Stupid thought that’s been rotating in my head all day-

Copia coming back late to find his beloved asleep on the couch. Picking them up gently and carrying them towards the bedroom, being so careful, even holding his breath just to avoid disturbing their sleep.

Only to whack their head off the door frame on the way into the bedroom.

Thinking about Copia who talks excessively in his sleep. He tries to tell you whole stories at night, his voice mumbly and rougher than usual. He’s swallowing syllables, most of the time it is unintelligible and more often than not he speaks in Italian, so you don’t always understand what he’s saying. When you ask him about it the next morning he doesn’t remember a single thing. But other times he’ll say your name, followed by all the sticky-sweet Italian words he so often whispers in your ear when he’s awake. You stroke along his cheek, careful not to wake him, and he smiles in his sleep in the happy, carefree way that has your very heart aching with love for him.

Diabetic Copia.

Copia was diagnosed as a young person, so he's always kinda... Dealt with it.

However, that doesn't mean he doesn't have the occasional slip up.

His ghouls can smell when his blood sugar is too high, and when it's too low. They'll go annoy him until it's fixed because it smells really bad to them.

Copia has caught Dew huffing his insulin before. Apparently it smells nice.

The ghouls all scramble over each other to replace Copia's Dexcom. They say it's fun to stab it into his arm.

Copia has a mini fridge on the bus just filled with his insulin and juiceboxes. Nobody is allowed to take the juiceboxes from the fridge, in case he goes low.

Just... Copia laid on a sofa backstage, still in costume, one ghoul holding his feet up to get the blood back in his head, grumpily sucking on an apple juice because he burned too much energy while dancing around on stage and ended up collapsing.

I do wonder, though, if another reason (I headcanon) Copia doesn’t think he’s attractive is because he doesn’t meet the male beauty standards that were popular when he was growing up. In the 70s, slim men was where it was at. All the better to jam their flat asses into those tight little pants. And by the 80s, they went the other way with it by advertising real muscle men that were more top-heavy.

At the very least, this was how it was in America but I headcanon Copia grew up watching mostly American media and that would’ve morphed his perception of what a good-looking man ought to be.

Obviously, he wasn’t always physically like this but he’s likely always had a bit more of a “geek physique”. Add in his sharp nose, hair that was thick but couldn’t necessarily grow in the more fashionable ways, and some freckles, and he probably felt the only interesting thing about him was his left eye.

It puzzles him to learn that nowadays, a man with junk in his trunk and a soft tummy is hugely desirable in many spaces. He’s just so used to the pendulum never swinging in his favor. It also took him way longer to realize also that awkward “rodent men” were becoming more of a thing in recent years.

He still can’t quite wrap his head around it and accept it. Still assumes most of the “attraction” directed at him is superficial. Y’know, rather than the fact he’s actually quite adorable, awkward, oozes sex appeal by his confidence and actions, and also has one of the perkiest booties around.

he's an orphan and doesn't know he'll cause the death of the three older men who actually talk with him during interchurch meetings and are actually his brothers. he's awkward and only an altarboy so no one really pays attention to him other than to gossip about how he must be a bastard because he has a demon eye.

but he's never smiled as hard at himself in the mirror as he has right now. he looks like a cool rockstar. he picks up the guitar he bought using his satanic altarboy salary and managed to play the opening riff without messing up.

maybe he can play a cover of fuel when he's Papa one day.

Sooo uhhh Copia headcannons because I was terribly sick on Ghost Day(TW: depression,eds(its recovery based but still) and a little bit of angst) also spoilers for Rite Here Rite Now.

-Copia has struggled with his appearance since he was a teenager but he’s been recovering with the help of his ghouls he does still of course have his days but he knows he can go talk to someone about it.

-Copia has depression(pretty sure that’s canon) but it gets the worst after Sisters passing and funeral. He doesn’t eat or sleep for days on end after thinking about the fact he’s lost a mother he never got to fully know and the only thing that pulls him out of it is the fact that Aether comes to talk to him and remind him that she’d be so proud of how far he’s come and that his doing great as Frater Imperator. Which whether Aether knows it or not is exactly what he needed to hear.

-Okay more lighthearted one…Copia absolutely adores any kind of music even pop music it’s not unusual to find him blasting ABBA or Bowie as he works on his paperwork. He also sings in the shower loud as he can with the music blasting from a Bluetooth speaker.

-Copias love language is absolutely acts of service both giving and receiving. He loves to do things for the people he loves! Examples: He’ll bring food to the infirmary or greenhouse to make sure Phantom or Mountain are actually eating since they tend to forget(and of course they invite him to share),He keeps an eye on Dewdrop to make sure he can tell when the fire ghoul is getting a little to heated or is feeling down and try to help him anyway he can. (Dew does the same thing for him in return),He reminds Rain to take his anxiety meds before they go out so that he won’t panic so easy.(Rain in return reminds Copia of his own meds) etc..

Hello tumblr, today we are thinking about Copia with stretch marks on his thighs, on his belly and love handles, an expanse of soft pale skin decorated with freckles, faded scars and dark hair. When you purposely touch them for the first time he winces, insecure and a little lost. He tries to hide them but the more you encourage him, the more you shower him with affectionate touches and gentle words of praise, the more confident he becomes. A little hesitantly, he allows you to kiss every dark line, every freckle, and when he looks at himself the next day he can't help but smile when he sees that the marks on his body that he always considered to be flaws are now mingling with the marks of your deep love for him.
