Vlad went through something similar in his first few years before he built his own portal and got himself a steady supply of ectoplasm.
So when he witnesses the Red Hood murder someone before him, he recognizes the glowing green look in his eyes, the expression of desperate, maddening hunger on his face, having seen it in the mirror quite a few times a long while ago.
'Oh.' he thinks, realization dawning on him 'I can't not adopt this man.'
Au where Jason isn't angry because the Lazarus Pit is really gross ectoplasm thats stuck in his body but because he's a baby halfa with pretty much no ectoplasm in his environment and he's just really really hangry.

In my mind, Monoma knows how to pickpocket, do sleight of hand, roll a coin across his knuckles, all that good stuff :D I also hc him to have voluntary nystagmus. No particular reason, I just 100% think Monoma would use that skill to freak people out
Also I hc him to be friends with Hatsume Mei. Each time he visits he brings a whole packet of papers, diagrams, analytics of quirks and how they relate to their costumes, and Mei def eats it up EVERY TIME. She also has him try quirks she needs for the equipment whenever possible. They’re smart kids :>
What do you like seeing most in monoma fics/fan work and what do you want to see more of? Any relationships (romance or gen) you like? Also I’m very curious about the Monoma family 👀 Clearly they don’t seem to keep in touch. What does Monoma say when he’s asked about them? Is it something he keeps under wraps or are most of his friends aware
!!!!!!! Big Brain Takes! Massive!
sleight of hand (and other assorted part trick) Monoma is near and dear to my heart, and i could definitely see him being able to do Some Sorta Nonsense with his body like voluntarily vibrate his eyes. i could see him being double jointed, too. (he is a Bendy Boy.)
ALSO the fact that Monoma and Hatsume never interacted in any meaningful way will haunt me until i die. they are so smart, and they are such freaks (/pos). their aura would have been so powerful. maybe too powerful? i guess Hori had to nerf them somehow.
as far as fanworks go, i am a massive fan of any fic that has Monoma showcasing his quirk. (for example, Learning Curve has a fantastic scene with a training exercise/mock battle that i frequently go back to because it is So Peak to me.)
as far as things i'd like to see more of, i'd kill for more introspective pieces of Monoma learning how to adjust after the war. (let me see him talk to Bakugo, who he watched die! let me see him talk to Aizawa, who tried to protect him!!!) i'm hoping some more of that will come with time as the anime draws closer to the end, but i suppose we shall see.
romance-wise, i'm big on Monoshin and have been since season 2. the fact that it used to be a rarepair floors me. (really played the long game on that one). that being said, i could honestly read about Monoma with almost any other student, his personality is just that much fun to me. apart from Monoshin, i've been seeing quite a bit of Timebomb and Monoma/Pony on my timeline, and i find both so incredibly charming.
platonically: Kendo. Shinsou. Tokage. Mei. Honenuki. Bakugo (especially after the war). ERI. Vlad and/or Aizawa. slap Monoma in an interaction with any of them and i am Locked In.
FINALLY, the Monoma family. (man, the Monoma family.) @smallvictorianchildwhofoundwifi and i have constructed pages upon pages of lore for these human disasters, but i'll try to keep it brief:
Monoma's dad (still need a name) - only ever agreed to have a child in the first place because his side of the family was pressing for it. resents Neito for reasons that i'll probably dig into later - but as long as Neito isn't actively making a mockery of the family name, his dad really can't be bothered to think about him.
Monoma's mom (Hiromi) [PRE WAR] - had Neito when she was young (around 21 years old) because, again, her husband's side of the family was insistent. she adored him at first sight; however, she has had to make a lot of changes to appease her husband's side of the family over the years, and it has turned her into a harsher, colder person overall. every once and a while, she'll be struck with fondness for her son, but it never lasts for long before she goes back to being made of ice. maybe also unconsciously resents Neito some for marking the end of her old life.
Hiromi (cont) [Post-War] - determined to reconnect with her son after almost losing him in the final battle. has made so many mistakes that it seems impossible, but Neito got his tenacity from someone, and it certainly wasn't his father.
Monoma's class knows next to nothing about his family. even Kendo, who has known Monoma for a long while, has precious little information to go off of.
some of the girls in Monoma's class stumble across a picture of Monoma's mother from one of her last modeling shoots, but when they ask him about her, Monoma just tells them that he has his mother to thank for his dashing good looks and leaves it at that. Ittaka - Monoma's old caretaker (and pseudo-older sister) - comes to visit him once, and his classmates briefly think that his real mother must have died until Kendo corrects them (because she may not know much about the Monomas, but she knows that they are all still kicking). but that's about all they've got.
tldr; trying to wrangle a straight answer out of Monoma regarding his family is impossible.
