Good new: when trying to find out the name of this cookie. I came across the original art book and where you can purchase it via the braverse Twitter. I also found a youtube shorts commercial where we can see even more exclusive cookies, and they're given names, although not clearly

Pictures of the Braveverse cards I got to justify my purchase hee hee hoo:

For reference, I bought these off ebay if anyone is looking to buy some. Unsure if these will be release internationally from Devsis themselves, so this is the only way I could get them (but its chill- the package actually arrived a whole two week early omg) While the cards haven't been released in English, but I was able to find the rules in English on the official website

The starter sets (Red, Yellow, Green) come with 60 cards each while the boxes on the right come with 30 packs of 5 each. In total, including the bonus one the seller gave me, I got 485 cards >:D

I really bought these to see if I could find some of the Braveverse exclusive cookies, and I was able to find at least two. Wish I got more, but I was also happy to see that a good chunk of the cookies were from Ovenbreak and older

HAPPY ODAIBA DAY FRIENDS! In my house Odaiba day is celebrated like a holiday. My girls look forward to it every year. We bake and decorate cookies and they get some sort of digi themed presents XD this year was booster packs for tcg. We've been blasting old Britney tunes and having fun all day. Sharing my fave childhood things with my kids and watching their imaginations run wild has been one of the most healing things in my life. Also I have absolutely loved everyone's posts and updates today! I can't wait to read and look at them all.

Grace stood patiently as Tommy ushered Charlie with the plate of cookies and whiskey to the fireplace. Charlie was walking quite well now and getting into everything as healthy lads do, albeit clumsy. 

His father bent over him like a great beast holding onto the plate as Charlie carried out his first Christmas duties. She felt bad that Tommy had to walk hunched over like that for a distance but it made for such a sweet memory. 

They had already decorated the tree for Christmas, decked the hall and decorated Christmas cookies.  She still had so much to do. 

She’d been fussing over details all day to make sure Charlie’s first Christmas would be perfect. 

“Okay Charlie, off to bed, come ere you.” Tommy scooped his son up in his arms and grinned down at the sleepy boy who was snuggling into his dad’s chest yawning. He was precious.

Tommy had told Grace several times he didn’t need any monetary gifts for Christmas, She and Charlie were a cherished gift to him. 

“Grace, I’ll see you in a few hours yeah.” He winked at her and flashed her a cheeky smile. He knew she wanted to drip the tree in silver tinsel and add the gifts. 

A mother never truly rested, she was a nurse, mother, wife, and Santa Clause. She loved every role. 

“You could come help me carry things. I’ll reward you for your work.” She smiled seductively at him as she peaked up from her champagne blonde hair. He winked at her knowing he’d enjoy her version of compensation for his services of caring down christmas presents. 

He turned and carried their now slumbering bundle of baby boy joy to his cradle.

True to her word she had rewarded him. They went to bed at midnight, full of whiskey and cookies, stocking had been hung in all rooms where family members slumbered. They hadn’t gotten to sleep until sometimes after 3 am.

A loud bang startled Thomas up and he shot out of bed startling Grace, especially when he reached for his gun. He carefully opened their bedroom door in time to hear Ada call out.

“It’s alright everyone, it's just a door hitting the wall. The kids are bloody awake.” Chatter filled the halls over their exhausted Aunt’s voice as John's kids formed a group of wild feral  children with Karl to run around the halls and share what Santa had left in their socks. 

Tommy turned to look at his wife who was already at her vanity getting dressed while she yawned. Charlie's first Christmas was about to kick off.

“Grace, as always you’ve out done yourself.” Polly smiled at her, giving her a rare compliment as she handed out gifts from the family and Santa Claus to the kids. The tree was glistening in silver tinsel draped lovingly over every branch. The red and gold baubles were jingling from the gifts bumping them as they were slid or handed to their respective owners. Everyone greedily received them through yawns or excited grabby hands.

“Karl, settle down! There are plenty and no one opens them until everyone has all their little piles.” Ada scolded her boy as she nursed her tea trying to wake up. 

“Ada, being a stick in the mud again.” John grinned at her goading his baby sister into their yearly Christmas squabble. He was starting early this year. 

“Not all of us received our gifts early last night, from the sounds coming from your and Esme’s room I’m guessing she received yours last night?” Ada earned chuckles from the other adults who knew well that John thought his cock was a gift enough. Esme’s face went crimson instantly as she tried to bury it in her husband's neck. He roared with laughter and slapped his knee knowing she’d heard them. 

“No Ada, she’ll get her gift in 9 months or so.” Arthur caused the adults to roar with laughter. The kids waited impatiently for the laughter to die down while Polly tried to straighten herself up and read the gift tags through her tears. 

This was the first lively Christmas they’d had in years, since before France, before the business expansions and marriages littered with ever expanding children. 

This was a true Christmas for them all. 

Grace caught Polly looking at Tommy with a raised eyebrow. She patted her stomach and pointed at Grace. She knew something. 

She glanced at her husband who was grinning. And looked hopeful….and peaceful. 

“I think Grace got her gift last night too.” John's comment caused the kids to groan. Tommy chuckled next to her and wrapped his arm around her. 

