Cliff Palace, Mesa Verde National Park (No. 13)
Cliff Palace is the largest cliff dwelling in North America. The structure built by the Ancestral Puebloans is located in Mesa Verde National Park in their former homeland region. The cliff dwelling and park are in Montezuma County, in the southwestern corner of Colorado, in the Southwestern United States.
Tree-ring dating indicates that construction and refurbishing of Cliff Palace was continuous approximately from 1190 CE through 1260 CE, although the major portion of the building was done within a 20-year time span. The Ancestral Puebloans, also known as Anasazi, who constructed this cliff dwelling and the others like it at Mesa Verde were driven to these defensible positions by "increasing competition amidst changing climatic conditions". Cliff Palace was abandoned by 1300, though debate is ongoing as to the cause. Some contend that a series of megadroughts interrupting food production systems was the main cause.
Cliff Palace was rediscovered in 1888 by Richard Wetherill and Charlie Mason while they were looking for stray cattle.

Image description: We can see a couple dozen of the sandstone-and-mortar rooms that make up the Cliff Palace site. The rooms mostly have sharp corners, but a few are round. They are built under an overhanging cliff.

@inception30daychallenge Day 3: A post-canon headcanon.
I love the settings most where Eames, Arthur and Ariadne (and sometimes Yusuf) create a formal-informal team; Eames having discovered his talent for extraction (and dreamshare is out of their best extractor, so, there's a new opening). Speaking of, Cobb goes to therapy. The kids go to therapy. Phillipa takes a long time to trust Cobb again. James builds a lot of creepy lego "houses on cliffs" to deal with his abandonment issues. Yusuf... buys more cats and a $500 wallet with his new funds. He also hires an assistant (Nash. Nash/Yusuf ftw). Saito, having just achieved his greatest success by taking down his competitor via inception, but at a great cost and personal journey, steps down from his running his company and hands the reigns over (but remains on the board, for now). He goes on a long journey and rides several trains over the world, and, after a solid two years, ends up "by chance", passing by Cobb in California. They go for dinner. Arthur and Eames wake up in a Vegas hotel one morning. Ariadne finds herself a lovely french woman and retires to avoid introducing her to dreamshare. Everyone is pretty damn satisfied (and happy).

Mesa Verde National Park (No. 21)
The Cliff Palace Overlook is the first stop 6-mile (10 km) Cliff Palace Loop Road. Recent studies reveal that Cliff Palace contained 150 rooms and 23 kivas and had a population of approximately 100 people. Out of the nearly 600 cliff dwellings concentrated within the boundaries of the park, 75% contain only 1-5 rooms each, and many are single room storage units. If you visit the Cliff Palace overlook you will view an exceptionally large dwelling which may have had special significance to the original occupants. It is thought that Cliff Palace was a social, administrative site with high ceremonial usage.

STAR WARS EPISODE I: The Phantom Menace 01:54:56
I'm not sure exactly where these windows are in relation to the rest of the Palace, as they don't seem to appear in any other shots or reference material.

Inside the Worlds/Complete Locations marks the top of the dome as where this scene occurs, but that bank of windows is too large to fit at the base of the dome.
Tumblr media
Using the large watchtower as a reference point makes it difficult to see where this might be. Unless there’s another watchtower in a cliff, that is obscured in the shots that we see? Does anyone have any insight into this?

NOTE
The above are concepts classified according to subject and usage. It not only helps writers and thinkers to organize their ideas but leads them from those very ideas to the words that can best express them.
It was, in part, created to turn an idea into a specific word. By linking together the main entries that share similar concepts, the index makes possible creative semantic connections between words in our language, stimulating thought and broadening vocabulary.
