☃️Dress your baby in layers to help them stay warm. Use a base layer of lightweight, warm clothing, such as a long-sleeved onesie and pants, followed by a middle layer of fleece or a lightweight sweater, and a top layer of a warm coat, hat, gloves, and boots.
☃️Keep your baby's head and face covered to protect them from the cold. A warm hat that covers their ears is especially important, as babies lose most of their body heat through their heads.
☃️Keep your baby away from drafts and cold winds. If you're using a stroller, make sure to cover your baby with a warm blanket or use a weather-resistant cover to protect them from the elements.
☃️Avoid being outside for extended periods, especially if it's very cold or windy. If you do need to be outside for a longer period, take frequent breaks to warm up in a heated area.
☃️Keep an eye on your baby for signs of hypothermia or frostbite. Symptoms of hypothermia in babies include shivering, lethargy, and difficulty feeding. Frostbite can cause red, white, or pale skin that feels cold or looks waxy. If you suspect your baby may have hypothermia or frostbite, seek medical attention immediately.