#going to leave it at that but i could talk about the monoma family for one billion asks#thank u for allowing me to ramble :')#hcs#monoma neito#tagging for my own blog sorry to anyone scrolling the character tag

Danny was unsure upon waking, as he stared up at the clocktower's ceiling, if it had been all a dream. Was it true?
Truly?
The ancient sat up slowly and rubbed at his face before he glanced at the door...
Yes, this Vlad wasn't his Vlad... But he was still Vlad. And that brought a certain warmth to his chest that he hadn't felt in a long time. A certain fondness.
He never thought he'd miss the bastard, but once he was gone for good, he couldn't help it. He got up and stretched himself out before he stepped into the bathroom to clean himself up. When was the last time he was able to relax in a bath? He wasn't sure.
He also wasn't sure how long he relaxed in the bath, but he soon made his way out of the guest room, looking around.
"Vlad?"

Vlad wrinkles his nose as it starts itching with what feels like his ghost sense being partially triggered. Which is odd, because he's pretty sure Daniel is still at home.
To make sure, he pulls up the camera feeds of his spy bugs, or rather his one spy bug that hasn't been found and broken yet, and, yep, there's his favorite half-ghost boy, struggling with his probably math homework.
Perhaps it's Danielle, then. But why would she want to pay him a visit? After everything he'd done to her, she should want nothing to do with him.
With a short hum, Vlad closes down his surveillance window, stands from his desk and begins to make his way through his modest little(by his standards at least) home on the outskirts of Amity, following his nose as best he can towards the source of it's irritation.
Maddie the cat looks up from her sniffing at the bottom of a door and meows at him.
“Something interesting in there, Maddie?” Vlad asks, earning another meow in response. Vlad gives another short hum and opens the door, allowing both himself and his cat into the room at the back of the house.
His favorite feline stalks swiftly through the area, tail twitching & flicking anxiously. Vlad follows closely and silently behind her, seeing as she's heading in the direction his nose is leading him.
She jumps up onto the windowsill and peers outside, letting out a growl at whatever she's seeing in the backyard.
Vlad leans over her and looks where she's looking and finds a shabbily dressed, teen-sized figure rifling through his trash.
He frowns at the sight, wondering who the deviled eggs that could be and if he was mistaken about it being his ghost sense that's been bugging him.
He trots over to the back door, opens it silently and steps out and over to the young vagrant.
“Excuse me.” he snips, causing the teen to jolt in surprise and snap their head over to the man, one blue eye peering out through the shadows of their hoodie “This is private property that you are trespassing on.” Vlad informs tersely.
The teen jerks away from the trashcan and promptly bolts, running off in the opposite direction of the strange old man that's just snuck up on them. They don't get very far before they trip over their own feet and fall gracelessly to the ground with a curse.
Vlad blinks at the scene, internally swearing he'd seen the kid's foot partially sink into the ground when they'd tumbled. Narrowing his eyes, he steps over to the teen as they push themself back up to their feet and start trying to run again.
He shoots his hand out and grabs their shoulder “And just where do you think you're going?” he asks, earning only an angry grunt in response as the kid twists around in an attempt to wrench their arm free, which happens surprisingly easily, almost too easily.
The teen even seems surprised by how easily they've freed themself, judging by how they stumble backwards, their hood falling back to reveal a head of messy black hair with a stark white forelock dangling over their face..
Which is riddled with bright green pustules.
Vlad's eyes widen at the sight “That's..” he breathes.
The teen starts to run away again.
“Wait!” Vlad exclaims, shooting his hand out again and snagging their hood, causing them to let out a choked yelp as they're suddenly yanked back.
“Let me go!” the teenage boy, judging by the voice, demands as he struggles against the elder man's grip.
“Oh, no.” Vlad responds, fighting against the boy's thrashing as best he can with his random bouts of intangibility “You're not going anywhere!”
The boy growls angrily and his eyes flicker between blue and green for a second. He squeezes them shut, seeming to struggle against something internally as sparks of light flitter around his waist, trying to form a ring.
After a moment of both physical and psychological fighting, the boy's growling turns into a shout and the light ring forms fully and brightly.
Vlad blinks against the flash and finds himself essentially scruffing the neck of a now clear faced and mostly white haired boy in an oddly familiar looking blue and pink costume.
