❝ I wish I could say fanfic writing as a part of my special skills while applying for a job ❞ and what if I say you actually can? because writing fanfic can actually be used as a part of your special skills while applying for a job and it is valid. writing is writing. literally the only thing differentiate fanfic writers from writers who publish and sell original works is that fanfic writers can’t publish and sell their works. that’s all. that’s the only difference. don’t let anyone tell you “fanfic writers aren’t real writers because their works aren’t as good as those of writers who write and sell original works” because that’s utter bullshit. I’ve read so many well written fanfics that are so much better than some published original novels. (here’s the proof.)

wanna know the trick? if you don’t think you’re gonna be taken seriously if you say you write fanfics while in a job interview, then say creative writing. because writing fanfics is considered creative writing. it is creative writing.

fanfic writers can write novel-length fiction, fanfic writers can write as good as any other writers who write original works if not better. fanfic writers are writers and they are just as valid.

you, a fanfic writer, may even be more dedicated and passionate than writers who sell original works because, while they write because it’s their job, you literally write 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 free 👏🏻 out 👏🏻 of 👏🏻 pure 👏🏻 love 👏🏻 and 👏🏻 passion.

that’s a whole novel and you wrote that with pure love and passion. that’s pretty mind blowing.

so yes, you absolutely can and should say creative writing while applying for a job, and say it proudly. you are a writer.

what i will say is that the person who informed me of this bill months ago never specified the bill id and only specified the date it will take effect

when questioned what the bill id was they simply said they didnt know which i find suspicious considering that they knew only the date and not the id aswell which is the most important info i should be knowing

despite this allegedly only targetting porn sites my state is incredibly fascist and incredibly bigotted

meaning that they can and very well could target sites that are not porn sites such as twitter tumblr and instagram and if they do those platforms will geoblock alabama as they cannot change tos and community guidelines for just one state

this bill could also target any content online that is dubbed 'harmful to minors' which can and most likely will target (including but not limited to) queer content sexual health/ex content and content about abuse mental illness or addiction

i need your help getting it sued qnd shot down so i dont lose everything i have left

the internet is my only safe space and the only way i can talk to my bf (aka the single thing keeping me alive atm)

She side-glances Lestat 3 times. First when Santiago says his name, so that may be the sole reason she looks at him, but remember that this is the moment she's scoping out the crowd.

To me she's counting him in too. Her promise to fucking kill them all is to him as well.

However, she's just seen the man with the top-hat. So I wonder if she's looking at Lestat to sort of... check his mood? Maybe see if he'd back her up? Let's remember how smart she is and how well she understands him. Louis gets him but she can become Lestat.

The second side-glance is when Lestat insists that she had her last request. And I'm sure that Claudia mentally came up with at least 50 new swear words for him right then and there. It feels like a "thank you" in the most sarcastic tone.

Then the last is after she finishes her speech. Look at how her eyebrows go UP. "See what I did, dad? Fuck you." or "That goes for you too btw". And how his eyes follow her as she's dragged back, what's on his mind??

It's a little conversation they have with their eyes, and you can interpret it in a thousand different ways but Claudia's last look in particular speaks of a familiarity that is oh so painful considering the circumstances.

Not to even mention her very last glance right before she dies.
