feeling very normal about matthew and joe tonight :,)

i'll give you one fucking guess who he's looking at

the 2360 bond is so important to me... kniesy going up to joey when he first got called up to the team asking for Guidance and joey is like 'actually i just got here too :)' so they end up having to figure out what it means to be rookies in the nhl together. becoming such good friends they end up attached at the hip and you rarely see one without the other. sharing the same (ridiculous) nickname. coming up with silly little pregame rituals because i guess you need to spend time together before a game to feel settled. complimenting each other constantly. always standing up for one another. someone knocks into joey? kniesy is going to kill them and then loving help him to his feet. someone hurts kniesy? well okay, now no one is allowed to score. have fun getting shutout. planning to take cooking classes together. going to a bee exhibit because why not. figuring out what your future is going to look like together. being a solid support for the other to lean on. the most tender heartwrenching post game goalie hugs of all time. all very mundane things that we should all feel very normal about!

#the bee exhibit thing still kills me. i'm 90% sure that was kniesy being a supportive bf and taking an active interest in joey's hobbies.#thank you for this ask anon i too am feeling very normal about them #it's the way they balance each other out and seem to genuinely delight in spending time together that gets me...#(and of course the vaguely homoerotic post game goalie hugs that they REFUSE to show us half the time...)#2360 #the asked and the answered