He can't help but chuckle to himself as he leans away from a swipe of the teen's new claws and sets a hand on his hip.
“Daniel is never going to believe this!” he comments.

The Ship (Cont. But again)
"Lonque," Alacar started." we're gonna need that distraction now." The only response they received was a ripple of lights turning off and then on way too brightly as a power surge ripped through the ship then a horrifying grinding and crashing sound. Whatever he had done seemed to pull the doctor out in such a rush that he left the door open for Vlad and Alacar to slip inside.
Just like that they were there, standing in front of a troll who stared vacantly at them, an odd green crust lingering on the ends of what was left of their legs and arms. Joy and rage played tug-of-war inside Alacar as he stared at his mate-sprite. They were alive but so very very fucked up. "Al…." Hearing Vlad say his name snapped him out of the mini trance he had been stuck in and they went to work, Alacar moving to the computer to release them from the machine they were being held in while Vlad braced himself to catch their form as they fell. "I got them, let's move." Alacar rushed over to help, placing one of their half arms over his shoulder to help them move faster. "Alright Doll, target's secure, lead us out." Alacar could barely believe that the operation was going so smoothly. Of course the moment he thought that the first problems began. "V, they're doing a radio check-in and with all these men tuckered out around me I'm going to need to ditch this position. Bea's going to have to lead you the rest of the way while I cut and run. I promise I'll only be a little pissed that you're listening to another woman." Vlad swore lightly and Bea's voice took over, leading them down a route that she could see. "Patrol is on the way! Hide!" The only location the three of them had to hide was the room next to them which they quickly slipped inside of until the footsteps faded away.
They were getting ready to walk out when a playfully sinister voice spoke to them and froze them in their tracks. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" The three turned around and saw a troll holding a gun towards them. Waves of pink hair spilled down almost to the floor and would have if it hadn't been tied into two pigtails. Two horns criss-crossed above her head and a sultry and dark smile played across her face that made her finned ears tilt up a bit. They had been caught, by a high-blood. "Two reds escaping with the doctor's toy? Naughty boys." Alacar stepped in front of them, raising his hands up in surrender. "We don't want to hurt anyone we're just tr-" "Shshshsh. " The high-blood shushed him with an almost sweet sound. "Bad boys don't get to talk." Alacar swallowed and made a show of being intimidated because he was, but while she spoke he watched and waited for the moment that her soul was closest to the surface. "You see, I was just getting bored while I was waiting so I think I'm going to have some fun with you boys. OH I know let's play a game. I'll ask you a question and if you don't answer in a way I like I'll shoot you." She ended the sentence with a giggle though no one else found humor in what she said. "We'll start with you, the one that stepped forward. What's your name?" Alacar almost didn't answer, but getting shot would put a serious chink into their plans, and he needed to buy as much time as he could while slowly dragging her soul up. "I'm Alacar Helsng." "Good boy, and why do you want that broken doll over there?" He growled but answered her. "They are my mate-sprite… I want them back." "Oh that's such a pitiful love story, what a heartbreaking story. You must have gone such a long way to get them back. It would be a shame if this story ended in a tragedy." Alacar knew then what she was about to do, he could see the slight adjustment of her gun as she changed to aim at Calmet. He saw the smile slide from playful to predatory and he acted. With a violent flex of his will, he dragged her soul to the surface and squeezed. Applying crushing force until the fragment of soul that was her eyes violently crunched down and she began to scream. Blood gushed from her now vacant eyes and she crumbled to the floor, dropping the gun in the process "What's wrong your highness?! I thought high-blood didn't grovel before low casts like me?! WHAT'S THE MATTER?! WHERE'S ALL YOUR FUCKING POWER NOW?!" Alacar's face had warped into a deranged smile as he mocked the wailing and thrashing woman on the floor until Vlad placed a hand on his shoulder and pulled him out of it. "Al, we need to go, now." "Ugh, fine. You go ahead and make sure Harvey is safe, I've got Calmet from here." Vlad nodded to him and took off down the hall while Alacar lifted his mate-sprite and began to take her out of the room and down the hall after Vlad.
If he had been paying more attention he would have noticed the radio silence, the lack of input from anyone, but he hadn't. Instead, he was stopped dead as a figure walked out of the shadow and stood blocking off their way forward. Instinctively he knew who she was, in the pits of his soul he could feel the power that radiated off of the being before him and he knew without a doubt. "You really fucked up." Said the Empress.