She shook her head at John. She and the children needed them to get back on track. 

“Charlie, go to Aunt Polly and get your gift luv.” She sat him down on the floor and watched as he tumbles to her. Polly scooped him up on her lap and started giving him little packages to deliver to his aunts and uncles. 

The adults reminisced on when their first kids started walking and the little terrors they had been on knick knacks and breakables.

Soon enough the gifts are opened, the living room trashed with grace and Tommy grabbing brightly colored paper and tossing it into the fire. So far the morning has been a success. 

Now if she could pull off dinner and keep them men from getting too drunk on alcohol she’d have pulled it off. 

“I have one more present for Charlie. I wanted his first Christmas to be special. Get your boots on Grace, Pol, fetch Charlie his coat eh. Come on.”  Tommy's declaration had startled Grace. She hadn’t known he’d been planning anything on his own. 

“I can pull off surprises too Grace.” He kissed her head and helped her with his coat. “Don't worry, it won't ruin your plans.”

They walked into the stables and there stood a white Mare with a large red bow expertly tied into her braided mane. 

“He can't even ride yet.” Grace exclaimed as he sat his son on the horse. The men cheered and checked out the gracious gift as Charlie patted his prize. 

“He can walk, time to get a horse for a gypsy boy.” Johnny Doggs declared as he smacked Tommy on the arm, proud of his cousin. 

“Grace.” Ada nodded her head toward an empty and open stall just out of view from the family.  

  “Do you understand the significance of Tommys gift?” She asked her blonde sister in law gently. Grace shook her head no.

“Other than it being a horse and your people are one with a horse, no I don’t.” She confessed feeling guilty that Tommy hadn’t shared the story with her yet. Ada seemed willing to educate her though. 

“Tommy’s last gift from our mum was a white horse on his birthday.” Ada softly cried and wiped her damp eyes with a handkerchief Grace had quickly produced for her. Grace wiped her own tears with the back of her gloved finger.

Both women emerged with Tommy giving them a puzzled look.

“You did well Thomas.” Grace said she snuggled into his side. 

“No Grace, we're a team. We did well, yeah.” He cupped her head with his leather clad hand and kissed her while he pulled her into his warm body. 

  While Charlie wouldn't remember the best first Christmas ever, his parents would never forget.

What's the Deal With Celtic Guardian Anyways?

If you're at all plugged into the mad visions of the Yugitubing sphere, you've probably heard a little bit about something called Celtic Guardian format. You might have even noticed, if you were curious, that the current price of Celtic Guard of Noble Arms on TCG player is currently about $0.25. A playset of them will get you about roughly 5% of a Big Mac in the pre-fascist plutocratic government that is today's America.

But what is, Celtic Guardian format? Well friends, I have been illuminated as to the inner works by strange fish which live in the local river, and I have a new, fun, exciting format for you to play with your friends.

For the unenlightened, this might just look like a pile of bulk Commons you'd fish out of the bin along with test sheets of future Magic the Gathering product. But that's because Celtic Guardian format works under mysterious, arcane rules. Let's go over some of the differences between Celtic Guardian format and normal, run of the mill Yugioh.

In Celtic Guardian format, both players share the same deck of 60 cards, and the same Graveyard. It would be 80 but I can't get YGOPRO to fit 80 cards into the Main Deck.

Cards on the field that are being activated can be removed from the field and will resolve without effect if they leave the field.

All Normal spells are considered Quick-Play spells and can be activated from the hand during either player's turn.

There are three ways to win a game of Celtic Guardian: reducing your opponent's LP to zero, milling the deck out, and a secret win condition.

With all that out of the way, let's discuss the central monster of the deck: Celtic Guardian.

Listen even by the standards of the set it came out in, Celtic Guardian was not taking any names. Imagine printing a card at Super Rare and it immediately getting outclassed by Skull Red Bird and Uraby. Uraby! A Dinosaur! But Celtic Guardian forms the backbone of this deck by being a Warrior monster with fairly decent stats. It only needs to get in six attacks in order to finish your opponent off, giving you plenty of time to eek out a win. But this isn't the only Celtic Guardian available.

Okay, okay, Listen, I promise you this is a Celtic Guardian monster. It's just a TCG translation issue. You know those early TCG translations and their Fusioh Richie. Anyways, this card might seem largely useless in the format, since everything has 1400 ATK. But rest assured this card's inclusion is vital and strategic.

This is the powerhouse around which Celtic Guardian format centers. He provides field presence and card draw all in one package, but most importantly, he's also stonewalled by Obnoxious Celtic Guardian. This makes preserving your Obnoxious Celtic Guardians important to prevent your opponent from drawing cards, protecting them from the scourge of other copies of Celtic Guardian.

But you're a smart cookie, and you've probably also spotted a fourth monster sitting in the list.

The snake. The Great Deceiver. The One Who Will Bring About the End. The mystical fish in the local river that I drank from that is definitely not downstream from waste runoffs from paper mills had no kind words to say about this creature.

In a game of Celtic Guardian, the ultimate goal is to never be caught with this card in your hand or on your field. If its in the Deck or in the Graveyard, nothing happens. It dark powers slumber. But this is why Mind Crush is in the deck.

