Se e vida é, the second single taken from Pet Shop Boys’ 1996 album Bilingual.

This was a promotional copy sent to our radio station in November 1996. It contained two single discs printed on bright yellow and neon green vinyl, with an instrumental version and a few dubs and remixes of the song.

It spent 8 weeks in the singles chart in the UK, one reviewer gushed that it was life-affirming and the best Pets single in years.

This release contains the original, the Deep Dish Dub, Deep Dish Liquid Remix, Pink Noise Mix, and a few remixes by Mark!

That's all I know about particular release, I was just surprised that they would send out a no doubt rarer (and costlier to make and ship??) coloured vinyl to campus (and other) radio stations, but I'm glad that 25 years later, we still have our copy and it's in pretty good and listenable condition!

A fantastic album which marks the return of founding member Kai Hansen on vocals and guitar since 1988’s Keeper Of The Seven Keys. It also marks the return of vocalist Michael Kiske since 1993’s Chameleon. A fantastic album overall. This one is pressed on marbled gold vinyl.

Agalloch

Today is a good day. I was randomly searching up some bands on various social media, and discovered that one of my favourites of all time, Agalloch, who disbanded in 2016, reformed last year to play some live shows.

No doubt because of this they've also reissued a couple of old albums. I now have this gorgeous limited edition vinyl on preorder.

As well as this shirt, and a patch for my jacket. Those lyrics on the back of the shirt 💜

If you've never listened to Agalloch before, I would highly recommend them. They kinda fall under the black metal umbrella, but not really, kinda fall under folk but not really, kinda under atmospheric/shoegaze but not really.

No-one else sounds like this, its just magical. Listen to them. This track may (arguably) be the best they've ever done.

My very pretty copy of John Norum’s solo debut album Total Control. Released in 1987 after he left EUROPE in late 1986. The album includes Göran Edman as lead vocalist on tracks such as Love Is Meant To Last Forever, Eternal Flame and Back On The Streets which is a cover of Vinnie Vincent Invasion’s song from their 1986 self-titled debut album and John Norum on lead vocals for the rest of the album. This copy is pressed on limited edition silver marbled vinyl and is numbered 453 out of 1500 copies. A very good album overall.