Cont from x @witchcraftandburialdirt
Lips pulled into a thin line as he listened to his lover beg for forgiveness. That or perhaps a speck of Vlads softness that he could so easily squeeze out of the hemomancer. Vlad however, was unmoved by the pleas. As much as he had thought Robin to be a soft thing, the mage wouldn't dare beg for his life. Which Vladimir was thankful for knowing such a trivial detail. As much as he loved Robin, the man would never concede even if it costed him his life. Something he had scolded him countless times for.
"As much as you sweet little cries for mercy sting my ears and pains my heart. It is quite easy to see that you are not the one I am courting in this body. Remove yourself." He says, voice rather stale towards what was Robin. He was unsure which demon had claimed him for now, but Vlad was extremely certain that it was toying with him. Something he knew all too well from past interactions.
"Whom am I speaking to?" He says, hand clenching, the limbs of his love pressing inwards rather painfully as he commanded his muscles to seize to his control.

LOL! John would.
Wonder how common it is for the people of this imaginary world to Swap to avoid boring meetings and etc.?
How often do the heads of those meetings try(and succeed at) arranging things so that the avoidant meeting members end up Swapping into a completely different but equally boring, and probably also confusing, meeting?
~Fun worldbuilding thoughts~
. … .
..Thinking about the contract signing a bit more, our not-named-quite-yet ghost man might decide to not even bother with negotiations, 'cause if John doesn't want him killing Anyone then the most he'd be able to get would probably be being allowed to kill sufficiently bad people, which could potentially get him labeled a vigilante, Again. Which - no thank you. That did Not go well last time.
Whatever the case, he signs it with the name 'Dan'. The restraints fall off and the tension in the air dissipates significantly, the house clearly still doesn't like him much, but it can tolerate him now that he's been declawed.
First thing the newly-named Dan does is track down a mirror to get a look at his soulmate. He finds one and the reflection is of a man somewhere in either his 30s or 40s with short blonde hair, 5-o'clock shadow, blue eyes, and generally rugged features.
'Handsome' is a word that flits through his mind. He hasn't thought about anyone as any kind of attractive in a long time.
(Hasn't seen anyone as anything other than prey in a long time.)
Next thing he does is go to the house's front door to test if the house will allow him outside.
The door opens easily, he walks right out and makes his way to the gate at the edge of the property unimpeded, said gate also opens easily.
He's not entirely sure if that puts a dent in his 'fellow prisoner' theory, or if the house is just dumb.
Either way, he glances around the area where his soulmate apparently lives. It's a city block - the old-fashioned magic house looks quite out of place amongst all the modern(by this decade's standards) architecture - that seems like it's been through a few villain attacks over the years and has recovered from each one just fine, none of them having been of an apocalyptic level.
Nothing like what he did in his own timeline.
People walk the streets, minding their own business with hardly a care in the world, completely oblivious to the apocalypse bringing monster awkwardly standing on the sidewalk, wondering what to do with himself now that he's just barred himself from his own self-imposed purpose.
He considers just wandering around and looking for something to do.
Which could potentially involve human interaction.
…
He turns and walks back into the house, deciding he'll just mess around with magic some more.
Yet Another Soulmate Prompt
Constantine didn't have a soulmate. He didn't have a body counter on his arm (in any sense of the term), and he had never body swapped with them. That was fine. A soulmate would slow him down. Be a liability. Plus, not everyone had a soulmate. No big deal.
But then something happened. He had a counter on his wrist. Since the number was freakishly high, his soulmate couldn't have just been born. When they swapped bodies, it was dark and cramped and uncomfortable. He tried for what must have been hours to swap back. When he finally returned to his own body, he found himself being restrained by the House of Mystery. After that experience he decided to actively resist the swap whenever he felt the pull.
Dan hadn't noticed when the counter appeared on his wrist, but it had been there even in his timeline. Not that he ever found out who it was. By the time he was interested in learning, he was unable to swap. Not that that was a surprise, he had killed a majority of the world by that point.
He hadn't even thought about swapping with his soulmate until after he was trapped inside the thermos. He figured that he could use the situation to his advantage.
He started experimenting with the limits of this new body he'd found himself in. Physically, it was rather weak, but he could feel a hidden well of power that could be useful if he figured out how to tap into it. He explored the house for a while, until he came across a library filled mostly with books on magic. Exactly what he needed to continue doing whatever he wanted.
In the back of his mind he could feel the other trying to swap back.
He started reading through the books, trying out spells. Then he found a few that were too much for the body he was in and pushed it further. The ectoplasm being created by his core would soon allow him to form outside of the physical body anyway. He wouldn't need it.
