Louis had Lestat’s calling card in Dubai so was Louis carrying it with him while him and Claudia were traveling Eastern Europe during WWII? No wonder she hated him then

“Please let him live, please my love. Please, please, please…”
“… I can offer only time”
“Please I’ll be anything. Please please please please please please please please…”
“… you will regret this for the rest of your life”
Lestat and Rio, powerful beings with a temper and a mania for theatrics, who fell in love so hard that they ended up defying the laws of nature to give their lover a child, but also ultimately being the last ones to see that child alive. Lestat and Rio, whose love and jealousy and empathy and protectiveness are so deep, but who are fully convinced that their beloved hates them.
Louis and Agatha, powerful and arrogant and cunning but also gentle, hiding behind a mask that will protect them from a world that hates them, hardened by time. Louis and Agatha, who love their beloved so deeply but never managed to fully express the magnitude of their love, and who end up resenting their lover for the fate of their child.
Claudia and Nicholas, doomed to die from the start, whose new life was given by a parent, and whose affections were given by the other, but whose lives were never meant to last, as they were never meant to live in the first place. Claudia and Nicholas, haunting the narrative centuries after their death, whose fate is universally masked by a lie.

Claudia college fits (modern AU). I imagine she majors in world history and tries to connect the dots between human version of historical events with vampire history and tries to lock in on the key vampires who have shaped the world and their current whereabouts.

AMC Networks’ Interview With the Vampire is undergoing a big casting change. Bailey Bass, who played the series’ female lead, teenage vampire Claudia in Season 1, will not continue on the adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel. She is being replaced by Delainey Hayles, who is taking on the role for Season 2, which starts production next week in Prague and will also shoot in Paris and New Orleans.

The network said in a statement: “Bailey Bass is a talented actor who did a remarkable job bringing the character of Claudia to life in Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. For a variety of reasons, Delainey Hayles will appear as Claudia in season two. We are grateful for Bailey’s unforgettable performance in season one and wish her nothing but the best.”
Bass issued her own statement: “Due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances I’m unable to return to Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire for the second season,” she said. “Playing Claudia has been a dream role and an incredible ride. I wish Delainey the best of luck in taking over. I cannot wait to watch. I’m extremely appreciative of AMC, the producers, Jacob, Sam, the crew and, of course, the wonderful fans.”

Everyday I’m cursed with thinking about how on the train in 1x06 Lestat told Claudia if he she ever tried to leave again he’d turn her bones to dust. Then in 2x07 at the trial he watched as her bones were turned to dust after she was finally able to leave him. Lestat I hope that haunts you
