Excited to be here!

Here is my collection of paintings celebrating the four seasons and capybaras!

I'm super new to Tumblr, so here's a short intro:

I'm a Taiwanese American artist born and raised in California, who's into all things cute, colorful and shiny!

I always dreamed of being a professional artist. After pursuing a career as a lawyer and then becoming a stay at home mom of two amazing boys, I discovered the art of toner foiling in May 2021. I drew and foiled my friends' pets and shared them on social media, and it blew up into my first business!

Since then, I've expanded to digital paintings (mainly of cats and capybaras) and stickers.

I've also done a lot of charity work with my art:

- Raised $2k for Ukraine

- Fundraised $18k for rescue kitties including Wisp and Tater Tot

- Donated and displayed 18 foiled portraits of Queer lcons for the SF LGBT Center

- Painted a baseball base for the SF Giants' Pride Game

Pairing: Glen Powell x Reader

Author’s Note: this was almost too lovey dovey of a prompt for me but I hope you enjoy! 😛

The BAFTAs were the reason you were in London, but sightseeing with Glen was the real highlight of the trip. With your schedules constantly pulling you in different directions, moments like these—just the two of you in a new city—were rare. So you made a pact: full tourist mode. No shame.

Bundled up against the February chill, you dragged him from one landmark to the next, snapping pictures in front of Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower Bridge. Glen, ever the good sport, let you force him into taking the most ridiculous photos—one where he dramatically bowed outside the palace gates like he was about to be knighted, another where he pretended to hold up the London Eye like it was the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

“Alright, what’s next on the itinerary?” he asked as you walked along the Thames, his hand tucked into the pocket of your coat for warmth.

You gave him a once-over, grinning. “Honestly? You’re blending in so well, we might not even need an itinerary.”

He raised an eyebrow. “Blending in?”

“Mhm.” You reached up and ran a hand through his slightly darker hair—his latest role had required a color change, and the deeper shade made him look even more debonair than usual. “This brunette moment? Very British of you. Like, you could be someone’s posh cousin visiting from Oxford.”

Glen scoffed. “Posh cousin? I was hoping for at least a rugged MI6 agent.”

You tilted your head, pretending to consider. “Ehh, I don’t know. With that hair, I’d say you’re more like… Prince Harry’s long-lost American twin.”

“Wow. Okay.” He feigned offense but couldn’t help the amused glint in his eyes. “So, should I start practicing my accent then?”

“Oh, absolutely,” you teased. “I think a proper ‘Ello, love’ is in order.”

He rolled his eyes but leaned in anyway, his lips brushing your ear as he murmured in the worst, most exaggerated British accent possible, “Ello, love. Fancy a spot of tea?”

You burst into laughter, shoving at his chest as he chuckled along with you. “That was terrible.”

“Was it, though?” He smirked. “I think I nailed it.”

Shaking your head, you looped your arm through his, guiding him toward a red double-decker bus. “C’mon, Prince Harry, let’s go find some fish and chips before we have to be all glamorous at the BAFTAs.”

“Only if you admit I look good as a brunette.”

You sighed dramatically. “Fine. You look good as a brunette.”

He grinned, dropping a kiss to your temple. “Knew it.”

And with that, you continued your sightseeing adventure—your movie-star boyfriend disguised as a London local, and you, his ever-amused travel companion, making the most of every moment together.

percy jackson would for sure and without a doubt get you a bunny in your favorite color, and then a blue one for himself!! he’d claim that the bunnies are you and him if you were jelly cats and he’d make them sleep together and shit he’s so silly!! OR he would get you a sea creature so if he’s not around you’ll have something to remind you of him ☺️

connor stoll would undeniably get you something stupid like a fucking peanut or something LMAO. this boy has never been serious a day in his life… or he’d get you the pickle one or capybara or the rain frog or literally anything ridiculous! (you secretly love it though, you won’t lie)

jason grace would DEFINITELY get you a dinosaur, don’t ask me why I just know, okay? like whether it’s a t-rex, stegosaurus, brontosaurus, literally he’ll see any type of dino and now it’s yours!! you’ve basically got the whole pre-human civilization set up on your bed at this point…

leo valdez would either get you the fire + marshmallows or a dragon, I can’t decide (or both, honestly LOL). similar to percy, he wants you to be reminded of him during his absences since he’s typically busy in the forges and not always present… and though it doesn’t entirely make up for it they’re cute so it’s 50% worth it!