That was when he started noticing that the house was moving. By that point it was too late. The house was more proficient in magic than he was and was more than capable of preventing him from leaving it. When he was completely restrained by the house, he gave up resisting the swap. The body's owner would probably allow him to swap again when they weren't stuck inside that house.
Except they didn't. It made him wonder if his soulmate was trapped in that house similarly to how he was trapped in the thermos. Or perhaps they hated being in the thermos just as much as he did.
As much as he tried to fight it, he began to wonder who the other was, what their life was like. He began to regret not finding a mirror to see what his match looked like. He was starting to become rather curious who the universe would pair him with.

Fighting Style:
Jessie has gotten her powers long before Danny did, so she was able to practice with them and later control them. After Danny got his powers, that's when Jessie showed her powers to him and the two became a ghost fighting team. She does her best to help teach him how to control his powers and teaches him how to fight by using Judo since Jessie learns how to fight in martial arts from her father. Jessie likes to kick and punch, but she finds kicking more powerful than punching. And because she is flexible, kicking is as easy as breathing. She also realized that her dancing can be used to fight her enemies and avoid their attacks, so because of this, she likes close combat than distance combat.
Backstory
Birth:
Jessie was born as the youngest child, and was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Early Life:
Jessie's parents once owned a small ranch with animals such as cows, chickens, sheeps, goats, and horses. Jessie always loves horses for as long as she can remember, her father puts her in a saddle even before she learned how to walk. She loves riding horses so much to the point she even learns how to ride them with and without a horse saddle and reins. She used to watch wrestling with her father since she was 6 or 7 years old, so even though her mother disapproves of this, Jessie continues to watch wrestling shows with her father such as WWE.
Her father was once a judo expert trainer before he met Jessie's mother, who worked at a ranch her whole life, but still found a job at a local office, so he taught Jessie and her sisters how to fight and defend themselves at a young age. Even though the era of Greasers has ended, there are some descendants of the greasers who loves to dress up in clothing like their ancestors, Jessie just so happens to run into a group of them while playing in the park with her family one summer afternoon. Luckly the gang she met are good and begins to hang out with them.
Middle School:
Because of her hanging out with the greasers' descendants, she begins to dress up like them too and had certain rules of the greasers that was appropriate for her and her friends to follow as they grew together as they watched wrestling and like doing sports, even joining some school sports clubs, one of them is a wrestling club which Jessie joined. When she was attending middle school, they attend to the class field trip to a lab that is own by a team of scientists called the Guys in White. Jessie wasn't very excited about it, knowing it'll bored her out of her mind, but little did she know, it was about to change her life forever.
During the tour, Jessie decided to go to the restroom during lunch, but ended up getting lost when she was done, she stumbles upon one of the portals and being born with autism, she got curious and decided to step a little closer to the ghost portal. Unfortunately, one of the employees didn't know she was there when they activated the portal to test it. It caught Jessie by surprise, and before she even had a chance to get away from the portal, the portal testing failed as an exposed circuitry gave her a strong electric shock. She screamed in pain as she was flown back out and landed on her back on the ground, away from the portal. The last thing she heard was her friends calling out her name as she heard footsteps running towards her before she went unconscious.
She woke up in the hospital a day later, and after her awakening, her parents and the school sue the GiW for being careless about a middle schooler getting injured and won the case, causing the GiW to pack up and leave Tulsa. After being clear to leave the hospital a few days later, Jessie discovered that she felt more energetic and as time went on, she discovered she began to have strange powers. They were limited at first which is why Jessie never put much thought into it, such as floating for a short time or making her limbs disappear.
But as she grew older, these powers began to get more prominent, and it was harder for her to keep them under control. Because of this, Jessie had to leave the wrestling club in fear she'll accidentally hurt someone and made up a half lie about wanting to focus more on her classes. Her family and friends noticed something was wrong with her, and Jessie finally admits to them the reason why. One of her best friends, Tatiana, did some research and found out Jessie had gotten ghost powers from the accident, much to their shock. Because of this, Jessie's family and her friends all promised to Jessie that they wouldn’t tell anyone, and with their help, Jessie decided to learn to control her powers, so she wouldn't be found out about them.
However, tragedy stuck in her life when her father became ill with stage 4 kidney cancer, he tried his best to fight back the cancer, but he ended up passing away peacefully in his sleep. It devastated Jessie and her family. What's worse, her mother announced they were moving to a different state due to her losing her job after the building she was working at was caught on fire and destroyed. Jessie didn't want to move away from the life she loves, especially because she doesn't want to leave her friends and all her animals will be sold.
