ALSO! Everyone else pulled the sword out of someone they (kinda) cared for (from what i've seen, i haven't watched all the episodes yet) and Wakaba pulls it out of Saionji who she pretty much hated at the moment.

You know I’ve recently been thinking about how wakaba’s black rose sword-pulling thing was notably more violent than the other ones.

Like, with the other black rose duelists, the swords just do their freaky magic sword thing all on their own. But wakaba just goes up and rips that thing out of saionji. The background and lighting turns a bright red, and Saionji screams out in pain as well, while I believe the other duelists are mostly silent (I’d have to rewatch to make sure abt that tho). Idk it’s just so…. shocking(?) I guess to see it from a character like wakaba. That’s probably what makes it so striking to me

There are so many little differences established between wakaba and the other black rose duelists, I love that episode so muchhhh
