Lady Uangfah really impressed me this episode. Her selflessness and exemplifencation of real love made me so proud of, touched by, and ultimately, by the end of her confession, both in awe of and sad for her.

It's a cliche, but she truly is the embodiment of if you love someone, let them go. She understands she can't be with Anil, so she won't do anything - she will just stand with her, personally feel her feelings, and support Anil as best she can with her quiet, constant love and presence.

Letting Anil know of her love for her is the least she asks for in return, and that self-aware self-injuring self-indulgence is so painfully beautiful. Poetic, too, maybe, but certainly painful within its beauty.

time for what might actually be a controversial opinion in my corner of the mdzs fandom but, uh

i do actually think we should stay out of the canon jiang cheng tag 😬 like yes, it’s absurd to create a tag that includes the word “canon” in it for content that is largely just very bad faith fanon takes, but forget the pedantry of that for a second and just bear with me.

if i’m understanding the fandom history of this tag correctly, the canon jiang cheng crowd specifically started using it because fans of jc (rightfully!!) got on their case about constantly dropping their character hate and bad faith commentary in the general character tags

they have by and large been consistent about tagging their bizarre hateboner content with this tag. they are self-containing in an easily avoidable quarantine zone (which is more than the jgy antis ever bother to do)

aside from how people who like jiang cheng feel about a group of antis claiming that their tag is the “canon” one, realistically people who are looking for jc content are just going to type his name into the search bar and then explore the general tags first

i’m not a jc stan, but i do like him and categorically disagree with the cjc crowd’s assessment of his character. but like. i make a very big deal on this blog about not tagging character hate, or not tagging pointless character negativity that no one actually wants to see, or making use of known character-critical tags so that people can easily sort and filter what they’re looking for on this site without forcing other people who are just minding their business in the general tags to see stuff that is just shitty and mean-spirited. it would be extremely rich of me to say those things and then turn around and not say something, or even encourage, my followers to cross that line. even for people who have been cunty at me and my friends in the past.

like honestly just… let them have their little enclosure where they can say their wrong things to each other, and leave them alone. the adults can just keep talking in the general jiang cheng tags.

I caught a spiderling plume moth (Megalorhipida leucodactylus) once for class and that was my first time ever seeing anything out of Pterophoridae . Prior to capturing that little thang I had never even heard of plume moths, so you can imagine the bewilderment I experienced when I saw this unexplainable little creachure just hanging out on the wall of my uni's eatery as though that is just where it always belonged

Last night I cried, and I mean UGLY cried at a foul hour because I love Albert Wesker and I hate it. (/Lh)

Like first off, the man's name is Albert??? Need I say more? But then, his name is kinda gothic when you say his full name. I don't know if that's just me. But just simply referring to him as Albert is goofy as fuck considering he's supposed to be a villain in RE. Not only that, he's got paper thin lips. How's he gonna get a kiss kiss??☝️🤨/ref

But it wasn't only that, mind you, it's also because this absolute FUCK, this evil David Bowie and Johnny bravo looking mother fucker, has consumed my life and every waking thought that sometimes it genuinely hurts and that's what I hate about being autistic. It's just how much I want to consume of something once it becomes a special interest and/or hyperfixation. On top of that, Wesker is a special case for me because I found out I technically trauma bonded to him as a comfort character. For the past year and a half now, I got back into RE because of the RE4R and began hyperfixating on said game then it spiraled into hyperfixating about the Wesker's storyline, with project W and so on. I already have a tendency to go back to RE periodically every like two or so years but this has low-key been probably the longest I've consistently fixated on RE without a single break in-between. My dad and I bonded over resident evil, he's one of the people who got me into RE, albeit he watched the movies and I got into the game's. Which means RE means a whole lot to me and since he passed my fixation on it only heightened as a source of comfort. I also found out when you have a comfort character during a horrible period in your life, you very well can trauma bond with said character. So that means out of all characters, I have trauma bonded to Albert Wesker and I am two seconds away from tweaking. 🤩

On top of that, every time @rainbowroadonsteroids sends me something remotely Wesker related I start punching my wall and they bully me for it smh./Lh+nm

Saw some art of sewn tongue!Anastasia and I agree it's likely the Ninth is the house of the jawless skull because John sewed her tongue after her failed ascension, but I've also been thinking about this recently because of ongoing discussion about saint relics and how quite a few relic skulls are jawless because, well, as I am intimately familiar with at this point, the mandible is only connected to the skull via joints and soft tissue. On a bare skull you'd need to pin or wire it. So a jawless skull is missing a part of itself, yes, but it's also missing what you could view as external support... or external interference. Fitting for a house that insists on standing on its own.
