What were the V's mortal life like?
finally I gathered all main thoughts about them 🖤 they're all jerks and their lives weren't easy
Vox
• born in 1900 to a family of dockworkers, was the first in his family to be born in California, so-called nisei; his parents were pure-blooded japanese who moved to the USA in search of a better life; their lineage had been christian since the Edo period, despite persecution
• spent youth in Nihonmachi (San Francisco's japantown), almost from the day it was founded
• worked with machinery and electricity and was very successful, but at the same time liked to walk in the harbor watching fish being caught (he loved the pungent smell of fish)
• spoke fluent Japanese and English, used the name Cole in english-speaking society, but anyway experienced racist prejudice against himself; future-Vox real name was Koi (carp in japanese)
• after 1924, he often helped compatriots with american citizenship and practically saw the birth of television broadcasting
• by the time of WWII he already had a wife and two children; their third son was born two months before Executive Order 9066
• in 1942 family was interned and he spent two and a half years in "relocation center", while the eldest of sons was shot on suspicion of espionage
• it was then that future-Vox lost trust in any government and decided that he would gather people around by himself (he would later advocate with all his might to minimize the contact of sinners with demons and establish himself in a separate region, spreading technology and broadcasting, and would choose the name Vox, or voice)
• all these anxieties, as well as workaholism, took a heavy toll on health, and he died of a heart attack in early 1950s
Valentino
• son of a prostitute (had no idea who his father was) and inherited her beauty
• had the same name in life as when he died
• born in a Montevideo brothel in the mid XIXth century; grew up in an unhealthy situation and even saw mother working
• later his mother became a brothel owner herself, and a rather harsh one at that; her upbringing laid the foundation for Valentino's crooked understanding of the world and hierarchy
• when he was about twelve years old and was already helping in management (counting money, carrying wine from the pantry, sweeping, all that), one of the customers wanted to take him to the room, but mother heard this and made a scandal, and son wasn't touched
• unfortunately or fortunately for himself, Valentino had learned that weakness means death, and the law of force is the main thing in the world
• was quite smart in business, ran a brothel when his mother was gone (she died, ironic as it may sound, of a cold fever), and prostitutes both respected him and were very afraid of
• Valentino treated women in a purely consumer way, he was generally the kind of master who yells and then can both caress and physically use
• however, he once paid for the funeral of one of workers when she bleeded and died after abortion, and even was near her in last hour; there were rumors that this child was his too
• his response to all questions was "how damn should I know who knocked her up"
• died in a fire; one of the workers, young Theresa, locked him in, he didn't get out in time and burned alive
Velvette
• Velvette is her stage name; real name was Violet, because of unusual eye color at birth
• was born in 1960s, inherited violet eyes from father: her mother was a somali who fled the country in search of a better life, and father was a white walloon (she spoke Somaligaa with mom and French with dad)
• parents divorced when Vel was a teenager but kept a good relationship
• went to France when she grew up and planned a career as a fashion designer
• to some extent it was her eyes that got her noticed by photographers and she later had a career as a model, although she didn't fit standards for height (too short) and skin color (too dark-skinned)
• she had a hard enough time, but she had a tough character and didn't hesitate to make way by any means necessary
• however, Vel never agreed to sleep with anyone in exchange for preferential treatment: no, she's an independent woman and she'll only sleep with someone who deserves it
• planned to earn enough money, leave modeling, go back to what she had wanted, marry a nice wealthy gentleman and have a son; not that she really wanted to have a baby, this just seemed normal to her
• Vel wouldn't have been very caring soft mother, but she would have tried to provide for child, hired a good nanny and been present in his life
• at the age of twenty-five she hit a girl with a car, but bought off the court
• the girl's father couldn't relive loss and bribed one of Vel's detractors to shoot her dead

Eleanor taunts her pursuers in Gone in 60 Seconds (H.B. Halicki, 1974)
Cast: H.B. Halicki, Marion Busia, Jerry Daugirda, James McIntyre, George Cole, Ronald Halicki, Markos Kotsikos. Screenplay: H.B. Halicki. Cinematography: Scott Lloyd-Davies, Jack Vacek. Art direction: Dennis Stouffer. Film editing: Warner E. Leighton. Music: Ronald Halicki, Philip Kachaturian.
