Cod ww2 as cat breeds
By chat gpt
Here’s a breakdown of which cat breed each Call of Duty: WWII character might be based on their personalities and traits:
1. Daniels – Maine Coon
Loyal, reliable, and versatile, just like this gentle giant of the cat world.
2. Zussman – Siamese
Playful, vocal, and always ready to engage, with a touch of charm.
3. Aiello – American Shorthair
Down-to-earth, adaptable, and classic, with a sense of humor.
4. Stiles – Scottish Fold
Friendly, quirky, and laid-back, with a unique personality that stands out.
5. Turner – Norwegian Forest Cat
Noble, protective, and steady, like this regal and dependable breed.
6. Pierson – Bengal
Intense, fierce, and energetic, with a wild side but deep loyalty.
7. Perez – Ragdoll
Calm, comforting, and trustworthy, a perfect support figure.
8. Vivian – Russian Blue
Graceful, intelligent, and quietly confident, with an air of mystery.
9. Crowley – British Shorthair
Sophisticated, composed, and calculating, yet with a warm undertone.
10. Howard – Tabby (Domestic Cat)
Approachable, friendly, and easygoing, with an everyman vibe.
11. Rousseau – Abyssinian
Bold, independent, and resourceful, with a striking and adventurous nature.

"See you at dah pahty Rousseau!"
I lowkey wanted a leather sportcoat for 30 years since seeing them in the ads that El Dorado photographed for Hermes, but knew that anyone wearing them at best would look like Michael Ironside in Total Recall. I was super tempted though when this vintage custom handmade leather sportcoat came on sale, made to my size by Claude Rousseau, one of the most illustrious alumni of Paris tailor Joseph Camps, which now as Camps de Luca is perhaps the best tailor in the world (for reasons I write about in my book). After a long career on his own, Rousseau merged with Cifonelli, as did another Camps alum, Gabriel Gonzalez. Camps had been a member of the Groupe des Cinq, a set of fashion-forward custom tailors that tried to break with conservative norms that tailors like Cifonelli had represented. Today, all of the surviving tailors in Paris lay claim to classic elegance, but Camps de Luca and Cifonelli do so with the greatest attention to detail.
Super smooth high quality leather, and notice that the jacket is made like a normal sportcoat and not a leather jacket in that the fronts go all the way down instead of being pieced together at the waist, You won't find that easily:
Tumblr media
Rousseau used the very recognizable cran parisien notch on the lapel - it's what used to be called a fishmouth or cod's mouth lapel for the shape (like an open fish mouth), and wasn't widely used except by the Groupe des Cinq and its alums or during the 1970s or 1920s-1930s:
Tumblr media
He even put on the milanaise very neat, raised lapel buttonhole - another feature only of the best Paris tailors, called "Milanaise" not because it was Italian but because the buttonhole thread came from a brand with an Italian-sounding name (thanks to Jeffery Diduch for chasing this down):
Tumblr media
That's got to have been hard to sew on leather.
Working buttonholes are a trap. The reason they're on custom tailoring is because the sleeve length is tailored properly to your own arms. If they're on a ready-to-wear jacket, it's hard to lengthen or shorten the sleeve without it looking funny.
Tumblr media
Actually opening them is something only custom tailoring n00bs do. It's a silly world.
Some reinforcement under the collar:
Tumblr media
Camps and de Luca came up with a so-called secret inner pocket on the lining that became another trademark of the firm and their alums. Rousseau's was in the form of a circle:
Tumblr media
In the end I didn't buy it. It went to someone else and I wish them well. All I would have gotten out of it was the same visual interest I have in posting about it, so I hope this was entertaining.

One of my favorite campaigns ever.
Have a glimpse of Stiles’ photo wall! I imagine he sometimes took candids and portraits of the people he met along the way.