The third wincon of Celtic Guardian format is revealing that your opponent has a copy of Feral Imp in their hand using Mind Crush, or by attacking into a face-down copy with your Celtic Guardian. It is at this point that the truth of the format reveals itself.

Celtic Guardian is a multi-player format.

The player who is revealed to be courting with the Imp will have to explain its inclusion in the deck to a group of friends to which it will be put to a vote. If the argument made is convincing, or really funny enough, the player will be allowed to continue playing. But if not, that player will automatically lose the game.

The wrinkle in this is that if you are revealed to be courting the Imp again, you will have to make a different argument for its inclusion. No argument can be made more than once, even if your opponent was the one to originally argue it. Finally, if you are revealed to have the Imp three distinct times, you lose the game.

Spells (This Post is long enough with just the images above Jesus Christ I'm so sorry)

While most of the cards here look fairly normal, or perhaps just weird, because they can all be played like Quick-Plays, there are some interesting and powerful interactions on display. You can use Peeking Goblin to set up two powerful cards for yourself, and then use Ledger of Ledgedemain to banish the cards for later. Back to Square One with any of the draw cards in the deck can basically function as a theft effect for any of your opponent's monsters. Goblin Circus can be used to force your opponent to take bad cards, or perhaps even more terrifyingly, to force your opponent to court the Imp. Warrior Elimination is a powerful Instant speed sweeper.

Traps

Most of the cards here are draw options, filtering, and mill. While the mill might look out of place, since there is a number of ways of manipulate the top deck, you can use a card such as Simultaneous Loss in order to prevent your opponent from accessing a card they wish to draw.

But perhaps the most powerful card in the trap line up is Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, which functions as the only card negation in the deck. Since cards have to remain on the field to resolve, if your opponent tries to Ledger of Ledgermain during your End Phase, you can use PWWB in order to put it back on the top of the deck, draw it, and then use it to take the three cards your opponent was going to take. This makes PWWB an incredibly powerful card to use, able to control the top of the deck and interacts well with the wide variety of draw power in the deck.

Conclusion:

April Fools!

So the idea for this format in its specific incarnation comes from an incredibly bizarre fan-made Magic format called Forgetful Fish, which I genuinely thought was an April's Fool joke until I saw the publication date. It centers around the similarly incredibly mediocre Dandan, a shared library and graveyard, and a strong focus on control and draw power that I tried to replicate here.

Unfortunately Yugioh sucks and doesn't have cards like Brainstorm or Memory Lapse. It should. Fight me.

Honestly though I kind of coped myself into this format brewing it up and you can probably find 20 more interesting cards to play to add to the list. The sky is the limit in this format! But if I was getting together with friends I'd honestly probably jam this for a fun time.

some fun facts to come out of this

- i was a cookie run fan since like. 4/5 months after the release of ovenbreak on global servers. yep. kept playing it until ??? 2020??? whenever the first timekeeper costume came out because they were my favorite and i wanted it (did not got it, in fact, but i did get to max them out fully so it's okay i guess). i never played kingdom but i get the gist of it n some characters through fan content and, even if i don't talk much about them, the cookies r indeed v important to me since i grew up w them <3

- my college course was geology focused. not because woah it's something i love so much but more as in i enjoy rocks and soil and wanted to learn more about them. alas now at my tender age i do have a license to work w it since it was the course i did for high school/college but i don't see myself in the area KFNCKDNKCJC

- Museums though!!! I worked on one last year as a volunteer initially n then was paid <3 i love museums so so so much even if i rarely visit them since my town only has one but they're so fun... I think i have visited all of the ones from my city n the ones that border it at least? + Some from the capital

- i don't think card game counts since my main thing was the pokemon tcg but yeah. symbolic dot there just to mark it's presence

I also didn't really get into crk because the gameplay it utilizes is sooooo boring to me i dont understand why its so popular even though i have friends who love it. i just dont get the appeal because the original platforming infinite running gameplay is just more fun to me.

As for museums, as long as you have fun it counts for that square! I literally will look at museums in the area for new places I go to visit and hang out with my friends at. I did my internship at one and I just got a job at one ehehe its what i went to college for of course i love museums.

Welp. Let's get Introductions out of the way

Hello internet I am… well just call me The Wanderer and I want to welcome you to my blog which has been just standing here inactive, let’s see what else is there to say…

Table top games/Card games I play: Dungeons and Dragons (currently looking for a new system due to the OGL debacle) and magic the gathering predominantly, though I have tried the Pokémon TCG which I liked and Hearthstone (which personally is focused way to hard on the pay to win aspect in my opinion but that is my opinion)

Fandoms/IPs I follow: Kirby, Digimon, Pokémon, Terraria, Spirit Farer, Project Moon, Little Big Planet, LocoRoco, Patapon, Cookie Run, Don’t Starve, SCP, The Magnus Archives, Reverse 1999…among others I’m sure I’ll remember the rest of them at some point

Also I have never used conventional social media like twitter or Facebook

Second as a writer I have many characters and I may start a ask blog for them soon so keep a eye out for that as it will have a story that you all can influence
