it was a warm-up, after a short break, but i wanted to show you. actually i finished the christmas special (written by @vladimirsangel), now we have to wait a few month. ouwww and i found out that, i am working on the LAST chapter of season 2!!! you guys are reading season 1, this ends with the end of this year. so i produced a lot the last months. EDIT: just counted the files, from october 2023 until now (october 2024) i drew 597 comic pages.

⭐️ I think since they didn't let Christine have a gun in Phantom of the Opera to shoot the Phantom with, they 100% should have let Meg shoot him in Love Never Dies. Like you already butchered her character you might as well let her have some vengeance. And also maybe he does deserve to be shot because he didn't learn his lesson in the first musical! Hey there! I’ve been reading A Better Kind Of Animal, and (among other aspects) I love your authorial voice. I’m curious to ask: Beyond Disco Elysium, do you have any particular literary inspirations? Or just general reading recommendations, works you love? :-)

Thanks! I've definitely absorbed stylistic bits and pieces from all sorts of books over time, but I don't have any specific inspirations that I can point to (though I'm 99% sure that my banter-writing style can be traced directly to the Star Wars Republic Commando book series... those were my favorite books in high school and were honestly pretty pivotal for me, lmao).

I'm a big fan of how Pratchett uses language in the Discworld books! I've not been able to emulate that style, but it's writing goals for me.

My current favorite book is Network Effect (book 5 in the Murderbot series). One of the rare books that I've read more than once.

The "Space Opera Network" is the Rabbids equivalent of a soap opera channel.

Space Opera = Soap Opera

That would explain why there's multiple stages involving different rooms like a kitchen and a doctor's office or a whole set for a Fantasy TV series.

I don't know if I should feel like a genius or an idiot for figuring that out.

Dean's hands play with the collar of Castiel's shirt his mind helpfully reminding him now they will have to go buy him clothes and other stuff, human stuff. Human like he is now. He knows that line of thoughts is just the way his brain has to delay what is making him so nervous, he can't even meet Castiel's eyes, for God's shake. He wonders where his usual confidence has gone to.

Then he remembers that facade isn't what he wants Castiel to see of him. Sam left a while ago. He hugged Cas first, because Dean was frozen on the spot, unable to move, refusing to believe what he saw was nothing but a trick, a lie, a mirage, preparing himself to soften the blow when he confirmed it.

He feels Castiel's pulse right where his knuckles are touching his neck, warm skin, that's what he feels under his touch, the quickened beat of a heart that matches his. He always comes back, Dean's Faith says, that tiny, stubborn and wise thing.

"Cas, I've, well, I've wanted to do something, for so long," he doesn't think he can do this without asking, just in case he misunderstood, just in case Cas changed his mind. Castiel stares at him, expectantly, blue eyes bright now that the usual shadow of sadness there is gone, encouraging, fond, "May I...?" He leans in even closer and his words get lost somewhere between his brain and his mouth, and maybe they are the thing making his breath hitch.

"Kiss me, Dean." Castiel mutters, gripping Dean's arms tightly and going willingly when Dean yanks him closer with a hand on the back of his neck, the other still holding onto his shirt. Castiel follows his lead, he has wanted this for so long too, his lips move with Dean's as if they had done this dance a million times before.

Dean brushes their noses together when they have to stop to breathe and Cas chases his lips once more, "welcome, home," It's just a whisper, almost a prayer, right against his lips, adoring and tender, "stay." He adds and, before Castiel can breathe past the lump that word has forming in his throat, before he can find the words, Dean's lips are on his again.