True, Americans love cars. But it's equally true that they love seeing them crash. Gone in 60 Seconds is the fulfillment of stunt driver H.B. "Toby" Halicki's dream: to make a movie with the wildest, most destructive car chase in film history. At that he succeeds, with a 40-minute scene in which a yellow 1973 Ford Mustang called Eleanor takes on all comers, leaving 93 automobiles in ruins. Eleanor is the true star of the film, as Halicki realizes: She's the only performer mentioned in the opening credits. The remaining hour or so of the film is just setup, although an additional 32 cars get wrecked in some fashion before the big chase. Halicki plays Maindrian Pace, an insurance investigator with a sideline: He and his crew steal cars and resell them after disguising the stolen cars with identification numbers and license plates taken from similar models they buy from junkyards. (As an upright insurance man, he insists that all the stolen cars be insured.) When he gets a big order from a Venezuelan drug lord for 48 vehicles of all sorts, he and his gang set out to procure them. Each car is given a woman's name as a way of keeping track of them. There are a few hiccups: Nancy, a Cadillac Eldorado, is discovered to have a trunk full of heroin; Maindrian insists that she has to be destroyed, which angers his brother-in-law, Eugene (Jerry Daugirda), who wants to sell the drugs. Eleanor is also a problem: At the very last minute before he's supposed to deliver the cars, Maindrian discovers that she's uninsured, which goes against his rule. Fortunately, he knows where another Eleanor can be stolen, which further angers Eugene, who rats out Maindrian to the cops, giving them the location where Maindrian is going to steal her. When he's discovered, Maindrian takes off in the new Eleanor, leading a flotilla of cop cars from various Southern California towns and cities into the film's autopocalypse. The remarkable thing about the great chase is that Halicki was able to get cooperation from various authorities, ranging from the California Highway Patrol to the mayors and city councils of the towns through which it runs. The story of how the movie was made is in some ways more interesting than the movie itself. Halicki, driving Eleanor, was seriously injured in one scene and had to shut down filming for three weeks. (Fifteen years later, Halicki was killed in an accident while making a sequel to the movie.) Much of Gone in 60 Seconds is tedious setup exposition, and it's poorly acted -- the cast largely consists of Halicki's friends and family -- but those 40 minutes are golden, a tribute to Halicki's persistence and especially to his cameramen, stunt drivers, and film editors.

Post-AGT Appearance 1305: The Matt Walsh Show WWTN 99.7 fm August 23
Man of my Dreams would have dropped out of the top 100.
While starting to film the 3 movies I would have lost 2 days to heat prostration and one to respiratory difficulties. While being treated for the heat prostration the doctor would have told me that I had had covid 19 years ago and it left my lungs weakened-long covid. So I would be reclining as often as possible and using my cpap machine while awake also. Since 2 of my 3 characters would be ill we would have filmed my sickest scenes during the days that followed-quite convincingly.
Biden would have withdrawn from the race the exact same day. Despite a deluge of requests to myself and my agent I would decide not to comment until after the convention. The convention would have been very different. In addition to Harris, Marianne Williamson, Dean Phillips and 2 others would have been nominated. Over 100 delegates, including the whole Delaware delegation, would have voted for Biden. Harris would have been behind until California voted and would not have clinched until they got to Virginia.
Phil Donahue would have started in 75th place on the list of people suspected of being the last name on Phillip's sick list, never rose higher and dropped out of the top 100 in 2021. Still I would need to comment on his death. Since his widow is also very ill we would agree not to make any joke about it. At last I would decide to combine my first comment about the Democratic developments with a comment about Donahue. We would release it late this afternoon and the first to quote it would be Matt Walsh on WWTN in Tennessee. He hosts a talk show from 11 pm to midnight. He would mention it at the end of his opening comments.
Walsh: Also in the news this week, a matter of no small concern to one in my profession, the passing of legendary talk show host Phil Donahue. I won't say everyone is mourning, but a lot of people are thinking, including one Phil Cole. Here in Tennessee we love Phil Cole for his 3 Tennessee characters and some old fashioned country songs. His social commentary is a little erratic but that's his business. Still he just released a comment that will make sense to...some of you. Maybe you could call or text me about it. He says.
PBC: Phil Donahue died at the perfect time for a man like him: just before the Democratic convention destroyed the causes he was dreaming of.
Walsh: Wow! We'll be right back.