luke castellan would for sureee get you something related to your paternity/cabin… so like, demeter cabin a tree, athena cabin an owl, aphrodite a pink bunny, apollo cabin a sun… you get the idea of it.

okay look i'm sorry okay I'M SORRY, i KNOW i've posted these stills like three times today already but can we just. can we just look at them one more time. i promise then i'll shut up. i promise. i swear it on a stack of rosmei priest vol 1s i promise I PROMISE—

first of all, luo yiguo. or pingüino or whatever tf we're calling him now. (yes it's ping diguo i'm being funny) listen everything about this cat is wrong. first of all he tiny, when we all know perfectly well that luo yiguo is about the size of a capybara, a well-fed healthy dude who drinks red wine and gives no fucks that lwz calls him "spherical" and is always threatening him with a nonexistent diet. also, while priest doesn't ever say what color yiguo is, in all the audio drama art he's an orange tabby, sometimes with white markings; whereas on the manhua page for luo wenzhou, and in a lot of fan art as well, he's a rare male calico. definitely not black.

(i love the last one the most. look how cute he is down in the corner, asleep but still smiling. he has a sweet life. all is well in his soul.)

do i care, though, that this luo yiguo is the wrong color and size, and worst of all, has been renamed for a frying pan? no, no i do not care. i am a simple girl at heart. i see a person feeding a cat, and i am content. i honestly need nothing else from a drama. just: person. cat.

2. okay that first one was fun but now it's getting serious. just look at what the homosexuals are doing to me. what an OUTRAGE.

because here's THIS motherfucker. suddenly unbearably domestic in his fuzzy grey SWEATER or LONG UNDERWEAR or whatever this incredibly soft-looking garment is, that i definitely do not want to mash my face into or anything. you would never GUESS he spends his entire work life as a irritable hotheaded ill-tempered police captain constantly barking commands at his subordinates with a CIGARETTE hanging out of his belligerent mouth. instead this guy looks like he runs a gay B&B in vermont and bakes his own fresh blueberry muffins every morning for the guests. i literally hate him.

(what if the whole appeal for lwz of a live-in boyfriend is that he gets to pretend he has perpetual house guests? and he must anticipate and fulfil their every need? i'm not saying he's codependent but actually that's exactly what i'm saying, please see my forthcoming fic on this curiously misunderstood topic)

3. anyway so yes, i do suffer. but not as much as i suffer from what's coming next. because what on god's abandoned earth is THIS:

(like maybe someone just blew it dry for example. or tangled their fingers in it while [redacted].) standing here hesitantly at the BEDROOM door in in his BATHROBE. watching lwz feed his (his) (their) cat.

he's literally two seconds away from saying "...come back to bed?"—and he's in lwz's HOUSE. do you understand what i'm saying. fei du is finally HOME. in a strange way, considering how bad everything is going to be? everything also gets better from this point onwards.

I really like ocean creatures and my favorite is nudibranchs. They're small, unbothered, oddly wrinkly???, and come in so many colors!!!!!

They eat jellyfish and steal their stinging cells to ward off predators!!!!

A BABY!!!! They're literally like the capybaras of the ocean, small crustaceans have been known to hitch rides on them and are very docile unless they feel threatened

I reached the tag limit 💀💀💀 so here’s two tags I had to get rid of! Final part coming out tomorrow and I was gonna add Mike, but didn’t to keep the number even! Just know he’s a bird!

Ashley - I really wanted to play with her “baby eagle” codename and maker her a bird (duck #150 ), but I personally don’t think it truly fits, but I do think a lip eater bunny fits! Especially cause of her hair! Bunny is #95!

Merchant - Donkey #1944! Hear me out, donkeys are great at carrying lots of stuff…Merchant carries lots of stuff…therefore, donkey, case closed, thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Luis - Goat #1952! He was lowkey hard to find an LPS for, but I saw this lil goat with the heart nose and I couldn’t resist.

Hunnigan - Lamb #2101! Except her bow would be a pen tee hee! And with glasses ofc!

