La historia arranca cuando Arturo Portilla, el hijo de una de las familias textileras más importantes del país, anuncia que se hará una gran búsqueda para encontrar a la chica que será la próxima imagen de su línea de ropa deportiva. Ofelia ve en esto la oportunidad perfecta para cambiar su vida y así, finalmente, dejar atrás la pobreza.

Los destinos de las dos familias quedan unidos cuando la señora García llega a suplir al ama de llaves de la mansión de la familia Portilla.

Like, after reading the book I completely understand why Rice decided to change protagonists, and most of the changes so far have been for the better, but what really sticks out to me is how much of an improvement Louis as a character got, becoming much more interesting + Anderson really brought a lot of charm and depth to him with his acting.
