I was inspired to do a more dynamic layout from @starflungwaddledee! Their comics have a lot of trapezoidal panels and beautiful detail, with a... far different tone from whatever this is!

All of the animal friends + their companions! This was a small project that I took on earlier this year that I wanted to do for a while, since I've always really liked the animal friends and their concepts, but some of their designs... not so much.

Example, in my opinion Rick's most recent model, which I think was from Star Allies, was super ugly. Just do not like it at all. So, I've always wanted to draw all the animal friends in my own style! I really like how each of them came out!

Though, you may have also noticed that there is an OC (?) in their midst. Because of a lack of a 6th level in Kirby's Dream Land 3, Coo has no companion, so I decided to draw what one may look like. I was thinking of a snowy owl, barn owl, or elf owl, but ultimately I went with the barn owl since I thought that the smoothness of her design complimented Coo's more rugged one.

I also redid the art of my design for Nago, compared with how I originally posted all of my art of the animal friends on Instagram. Something about how I drew him always bothered me, but at the time I was too tired to redraw him. So, I just redid it right now and I'm a lot happier with this one! Nago and Shiro are my favorites since they're cats, so I really wanted to make sure I did them right.

Pitch also looks a little like an alien, which is what I wanted.

And yes, Susie did make the animal buddies full-fledged lawyers in a month. I don't know what this means for Popstar's legal system, Susie's teaching ability, and the animal buddies' intelligence, as well as the book's contents.

well, i wouldn't say it's his favourite memory, but...

he won't be forgetting it anytime soon. kind of a continuation of this and this!

for an avian this is tantamount to your boys finding that super secret book of terribly cringe poetry and song lyrics you've been writing about one specific person. nuclear event for coo "i'll just keep it all bottled up right here and then one day i'll die" the owl.

Wow, that's a lot of character refs (and character art, actually)

Back then, I did a whole ass character bio series called Meet the Cast. You see, I would've done so these days, but my brain is short-circuiting and wants to beg for my death.

So instead, please, have some character refs and art of some folks' designs in this TU. While a bunch of these are much older, they still hold up - at least, until I decided to renew them for whatever reason. Ordered based on their time of appearance as well (and for now, I'm restricting it up to Season 1 - this means all games and events up to Planet Robobot). Want to draw them?