Krauser - I’m not super happy with the LPS I chose for Krauser, but I do know he screams loyal dog that’s been wronged one too many times and has started biting. For now, I assigned him German Shepard #1800.

Salazar - He’s an ant. Tee hee.

Saddler - Saddler was so damn hard to decide what LPS he would be. I do NOT think my choice is a good choice tbh, but I was so done with this guy, I just settled 💀 he’s an anteater cause he manipulated Salazar and is basically the reason everything happened.

Méndez - HE’S A SPIDER!!!!! Probably wouldn’t have the bow, but maybe he’s feeling fashionable you never know!!!

Sheva - Sheva my beloved 💖 I initially thought of a lioness, but turns out all the lioness models are just jaguar models 💀

Josh - The moment my eyes landed on Corgi #1767…I just knew…That’s just Josh!!! Okay, maybe he wouldn’t be a corgi, so I did some more digging and a bear model may also fit him perhaps???

Reynard - Perhaps a cat??? Or a fish to play on his last name???

Spencer - Hear me out. A lion. But an old Lion who’s way past his prime and is dethroned by another Lion (referencing my LPs stars post)

Irving - Irving lowkey looks like the greyhound model…plz tell me you see it too

Excella - Chinchilla or poodle?? Both are well groomed and love keeping clean (as clean as they can be) and stubborn.

Helena - She’d either be Spaniel #156 or Dachshund #172!

Piers - This new dog!!! He’s either a husky or wolf (I’ve also seen wolf dog), but he gives Piers energy fr fr. (Sorry it’s blurry, with this guy being new, the pics aren’t high quality yet)

Finn - He’s a capybara!! Finn I love you forever fr fr💖💖💖 I have this one and I adore it so much (also sorry the pic isn’t clean, this guy is new and I don’t think anyone has uploaded a transparent background pic yet!)

Jake - Fox #807! It has his red hair!! Also the fox and hound dynamic between him and Piers was too good to miss.

Simmons - Cat #055! Nothing much to say here other than ew…Simmons… (I love the kitty tho, droopy eyed kitties are the best)

Carla - I know she’s supposed to be a perfect copy of Ada, but I think it’d be super interesting if their colors were inverted or maybe white fur would start to peek out over time!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Summary: You pray for good weather on your beloved dragon's birthday. Will the heavens turn an ear on your well wishes? Dragon Hybrid! Sylus x Deer Hybrid! Reader Tags: Sylus x Reader, Hybrid AU, Fluff, Predator/Prey

Author's Notes: The series has ended but my beta reader said more HAHA (Also, because I love you guys and it's our man's birthday.)

Sylus knows you are not one for superstition but it amuses him to see you very much bothered by the sudden burst of rain showers as his birthday comes nearer.

“What is this place you have in mind that rain has became such a bad thing to you, sweetheart?”, he asked you once, an attempt masked as a question to fish out at least a hint from you but-

-You are quicker now to see through him and he only receives a mysterious smile as his answer (“Mr. Sylus is such a bad liar,” it seems to say) before you return to what you were doing.

“Usually, I don’t let people out of my sight if they don’t answer me properly, darling.”

He will murmur softly, playfully nipping your soft deer ear but he already did it too many times that gone are the inherent instinct of yours to shiver in response. 

You will turn to him then, with the most adorable and cheekiest smile, “That’s good because that means we can spend more time together.”

Yet, you are pulling all of the stops to make sure it doesn’t rain on his birthday.

First, he spots you alone in the greenhouse behind his home (and now yours as well), pulling a petal from a flower one by one murmuring to yourself, “Will it rain? Will it not?”

(You don’t seem too pleased when the flower tells you that it will rain, letting out a huff before returning to your embroidery.)

Then, there is this matter with Luke and Kieran who also support your quest for “No Rain on Boss-man’s Birthday” as they called it who began hanging those little ghost puppets on every window of the base, a culture from another country that apparently helps call for sunshine.

(“A little rain isn't too bad," he mused near the twins once but it is as if the two had a script already prepared for this. “Don't want the cake delivery truck to get delayed, boss.” or “Can’t set off fireworks if it is raining, boss-man.”)

Lastly, he saw through Mephisto’s optics you making an offering to the small altar of your mother.