Luckly, one of her aunts and uncles manages to get her mother a new job from the state they were moving to, and since they live in the outskirts of the town she's moving to, all the animals will be sent to live with them instead. Jessie told her gang about the news and while they are sad about her leaving, they all decided to hang out together and throw a party to spend time together one last time. The next day, Jessie says goodbye to her friends after they gave each other their phone numbers, and she left with her mother and sisters to their new home.
High School:
Jessie and her family soon arrived in a town called Amity Park, and Jessie was already homesick, missing her best friends. Jessie spent the first few nights sulking in her new room, unable to get used to the urban atmosphere of her new home. By the time she starts attending high school, Casper High, she immediately caught everyone's attention due to how she was dressed and for her natural beauty. All the boys were smitten by her looks while all the girls were jealous of her, causing Jessie to feel very uncomfortable since she wasn't used to getting all the attention to herself.
Because of this, she was constantly picked on by the popular girls who were jealous of her for getting the attention and wanting her to feel insecure. Jessie, of course, taught by her old friends about some rules of the greasers with their own rules of their gang, fought back until Sam Manson stood up for her. Jessie was very grateful for this, and was later introduced to Sam’s best friends, Danny and Tucker. She was welcomed and fit right into the group with ease, and she was happy she finally made some friends. However, she soon found out that Danny’s parents were ghost hunters, she tried to avoid and stay away from his parents as far away as possible in fear they'll do something to her if they found out her secret.
At some point, Jessie was 100% comfortable around her three friends, although, she never told them her secret. It wasn't until Danny had a lab accident with his parents' ghost portal and gain his own ghost powers. Not too long after the accident, Jessie finally told her friends about her powers. Of course, they were shocked, but they all promise to keep it a secret, and Danny and Jessie worked together to fight the baddies who came out of the now active Fenton Portal as Danny Phantom and Jessie Shadow, although she did manage to befriend some ghosts just for being herself. As time went on, Jessie began to realize that she has a crush on Danny, and it grew stronger as she spends more time with him, she wants to tell him how she feels, but was scared that she might ruin their friendship, so she never said anything. But she does show signs of jealousy when another girl flirts with him, but she tries her best to hide it.
Jessie then noticed Sam begins to have a crush on him too, she didn't want to fight with Sam and lose her friend over a boy, so they both agreed that they would let Danny decide. When Danny gave up his powers, Jessie was disappointed but supported his decision regardless. She caught Sam later rant at Danny about giving up his powers, Jessie hates the way Sam yelled at Danny and feel offended that Sam acted like Danny is the only half ghost that existed besides Vlad. So, when Sam came back inside, Jessie begins to yell at her for what she said to Danny and told her that she still has her ghost powers and was offending at what Sam said earlier, before leaves to go outside to comfort Danny.
In the South Pole, Jessie finds Sam alone with Danny and was surprised to see that Danny walked away from Sam and heading towards her. In the end, Danny fell for Jessie's kind and caring nature and how she was always there for him thick and thin, he didn't care that she has a level 8 autism or that she likes to dress up as a female greaser from the 1950's and 60's. He proved it to her by kissing her that day. Sam was a bit upset that Danny didn’t choose her yet felt happy for both of them.
After Danny and Jessie saved the Earth from the Disasteriod, everything became a paradise for her, Jessie was surprised that Danny started to dress up like a male greaser since Jessie was starting to rub off on him, but she didn't mind. However, in her sophomore year, Jessie learned from a frustrated Sam who snapped at her of how jealous she was over her relationship with Danny after Sam got tired of hearing all the dates she went on with Danny, and how sweet he is with the gifts he got for her and vice versa. Jessie became annoyed at this and questions Sam if she really does love Danny for who he is just like she does, or if she only loves him because of his powers, just like Paulina and the rest of the girls in town and school does.
This triggers Sam into fighting her, which was hauled by one of the teachers and led Sam being suspended since Jessie was avoiding her attacks thanks to her ghost powers. When Tucker saw this and told Danny what happened, he tells Sam that even though he doesn't appreciate her fighting Jessie over his relationship with her, Sam will always have a special place in his heart, and the two girls remain friends, as well as Sam finally moving on from her crush on Danny.
Collage Life:
Jessie and Danny continued to fight ghosts while spending time together on dates, although this became hard for them to go out in public due to their popularity. When they got to senior year, Jessie doesn't know what career she wants when she goes to college, so when she told Danny, Sam and Tucker about this, Danny suggested she should get a career as a singer since she loves to sing.
