SO au, Cody is mostly blind and makes close friends with Leaf and Sorrel, and after the clans leave, she falls for a tom named Franz, and eventually becomes pregnant. Not wanting to lose her kits again, she convinces Franz to guide her to the new Clans, but he leaves her high and dry on the mountaintop. Thankfully, the Tribe cats are kind enough to help her down the mountain, and she shows up on Thunderclan land on a snowy morning...and stumbles on Leafpool giving birth, Squirrelflight watching over her.

Cody gets the scoop after greeting her old friend, and feeling her own labor coming on, offers to keep the kits with her own litter. Cody's labor is thankfully short, and she names each kit after a flower. Thunderclan is baffled but delighted at the former kittypet, and Firestar welcomes her back. Sorreltail helps her get settled in the nursery, and fills her in on the gossip, like she and Brackenfur having an amicable breakup. The three mollies become close once again...and when Ashfur goes after Squirrelflight for abandoning him, Cody lectures him into submission, and eventually he changes his ways fully.

After the Great Battle, and Squirrelstar's rise after Brambleclaw's death saving his apprentice Hollytail, Squirrelstar quietly changes the Thunderclan code - since Leafpool has Molefoot the Extremely AceAro as her apprentice, Leafpool can have a mate and kits. Graystripe is the donor for the last litter, and things are bright and kinder - Sunflower and Basil grow up with Juniper, Alder, Spark, and Thicket, Dandelion and Cinderheart fall in love, and Jasmine makes strides for changes in the Code to destroy ableism.