(It was the slice of premium strawberry shortcake he bought for you but your wish for no rain had supersede your sweet tooth and he heard you whisper to the photo of your mother if she can put in a good word for you and that ‘Sylus is a very nice dragon and he deserves clear skies on his special day.’)

Sylus finally received his answer when you shyly handed him an envelope of tickets to a wildlife park before his birthday.

Finally, it made sense.

Of course you wouldn’t want it to rain. Creatures take refuge after all during those times.

True enough, your efforts weren’t in vain because it was the warmest day of his life, the air was cool, and every animal you and him met along the way were in their element.

“Maybe it can balance another orange,” you thought out loud, both of you huddling near a capybara who already has an orange on top of its head.

The afternoon sun was at its peak and perhaps it was good fortune that you and Sylus won an umbrella from an animal quiz bee earlier (The weekend binges of Life on Earth has paid off!) because it provided shade for the both of you while you and him figure out how many oranges can your newfound friend can balance.

At least, that was the intent and maybe the answer to that question is reserved for another year when Sylus quickly picked you up with one arm, the colorful umbrella in his other hand.

“Sy-”

“Don’t want you to get all muddy now, sweetie.”

You were about to protest that it is clear out but the always playful and knowing grin he wears as he looks up to you says otherwise.

(What is the use of his senses as a predator hybrid if not to know that a downpour is imminent?)

Cue, the umbrella above your heads, then the April shower.

“I thought my mama put in a good word,” you pouted and you believe she did but maybe the heavens had everything mixed up today that yes, the skies are blue, the sun is out but the rain came in too and it must be a mistake since its attendance is required for another day.

“Well, sweetheart, maybe the mother of the fox bride also put a good word for her daughter as well.”

“Fox bride?”

“It is also a perfect day for a fox’s wedding.”

“Oh, so that’s why we won this umbrella,” you smiled in realization while he made his way to the nearest place where both of you can stay and wait for the rain to cease, “Like a birthday gift or an apology gift to you.”

“Or a wedding giveaway to us,” Sylus grinned, setting you down under the canopy of the tall branches of overarching bougainvilleas that shield you from the sudden bout of rain that shows no signs of stopping, the fox’s wedding still in full swing.

“Our umbrella did well. It’s my favorite now,” he mused, his eyes trained at how its hues wash over you.

It is a lovely umbrella, vibrant with each panel bearing the color of the rainbow and if one spins it, it will resemble a makeshift kaleidoscope.

“What if the moths got to it? Will it still be your favorite umbrella?”, you asked, tilting your head while you watch him spin it about, spreading water droplets casting small rainbows against the sunlight.

Even the brightest satin will become dull, wore away, and one day, when you and him are waiting for your final sunset, you will pull this umbrella from the rack on a bright summer morning only to see the moths have received word of a meal they shouldn’t miss and all that remains from their overnight feast will be the system of little metal rods that used to hold the satin together.

Will it still be favored by your dragon?

Sylus stooped down slightly, angling the umbrella down to cover your faces, droplets of water slipping past through the spaces between the leaves of the flowery canopy above you and into the fur of your adorable ears that are flicking them away unconsciously but his eyes lingered more on your little pout directed towards the rain.

Strawberry.

Orange slices.

Maple syrup.

You must be a unique deer indeed because of the many different flavors he tasted on your fingers and lips today.

“It will still be, sweetie,” he chuckled softly, his breath warm against your skin as his nose brushed against yours before he closed the distance once again to get one of his special birthday wishes from you, “Our umbrella will be perfect to count the stars above our heads by then.”

Today, it serves its purpose well and right now, who would have thought?

The April shower tastes as decadent too on your lips too.

finally finished!! god took me 2 days but it was worth it, i decided took Telly around the multiverse, so they could be cheered up by various Mr. Puzzles on their way!

SMGP made a meme with Telly, they sure enjoyed the meme this meme guardian did, who doesn't love a cute Capybara meme!? they're cute and have a dumb face! SMGP is proud of that meme and made Telly a bit more happy!