Jessie was a little hesitant at first but then remembers that she overcame her stage fright after the incident with Ember Mclain and knew she can't become a wrestler since she's not as interested in wrestling anymore as she used to, and fearing she'll accidentally hurt someone if her powers somehow lost control, she thinks that a singing career might be a better choice instead.
Especially seeing how Amity Park doesn't have many ghost attacks as of late and seeing her boyfriend and her friends being supportive, she agrees with the idea. So, after graduation, she told her mother and sisters about what career she actually wants, they accepted her decision. Jessie and her friends and boyfriend all went to the same college together and she chose classes that involves music, singing and dancing.
It was hard for her to hang out with her boyfriend and her friends, but she still manages to make some time to see them while focusing on her studies. To practice more on her singing, she decided to create a music channel and recorded covers of her favorite songs and posted them online and soon gained internet fame. By her second year, she did less covers and began writing and performing her own songs with the help of Danny, Sam and Tucker.
Jessie soon gains the attention of producers of different music companies, and she became nervous as she didn't know what do to, but Danny encouraged her to choose the best one to help her, and so she did and was very excited although wanted to keep her schooling in check and worked on and off with the record company until the following summer, when she released her first single. Her popularity grew even more, her name becoming well known in the city and later around the world. She held off performances until later in her fourth year. She worked on her first album through the year, finally releasing it and having a small tour during spring break.
Of course, she somehow still manages to make time to spend it with her family, her friends and of course, her boyfriend, Danny. She missed spending time with him as he missed her since she was busy with her singing career, and the ghost couple spend their days going on dates or just hanging out in their apartment, cuddling and watching movies or tv shows. There were even talks about them wanting to get married one day, and so, on the day of their college graduation, Danny proposes to her, to which she happily accepts.
Adult Life:
After college, Jessie returned to Amity Park with Danny, Sam and Tucker. Between songwriting and recording, Danny and Jessie planned out their wedding and got married a year later. Soon after, Jessie found out she was pregnant and brought their first-born son into the world, Dallas Jackson Fenton, or Dally for short. Juggling motherhood, fame, and integrating her spare time into the booming business of FentonWorks proved to be tough. She managed to keep her life in balance even if it were by mere threats at some moments. The battles eased up as Danny and his parents worked on ways to add extra security to the portal, even though it worked half the time.
Her fame grew more with time. She was cranking out a new album every year and went on tour during the summer months. Later, she gave birth to their second child, a daughter name Larissa. With managing two kids now, her singing career slowed down as she focused on being a full-time mom for a while. When the kids grew older and became more independent, she began to write and perform again, although not as much as before. With a lot of money stored in the bank at this point, Jessie managed to give herself and her family a comfortable life as she and Danny raised their two kids who both inherited their powers with love and support, but not spoiling them. They watched as their kids follow their footsteps of becoming heroes as Dally Phantom and Lari Shadow.
Appearance:
Jessie is a young Mexican American girl with fair skin, long brown hair and dark brown eyes. She has her hair tied up in a high ponytail with bangs. She also wears a natural smokey eyeshadow, black eyeliner, black mascara, and nude lipstick. She wears a white crop-top with a black leather jacket, a sterling silver decagem pendant long necklace, a timex women's easy reader black and silver leather strap wristwatch on her left wrist, light blue jean ripped pants with a black leather belt and a pair of brown leather cowboy boots embossed with red flames running up the sides and decorated with yellow shooting stars. When she becomes furious, her eyes sometimes flash neon yellow even while in human form.
When she transforms into Jessie Shadow, her hair becomes platinum blonde and braided into a single messy braid, her eyes become glowing neon yellow, her skin becomes tanned, and a faint white glow surrounds her whole body. In this form, her makeup changed, she doesn't have eyeshadow or eyeliner, but still wears black mascara and wears nude pink lipstick. She wears a black shirt and pants set that reveals her midriff with a grey collar, grey belt, and grey elbow high gloves, and grey boots that looks identical as the boots she wears in her human form, except they have no design on them. After "Memory Blank", she wears her logo, a swift gray "J" with an "S" next to it on her chest. Her voice becomes slightly but noticeably resonant as well.

Interesting Facts:
• Jessie got her nickname from her old gang when they decided to give her a nickname.
• It's rare for Jessie to let her hair down in both her human form and ghost form, mostly her human form. The only time she had her hair down was when she's at water parks or when she's wearing dresses, but other than that, she always has her hair up. She does finally let it down when she gets older though.