1825 June, Tues. 7
7
11 20/60
Went out to the workmen at 8 1/4 – Called for a moment at Lower-Brea – Saw George R– [Robinson] rubbing a stirrup leather with something to supple it, prevent its cracking – The mixture was about one lb. of tallow to about one quart of cod-oil (oil made from codfish – not kept by the druggists here) the same composition used by Curriers, and used by George R– [Robinson] for leather in his cardmaking business –
Said I, “It would be a good thing for harness once a year..” Yes! said he, very – But then the leather should be wet (steeped all the night before) or it would burn it – “All oil put on to leather not wet, burns it” – In making this composition, the oil should be gradually mixed with the tallow at melting heat; if the tallow be boiling or too hot, the oil crackles it – The composition looks like a well mixed compound of oil with a little bees’ wax in it, so as to be about the consistence of soft butter – In short it looked very like palm-oil –
From Lower Brea (about 9) went to Sutcliffe wood to see the road the trustees of the Brighouse and Denholme gate turnpike road are making thro’ it to lead their rubble – 2 men at work – 4d [pence] a square yard for getting and barrowing the stuff to be moved, 2/6 a road for making the bed of the road, and a right to all the rubble there in the course of their cutting – Which rubble they will sell at 2nd for a one-horse cart load, 4d [pence] or 2 ditto ditto and 6d [pence] or 3 ditto ditto that the men thought they should have a pretty good job of it; for the stuff was very good to get – I counted 18 oak trees (wavers) pulled, and cut up, and one ash tree – None of them worth more than 6 or a shilling –
Sauntered back (in 55 minutes) reading volume 1 Rousseau Confessions and got home at 10 1/2 – Breakfast at 10 3/4 – Staid downstairs talking till 1 – Some demur about going to Bordeaux – It ends in will not fix till after my aunt gets to Bath – My aunt thinks my uncles life precarious, and this and the great expense are the obstacle. My uncle had said it could but go. Out of principle, I said this was nothing. My uncle would leave her just the same, she would never feel it. No, said she, but you would. Oh, said I, should never mind that. But I dwelt a little on my uncle’s life being more uncertain than hers. She was in the better way of the two and I did not press Bordeaux very much. She says if she does not go there she will return home by Swansea and see the Listers there –
Came upstairs at 1, wrote the above of today – From 1 1/2 to 4 25/60 wrote 3 pages and the ends to M– [Mariana] to go tomorrow. Sent my compliments to Miss Pattison, saying it was not my intention ever to recommend anyone to the de Boyves’ – Said I thought her friends would be satisfied with the accommodations – Said no God was satisfied when I was there. It was the genteelest pension in Paris, but not the most comfortable – Mentioned the terms and the height of the rooms from the ground-floor – Advised going to an hotel – Hotel de Hollande, where Major and Mrs. N– [Norcliffe] were (Rue de la Paix), no. number v6, which they liked and thought reasonable. And said I myself liked the hotel des Iles Britanniques rue de la Paix, no. number 3. Mentioned that Madame Coure would be ready to recommend a few inmates into her house next, and said I could depend upon the recommendation which praised her to me – Her apartment “a delightful premier” rue Matignon, no. number 3, Faubourg St. Honoré –
Hoped M– [Mariana]’s visit here this summer would not fall thro’ – It was a chance whether I should be at home the end of next month – Dr. Kenny advised my aunt’s going to Bath and I was to set off with her on the 11th next month – Had just had a letter from Miss McL– [MacLean] begging me to try to meet her in Edinburg and had planned returning with her to the Highlands when this plan of going with my aunt was fixed yesterday – Merely observed I was surprised and aggrieved at what she said about Mrs. H[enry] S[teph] B[elcombe] but hoped things would take a turn for the better –
At 4 ½ Went out to the workmen – To my surprise found all hands employed building up a support wall against the foot of the great wall next to Lower Brea garden – Jackman had heard it crack, and was afraid of its giving way – This has put us back – I know not how we shall be at all ready for the view on Thursday –
A little drizzling rain as I went to the footpath, which continued increasing till about 6 when we had 1/2 hours heavy rain – Staid under cover of the wall till the rain was abating – Then got home at 6 35/60 – Changed my damp clothes – Dinner at 6 50/60 – In the evening wrote the last 16 lines –
Fine day till after 4 p.m., fair from about 7 1/4 p.m. Barometer 1 1/4 degree below changeable and Fahrenheit 50º at 9 55/60 p.m. at which hour came up to bed – E [two dots, treating venereal complaint] O [two dots, marking discharge] –
