My PM called me "very intuitive", politely said that he's worked with others that were slow and couldn't follow quickly and I'm the complete opposite and I exceed expectation. He basically called me a genius. I've heard this all my life.

I did jury duty on the 12th of September and the jury clerk, while explaining the instructions to the congregation, mentioned that "a felon is not eligible to serve on the jury for any trail. However, a felon IS eligible to run for president". The whole room gagged. He then explained to us what a 'voir dire' is.

I said it before and I'll say it again, 'reactionary' is a way I strive not to be. I'm all for change, but I'm also very conservative and reserved. I liked the way things were 20 years ago but I'm also not an idiot who thinks time goes backwards. Therefore, I am still learning (teaching myself) to adapt rather than conform......because there is a difference.

**bonus for those who don't know the difference: adapt: To make suitable to or fit for a specific use or situation. conform: To be or act in accord with a set of standards, expectations, or specifications; correspond.

Unpopular opinion - all the fear/disgust aimed at people being "victims" or getting seen as/called a "victim" or accused of having a victim mindset or playing victim, when there is legitimate hurt/harm/trauma/wrongdoing, is gaslighting and victim-blaming- just another weapon aimed at silencing victims and survivors. I have seen it used by narcissistic abusers more than not.
