditions and lack of rules as a whole doesn't bode well.

Character family stuff!

Obviously there's no way I'm doing this for all the characters cuz there's too many but here's a few that actually have some backstory:

Sonic: Was orphaned at a young age, and was raised by his Uncle Chuck! He was always a free spirit, so as a teen he mostly traveled and lived on his own in his van, but he still is really close with his uncle and visits him a lot.

Tails: His birth family, the Prowers, were extremely neglectful and abusive. He was put in the foster system at a pretty young age and went through a ton of different homes. None of them "stuck", and he doesn't really consider himself as having any family.

Amy: Has parents, but although they give her what she needs and stuff they aren't at all involved in her life, leaving her with attachment issues.

Knuckles and Tikal are cousins. Knuckles had a pretty good relationship with his parents, and was homeschooled by them. Tikal has a very tense relationship with her dad, Pachacamac. They come from a different, more tribal culture, but Knuckles is a second-generation immigrant out of that culture while Tikal was raised in the culture and moved here more recently.

Cosmo: Lost her mom a few years before coming to college, still has her dad Dark Oak and loves him but he's not really a great person

Vector: Never really knew his dad but was raised by his very loving, but very strong personalitied, God-fearing ma. They had some tension during his early teen years but now that he's more mature they're super close. His ma has also decided that everyone on Vector's floor are her grandbabies and makes them food and stuff.

Espio: Comes from a very high achieving, emotionally distant family. His parents have extremely high standards for him that he's never been able to fulfill and they totally aren't abusive about it why are you asking . His relationship with them is pretty tense. He also has two older siblings but they don't really show up

Shadow and Maria are about as close as siblings can be. Shadow was adopted by Maria's family, his bio dad being Black Doom, who doesn't pay child support and who Shadow avoids at all costs. Shadow does have some stresses that came from being the "healthy kid" once Maria started showing more signs of her chronic illness, and while he never begrudged her that, there is some tension with their parents because of Maria's problems taking precedence over him. Shadow and Maria also spent a lot of time with their grandfather, Gerald, and are somewhat closer with him than their actual parents.

Metal, Belle, and Sage: All children of Dr. Robotnik, but Belle has a different mom. There's some tension there, but the three are slowly attempting to work through that. Belle and Sage are also pretty close with their (second?) cousin, Maria (and Shadow somewhat), and Metal and Shadow have a subtle friendship.

Mephiles: Has a twin sister, Iblis, who is also a student at HU. She is the only person Mephiles actually cares about, and he covers up for her when her strong emotions get her in trouble.

Surge and Kit: Foster kids of Dr. Starline and non-biological siblings. Starline is abusive to them and has sent them to Hedgehog University as part of a plan to undermine Dr. Robotnik.

Another lore of fairies(+anti fairies) unusual physiology

The fact that fairies and anti fairies both have a special star-shaped organ that helps them change shape and that it can simply fail. It feels like this theme was taken from some kind of horror dark fantasy and not from a fantasy comedy 💀

This organ is called “Fagiggily Gland”. And that is, this episode is really about the transplantation of Cosmo’s organ??

Also in the description it is said that the transplantation should be done either between close relatives or with their own anti-versions.

And you know what??? It turns out that in this series Cosmo’s organ failed, and in Anti-Cosmo’s case it became good(since they are opposites of course). Doesn't this mean that anti-fairies are officially undead in some sense?? Because this means that everything in their body is completely atrophied and dead…

Cosmo also officially has a star-shaped surgical scar. But I won't show it on the main post because it looks pretty realistic.
