Ford Falcon 429 Super Cobra Jet 2-door Sedan, 1970 1/2. This was the last generation for the US Falcon and only existed for 6 months as the new entry level to Ford's intermediate range. Only 90 Cobra Jet 2-door Sedans left the factory. For 1971 the Falcon model name was dropped and the Torino nameplate was used across Ford's entire intermediate model line

Often we see comparisons between brands, a tactic that normally has the Ford guys vote Ford, Chevy guys vote Chevy and so on.
Here is a comparison between two iconic muscle cars from 1969, the 428 Cobra Jet(top) vs the Boss 429(bottom).
There was a time that the Boss was not only my choice but also my favorite car of all time. As I've aged, the Cobra Jet has leveled up to the Boss.
Which one do you like better?

This is a 1969 Ford Mustang Sportsroof “R Code” with a 428 Cobrajet big block engine and a C6 automatic transmission. The car has 13,600 original miles and is in excellent condition, with all the numbers matching. Shelby GT500 “King Of The Road”
The Shelby GT500 first appeared for the 1967 model year, Ford had developed an updated Mustang with an all new and slightly larger bodyshell than now had space under the hood for one of their larger 428 cubic inch V8.The GT500 received lightweight fiberglass parts including the front-end, the hood, the rear tail light panel and deck lid, the quarter panel extension, and side scoops in front of the rear wheels. The car were originally equipped with the Ford FE 428 cubic inch Police Interceptor V8 fitted with a mid-rise cast aluminum intake and two 4 barrel 600 CFM Holley carburetors. The engine produced a claimed 355 bhp at 5,400 rpm with 420 lb ft of torque at 3,200 rpm. In 1968 the cars began receiving the “Cobra Jet” V8. These can be identified by their cast alloy valve covers with raised lettering that reads “Cobra Le Mans” as a reference to the FE-engined Ford GT40 that was dominating the 24 Hour of Le Mans at the time. These later cars fitted with the Cobra Jet V8 would be given the slightly modified model name Shelby GT500 KR, for “King of the Road.”