• Jessie's favorite colors are yellow, black and red. She likes pink, but it's not her favorite color.
• Her favorite flavors are bubblegum and blue raspberry.
• Jessie is considered to be the most popular girl in school for her beauty, and because of this, her beauty rivals Paulina's, making Paulina the second most popular. But Jessie still decides to hang out with Danny, Sam and Tucker instead with the popular kids.
• Because of her natural beauty, all the boys in school flirted with her, and Jessie didn't like it and makes her uncomfortable, knowing they only liked her for her looks. The boy who flirts with her the most is Dash Baxter, and she hates him because he bullies everyone in school, including Danny and Tucker.
• Jessie love singing and dancing since she was a child. It also provides something she can do for fun or when she's bored. She never told anyone about her love for singing and dancing, so she kept them a secret until the events of "Fanning the Flame".
• Jessie grew up watching wrestling as long as she can remember with her father and because of this, she joined the wrestling club in middle school and became an athlete, her first career choice was to become a wrestler, but after she got her ghost powers, she decided to not be a wrestler anymore and changed her career choice to a singer, but she does appear in WWE as a guest.
• During her ghost battles, Jessie does use a little bit of her wrestling moves she learned from her old wrestling club in middle school. Even some wrestling moves from some WWE wrestlers she watched growing up.
• Even though she has a ranch girl lifestyle, Jessie continues to live a greaser girl lifestyle because it's a way to keep her old gang in her heart, despite being miles apart from them.
• Jessie worn cowboy boots for as long as she can remember, she even wears them under a long skirt dress, the only times she doesn't wear cowboy boots and just wear tennis shoes is working out or during P.E class in school. She also wears sandals but only when it's hot, or when she's at a water park, pool or beach.
• Her favorite types of music are classic, rock, pop, hip hop and of course, Mexican.
• Jessie absolutely loves horses due to growing up on a ranch her whole life. While growing up, she learns how to ride horses, with and without a saddle and reins. So even though her mother works at a music store in Amity Park, she and her sisters would visit and help out their uncle and aunt in their ranch outside of Amity Park and when she's done, she can ride horses again like she used to.
• Jessie likes to cook due to her mother teaching her.
• Jessie has a ghost Kiger Mustang and American Paint mix horse named Seraphina, whom she managed to calm down, become friends with, and later on becomes her master.
• Jessie loves plants due to her mother keeping a few plants in their home. She also likes nature walks in the parks or outside of Amity Park, especially when she needs some time alone.
• Jessie is both a meat eater and a vegetarian.
• Jessie can speak Spanish, she used to speak Spanish a lot from a young age, but starting to speak more English as she grows up. She can still speak Spanish sometimes, just not as much as she used to when she was young. She can also mash up Spanglish.
• Jessie is born with Autism. The level of her disability is 8, which allows her to read and write just fine, but due to her inability to speak to people by herself, she still requires special help and education from the schools she attends, including Casper High. The only ones who knew about her disability are her family and her old gang. Danny, Sam and Tucker learn about her disability later on after befriending her and before Danny got his powers, so they speak up and talk for her when they see she was having a hard time talking to people by herself from time to time.

Not to mention that Kiersten White tried to come up with this ultra-feminist genderbent Vlad Dracula just to:
Name her Ladislav. First of all, that's not even a Romanian name. Second of all, that's not a female form of name Vlad. It's a male form of the name. Open your damn Google.
Shorten her name to Lada. Which means a crate in Romanian. Yep, Vlad the Impaler is a goddamn crate.
Reduce the richness and complexity of Vlad's character to a permanently violent and enraged individual. Not doing any justice to Vlad. Not doing any justice to women.
Also, this comes from the synopsis of Now I Rise (#2):
"After failing to secure the Wallachian throne, Lada is out to punish anyone who dares to cross her blood-strewn path. Filled with a white-hot rage, she storms the countryside with her men, accompanied by her childhood friend Bogdan, terrorizing the land."
Basically, the national hero of Romania and one of the few historical protectors of Wallachia reduced to someone who terrorises that very same country.
Currently reading The Conqueror's Saga by Kiersten White and I kind of want to pour bleach in my eyes? Like it literally spits on Romanian history in every single way imaginable. I do not even want to go into details because I would probably write a dissertation about this.
Meanwhile, the Americans are going all tHiS mAsTeRpIeCe HaS cHaNgEd My LiFe in Goodreads' comment section.
