Copper's Downward Spiral: Will China's Economic Troubles Continue?
Copper prices have experienced a significant drop, reaching their lowest levels in more than two weeks. The decline is primarily attributed to weak economic data from China, particularly in the manufacturing and property sectors. This has raised concerns about reduced demand for the red metal.
MCX Copper prices have fallen by 0.2% to ₹783.80 per kg, hitting a low of ₹780.90 during the session. Similarly, three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange (LME) has dropped by 2%, reaching its weakest point since August 15. US Comex copper futures have also declined by 2.9%.
The weakening Chinese economy, coupled with the strengthening US dollar and increased copper inventories, has created a downward pressure on copper prices. The red metal is currently trading below its 200-day moving average, indicating further downside risk.
Goldman Sachs has recently cut its 2025 copper price forecast, citing concerns about China's economic challenges. However, analysts remain optimistic about the potential for a rebound in copper prices.
Stimulus measures from China and interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve could provide some support to the copper market. Additionally, the seasonal factors of September, October, and November are generally favorable for copper prices.
Despite the current downturn, copper prices are expected to find support at certain levels. Analysts predict that LME copper prices may find support at $8,700, while resistance is placed at $9,300. For MCX copper, support levels are estimated near ₹768-770, with potential upside to ₹828-830 if prices break above ₹812.

#new scotland yard#point of interest#lwt#1972#classic tv#tony wharmby#don houghton#john woodvine#john carlisle#bryan marshall#barry warren#claire warren#shirley cain#brian rawlinson#norman jones#basil henson#mel martin#nicholas young#recently trawling a certain You based Tube‚ i stumbled across a user who has uploaded great swathes of old telly‚ to my delight. a lot of#it I've already seen or even own‚ but finding NSY was huge: I've wanted to watch this for a while but the discs are frustratingly hard to#come by at a reasonable price since Network (rip in our hearts forever) went under. so i guess this is my viewing for the near future‚#before a copyright strike inevitably gets them pulled (and i don't think it's every episode that's available either). the series starts#promisingly‚ eschewing a safe and steady introduction for an altogether more challenging issue based ep; a man has died during a scuffle#between socialist protesters and rightwing counter protesters‚ apparently killed by a police officer. our leads must investigate whilst#balancing the difficult tightrope of public opinion‚ avoiding either a whitewash or an unjust persecution. it's heavy‚ polemical stuff but#the script works hard to maintain balance and present nuance‚ with idealists and extremists on either side (and Woodvine's senior copper#stubbornly sticking his feet in the center). it's still copaganda of course‚ but intelligently done nonetheless#we don't learn a great deal about our two leads at this point‚ but their relationship certainly seems spiky (Carlisle is given to making#leaps of deduction and announcing moral absolutes where Woodvine is almost frustratingly impartial to the extreme). plus nice to see#familiar faces like Marshall‚ Jones and Warren among the supporting cast. a very promising opener

My name is Kristian, the now-Travelling Merchant, known to be from the video game Terraria. However, I will say that there isn't a 100% chance that I originate from those accursed yet beautiful lands.
In this account of mine, I shall price various items through my great intelligence of the economy. However, I don't use Earthen currency, unfortunately. I lack the insight into that. I use coins, commonly seen across fantastical worlds. There are four types I use:
Copper Coins, Silver Coins, Gold Coins, and Platinum Coins
One hundred Copper is equal to one Silver. One hundred Silver is equal to one Gold. One hundred Gold is equal to one Platinum.
Be warned, though, these aren't actually made of their respective materials! You cannot claim that items made from these are worth more than I price them. As well as this, some items cannot be valued in traditional coins, and warrant unique currency pricing. Trust me, however. I will label what tier an item is in the tags.
And onto that!
I have a few unique tags that I will use to connect my pricing back to me, and help others view the economy.

Copper prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) started off lower at $8,566.5 per tonne but gradually climbed to reach a session high of $8,710 per tonne. By the end of the day, the prices consolidated sideways at $8,707 per tonne, showing a 2.27% increase.
