personality description :: aquilia, despite the appearance, is a rather timid being who keeps mostly to itself. it rarely, if ever, speaks aloud. deirdre’s voice has been known to be sharp and grating on human ears, driving some to the point of insanity. interacting with other deities always falls short: they insult xir, belittle xir, or are flat out afraid of xir, none of which adelina likes. it chooses not to interact openly with humans unless it is in human form, as the consequences of exposing its deity form often end in the dissolution of mortal souls. observing this little planet and the beings who reside here serve as calypso’s source of happiness. for someone with eternal life, the present is but a blip. this, she believes, is the most pleasant blip zakira has experienced. perhaps she can enjoy it for the time being… holding these humans in xir memory will keep hemera company for the rest of eternity.

How was a kite bird called in Sumerian? I read it that in older times kite was maybe called “Buru “ but this term changed meaning to “crow”. Thank you

Hi! I can't find any source for a word for the bird of prey "kite" in Sumerian. Birds of prey are, unfortunately, one of a big set of categories in Sumerian where we know a number of nouns, but not which one corresponds to which species or type. Some possibilities include ninninnata 𒎏𒇧𒇧𒄷 "a bird of prey, maybe harrier?" and teus 𒀉𒍑𒄷 "a bird of prey (that makes a large nest?)".

Buru, as you mentioned, also meant "some sort of bird of prey or vulture" in early Sumerian, but by the Ur III period had shifted to mean "crow" or possibly corvine birds generally (also including ravens and rooks). Buru is written 𒉢𒁓𒄷 in cuneiform.