Woah! Rainbows!! Trickster sure knows how to cheer up innocent kids, with his magic he would do lot of colorful and sparkling rainbows and maybe even make em float, or have fun with some fun games Trickster can summon! does Telly love rainbows? 😊

Guardian of Popstar used the Circus ability (from Kirby Triple Deluxe) so he could do tricks of juggling for the little guy! they seem have fun, Guardian of Popstar not much- but at least he's making them happy that's matter! (no Dedede was injured after Telly left, no no-)

Trivia shows Telly about the multiverse, is surprising Telly is interested on what Trivia does, lol normally no one is interested on what he does, but they do, maybe all this traveling made them curious 🤔 whatever it was, Trivia is more than happy to teach the little guy all he knows!

Doll Puzzles is mute as well, but hey, that won't stop him of try be the adult in this situation (since he is a kid as well on soul, he died at 9 years old) to cheer up Telly, he told them by writing to draw the thing makes them happy, they of course draw their dad! how cute, Doll Puzzles approves! that's how two mute tv headed kids spend their moment together i guess! hope Telly feels a bit better with that therapy

for finish the tour, KuromiPuzzles2000 says some motivational words to Telly...she knows well how is live away from the family, but she gives hope to the little guy that soon they'll see their dad, and gave them a plush! for remember their journey on the different multiverses

Hey everyone you should watch Flow if you can, it is the first indie film to have won an Oscar, and one of the very tiny few to have won best animated picture that isn't Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, or Studio Ghibli. It took them 5.5 years to make and was all made in Open Source Blender. Not a single word of human dialogue is spoken. The animals have recorded lines by real animals. It's cute, it's beautiful, it made me choke up, it doesn't condescend to the viewer. It's expressive, it's colorful, it has dogs, a cat, lemurs, a capybara, a lot of birds, a magical whale thing. Incredible. INCREDIBLE!

- weighted blanket on my bed

- two other blankets of different textures and weights

- bookshelf full of picture books, comics, books on my special interests, and coloring/sticker books

- stuffed toys with crinkly stuff (my favorite stimmy thing ever!)

- warm lamps because the god light is too overstimulating for me

- unscented weighted and microwaveable capybara stuffy for cramps

- cartoon paintings my cousin made me!

- tons and tons and tons of stickers

- ibuprofen because I get headaches all the time

- lotion for my dry hands and my super sensitive nose

- my emotional support doggo! ↓ ↓

And yes the doggy photo dump was a hundred pawcent necessary.

In your defense not all of it was people haters but I just, as a zookeeper, (not for primates but for capybaras, a tapir, and assorted rainforest birds) what does it for me excluding humans are chimpanzees, baboons, macaques, lets not forget the macaques in Florida, and maybe I’m being too harsh but the a-hole orangutan at my zoo that likes to catch squirrels, climb a tree in its enclosure, and throw the squirrel at a speed and height that probably kills or seriously injures them.

look I know there are other animals that do worse from every species but you know most monkeys and apes are smart enough to understand what they are doing. I mean my dog killed a lizard he chased by accidentally stepping on it and by dog standards looked confused, made a whining sound, and sniffed at it before walking off because I think he was smart enough to understand what happened at least to the point of I killed this without meaning to. After that he doesn’t get as close to lizards he chases and in two separate instances when the lizard decided not to run he gave up trying to chase it and stopped barking at it very quickly.

That same dog killed a coral snake by circling it and jumping on the neck right behind the head digging his paw nails in. The venomous snake was in my garden and I didn’t see when I was doing yard work and he had a cautious but confident reaction because he knew that was a dangerous snake and chose the safety of his human and home over the snake.

No other animal has the same morals that humans do, and it’s very unfair to prescribe our ideas of “right” and “wrong” onto them. Also, like humans, animals are all individuals. Just like not every human is a serial killer, not every orangutan is a serial squirrel-torturer.

Domestic dogs are not more or less moral than other animals and your dog likely has no idea what is or is not a venomous snake. He can’t even perceive aposematic coloration because he can’t see the color red. Also, coral snakes are generally shy and very hesitant to bite even if threatened, so being near a coral snake was not putting you in any danger. (Obviously, your dog would not know that, but it’s for your future reference.)

Just an fyi, I am not going to post anti-propaganda, so submissions like this will usually be ignored. I just wanted to address this. If you have beef with a species you can put it in the comments or send me a dm if you want to discuss it. But I’d like to keep this blog as tidy as possible, so no extra drama.
