"one of the most special moments for myself...i had all the guys that were still up after the game over at my house...we were honestly just hanging out...by the pool and it was just us players" if you notice anytime matthew is asked about special moments or moments he enjoys/remembers the most he usually states that its a mundane activity amongst teammates (re:saying the thing he enjoyed most about playoffs was playing poker with the guys and usually the inbetweens of playoffs, the hotelrooms, the chatter, etc.)

and thusly these pictures of the cup were born (x)(x) and explains the timeline pretty well since we saw forsy sasha and stenny all come out of the lockeroom to celly on ice with the people who were still in the stadium around 3AM and then around 8AMish we get the greeting by boat video (refer: to above) and then afterwards they headed to annes coffee and then straight to elbo room by 9AM

“What?” You blink at Matt. He gives you that devilishly charming smile in return. The one that’s achingly lazy and oh so warm. It melts you completely.

“Can I hold your hand?” He holds out his own. After a moment, you take it. You weren’t ever really gonna say no. Not to an opportunity you’ve been dreaming about for months.

You walk with him, sticking close on the busy sidewalk. You’re barely paying attention though, too busy focusing on the feel of his calloused hand against yours.

He takes you out for lunch. And then walks you home. It’s the most giddy you’ve felt in months. He treats you so normally, but with so much grace it feels… special. He makes you feel special.

And when he kisses your hand at the door, lips lingering against your skin for a touch longer than necessary? When his lips are pillow soft and his kiss slow and gentle? You could combust into a thousand starbursts and still feel enraptured.

You’re so in love with him. And for the first time in ages, it seems like you finally have a chance.

maffew is such a rat I adore his goalie stick stealing ass

ill be so real the whole ordeal was fucking hilarious if not because of the way maffhews body just clutches at his ribs (where he got hit and also coincidentally where the goalie stick is) so he has plausible deniability when he flops to the floor with it

him immediately jumping back up to join the play and give em a shot back because he is nothing if not extremely petty

the way he shoves the goalie back again when he pokes one in gets so confused why he cant celly because theres too many blueshirts around and he wants to celly!!! give him space to celly!!! and benny ends up having to hold him so he doesnt fall over like theyre in the middle of a kdrama and maffhews the clumsy charming female protagonist who just keeps bumping into the chest of hot men for narrative reasons

but also when stripes came over to check on him after he got speared and hes like owieeee he got me in the side yeah this side right here >.>

as if this wasnt him not even 10 seconds after his goal like hes a kid that scraped their knee and wont stop crying until you magically tell them its ipad time and then he shuts up like ooooo ipad time
